Do you want to know how to transform your body?

Body transformation is something that I am very familiar with.

At another stage of my life, I was really overweight and developed a binge eating disorder.

I want to share with you how I was able to transform my body and get it to a healthy and peak condition. Keep reading to discover how I did it!

Your body is a temple.

This is why it's so important that you take care of it. It's the only place that you have to live. I've always been passionate about health and fitness. Back in 2012 and 2014, I competed in fitness competitions. As you can imagine, there was a lot of training involved. During that time, I was hands down, in the best shape of my life.

However, my transformation was deeper than just how I looked on the outside. The real transformation that I experienced was on the inside. I gained so much more confidence and self-esteem and I developed an unwavering amount of willpower and self-discipline.

The beautiful thing about these character traits is that they can be transferred to every area of your life. Lastly, I developed so much energy, vitality, and radiance. However, I experienced a lot of challenges along the way.

I want to share with you my journey with health and fitness.

I got into fitness when I was 18 years old because I was insecure about myself and my body. I believed that by being “bigger” I would attract more women into my life and gain more respect from other men. The irony is that having bigger biceps doesn't necessarily make you a more attractive person. What makes you attractive to others is the personal power and confidence that you gain from taking care of your body.

I started lifting weights. At this stage of my life, my goal was to build muscle. Hence, I was eating everything that I possibly could. I would consume 1,000 calorie protein shakes every day. The challenge that I faced was that I had a very fast metabolism. I knew a lot about fitness, but unfortunately, I didn't know anything about health. By consuming enough calories and working out a lot, I was able to get bigger.

Unfortunately, I ended up gaining a lot of fat in the process. I was 180 pounds. Luckily, I was able to convert my pain into motivation and it drove me to change my body. But that was only for the short-term. My motivation soon dwindled. I soon learned that the only thing that makes motivation sustainable is when you associate pleasure to the process of eating healthy and working out.

In 2012, I wanted to take my fitness to the next level, so I decided to hire a life coach.

He told me that if I really wanted to transform my body, I had to enter a fitness competition which would motivate me to train for six months. He believed that this is what would hold me personally accountable for following through with my health goals. I didn't care about winning a trophy. It was the person whom I was going to become along the way that mattered most. In my eyes, that was going to be my ultimate form of accomplishment.

I was able to accomplish my goal, but it was a huge sacrifice to my health. Unfortunately, at the time, I didn't realize it because I didn't understand the principles of health. I was depriving myself of so many calories that I ended up developing a binge eating disorder. On a given day, I was consuming 10,000 calories.

I was constantly trying to bounce back with cardio and weightlifting. It was a toxic cycle. Luckily, I was able to overcome this disorder. In 2014, I competed in a second fitness competition but did it in a more healthy way.

Today, fitness is still very important to me, but health trumps everything. My focus is on having strength, energy and endurance. I believe that energy is the ultimate advantage of life. You can do this through the foods that you eat and how you train and exercise.

Here is my workout routine & mindset.

I weightlift for five days per week. It's great for sculpting my body. On Monday I do chest, on Tuesday I do back, on Wednesday I do shoulders, on Thursday I do arms, and on Friday I do legs. On the weekends I rest or repeat the process.

My workout sessions are 45 minutes to one hour in length. I do six exercises, four body parts, and four-sets per exercise. My rep range is 8-12. If I really want to tone out my muscles and be in a more fat-burning zone, I take a lower rest time between my sets.

The challenge with weight training is that you build a lot of acid in your body and you can tear a lot of your muscle fibers. The consequence is that you are robbed of energy. Hence, you end up needing more sleep and you may feel more sluggish throughout the day. Lastly, weight training will inhibit your flexibility.

This is why I like to balance weightlifting with activities that give me energy. Hence, this is why my diet is very important to me. I eat a lot of live and alkalizing food which helps to clear out the acid from my body. In terms of liquids, I drink 1-2 cold pressed organic green juices every day and a lot of ionized water.

I also enjoy doing aerobic-related exercise, like jogging 3 times per week. This type of exercise increases my oxygen capacity, which gives me the energy that I need in order to crush it every single day.

A great health hack that I've been doing is intermittent fasting.

When I fast, I do it for 14-16 hours.

By doing this, your body burns off fat. You end up consuming fewer calories because you're eating fewer meals throughout the day. Fasting has been shown to improve biomarkers of disease, reduce oxidative stress and preserve learning and memory functioning. I fast certain times throughout the year. I'm a big believer in shocking the body so that it is able to adapt. Fasting gives me an insane amount of energy.

I also love doing a ketogenic diet at certain times throughout the year. I do this when I want to train my body to burn fat for energy rather than carbohydrates. A lot of people are burning carbs as a source of fuel and energy. Burning fat is like burning coals, in that it's more sustainable. When you train your body to burn fat instead of carbs and you're using ketones, your body has more stable energy levels.

If you really want to change your body, there are certain belief systems that you need to adopt. Two of the top affirmations that I recite to myself on a daily basis are – “Nothing tastes as good as healthy and fit feels” and “I eat to fuel my body, not to satisfy an appetite.” If you're struggling to transform your body, get clear on what your reason is for doing so.

This is how to transform your body.

My workout routine and mindset set me up to win. I hope that my story has inspired you to optimize your health. My body is my temple. Every time that I exercise or eat healthily, I am telling myself that I love and respect my body. I encourage you to do the same. If you want to be unstoppable in every area of your life, your health needs to be your top priority.

THIS is how to attract high level, successful people in your life! Your environment and the people that you surround yourself with has a huge impact on the person that you become.

Step back and take a look at your circle of friends. Do these people inspire you to achieve greatness, or does their negative energy leave you feeling unmotivated and stagnant?

If it’s the latter, it’s time to find new friends.

Is this a heartless way of thinking? Not at all. As Jim Rohn once said, “You are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with.”

The Law of Attraction is based on the principle that ‘like attracts like.’ Who you spend time with is who you become. If you want to achieve great things in life, you need surround yourself with great people. It’s that simple.

Are you ready to finally start attracting the right people in your life?

THIS is how you attract the right people in your life! I recommend that you take out a pen and piece of paper and write down these four steps:

1. Define who you want to attract

Who are the kinds of people that you want to attract in your life? What kind of qualities do they possess? If you aren’t clear on who you want to attract, then you won’t attract them.

I recommend that you make a list. The first time that I engaged in this exercise I wrote down names like Tony Robbins and Dwayne Johnson. These were examples of people whose qualities and ways of life I looked up to.

Oftentimes, this list is be based on the visions and goals that you have for your life. Find people who have already mastered the path that you desire to be on.

An example of someone that I had aspirations of attracting into my life, and who now is a good friend of mine, is a man by the name of Wade Lightheart. In my early 20’s when I was training for fitness competitions, I was exploring the idea of becoming a vegetarian. I came across Wade’s story, and he really inspired me.

He was a vegan bodybuilder, who had won national titles on a purely plant-based diet. I wanted to learn from him, so I put on a seminar and invited him to speak. He ended up speaking at my event, and later I received coaching from him and went on to develop a friendship with him that is still going strong to this day.

2. Define who you need to become in order to attract them

Once you have your list of people, define who you need to become in order to attract them into your life. Rather, who do you need to become in order for THEM to seek YOU out?

You attract who you are, and the reality is that people like people that are like them. It’s not until you elevate your status and become someone of value that others seek you out.

Who do you need to become in order to be seen by others as someone of value?

3. Become more valuable

You have to be constantly working on growing and improving yourself if you want to attract high-quality people into your life. If you are a negative person who is always complaining, then those are the types of people that you are going to attract into your life.

Read books, travel, attend seminars, improve your finances, get in better shape. Do whatever it takes in order to attract the very people that ascribe to the same way of life that you aspire to.

THIS is how you attract high level, successful people into your life. Whatever you want to attract, become that so people see the value of your presence in their lives.

4. Put yourself in environments to attract the people you want into your life

Once you get clear on the people that you want to attract into your life, ask yourself, “What kinds of environments do these people hang out in?”

For example, I want to meet people who are passionate about self-development, like I am, so I attend seminars and events where I know I will meet like-minded people and people who are already where I want to be in my own life.

This is one of the reasons why I travel all the time, because it is a great way to network and create relationships with like-minded, high-vibe people. In the words of Tim Sanders, the former Yahoo director, “Your network is your net worth.”

THIS is how you attract the right people into your life! I hope this four-step process inspires you to take action and find the people who inspire you to raise your game and become the person that you desire to be.

Do you want to learn about the 5 areas of life where persistence pays off? If you want to master all areas of your life, you need to understand the value of persistence. However, it's not enough to know something. Life mastery requires that you actually live it, every day.

If you want to achieve anything in life it will require that you possess a killer combination of sheer willpower, determination, and desire.

When it comes to personal development and dating, I understand how important it is for men to develop the communication and confidence skills that are necessary in order to attract a partner into their lives.

When I was 21 years old I started a dating coaching business, that was designed to help men overcome the confidence challenges that I had faced in my own life.

That is why I wanted to invite Eddy Baller, a men's personal development and dating coach, to write a guest post to talk about 5 areas of life where persistence pays off.

Take it away Eddy!

I want to share with you 5 areas of life where persistence pays off. How many of us have embarked on a new journey to accomplish something big, only to become disillusioned and quit when it didn’t work out?

The human mind is notoriously bad at making time predictions for complicated goals. Even showing up on time seems to be a challenge for some people. “I have time, I’ll just finish a few emails…”

The biggest challenges in life usually require a lot of time, and it’s hard to predict how much time. The key ingredient which separates the cream of the crop is persistence – the raw determination and grit that comes from sticking to your goals.

Here are 5 areas of life where persistence pays off:

1. Dating

Anyone who’s ever gone on dates can attest to the fact that dating isn’t always easy. If you’re interested in finding the love of your life, it means going through a lot of ‘candidates’. Shyness and social anxiety can become a serious handicap for someone when it comes to dating.

Being successful in the dating world requires a number of skills, some of which include, learning how to approach women or men, conversational skills, body language, confidence, assertiveness, boundary setting, and more.

If you want to find a partner that is right for you, it will require persistence, in addition to mastering the above skills.

Action step: Get a dating coach or connect with someone who seems to have their dating life together. Learn how they’ve created an abundant love life and emulate their best practices.

2. Relationships

Dating skills are just the first part of our romantic journeys. Once we’ve found a long-term partner, we need a new tool box to keep the romance alive.

A lot of dating skills still apply; confidence, body language, boundaries to name a few, but now we have to learn how to share our space, grow together, and keep it exciting in the bedroom.

It also requires paying attention to our partner's communication style and learning their habits, so that we can avoid unnecessary clashes. This shows that we really understand them.

Action step: Dedicate at least one night per week as a ‘date night’. It’s too easy to get caught up in the business of life and family. Put aside time for a quality get together so that your bond continues to grow.

3. Business

Building a business is tough. There are a myriad of setbacks that are designed to test your ability to persist, which include lack of know how, lack of resources, not having the right people when you need them, bootstrapping, and more.

For those who stay in the fight, the turning point shows up as a change in focus, experience, and a new direction, which may not have been clear in the beginning stages.

Action step: Invest in business and marketing training. Too many people try winging it and end up quitting when it doesn’t work.

4. Mindset

At the age of 20, I was an extremely negative person and all of my friends were negative too. Every day I played the same record in my head. It was always, “people suck”, “rich people suck”, “everything is expensive”, “the weather is no good”, and on and on.

I became tired of my own attitude and wanted to change. I knew that if I kept hanging out with the same people I wouldn't be able to grow. So I decided to start from scratch and distance myself from my old friends.

I set out to learn better social skills to make friends, meet women, and change my mindset. It took years to make serious progress, but the alternative was unthinkable.

Action step: To create a more positive mindset, work on reframing negative thoughts on a daily basis. Just look for the positive angle to the thought you were in the middle of. Do this daily and soon you will start thinking in a different way.

5. Emotions (EQ)

Emotional intelligence, or EQ, has a huge effect on our social success. It allows us to read other people's feelings, understand ourselves, and communicate effectively. People that have a low EQ have weak connections with others.

On the other hand, people with a strong EQ have healthier friendships, romances, and business relationships. When you learn how to master your emotions, you master your life.

Action step: Start by learning more about your own habits and emotions. How do you react to different situations? What happens to your body language when you’re feeling positive or negative emotions?

These are 5 areas of life where persistence pays off! What is one area of your life where persistence has paid off for you? Comment below and let me know!

Here is a sneak peek of our interview together, talking about the 2 critical nutrients for your gut, brain, and waistline:

Can you share a little bit about your background?

I got involved in exercise and fitness at the age of 15. I really loved playing hockey, but there wasn’t much of a career there, so I got into high-performance training and weight lifting. During this time, my sister got diagnosed with cancer and I watched her go through the medical system and die after 4 years. I went onto study exercise and physiology.

During my formal education I didn’t find the answers that I was looking for, so I started to seek out mentors, people who were producing the results that I wanted. I started to replicate their process, and this is when my career started to unfold. I hooked up with one of the best coaches in North America named, Scott Able, and over the course of 15-20 years, I won a bunch of national championships, and went on to become Mr. Universe. However, in 2003, I had a complete physical meltdown. I gained 42 pounds of fat and water in 11 weeks. Prior to that, I had brain fog, bloating, gas, agitation, and zero energy. I found a great doctor who told me that all diseases start in the gut. I started using enzymes and probiotics, and I got my health back.

Over the last 15 years, I have coached over 15,000 clients worldwide. During that time, we have found that the #1 obstacle to performance in people is poor digestion.

Oftentimes people think that fitness and health are one in the same, but they’re not. Can you tell us the difference between the two, and why health always has to be the #1 priority?

Fitness is a component of health, but it isn’t health. Health is an internal game. It’s based on how your organs function, how well you are able to assimilate the nutrients that you are consuming, your mental clarity, your spiritual health, and what I like to call, “mental fitness”, which is very important in today’s world because we are bombarded with so much digital information.

Almost every entrepreneur in the online world gets to a point where they realize that they need to upgrade their health game because they are unable to keep up with the pace of change. This is where optimized health becomes so important.

I've been taking your P3-OM probiotics for years, and it's really made a huge difference to my well-being. Can you share how you developed it and tell us what it contains?

We took a very robust strain of bacteria that had some aggressive properties, and our researchers put it through a training camp. We were able to produce some incredible effects.

On the US patent that was given for this product, it has shown that it is anti-viral, anti-retroviral, and is effective against tumours and all sorts of pathogenic natures. These probiotics travel through the body and clean it up. There is no other probiotic like it. It’s aggressive in that it doubles within 20 minutes of being inside of the body. It just wipes out pathogens.

If you took my P3-OM probiotic supplement for 90 days, it would reset your bio-dome, wipe out pathogens, and clean up any debris that was left in your system. I haven’t used antibiotics in 15 years and I haven’t had any intestinal problems, I’ve never gotten sick, and I don’t worry about it, because I’ve got so many “good guys” in my system.

What are the typical benefits that people can expect to have if they took your P3-OM probiotics and Masszymes?

The benefits come in stages.

Stage one, which is usually the first week or two, a person will notice a difference right away, with regards to stomach bloat and digestion issues. It depends on the person and the amount of undigested food that they have in their stomach, but after week two, people will start to go to the bathroom a lot more. Within two to four weeks, people will notice that they have a lot more energy and are waking up with a lot less brain fog.

During the second month people will notice changes in their skin conditioning, they will have clearer eyes, and some people will be eating less. Almost everyone will notice a change in their stomach. By month two and three, people experience better overall brain functioning and mood levels.

If you look at the top people in the holistic fields, like Dr. Udo Erasmus and Tony Robbins, they are all using probiotics and enzymes because they work, and they make people feel better.

Do you have any advice for someone that wants to change his/her health?

Head on over to our website and sign up for our 84-day course. It teaches you everything that we’ve learned over the last 30 years of being in the health industry. I learned from a young age how important health is, especially after watching my sister die. Health is not a guarantee. Most people don’t take action because they don’t know what to do. That’s why I created this 84-day course – it was a service to humanity to say, “Whether you buy or products or not, it doesn’t matter. Learn the course, and apply as much of it as you can to your life.”

I’m so grateful that I was able to interview my good friend, Wade Lightheart on the 2 critical nutrients for your gut, brain, and waistline. Don't underestimate the power of enzymes and probiotics.

I highly recommend Wade's products. I’ve been taking them for years, and they have made a huge difference to my health and well-being.

The post 5 Ways That Fitness Can Help You Master All Areas Of Life appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

]]>

Health and fitness have always been a top priority in my life. I believe that maintaining a healthy balanced life is essential for happiness and well-being. The best way to achieve balance is by mastering every area of your life.

That is why I wanted to invite Anand Jobanputra, a Strength and Fat Loss Coach, author, and Founder of Underdog Strength, a website dedicated to providing practical fitness, nutrition, and motivation tips, to write a guest post to talk about 5 ways that fitness can help you master all areas of life.

Take it away Anand!

I would like to share with you 5 ways that fitness can help you master all areas of life. You probably already know the importance and benefits of physical fitness for health and well-being. Given that we have become more sedentary over the years, taking care of our health has become more important than ever before.

An unhealthy body and a healthy mind simply do not go hand in hand.

Several research studies have shown that a sedentary lifestyle has been associated with mental health disorders. What most people fail to see is that the benefits of pursuing a fitness goal are beyond physical.

If the benefits of fitness are so far-reaching, then why is it that so many people today are unhealthy?

In my experience, one of the biggest reasons for this is that people don’t create short and long-term fitness goals. Simply going to the gym and working out, without any goals, is not a great motivator. On the other hand, if you set specific goals with regard to your fitness regime, you will be much more motivated to achieve them.

Watch the video below:

Take my example – I used to be morbidly obese growing up, weighing over 275 lbs. I used to work out here and there, but I never achieved any long-lasting results. When I decided to set a goal of losing 100 lbs in one year, that’s when I saw the real results. Not only did I achieve my goal, I actually exceeded it by losing over 125 lbs.

You can clearly see a physical transformation here, but what most people fail to see is the mental transformation that took place. I can say, without a doubt, that my mindset has completely changed by pursuing this goal. It has taught me some valuable life lessons, which I have been able to apply to other areas of my life. You can learn more about my transformation here.

Below are 5 ways that fitness can help you master every area of your life:

1. Fitness teaches You How To Embrace Failure

When pursuing your fitness goals, you will inevitably deal with failure along the way. Failure can be a great opportunity to learn and adjust.

For example, if your goal is to lose weight and to look a certain way, you will hit plateaus where you are not making progress. Maybe your weight has stalled. During these times, you can make adjustments to your diet and training in order to make further progress.

The same techniques can be used when you face failure and plateaus in life. When you view failure as an opportunity to grow is when you achieve mastery in all areas of your life. Michael Jordan said it best, “I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

2. Fitness inspires You To Set and Achieve Your Goals

Fitness has given me the confidence to set goals and achieve them. There are a lot of people who set goals, but fail to achieve them because they lack the confidence to achieve them. Almost anyone can achieve small fitness goals. These small victories can be a huge confidence booster and will give you the motivation to achieve even bigger goals.

The best goals are S.M.A.R.T. goals, which stand for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound goals.

For example, if your goal is to ‘lose some weight’ then you will most likely not achieve anything significant. My personal S.M.A.R.T. goal was to lose 100 lbs. in a year. This meant that I had to lose roughly 2 lbs. per week to get there.

Let’s break it down:

Specific: The goal of losing 100 lbs. is a specific number

Measurable: I weighed myself using a weight a scale. I would also keep track of body measurements to make sure I was making progress towards my goal.

Achievable: Losing 100 lbs seems like a scary goal for most people. But if you break it down to 2 lbs. per week, it doesn’t seem that intimidating does it?

Relevant: Your goals have to be relevant to you. If you want to lose weight, you should do it because you want to, not because someone tells you to. If your goals are intrinsic, you are more likely to achieve them.

Time-Bound: Without a deadline, your goal is just a dream. A deadline not only creates a sense of urgency but it also gives you a date to look forward to.

Once you learn how to set S.M.A.R.T. goals and achieve them, you can easily apply the same goal setting process to other areas of your life.

3. Fitness Improves Your Work Ethic

Any goal that is worthwhile requires an insane amount of work ethic. Most people underestimate how much work it actually takes to achieve a significant goal.

With fitness, you may have the best coach, training program, and supplements to support you, but you have to put in the work. No one else can do it for you.

While it’s important to have long-term goals, you have to focus on the actual process that will get you there. The hard work that you put into your fitness goals will help you develop your work ethic for life.

4. Fitness Helps You Develop Good Habits

Habits are important because they lead to success in the long term. Motivation and willpower are limited resources, which run out pretty fast. Habit is what keeps you going when they run out.

In his book, The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business, author Charles Duhigg talks about how we program our minds and bodies with the actions that we take or do not take on a regular basis.

According to the book, exercising and tracking what you eat are two of the eight ‘Keystone Habits’. Keystone Habits are those habits that are more important than other habits. This is because these habits can cause a chain reaction of other good habits, which will ultimately lead to your success.

If you exercise regularly, you will find that you also eat better, drink less, go to bed early, and increase productivity. Improving one keystone habit can help improve multiple things at the same time.

When you are new to fitness, you need a lot of motivation to go to the gym and eat healthily. Over time, if you make it a habit, it gets so ingrained in you that it doesn’t take much motivation to workout at all. In fact, you may find that it takes you willpower, not to workout and eat healthily.

5. Fitness Teaches You To Have Patience

In this era of instant gratification, patience is more valuable than ever. Even when it comes to fitness, people look for shortcuts to reach their goals. If someone wants to lose weight, they try to look for secrets or the magic pill that will help them get their dream body. We all know that these things don’t work.

Once you’re no longer a beginner, progress slows down over time. This is where patience can help you win in the long term. Most people suffer from shiny object syndrome. If they don’t see results right away, they move on to the next thing and the cycle continues.

With any fitness goal, you learn to trust the process and know that the results will come if you put in the work, one rep at a time. In the words of George Savile, “The man who is a master of patience is a master of everything else.”

These are 5 ways that fitness can help you master your life. If you want to take your life to the next level but don’t know how fitness is a great place to start!

When you pursue and achieve your fitness goals, your success will carry over into all areas of your life.

The OURA ring, otherwise known as the world’s first ring-size wellness computer, is a high-performance activity and sleep tracker. This awesome ring helps me perform better. I’ve been wearing the OURA ring for the past few months and I’ve noticed a massive improvement in my sleep and energy levels. You may be wondering, “How can wearing a ring make you sleep and feel better?”

When you sleep, the OURA ring analyzes the quality of your rest and recovery by measuring your heart rate, respiration rate, body temperature, and movement. When you are awake, it monitors the duration and intensity of your activities (Griffiths, 2015). Petteri Lahtela, the CEO and co-founder of OURA says, “It’s basically a computer on your finger that interprets sleep and other rhythms of your body through built-in nanosensors.”

As many of you know, I am a huge fan of morning rituals, which allow me to perform at my best and be in a peak state, so that I am unstoppable every day. This awesome ring helps me perform better. A good night’s sleep is a precursor for a productive day. If you wake up feeling groggy most days, the OURA ring could be the answer to your sleepless nights.

The OURA ring helps you track how your lifestyle choices are affecting your sleep and how the quality of your life affects your ability to perform. I’m a huge fan of activity trackers. Anything that brings more awareness to my overall activity on a daily basis and that motivates me to move more is a great thing. Human beings weren’t designed to sit all day. We were made to move and be active.

The best part about this product is that it syncs to my phone, via Bluetooth. The OURA App is excellent, in terms of its usability and data display. It ring tracks your heart rate, as well as the number of steps you take, the exercise you do, the calories that you burn, and your temperature. Furthermore, it reads your overall sleep activity, which they call your “readiness score,” which takes into account all the exercise you have done and how much sleep you had the night before. For example, if I got a great night's sleep and recovered well the next day, the ring will send me a notification suggesting that I could take it easy today because I recovered well.

In the past, some nights I would sleep for 8 hours and wake up refreshed, whereas other nights I would sleep for 8 hours and wake up feeling groggy. From using the OURA ring, I have learned that it's not about the quantity of your sleep, but rather it's about the quality. Because this ring tracks your heart rate and your temperature, it gives you some great insights about the quality of your sleep. By having this awareness, I've been able to increase the amount of deep sleep that I get every night, by 2 hours. As a result, my entire life has transformed. This awesome ring helps me perform better. I'm a big fan of biohacking my sleep. I've used a Fitbit in the past in order to track my sleeping patterns, but the OURA ring takes it one step further and tracks the following sleep data:

 • Total Sleep Time
 • Sleep Efficiency – a measure between time asleep and time awake
 • Sleep Disturbances – showing how restless you were during the night
 • REM – how much REM stage sleep you got
 • Deep – how much deep stage sleep you got
 • Sleep Onset Latency – how long it took you to fall asleep
 • Circadian Alignment – whether or not you are sleeping in alignment with the light/dark cycle

Another reason why I switched from a Fitbit to the OURA ring is that you can turn it off via Bluetooth. FitBit does not allow this. This is great because it erases the potential for harmful effects on the body, which can effect your overall health.

This awesome ring helps me perform better. If you want to learn more about the product, visit the OURA ring website. Because I am an affiliate for this company, I was able to get a 10% discount for my members. If you want to purchase the ring, log onto their website, and click on, ‘get the ring.’ At check out, if you want to save 10%, use the coupon code, ‘mastery.’

In the words of Brian Tracy, “Peak performance begins with you taking complete responsibility for your life and everything that happens to you.” Your ability to perform at an optimal level every day depends on the quality of your sleep. Take control of your well-being so that you can master all areas of your life.

Biohacking has become a popular news topic, especially due to the successful efforts of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs Tim Ferriss and Dave Asprey.

However, this viable option for improving your life is not limited to people with a lot of wealth, time or scientific knowledge. Instead, there are multiple techniques that everyone from novices to experts can utilize in order to boost their cognitive performance and improve their physical health.

The word biohacking probably makes most people envision a lab environment, and it is true that people who have an interest in biology often get together in a lab space with the intention of testing bold new concepts on each other.

This has even led to the creation of new nootropic supplements and electronic wearables. Even if biology is not your forte though, you can easily incorporate the following three tips into your daily life to help you reach your full potential.

shiny-brain-1150907

1.Nootropic Supplements

Nootropics has been specifically designed to give people a cognitive boost, and some of them are also able to assist users with issues such as anxiety and depression. In other words, developing a nootropic routine can be the perfect way to leave you feeling more alert and better able to retain new information while focusing on whatever task is at hand. Studies have determined that Piracetam has the potential to offer temporary cognitive enhancements, and there is also some research that indicates that Peak Nootropics Noopept relieves anxiety and Aniracetam may help with memory and learning improvements. There are numerous nootropics available, and some of them work better when taken with at least one other supplement.

2. Wearable Electronics – If your main goal is to use biohacking to boost your physical health and performance, you will definitely want to turn to wearable electronics to help you track your daily vital statistics.

This can be especially important if you are attempting to develop new biology-based solutions for common problems, such as obesity and brain fog.

Tracking information that includes your food intake and any specific positive or negative reactions to new biohacking techniques enables these individuals to make smarter choices, which in turn makes it possible for them to improve the overall quality of their life.

3. Healthy Lifestyle Choices

Wearable electronics can monitor and record a long list of activities so that you can analyze your results, but only you can actually make the necessary lifestyle changes to improve your physical and mental health. Therefore, a major component of biohacking is to pay close attention to your body’s mental and physical needs.

This includes getting a solid seven to eight hours of sleep every night, exercising on a regular basis and removing food from your diet that is highly processed or filled with sugar. Biohackers also often take advantage of brain exercising tactics, such as puzzles and reading to help keep themselves sharp.

It is common for biohackers to combine healthy lifestyle changes with wearable electronics, nootropic supplements, meditation and biology research to provide themselves with the best possible tools for success.

Emulating this approach is likely to give you optimal results, but everyone has the potential to improve their life by adopting even just one or two of the biohacking standards. For example, if you were to begin making better lifestyle choices and start taking nootropics, you may soon find yourself with fewer aches and pains, more energy and a sharper mind that makes it easier to take in new information and remain focused during important tasks.

Many long-term visitors to my blog will know my history with fat loss and competing in fitness shows. One of my staples to helping me lose weight and get so lean has been proper supplementation, specifically with a quality CLA supplement.

CLA, also known as Conjugated Linoleic Acid, is a supplement derived from safflower oil. Some of the amazing benefits of taking a CLA supplement every day is decreased fat storage, as well as burning body fat.

In this article and video, I'm going to share with you many CLA supplement benefits that you may not even be aware of. Whether you want to lose body fat, prevent body fat storage, or gain muscle mass – my goal is to hopefully convince you to see the CLA benefits and include this CLA supplement into your daily routine.

4 Amazing CLA Supplement Benefits

What are the benefits of CLA (Conjugated Lineolic Acid)? I'm going to list some of them below.

1. Boosts Metabolism

By taking, at least, 1000mg of Conjugated Lineolic Acid every day, it's been proven through clinical studies that CLA helps to increase the body's metabolic rate. This means that you burn more calories throughout the day, which aids in fat loss.

2. Prevents Body Fat Storage

Consume a bit too many calories the other day? Did your “cheat day” get a little out of control? No worries. Another amazing CLA supplement benefit is preventing body fat storage.

That's why I always take CLA every day, no matter what, whether I'm trying to gain muscle or lose fat. If trying to gain lean muscle and “bulk up”, there is a risk of consuming too many calories and gaining too much fat.

By supplementing with 1000mg of Life Mastery Nutrition CLA every day, I ensure that I'm limiting my fat storage while gaining muscle.

3. Increase Lean Muscle Mass

Another little-known benefit of Conjugated Linoleic Acid is how it helps to increase lean muscle mass, in a combination of a healthy diet and good workout program.

CLA isn't commonly known as a “muscle building” supplement, but there have been more studies shown to support that the supplement can benefit with muscle gains, as well as muscle retention.

4. Optimizes Health & Well-Being

Supplementing with CLA every day provides so much more than just fitness or aesthetic benefits.

Other amazing CLA supplement benefits include a better immune system, increased cardiovascular health, bone health, blood health, cholesterol, proper insulin balance, helps with food allergies and even helps to reduce inflammation in the body!

As you can see, these 4 awesome benefits are why I've been taking CLA for years and will continue for as long as I live.

CLA Recommended Dosage

I often get asked, “How much of a CLA supplement should I take every day?”

I personally take and recommend at least 2 soft gels (1000mg) of Life Mastery Nutrition CLA every day. It's best to take at least one soft gel before your workout, and then another after your workout as part of your post-workout meal.

However, I've seen even better results by consuming at least 2000mg of CLA every day, as I've noticed more increased fat loss by doing that.

Of course, you ALWAYS want to consult with a doctor before taking anything new and finding out what is right for you.

And as always, for results you need to take CLA in combination with a good exercise program and healthy diet. No supplement is a “magic pill” that will suddenly make you lose fat with no effort. You still need to workout consistently and eat right. I believe that supplements can play a 10% role in your results, which is still fairly significant.

Also, it's always important to also be patient and take any supplement with consistency over a period of time to expect good results.

CLA by Life Mastery Nutrition

cla conjugated linoleic acid benefitsOver the years, I've tried many different CLA supplements amongst different brands. One of the frustrations I've often had with many of the big supplement brands is the lack of quality in their supplements.

It seems that most of the big brands on the market are more focused on putting their money into marketing and often compromise the quality of their product. Many of these brands are known to decrease the quality of their products over time, as they gain in popularity, simply to cut some of their costs and to profit more.

I wanted to develop my own product and ensure that what I was putting in my body was the highest quality Conjugated Linoleic Acid (derived from safflower oil) on the market. I spent months doing research and getting all of the necessary tests, to manufacture the best CLA supplement that contains the most potent safflower oil (CLA) that I could create.

That's how CLA by Life Mastery Nutrition was born.

I've been extremely pleased with the supplement and it's received many amazing customer reviews on Amazon, because it simply works! Just take a look at what others are saying on Amazon about Life Mastery Nutrition CLA.
