If you want to accelerate your success, do work that you love.

If you are stuck in a job that you hate right now, I know that this may sound like annoying advice. Sometimes we get stuck on a path that wasn't even ours in the first place. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't believe that they have control over their own destiny. As a result, they end up living someone else's dreams.

Tony Gaskins Jr. said it best – “If you don’t build your dream, someone will hire you to help build theirs.” You may not believe it yet, but you have 100% control over your happiness and success in life. When your attitude shifts and you start seeing yourself as the driver of your own life, the game changes.

The first step to living in alignment with your truth is making a decision that you are ready to embrace your true self. This requires that you stop caring so much about what others think you should do or who you should be. A lot of people invest way too much time and energy trying to be accepted by others. From personal experience, this gets you nowhere. It is only when you decide that you are ready to discover your unique purpose that you step into your power.

The first way to accelerate your success is to figure out your ‘why.'

Your ‘why' is your purpose. If you don't know why you are here it can be hard to keep going when life knocks you down. The question is… how do you find it? Well, I know that your purpose won't magically fall into your lap. You've got to make figuring out your life purpose BE your sole purpose. Your purpose won't find you if you don't take action. You've got to be intentional about the decisions that you make on a daily basis.

Take a step back and ask yourself, “What do I want and why do I want it?” Answering this question is what will allow you to get to where you want to go so much faster. When you do work that you love, the world is your playground.

Imagine as if you are driving down a highway. There is a fast lane and a slow lane. When do you drive in the slow lane? Well, it's usually when you are looking for an exit. This is when you know that you are living a life of mediocrity. In my experience, this only results in a life of pain and suffering.

A study that analyzed the behavior of 30,000 bosses and managers found that 11,000 of the worst-performing of these managers displayed mediocre performances. They had become passive which, in turn, blocked them from higher levels of performance at work. If you want to accelerate your success in life, you must dare to be different.

The second way to accelerate your success is to model the habits of successful people.

Not only that, but you need to surround yourself with these types of people. Who has the life that you want? Study this person's behaviors. Become obsessed with learning as much as you possibly can from him or her. If you want to be rich, you won't achieve this goal if you hang out with people that are broke. Similarly, if you want to be a happy person, but you surround yourself with negative energy, you will naturally fall into this state of being. It's fair to say that the people in your life influence who you become.

According to psychologists Elaine Hatfield and John Cacioppo, these effects are due to the concept of emotional contagion. As human beings, it is our natural tendency to mimic those around us. By nature, you will feel compelled to unconsciously copy whomever you are spending time with on a regular basis.

As Jim Rohn once said, “You are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with.” Look at your circle of friends. Are they lifting you up or holding you back? If it's the latter, it's time to find new friends. At the end of the day, it all comes down to how bad you want success.

If you do work that you love, I promise that success will follow.

Life is short. If you are not living in alignment with your purpose, today is the day to change that. The world is waiting for your gifts. Do work that makes you come alive inside. Doing so will allow you to discover things about yourself that you never knew existed. When you start seeing success as something you control and something you dictate, your entire outlook on life will change.

Are you ready to drive in the fast lane and create success, on your terms?

Anyone who follows me knows what a huge mentor Tony Robbin's has been in my life. His teachings have inspired me to transform every area of my life.

I have had many life-changing experiences at Tony's seminars and events, which have helped shape my destiny.

This is why I wanted to invite AJ Delorena, the founder of Talented Technologies to share his story of how Tony Robbins' Platinum Partnership transformed his life forever.

What Is the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership?

With the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership, you get access to a complete, transformational process that you can immediately apply for results. It includes:

  • How to tap into your inner strength
  • How to overcome obstacles
  • How to break through in areas of your life where you are “stuck”
  • Exercises for one year that assist with your personal development
  • Personal trips with Tony Robbins and a group of people for life support

This particular process is a transformational approach to any of your life goals. Individuals have had breakthroughs with relationships, business, finances, and their lifestyle.

Take it away AJ!

I want to share with you how Tony Robbins' “Platinum Partnership” transformed my life. A little over five years ago I set off on what would be a life-changing and possibly life-saving journey.  The journey started when my wife signed us up to go to a Tony Robbins, “Unleash the Power Within” seminar as a belated birthday present.

After the seminar, we eventually enrolled in Tony Robbins’ Mastery University and Platinum Partnership group. I had just turned 50 years old. I was about 25 pounds overweight, which I equated to being a natural part of getting older. My blood pressure reading was 183/98 and I was suffering from what I didn’t realize was extreme adrenal fatigue.

I constantly felt exhausted and I was only getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night. My business was slowly crumbling, even though I was consistently working 12-14 hour days, seven days per week. My competitors were rising while I was struggling to effectively operate my business.

On top of everything, my marriage was falling apart due to my complete lack of focus. Things were going downhill fast. Little did I know, it was all about to turn around thanks to my personal development master and his program, Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership.

Initially, walking through the doors of my first UPW experience felt a bit over the top. The loud blaring music and people jumping up and down made it feel more like a rock concert than a personal development seminar. Yet, as the hours went on, I felt more motivated and invigorated than I had in many years The message began to resonate from Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership.

He was helping people tap into their inner strength to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. His message helped me realize that my priorities and values had become completely distorted. Even worse, I realized my adopted beliefs were ruining my health, business, and relationships.

By the third day, my wife and I were given the opportunity to meet Tony Robbins on stage to enroll in Mastery University. Neither of us hesitated. Our first Mastery University event, Date With Destiny, totally blew our minds. We witnessed countless interventions where Tony was able to almost instantaneously help participants reach breakthroughs.

Every intervention seemed as if it was directed towards me, and I experienced breakthrough after breakthrough. We completed the Mastery University with Business Mastery, Life and Wealth Mastery, and finally, Leadership Academy within only six months. Our new knowledge had progressed our lives at a surprisingly rapid pace.

My blood pressure dropped to 156/94, I made more business connections, created new sources of income, and re-connected with my wife. All of our success occurred in a short period of time and we were not ready for it to end.

The next logical step was to enroll in Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership. We had heard of the opportunity before but, frankly, it seemed way too expensive, time-consuming, and out of our league. We began talking to as many Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership members as we could in order to better understand their experiences. Their feedback and insights were astounding.

People told us stories of healed illnesses, saved marriages, and business growth of up to 1,000 percent. Others described their personal experiences with Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership, from one-on-one interactions to travels around the world. Their heartfelt stories were enough to convince us that signing up would be one of the most rewarding investments we would ever make for ourselves and our future.

This was a big decision.

It meant that I would be spending a lot of time away from my business and a lot of money on the group membership. In the end, we decided that the benefits far outweighed the costs, and we signed up for what became the most rewarding experience of our lives.

We kicked off our Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership year with a trip to Whistler, Canada. We spent the mornings skiing or snowboarding on breathtaking hills with Tony and our fellow Platinum partners. The mountains we climbed were like a metaphor for what we could conquer in our new lives. We spent our afternoons listening to Tony and other world-renowned experts from the business and financial world.

Our second trip was to Tony’s very own resort, Namale, on the island of Fiji. We used our time there to create new and improved business plans with the assistance of fellow Platinum members. Of course, Tony was there to provide individualized insights into each of our business plans.

Our year ended with our favorite trip, which was located on the beautiful island of Kauai. This event was all about creating and sustaining relationships with our significant others.

We began our days with separate classes for men and women, in order to increase the polarity and attraction in our relationships. We spent the rest of our time listening to experts in the fields of intimacy, sexuality, and relationships.

Every day we did exercises to build more presence and a greater understanding of one another. We felt the love we had for each other intensify, and still feel its continuous growth to this day. This is how Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership transformed my life.

It has now been nearly five years since my wife and I traveled the world and began to utilize Anthony Robbins as our life teacher with the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership. We are happy to say that we still feel the positive momentum and effects created by these events. I was able to turn my business around and reach higher profit margins with less time in the office.

I average 6-8 hours of sleep per night. It’s not unusual for me to leave my office early or in the middle of the day to take a yoga class or enjoy another activity. My blood pressure is now consistently healthy, around 119/78, and I have more energy in my fifties than I did in my twenties.

My wife and I are closer than ever, and we have even taken up new activities together, such as learning how to play the piano.

While the price tag was high, but I’m not sure I could put a price tag on my health, happiness, marriage, or business successes. I am so grateful for the time I spent with Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership and would recommend it to anyone looking to live up to their fullest potential while setting off on the adventure of a lifetime.

I hope AJ's story inspires you to invest in one of Tony Robbins' events. His teachings have changed mine, AJ's and his wife's life for the better, and I am confident they will do the same for you.

Notes from Stefan About Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership

I strongly believe in self-development and transformation. I know from my own experience that programs such as the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership alters everything. And when you do that, it helps you to maximize your potential in every area of your life.

With the insights I’ve seen from others about this program, I know that it is a significant way to crush it in every area of your life.

Any program that you see from Tony Robbins does the same thing – it transforms you. It helps you get into the deepest, darkest parts of your subconscious and begins changing it.

How?

You have patterns, beliefs, and thoughts that cause you to change how you live and what you decide to do. This is what stops you from reaching the ultimate success that you want to.

With programs like the Tony Robbins Platinum Program, everything changes. You now have access to get to the places that you struggle with, look them in the eye and alter what happens.

What You Really Need

There is only one thing that everyone needs in their lives. It is to take the journey of living to our full potential.

We may or may not have finances, the relationship we want or the lifestyle that we dream of. It always leads to one thing – what do you need to change in your life?

This is exactly what the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership makes everyone look at. It is similar to his programs and books like Unleash the Power Within and Date with Destiny.

You find, for the first time in your life, that you have more potential to reach your goals and to get to your core power. When you do this, it is possible for you to build the life you want.

I know that if I didn’t go through the self-development processes like the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership, then I wouldn’t be where I am today. By working on things like this, I have been able to find greater success and mastery in every area of my life.

If you are struggling with relationships, work on it. Too often, we run away from the things that don’t work and stay in that area. Instead, look at what patterns and beliefs you have and change it.

If you are struggling with business and finances, work on it. Something like the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership can help you to get through monetary blocks and to open up to your complete potential. Look at that and find a way to succeed.

If you aren’t happy with your life, work on it. Change your approach, your lifestyle and what you do. Take small steps every day and find the life hacks that will work to give you the results that you really want.

The Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership is a way to reach success. Why? Because you have a chance to work on everything you want or need in life. You have the chance to break through and to get the results that you want. And, you have the chance to be a part of an exclusive group that is doing the same thing.

That’s a powerful formula, brought by one of the most influential people of our time, to help you live the life you really want.

Is This the Formula You Need?

There are many that are uncertain of which program to join with Tony Robbins. Some are geared toward your specific needs at the time, while others may not help you to reach your full potential until it’s the right time.

The Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership is for those that are dedicated to their transformation at a specific level and are interested in a longer program to get the breakthroughs they need.

I’ve personally gone through other approaches with Tony Robbins that have had similar results and have assisted with the immediate transformation that I need.

Here are some of the programs you can see that I’ve reviewed:

Of course, Tony Robbins is known for his hundreds of programs and assistance with others who want to reach their full potential. These are only a few of the powerful programs that you can look at for the formula you really need.

Here’s a way to find if the Tony Robbins Platinum Program, or another program, will work best for you.

  • How familiar are you with Tony Robbins’ work?
  • Have you done any transformational work in the past?
  • Do you want a program that is longer and follows this format?
  • What are your goals?
  • What areas are you “stuck” at and want to break through with?
  • What is your intention for joining the Tony Robbins Platinum Program?

If you are new to Tony Robbins or haven’t worked with self-development, then I would suggest a different route. Work up to the Platinum Partnership at a later date and make sure that it is the right mentorship program for you.

Also, look at your goals and breaking points. See what programs may be of greater assistance to you as well as what the Platinum Partnership may offer that others don’t. You may find that there are other programs that are just as effective.

The most important part of the Tony Robbins Platinum Partnership, or any other program, is the commitment you have to yourself. When you become conscious about your own self-development and your approach to life, then you will find greater results that help you to get the solutions you want from life.

Commit to Mastery and to your growth. The programs you need are waiting for you to build the life you want.

Do you give up once thing get hard? If so, I am here to tell you that your lack of patience, distractions & “Shiny Object Syndrome” are killing your results. We have all been guilty of this from time to time.

In business terms, the Shiny Object Syndrome is when a new idea captures your attention in such a way that you get distracted and go off in many directions, instead of remaining focused on your goal. The result is that you end up achieving nothing.

Many people think that if they jump from thing to thing, they will find a better opportunity, but this is far from true. When you commit 100% of your efforts to one thing, you will not only make greater leaps, but you will also achieve more.

Are you ready to stop dabbling and start mastering your online business?

If you want to be successful in life you need to focus on one thing and give it everything that you have, despite that fact that there may be easier, more profitable routes to your desired destination.

This is a very important habit to develop early on in your online business, because as you become more successful, there will be more opportunities that arise that can throw you off course, if you let them.

Yes, these opportunities may benefit your life, but there is no possible way that you can take on all of them at once. Ultimately, they will only serve as distractions to your overall purpose in life.

Dabblers love the rituals involved in starting something new and exciting, however, when they hit a plateau, they jump ship. Their enthusiasm wanes easily, and soon enough, their focus is diverted to something else.

Alternatively, masters commit to everything. They understand the newness of something, but when they hit a plateau, they don’t stop. They view challenges as opportunities to grow and expand.

Are you a dabbler or a master?

What has worked well for me with regards to staying on track with my goals is knowing what my vision is for my life and my business. I refuse to compromise my vision for a shiny object.

You have to step back and ask yourself, “Is this opportunity a distraction, or will it add value to my business?” Sometimes it can be useful to be adaptive, if it serves a purpose.

What matters most is that you master whatever it is that most supports the overall vision for your life. Make sure that you finish the race before you start a new one. If you don't, the “Shiny Object Syndrome” will kill your results.

Discipline your time, energy and focus to the tasks that will bring you one step closer to the achievement of your goals. A mentor of mine once said, “How you do anything is how you do everything.” Build the habit of finishing things that you start, and achieving the goals that you set for yourself.

Avoid the “Shiny Object Syndrome”, and commit your life to mastery. Your business will thank you for it.

Comfort is the enemy. When you really think about, there is nothing comfortable about a comfort zone. Eventually you become stagnant, lazy, and bored.  We are creatures of habit, and familiarity is what breeds comfort, but unfortunately, nothing grows in a comfort zone.

If you aren’t where you want to be in your life, it is most likely because you are stuck in your comfort zone. One of the biggest things that holds people back is fear, but fear is an illusion that is created by your mind. When is the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone and took on a new challenge? The reality is that if you aren’t growing, you're dying.

In order to achieve success in life, you have to be willing to take risks. When you do so, you discover who you truly are, which opens up the doors for growth, possibility, and change. The most successful people in the world made the choice to take the road less traveled; they learned how to get comfortable being uncomfortable by constantly pushing and testing the limits.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Are you ready to take the leap and tap into the unlimited potential that resides within you?

Some people believe that on the other side of a goal is a life of comfort. They think that the struggle that they have to go through today is just a temporary process, and on the other side of the fence, life becomes easy and effortless. This is far from true.

They sell this illusion to themselves because it creates a sense of sanity. The challenge with this belief system is that once these people achieve their goal, they may take their foot off the gas, because they think, “I made it.” The reality is that the moment you get comfortable is the moment when you know you have to change something in your life.

There have been times in my life when I achieved such a high level of success, which made me feel that I had ‘made it’ and could now do whatever I wanted. It was at this point that I stopped working hard. Soon thereafter, I found myself in a place of boredom and depression. I had no sense of purpose. I slowly regressed back to old habits and I stopped feeling that sense of mission and excitement.

I believe that, as human beings, we become who we are through challenges and adversities. We have to learn to embrace the unknown. That is when we learn who we truly are and what we are made of. Comfort is the enemy. The only way that you grow is by stepping outside of your comfort zone. When you stop growing, you are no longer happy and fulfilled.

One of the best decisions that I made in my life is accepting that, in order to feel alive and be happy, I have to do things that make me feel uncomfortable. This shift in my mindset took my life to a whole other level. The most successful people in the world work the hardest. They don’t need to do it, but they do because they understand that growth is a part of life.

Someone who is dedicated to living a life of mastery ascribes to this way of thinking. It all comes down to your mindset.  It’s OK to be comfortable and experience pleasure. I encourage you to celebrate your accomplishments, but don’t let it hinder you from growing and evolving in your life.

Comfort is the enemy. I challenge you to open your mind to this new way of thinking. Although it might feel warm and cozy in your comfort zone, there is no room for excitement or adventure.  Adversity, problems and difficult times are a reality of life. Embrace them, and acknowledge that they are there to teach you something about yourself and the world. Instead of looking at discomfort in a negative way, why not embrace it as a gift in order to grow and maximize your potential?

Lou Macabasco said it best – “We cannot become what we want to be by remaining what we are. We can only change our life, if we are brave enough to be out of our comfort zone, because the first step to change in your circumstances, is a change from within you.”

Video transcript

Comfort is the enemy. Now, oftentimes when I make a statement like that, it elicits a mixed response in people. For some people, it might make them feel uncomfortable. For others, they're thinking, “Well, why am I doing this all for them?  Why am I going through this discomfort right now to achieve my goals and dreams? I thought I was doing that so that one day I could finally be comfortable?”  You might disagree or agree with that statement, but regardless, I want you to have an open mind because taking on this belief system can change your entire life.

In fact, it's made a huge difference in my life. When I really acknowledged this and accepted it in my life, it allowed me to go to a whole new level. Thinking that comfort is the enemy is a very counterintuitive thing, because for most people, they want to live a comfortable life. You want to live a life where you can start a business, and maybe you acknowledge and accept the fact that it's going to be uncomfortable at first because everything is brand new. You understand that you need to go through that process and that journey, and that there are ups and downs, and failures along the way.

However, you are doing it with the aspiration that one day, you are going to build your business, create passive income, have someone run your business for you, and make a certain amount of money.  One day, you are going to be comfortable and live a life where you just get to do nothing.  If you are currently pursuing a fitness or a health goal, you might think, “My God, right now it's really uncomfortable because I have to go to the gym, and I have to push myself.  I have to lift weights that I'm not comfortable lifting.  It hurts, it's painful, and I've got to recover. I've got to push myself beyond my comfort zone. I'm doing that so that one day I'm going to have that fit, athletic body that I desire. I'm going to have the vibrancy and the vitality, and I'm going to be comfortable.”

Or you might think, “It might be uncomfortable right now to pursue a relationship, but I've got to face my fears and be vulnerable. I've got to go through this whole uncomfortable process so that one day I can attract that man or woman of my dreams, and I can finally be comfortable.”  This is an illusion that people have about life.  They think that, on the other side of their goal, is this life of comfort. They think that the struggle that they're going to have to go through right now is just a temporary struggle, and then on the other side, life is easy and effortless. Like I said, it's the biggest illusion that's being sold to you. Oftentimes, people buy into this.  They sell that to themselves because it creates a sense of sanity of why they are doing what they are doing. They think that on the other side there's going to be this magnificent comfort and pleasure that they are going to experience.

The challenge with that belief system, is that once you achieve your goal and make it to the other side – you create that lifestyle, you make that money, you create that passive income, you acquire that relationship or that body – there's going to be a moment when you are going to take your foot off the gas because you're going to think that you made it. You're going to think, “You know what? I went through the grind, I went through the hustle, I achieved this life, and now I can finally be comfortable.  I can get a TV, and I can sit around and just finally do what I want to do. I can now enjoy the foods that I want to enjoy. I can go to the expensive restaurants. I can sit on the beach all day, or I no longer have to go through that. I could just play video games and live a very comfortable life.”

When you believe that, you take that on, and that's the beginning of the end right there. In fact, I remember Robert Herjavec from Shark Tank said that, “Comfort is the beginning of the end.” The moment you get comfortable, change something. Change something so that you are uncomfortable because the moment you get to that point when you stop growing and evolving, you stop pushing yourself. What happens when you stop growing and evolving is that you don't feel alive or happy. You miss out on that sense of fulfillment.  I'm sharing this from my experience as well, and people that I've coached and worked with, that have been through the exact same process. There's times in my life where I achieved a high level of success or I achieved a certain goal, and I thought, “You know what? I've made it now and I just want to be comfortable.”

It's only so long before you start going back to your old self, where your progress, your results, the life that you've created, the person that you've become, and the process starts to diminish slowly, but surely. Then you find yourself in a place of boredom, a place of lacking that fulfillment and happiness.  As human beings, we require challenge and adversity. Instead of looking at discomfort in a negative way, why not embrace it? Embrace it as a gift that allows you to grow and maximize your potential.

I remember when I was on the journey of really trying to make it happen and achieve success.  I was doing things, like intense morning rituals. I was going to all these different seminars.  I was learning, growing, and hiring coaches and mentors. I didn't even have a TV.  I thought TV was just the biggest waste of time. It was holding me back from my goals. I would sleep less. I had accountability buddies. I was setting visions and goals and taking massive action towards my goals so that one day I could achieve all of them and be comfortable.

However, once I achieved a high level of success and I became financially free, then I thought to myself, “You know what? I no longer need to do those things that I did before.  Now is the time I can buy a TV and I can get 500 channels, and I could now do whatever I want to do.  I don't have to do rituals. I don't have to do all these sort of things.” I thought I had made it.

I found myself in a place where I was actually depressed for a period of my life. I was like, “You know what? I'm just bored. I've got this beautiful penthouse. I've got this nice car. I've got this amazing relationship. I've got this great body. I achieved all these things that I thought that I wanted to achieve and I can just finally be comfortable.” But the challenge was that I slowly regressed back to where I was before. I stopped feeling that sense of aliveness and that sense of purpose, mission, and excitement, and the challenge that I had to go through in overcoming those challenges, and really growing and evolving myself.

I think that comfort is a trap.  Comfort is the enemy, and that in our lives we always need to be growing and evolving. The only way that you grow is by stepping outside your comfort zone. We all have this realm of comfort. The more you grow, the bigger this realm of comfort becomes for you. Right now, your comfort zone might be relatively small, but the more that you push it, guess what? It becomes bigger. Things that once were uncomfortable for you now become comfortable because your realm of comfort has expanded.

The challenge is that when you stop pushing that comfort zone, and you stop facing that discomfort, you stop growing, and you are no longer happy and fulfilled.  We have to embrace discomfort and struggle. We have to embrace the uncertainty and the unknown.  The most successful people in the world all work their butts off. They are all growing, evolving, and doing incredible things. They don't need to do because they already have all the money in the world, but they are still doing it because they understand that growth is a part of life, that if you are not growing, than you're dying. Perhaps this belief system might be counterintuitive for you.  You might not even be open to it, based on where you are at right now in your life, but I want you to open yourself up to it a little bit and understand that discomfort is here to stay, and that you can't be living your life for comfort.

One of the best decisions that I made in my life a long time ago is understanding that, in order to be alive and happy in my life, I'm going to have to do things that I don't want to do. I'm going to have to do things when I don't feel like doing it, when I'm tired, when emotionally I might be off, or going through a hard time, or whatever it might be. It's in those moments in life where you just want to be comfortable and sit in front of the TV, or watch Netflix, or play video games, or eat that junk food, that might make you feel good temporarily.

I understood that successful people still do things when they don't feel like it. They still push themselves past those uncomfortable feelings and emotions. When you do, on the other side is a sense of aliveness and freedom unlike anything else, where you just feel incredible. I'm sure you know that feeling when you didn't want to do something, like going to the gym, but you pushed yourself anyways. You always feel great about yourself afterwards because you did something that was right. It was making progress in your life towards who you want to be.

It's a different mindset. It's a different belief system that I hope that you will take on.  You need to understand that it's not all about being comfortable. Maybe it's okay to be comfortable for a little while. I'm not saying that you shouldn't celebrate. I'm not saying that you shouldn't experience any pleasure in your life. Don't get mixed up with that. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have that. I think that it's a great thing to reward yourself.  I'm not saying that you can't watch TV or play the video games once in a while.

Once in a while is okay, as long as as it's not the every day norm.  As long as it doesn't hold you back from growing and evolving in your life to being who you want to be and experiencing your potential. Keep that in mind. You always have to be growing. You are always going to be facing discomfort and challenges in your life. Embrace the struggles. Take them on. Acknowledge them. Accept them.  Understand that they are gifts that you've been given that can allow you to really grow.

In fact, I remember seeing a study that found that, when people get tired and retire around 65 years of age, they end up dying because they no longer have a purpose. They no longer have obstacles and something that they are moving towards. They just get bored.  They have nothing that's challenging them and allowing them to grow. It's not about comfort; it's about growth and understanding that discomfort is part of that process.  Take it on, embrace it, and acknowledge it. I want to thank you for watching this video. Do you want to know the secret to success?  Stop blaming! Take responsibility for your life.

The word responsibility is comprised of the words response and ability, meaning “the ability to respond.” If you want to master your life, you need to realize that you are in the driver’s seat.

When you take responsibility for your life, you are telling the world that you aren’t a victim. We all have excuses and reasons for blaming external sources for our problems.

In the words of Einstein, “Man must cease attributing his problems to his environment, and learn again to exercise his will – his personal responsibility.”

Making excuses instead of taking responsibility for one's actions is the hallmark of people who fail to succeed in their personal and professional lives. Sometimes our B.S. is so good and believable that not only do we start to believe its validity, but other people buy into it as well. You need to understand that where you are right now in your life is a direct result of all the little decisions that you’ve made along the way.

Every time that you blame or B.S. yourself, you are giving away your power. When you do so, you don’t have any ability to change your current circumstance in life. This inferior mindset results in a life of pain and suffering.  You are 100% responsible for your life. Take ownership.

If you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see, make a change. It’s that simple. You need to get honest with yourself. How are you not showing up for your life? As Tony Robbins states, “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.”

Getting honest isn’t easy. Sure, it doesn’t always feel good to take responsibility for unfortunate events that happen in your life. Holding onto resentment or blame satisfies the negative voice inside of your head that says, “Why me?” or “Life isn’t fair.” You may not always have control over events that happen to you, but you can always determine how you will react to them.

Learn how to master your emotions so that they don’t end up mastering you. People who take responsibility for their lives find the good in failure; they view an unfortunate event as an opportunity to grow. They are proactive, not reactive.

It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom and admitted to myself that I was blaming the world for my problems that everything changed in my life. I’ve studied so many great leaders in the personal development realm, like Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, and Brian Tracy.

They have taught me that the first step to success in life is knowing that everything you are or ever will be is entirely up to you. Make intelligent decisions that move you closer to what it is that you want because it is the choices that you make every day that determine your destiny.

You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose to take action and adopt a positive attitude.  You need to condition your mind for success. Stop blaming! Take responsibility for your life and change your story.  Therein lies the ultimate freedom. Steve Maraboli said it best, “Your life begins to change the day you take responsibility for it.”

Goals give you a sense of purpose in life. Do your goals excite you?

If your goals don’t excite you, it’s unlikely that you won't follow through and make them a reality. In the words of Joe Vitale, “A goal should scare you a little, and excite you A LOT.”

When you set big goals that are outside of your comfort zone, it raises the bar and motivates you to work hard to achieve them. Unfortunately we live in a world that has programmed us to expect instant gratification.

People who ascribe to this style way of thinking are known as dabblers; they only focus on the short-term, and want immediate results without putting in the hard work.

In short, they are not invested or committed to their goals. This is a recipe for disaster. If you want to achieve anything of value in your life you need to focus on the long-term. Long-term goals give you a sense of direction and purpose in life. In the words of Yogi Berra, “If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.”

In a psychological study conducted by Alberta School of Business, researchers made the discovery that once we set a long-term goal, our subconscious mind will never “erase” it (Nikitina, 2012). In essence, we become programmed for success, however it's up to us to do the hard work and achieve our goals.

Compelling goals excite you so that when you visualize them, they provide you with fuel for the fire. You need to have a strong ‘why’. What are the reasons why you want to achieve your goals? Do your goals excite you? I get excited about any opportunity that allows me to grow and give.

Research shows that “80 percent of success is due to psychology—mindset, beliefs, and emotions—and only 20 percent is due to strategy—the specific steps needed to accomplish a result.” Yes, strategy will lead to the accomplishment of your goals.

However, in order to be successful in life and in business, you need to possess a mastery mindset, which will allow you to constantly learn, adapt, take risks, and believe in yourself and your vision. Push motivation is a behaviour that an individual forces themselves to complete in order to satisfy a need or achieve a goal (Spacey, 2016).

Alternatively, pull motivation is a behaviour that an individual feels drawn towards. When you push yourself to do something you expend a lot of willpower and energy. You can only do this for so long. Eventually you get burnt-out.

You need pull motivation; something that excites you so much that you feel drawn towards it, so that it almost becomes effortless. There will always be setbacks and challenges in life. That is a guarantee. How you deal with failure determines your level of success in life. I know that failure is part of the process of my personal growth and development. I use it as fuel to propel me forward towards my goals.

Do your goals excite you? Set goals that make you want to get out of bed every morning and take massive action. Robin Sharma said it best – “Clarity precedes mastery. Craft clear and precise goals and then block out everything else.”  Be consistent, work hard, and create the life you have always dreamed of.

The best approach to address haters and people in your life that don’t support your decisions is to learn how to not give a f*ck.

When you are able to adopt this mindset, you find freedom.

The moment that you choose to stop caring what other people think about you, is the moment that you are on the path to success in your life. So many people worry too much about whether or not people like or accept them.

Stop trying to get people to like you.  You have to live your life for YOU. If you are focused on making everyone else happy, but you aren’t happy, than what is the point of it all?

Watch the video below:

Make sure that you make decisions that are best for you. If other people don’t like them, that’s OK. Just remember – the trick is knowing how to not give a f*ck. When you are able to break through the limiting beliefs that hold you back from stepping into your power, freedom is yours for the taking.

When you live from a place of authenticity, you are in alignment with your true self. Being connected to your true self is essential to living a fulfilled and happy life. In the words of Brene Brown, “Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.”

You need to cultivate the mindset of a champion; someone that is already successful. It all starts in your mind. We all possess a mental blueprint, otherwise known as our story or our belief about how life should be.

Your current blueprint has gotten you exactly where you are today. If your life doesn’t match your blueprint, you won’t feel fulfilled. If you want to move from a place of fear into freedom, the first step is to understand what your current blueprint is so that you can learn what you can do in order to change it.

If you aren’t happy with the results in your life, its time to change your mindset. Ask yourself, “What feels right for me?” Focus on that. Live your vision and your purpose. When you start becoming successful, you can expect more haters to emerge into your life. I challenge you to embrace the hatred from others, because that just means that you are on the right track.

Haters hate on you because you are doing what they cannot, or are too afraid to do. Dr. Steve Maraboli said it best, “Don’t worry about the haters…they are just angry because the truth you speak contradicts the lie they live.”

In other words, learn how to not give a f*ck.

The most successful people in history all have millions of people that dislike them. Back in 2012 when I first started posting videos and blogs, not a lot of people judged me because I was always conscious about surrounding myself with the right people. I believe that who you spend time with is who you become.  It’s important to surround yourself with positive and supportive people.

If you surround yourself with negative people, they will pull you down and disempower you to take action in your life. You want your support network to be in your corner. If they aren't, it’s time to find new friends. Believe in your heart that what you are doing is right. Nurture the internal compass that is guiding you along your path to success.

When you learn how to not give a f*ck about the haters that surround you, success is yours for the taking. Use their words as fuel in order to take your life to the next level. Just be YOU. Focus on being the best that you can be.

In the words of John Assaraf, “Look in the mirror. That is your only competition.”  When you get to the point where the scariest and most fierce competitor is yourself, you know you’re on your own path to greatness (Rezendes, 2016).

Stay true to yourself and I promise you that the rest will fall into place.

Once you adopt the mastery mentality, everything in your life changes for the better.  I am so passionate about mastery. So much so, that I built my business and my brand around the concept.

Your mind is a powerful tool. I believe that it is the foundation for everything that happens in your life.  However, it is up to you how you choose to use it. It can either enhance or destroy your life.  I would like to share with you the three levels that comprise the mastery mentality.

Knowing

The first level is knowing. The three most dangerous words in the human language are ‘I know that.’  This mentality is what prevents people from advancing in life.  We have been conditioned in society to believe that success depends on how much a person knows.  However, if you look at some of the most successful people in the world, they aren’t academics or professors.

Rather, they are people who dropped out of school to take a risk, pursue a dream, and forge their own path to success.  How is it that college dropouts like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg have become master achievers?  It’s because they continuously learn new things, they are committed to what they do, and they step out of their comfort zone and take massive action on a daily basis.

It begs the question, “If you want to be an entrepreneur, should you go to college to be successful?” A lot of people have a world of knowledge, but they don’t know how to apply it in the real world.  You can know what to do, but not do what you know.  Knowing is power, but it is not enough. Without action, knowledge is useless.

Doing

The second level is doing. This involves applying what you have learned.  Attending seminars and events is great, but if you never integrate the knowledge and take action, then you won’t be successful.

At the click of a mouse there is a world of information available for consumption.  Unfortunately, this so-called ‘luxury' has caused people to live habitually in a state of ‘information overload’.  In the words of Mitchell Kapor, “Getting information off the Internet is like taking a drink from a fire hydrant.”

People who are addicted to information end up dabbling on a lot of different projects, but never stick with one thing because they have a difficult time focusing.  In the words of Bruce Lee, “Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.”

Living

The third level of mastery is living. Living is when you are not only applying what you know, but you are doing something consistently, AND receiving results from it.

In the words of Marie Forleo, “Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, it comes from what you do consistently.”  How do you develop the mastery mentality? Repeat it. Repetition is the mother of mastery.

In order to obtain mastery of a particular skill, it is said that you need to spend around 10,000 hours practicing it.  If you want something bad enough, practice and live it, every day of your life.  Don’t get caught up in knowing and doing.

Mastery is the only path to success.  Adopt the mastery mentality and watch your life change for the better.

I want to share with you how to build a business you’re passionate about.

You hear a lot of self-help gurus say that, “If you do what you love and you follow your passion, you will never work a day in your life.”

When I first started building my online business, I didn’t buy into this clichéd way of thinking. Instead of following my passion, I focused on opportunities that made me money.

What I learned from that experience is that, while I made money, I wasn’t fulfilled or motivated. My work felt like a chore.

At one point, I was making $5000/month of passive income and living the 4-Hour Workweek.

I did this for a few months, but I soon became bored and unfulfilled. I quickly learned that money couldn’t buy happiness.  Some of you may be able to relate to this feeling. If you have a job that you aren’t passionate about, it can take a lot of effort and motivation to go to work.

Being forced to do work that you don't like can be draining.  When this happens, you can't perform at an optimal level. If your only motivation is making money, then you won't have the drive and determination that it takes in order to hustle and build a sustainable business.

Once I found a niche that I was really passionate about, I made the decision to build an online business around it, which changed my life forever. After a few months of blogging and creating content, I was able to attract an audience of people that really enjoyed my work, and THEN the money came.

From there, I started coaching, designing training programs, launching products, publishing eBooks, etc. I found that the more value that I provided, the more money that I made. Colin Wright said it best – Chase your passion and money will come. Chase money and you may never find your passion.”

Living and sharing my passion is what has grown my company to where it is today. I’ve worked harder than I ever have before, but it’s from a place of passion, not necessity. If I wanted to, I could live comfortably off of my passive income and never work again, but my passion is what keeps me motivated to continue creating and serving people.

If you don’t yet know what your passion is, create something around an interest that you have. If you still aren’t sure what interests you, try a new activity.  Exploring new interests can lead to things that you never thought were possible.

I view my business as a hobby that I get paid for.  I don't do it because I have to do it, I do it because I WANT to do it. The best advice that I can give you is to learn how to build a business you're passionate about. What do you do every day? Make a list of the activities that bring you the most joy in life.

Keep in mind that whatever business you start, it doesn’t mean that you have to stick with it forever.

Passions evolve over time.  Getting started is the most important thing. If a business doesn’t end up serving you anymore, that's OK.  Take the skills that you learned from that business into your next business endeavour. The most important thing is that you invest in yourself.

The success that I’ve achieved today is the result of the investments that I’ve made in myself over the years. Most of us spend a large majority of our lives working, so why not learn how to build a business you're passionate about?

In the words of Fabienne Fredrickson, “The things you are passionate about are not random, they are your calling.”

When you follow your passion, success follows you.
