Are you ready to learn how to transform your entire life? Why wait until tomorrow? Take action NOW!

It's easy to sweep change under the rug and say, “It's too late to transform my life.” Wrong. You can create a brand new chapter in your life story at any moment. What do you want to re-write?

I don't believe that any of us were put on this earth to merely exist. Rather, we were meant to thrive, to fulfill our purpose, and to become more. Transformation doesn't happen by accident or pure luck. It requires that you do the work. You are responsible for the changes that you make in your life. It all starts with shifting the way that you think.

Yes, transforming your life can be scary and challenging, but it can also be exciting and massively rewarding. It's a process that starts and ends with you. In the words of Dr. Judith Wright, “When you transform, you do something that you could never have imagined yourself doing, become something you could never have imagined yourself becoming, and, ultimately, live a life greater than you could have ever imagined yourself living.”

Are you ready to transform your entire life? I’m here to show you 7 actionable steps that you can take in order to make that dream a reality.

Are you ready to learn how to transform your entire life?

YOU have the power to transform your entire life around at any given moment. Change is a choice, but a lot of people don't want to do the hard work to get there. They hit a plateau, shift into dabbler mode and never accomplish their goals in life. They get overwhelmed by the magnitude of it all and forget that change begins with a single step. If you want to transform your life, you need to become the master of your own destiny.

If you are reading this, I'm assuming that you have a desire to learn how to transform your life. Close your eyes and imagine what your life would look like if you had everything that you've ever dreamed of. Tap into your emotional state. What does the environment look like? How do you feel? What do you smell? What do you hear? Visualize what transformation feels like and activate all of your senses.

How to transform your life starts with making the commitment to change your beliefs and your behaviors. Changing your life isn't easy, or everyone would do it. It requires patience, discipline, motivation, confidence and an unwavering belief in your ability to create a better life for yourself; one that allows you to be in alignment with your purpose and your higher self.

Change of any kind starts from within. Let's explore 7 steps that you can take to learn how to transform your entire life.

Step 1 – Change Your Belief Or Mindset

Our beliefs dictate how we operate in this world. Changing your beliefs or your mindset can change your entire life. In the words of Wayne Dyer, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

When I was younger I had a fixed mindset. I thought that I was born a certain way and that I was stuck with who I was. When I discovered the world of self-development, I realized that I had been telling myself a lie. I could grow and improve myself, and become whoever I wanted to be. I knew how to transform my life from mediocre to magnificent, and that's exactly what I did. But, in order to make this shift, I had to change my mindset.

One of the most effective ways to change your beliefs and your mindset is by adopting healthy habits that conditioned your mind for success. This is supported by research that shows that the best way to bring change into your life is by creating new routines and sticking to them until they become habits.

I believe that you always have to be in a state of positive anticipation because, at any moment, something new might trigger you and change the way you look at things. Have you ever read the same book a few times, and when you read it the 3rd time, you get an “aha” moment that creates a paradigm shift in your mentality?

Step 2 – Make A Decision And Commit

Once you've changed your mindset, now you need to make a decision to learn how to transform your life. Have you ever made a commitment that didn’t stick?

The fact of the matter is that, when you commit to something, everything changes. Learning how to commit isn't just about making a commitment. Rather, it's about keeping those commitments on a consistent basis, no matter what. One of the main reasons why people don’t succeed in achieving their goals is because they lack discipline. These people are known as dabblers. They love the initial excitement that comes with starting something new. However, once things get difficult, they bail, because they are not fully committed to transforming their lives.

Make a decision that you will no longer sit on the sidelines of life. That you will rise up and transform yourself into the person that you desire to be. Masters do whatever it takes to transform their lives. When they commit to something, they are in it 100%. They have dedicated their lives to mastery, and as a result, they remain hyperfocused and always achieve their dreams.

Life mastery requires persistence, commitment, passion, and hard work. Are you a master or a dabbler? Choose wisely and commit to taking your life to the next level. Life is too short not to. When you make the right decisions at the right times, your entire life can transform before your eyes.

Step 3 – Take Action

You can change your beliefs, but it won't mean anything unless you back it up with action. You could decide that you are going to change your life, but never doing anything about it. Oftentimes people get stuck in analysis paralysis. They get overwhelmed with so much knowledge that they never end up making a decision or taking action.

You can read all the videos and books that you want, but it's not until you decide to take action that change happens.

What does it mean to take action?

It means that you need to take steps-large and small- to begin changing certain parts of your life. Commit to doing one thing that you know will start to move you in the direction you want.

Learn how to meet smaller goals that allow you to work through obstacles and to begin feeling better about what you are doing.

Look at the bigger picture in your life, specifically so you can learn how to transform yourself and identify what you want in one year, five years and ten years.

Don't allow yourself to give up. If you don't achieve something with action, try again. Keep looking at what you need to do today to get exactly what you want.

If you want to make progress in life, you need to stop learning and start implementing what you've learned. Your success in life requires that you do so. This is how to transform your life.

Step 4 – Achieve Results

Every action leads to a result. When you achieve results, your life can transform. When I discovered that I could build an online business and create financial freedom for myself, I made a decision and took action, knowing that I had to do whatever it took to build my dreams.

The result that changed my life was when I made $1 online. When I achieved that goal, it validated that the process worked. Even though it was such a small amount of money, the concept that somewhere in the world someone received value from my work and decided to buy my product, was life-changing. When you take action, your transformation goes deeper. In the words of Tony Robbins, “The path to success is to take massive, determined action.”

How do you achieve results?

You focus on this as your goal. Getting a result as little as $1 is still a result. But, when this happened, I was able to celebrate that result.

You can do the same thing. Your results can be as simple as accomplishing one goal or putting one small thing into motion. It doesn't have to be $1 million dollars or learning how to be an astronaut overnight.

Find small, achievable results that you can celebrate. Look at what is possible when you accomplish these.

When you begin to focus on how to transform yourself, it requires looking at smaller achievements. This is the beginning of transformation. It is the beginning of a new cycle that allows you to move into greater accomplishments.

Step 5 – Be Consistent

The only guaranteed way to transform your life is to be consistent. You could have the best tools in the world for changing your life; but if you don't stick with the process, the change won't last. Consistency is the difference between failure and success. Whatever you are striving towards, a lack of consistency will stop your progress altogether.

The reason why so many people struggle to be consistent is that they become overly obsessed with the outcome and forget about the process. I'm not saying that the outcome isn't important, but if you don't have concrete processes in place in order to guide you, you won't be able to accomplish the outcomes that you desire.

In order to be consistent, you need to have consistent action and consistent results. If you take action and get a result, that's great. But it won't stick unless you are consistent with it. Transformation isn't a one-time experience. Rather, it's a lifelong process. You need to learn how to fall in love with the journey towards becoming more.

The journey to success isn't a straight line. There were will be highs and lows. Prepare to fail because it's a part of the process of growth. In his book, The Dip, Seth Godin says that anything worth pursuing will have a messy middle. Make a plan of what you are going to do when adversity strikes. Doing so will help you navigate your way through difficult times, and will allow you to know how to transform your life on a deeper level.

Step 6 – Change Your Identity

Your life is defined by your beliefs about who you are. If you want to transform your life, you need to change your identity. Breaking out of an old identity often means breaking away from old conditioned belief systems where your original identity was formed. Our inner critic feeds on negative self-concepts, which further inhibits our ability to challenge that self-concept and take action to transform our lives.

One way to shift your negative self-concept and stand up to your inner critic is to through Voice Therapy, a method developed by psychologist and author Robert Firestone. This form of therapy helps people identify and act against their critical inner voice. When we are able to challenge those voices inside of our heads that tell us that we aren't good enough, we cultivate self-compassion and reclaim our sense of who we are.

Once you change your identity from disempowering to empowering, and you start getting consistent results, your perception of yourself shifts. For example, all of the sudden your mindset could shift from being a “want-entrepreneur” to being a successful entrepreneur. That new reality has now become your new identity.

Keep in mind that you can change your identity by getting results, but you have to sustain that momentum. How do you do this? You need to decide what kind of new identity that you want to have. Over time, once you start to actualize your identity, your behaviors will change, allowing you to successfully achieve your goals.

Step 7 – Commit To Mastery

Committing to mastery is the result of conditioning and reinforcement. In order to master your identity, you have to continuously take actions that will grow it so that the identity gets stronger. If you don't commit, you will regress.

I discovered self-development when I was 17 years old. I made a decision to no longer settle. I committed to mastery and got rid of anything that wasn’t improving my life. I started learning, improving, and doing daily rituals. Over time I achieved massive results. I developed unshakeable confidence, I became happier, I started setting new goals, and eventually, I was able to attract better people into my life.

At first, I was only doing my rituals every few weeks. As soon as I made the commitment to practice these success rituals on a consistent basis, I started to see results. All of the sudden my identity shifted and my life transformed. People started to reinforce my identity and saw me as a motivational person, and then I kept it going by continuing to learn, grow and condition myself through actions that strengthened my identity of who I was. Today I credit my success, in large part, to my ability to stay committed to my rituals. These healthy habits have given me the confidence, willpower, and motivation to know how to transform and master every area of my life.

If you have a burning desire to learn how to transform your entire life, I encourage you to follow the above 7 steps.

Start now to begin to transform every area of your life.

If you have found a space in your life where you are unhappy, then look at what you can do to correct the problem.

Identify exactly what you need to do to change the situation and conquer it, one day at a time.

Remember, mastery is a process. It won't happen overnight. However, as you make progress with your goals as well as changing your circumstances, you will find that what was hard becomes easier. What was an obstacle is now a skill. And what you thought was a level you couldn't achieve is in your direct focus.

You can achieve anything you want in your life.

However, transformation means you need to let go of a certain mindset. You need to examine your beliefs. It also means you need to change your focus in life.

Making the decision to transform your life is a game changer. Even the smallest changes can transform who you are and how you live your life. Committing to upgrading your existence and becoming a better version of yourself is rewarding in ways you could never imagine were possible.  If you want to design an epic life, it will require that you take massive action. Are you ready to stop existing and start living? In the words of Nelson Mandela, “It always seems impossible until it's done.”

Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. The pursuit of happiness is a universal desire. We are all striving to have more of it in our lives.

The challenge that many people face is that they try to find happiness, in the form of external circumstances or rewards. This form of happiness is only temporary.

This idea is supported by research that suggests that only 10 percent of our happiness comes from external factors. The rest of the happiness equation is made up of our genetics, the thoughts, and behaviors that we do deliberately, and our attitude.

People fail to realize that happiness comes from within, and the degree to which you experience it is entirely in your control. In the words of Many Hale, “Happiness is an inside job. Don’t assign anyone else that much power over your life.”

Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. It’s easier than you think.

Happiness flows more easily into our lives when we focus on the positive. Here’s where the problem lies. As human beings, we are hard wired to look for the negative.

This is supported by research that shows that the brain reacts more strongly to negative stimuli. Thus, our attitudes are more heavily influenced by bad news, rather than good news.

It’s easy to blame others for our downfalls, but ultimately we are the ones who are responsible for our lives. We can either rise up, take accountability and change what doesn’t feel good, or we can dwell in self-loathing and despair. Which sounds better to you?

Don’t dwell on the negative. Rather, wake up every day and ask yourself, “What is the good in this situation?” Doing so will allow you to train your brain to continually look for the positive and celebrate life to the fullest.

We all need to get out of our heads and into our hearts more. The head is great for processing information and breaking down thoughts, but our hearts are our compass, our seat of truth, and the place that we go to when we are seeking alignment.

A great way to strengthen the heart muscle is through adopting an attitude of gratitude. No matter what our circumstances are in life, we can all be grateful for something. What are you grateful for?

The feeling of happiness is a state that is achieved by way of being present with yourself and being grateful for what you have. If you actively look for the good, you will find it.

Gratitude has been shown to have countless benefits; some of which include health, happiness, satisfaction with life, and the way we relate to others.

Every single day, as part of my morning routine, I take part in a gratitude exercise in my 5-Minute Journal, which inspires me to start my day with a grateful heart. Take 5 minutes every day and write down what it is that you are grateful for. This is a simple, yet powerful exercise.

Do you want to be more happy? Here’s the secret. Let happiness find you by finding your flow and engaging in valued activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. These are the experiences that contribute to the feeling of happiness.

Happiness is a choice that we have to make every day. Create a morning ritual and engage in something every day that makes you happy. When you make this commitment to yourself, these healthy habits will shift your mindset, allowing you to see the good in everything.

Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. Make the decision to be happy NOW! Focus on it, feel it, and live it.

Take it from David Cuschieri, “Every morning I make the biggest decision of my life: To be happy today. All I know is the here and now. What happened yesterday and what may happen tomorrow is either gone or hasn’t happened yet.”

Do you want to know the secret of being in control of your life? Make a decision. Never underestimate the impact that a single decision can make.

Everything that has happened in your life, to date, has started with a decision. Many people become so fearful of making a mistake, that they end up making a bad decision, or worse, no decision at all.

The beauty of life is that you ALWAYS have options. When you find the motivation to make growth-based decisions, you step into the driver’s seat of your life.

In the words of Paulo Coelho, “When someone makes a decision he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places that he had never dreamed of when he first made the decision.” Are you ready to make a decision?

A decision can go one of two ways – towards a life of happiness or towards a life of suffering. If you want to experience the former, it is important that you make the right decision at the right time. Unfortunately, from an evolutionary perspective, our brains are not designed to make rational decisions.

When neuroscientists examined brain activity during a simple decision-making experiment, they noticed people had often decided on a course of action ten seconds before they were consciously aware of having made any decision at all. The goods news is that we are all capable of change, and it all starts with our mindset.

In his book Get Smart!: How to Think and Act Like the Most Successful and Highest-Paid People in Every Field, author Brian Tracy presents ten different ways of thinking that enable better decision making, one of which includes thinking about the long-term consequences of your decision.

Instead of being plagued by the desire for instant gratification, become more aware of how your actions today will impact your future. The ability to delay gratification is a core principle of success.

The next time you are about to make an instinctual decision, without thinking it through, sit back and ask yourself, “What will be the long-term consequences of the action that I am about to take?” If you want to solve difficult problems in life, you will need to make difficult decisions. Anything that you desire in life requires a lot of hard work, sacrifice, time, commitment, and energy.

It’s supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. The master knows that challenges are the norm. When things get tough in life, they keep pushing forward.

They make a decision. They decide to take ownership of their mistakes and don’t let their lows dictate their future. Research by Carol Dweck suggests that the top trait that you will need in order to make a decision into a long-term success is the ability to convert life’s setbacks into future successes.

If you are going through a hard time in your life right now, know that this too shall pass. Trust the process of life and learn how to relinquish control. The only thing that you have control over is your reactions to what life throws at you. The small decisions that we make on a daily basis have the power to dictate the direction that our lives will take.

In the words of Tony Robbins, “It’s not what you do once in a while that shapes your life. It’s what you do consistently.” Make a decision, but choose it wisely.

Overcoming Shyness And Social Anxiety https://projectlifemastery.com/shyness-and-social-anxiety/ https://projectlifemastery.com/shyness-and-social-anxiety/#respond Sat, 05 Aug 2017 14:59:54 +0000 http://projectlifemastery.com/?p=6571 Overcoming shyness and social anxiety is something that I can relate to. The post Overcoming Shyness And Social Anxiety appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

]]>

I would like to share with you my journey with overcoming shyness and social anxiety. In my early 20’s I was a very shy, insecure person. I spent a lot of time in front of my computer playing video games, because I was too afraid to interact with people. As a result, I didn’t have any friends. Being alone made me feel safe.

Have you ever experienced shyness and social anxiety? If so, you aren’t alone. There is nothing wrong with being shy; it is a common reaction to have when you are exposed to unfamiliar situations or people.

However, those that suffer from extreme bouts of it often experience social anxiety, where they are unable to function in the simplest of social situations, for fear of being negatively judged and evaluated by others. These situations can cause people to experience significant emotional distress. I can relate.

The great news is that overcoming shyness and social anxiety is possible. You don’t need to live in fear anymore. It all starts with overcoming your self-limiting beliefs. Are you ready to take back control of your life?

While it’s true that a lot of instances of shyness and social anxiety arise from real-life situations, those feelings are perpetuated due to a fear of fear itself. Instead of being anxious about the situation itself, a person is now afraid of the uncomfortable feelings that are associated with it.

This creates a negative perpetual cycle, resulting in more worry and anxiety about future events that appear outside of one’s control. If you want to break this cycle, you need to control the negative limiting beliefs that create those feelings of anxiety in the first place. In the words of Robin Sharma, “The fears we don’t face become our limits.”

Shyness and social anxiety don’t define who I am as a person, and it isn’t who you are either. By holding onto that identity, or belief system, you are accepting that definition as fact.

A belief system is literally B.S. If you want to eliminate a limiting belief, you first need to identify what that belief is. For example, if you had an experience where you were made fun of in a social setting, based on this evidence, you may create a belief that you aren’t worthy of connection.

The question remains, “Why does your subconscious mind want to keep your limiting beliefs, even though you consciously know that these beliefs have a negative effect on your life?” Because limiting beliefs keep people in a zone of comfort; they prevent you from doing things that are deemed, ‘unsafe’.

I believe that overcoming shyness and social anxiety starts with getting out of your comfort zone. This is what worked for me. To this day, I am constantly facing my fears head on, and doing things that allow me to grow and evolve.

Step back and think about the negative consequences of not overcoming shyness and social anxiety. Ask yourself, “What is my life going to look like 5 years from now if I continue down this path?” The problem is that a lot of people don’t want to face their greatest fears in life because it doesn’t feel good.

Yes, the feeling of being uncomfortable can be painful at first, but the reward is worth it. Personal transformation isn’t easy, but I promise you that the truth will set you free. When you master your mindset, anything is possible.

If you aren’t living in alignment with your higher self, it’s time to make a change. Your highest self is the version of yourself that you aspire to; one that you view as happy, confident, and powerful.

The next time you are faced with a challenging situation in life that makes you feel anxious, ask yourself, “What would my highest self do?” Your highest self doesn’t make room for self-limiting beliefs, and neither should you.

The way that you change anything in your life is by making a decision. If you aren’t living in alignment with your higher self, it’s time to make a change.

Overcoming shyness and social anxiety is possible. The way that you change anything in your life is by making a decision. Decide to rid yourself of everything that holds you back from being in your power. That is how you master your life.

Making the decision to not allow shyness and social anxiety to run my life opened up my world to infinite possibilities. I finally felt free to become the person that I desired to be, and so can you.

Don’t let labels, like shyness and social anxiety define who you are. Those are self-limiting belief systems that only hold you back in life. Brian Tracy said it best – “You begin to fly when you let go of self-limiting beliefs and allow your mind and aspirations to rise to greater heights.” Believe in yourself and think empowering thoughts.

The post How I Hit EMOTIONAL THRESHOLD and Changed My Life! appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

]]>

Do you want to know how I hit emotional threshold and changed my life? We all cope with emotions in different ways, based in part on our nature and how we are conditioned to respond to challenges in our environments.

John Medina, author of New York Times Bestseller, Brain Rules: (Updated and Expanded): 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School, says that each of us has a unique reaction to stress, which makes it difficult to quantify it.

An emotional threshold is the tipping point at which we perceive a stimulus, threatening or not, and act on it. Depending on the situation, sometimes we have the ability to effectively manage our emotions and make rational decisions, while other times our emotions overpower us, which ends up dictating our decisions.

Research consistently shows that the skill of self-regulation is necessary for reliable emotional well-being. Your emotional threshold can expand or contract throughout your life. If you want to master your life learning how to express, experience, and regulate your emotions needs to be at the top of your list. Are your emotions driving you or destroying you?

When I was in high school I was a very shy, introverted kid, who was obsessed with video games. The online gaming world satisfied my nature and provided me with a comfortable means of non-human enjoyment. I felt safe not having to interact with others in social settings, because that is what made me most anxious.

I was also a very sensitive kid, so when I fell head over heels in love with a girl and she broke my heart, I was devastated. The pain from that experience was a wake-up call. I didn’t want to live a life of suffering, so I made a decision to change my life. Between the ages of 19-21, I would force myself to go out to clubs.

I didn't want to drink and party, but rather I wanted to place myself in these uncomfortable situations so that I would force myself to engage with others and develop the social skills that I desired. I knew that if I placed myself in enough uncomfortable situations, I would eventually get comfortable being uncomfortable. Actions like these are what drove me to improve my social skills, mindset, and confidence.

I remember another experience that made a large impact on the direction that my life would take. At the beginning of my online business, I was really struggling financially. During this time, I was in traveling throughout Cambodia and one day I felt compelled to give back to the people. I gave $20 to one of the poverty-stricken children that were begging on the side of road. Once I gave the money to the child, about 30 other children surrounded me and asked for money as well.

That was a life changing moment for me because I realized that I never wanted to be in a position in my life where I couldn’t give. From that day forward, I made a decision that I never wanted to live from a place of scarcity because it had created so much pain and worry in my life. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest, and so I set out on a journey to create the life that I desired.

One day I looked at myself in the mirror and said, “Enough is enough.” The pain that I was experiencing motivated and inspired me to shift the way that I was living, and take the steps necessary in order to change my life and achieve success. These were the experiences that led me to hit emotional threshold and changed my life!

Many people are victims to their emotions and believe that they have no control over how they feel. I used to adopt this scarcity mentality, but once I realized that only I am in control of my choices, everything in my life changed. Most people cover things up because they don’t want to face the reality of their lives, and they make it acceptable to settle. If you can get to the truth, you can change anything.

If you want to have a larger emotional threshold, you need to learn how to channel negative energy into something positive. Condition your mind so that you approach challenges in life with a proactive mindset. When you do, you will master your emotional state and feel more in control of your life.

In the words of Paul Wong, “The biggest challenge to self-control is emotional regulation. Successful people know how to make their emotions their servants rather than their masters.”

I would like to share with you some money management tips for getting out of debt. Debt is no fun, and the emotional burden that it can create in peoples’ lives can be overwhelming. Henrik Ibsen said it best, “Home life ceases to be free and beautiful as soon as it is founded on borrowing and debt.”

Have you ever wondered why so many people have outrageous debt? A large reason is due to the lack of having a well-disciplined budget and financial life.

Managing your money doesn’t have to be difficult. It’s about knowing how you are using your money. How would your life change if you were free of debt? Make a decision to get rid of it, once and for all.

Below are 5 money management tips for getting out of debt:

1. Be Aware of And Accept Your Debt

One of the most difficult things to do when first getting on the debt pay-off journey, is to truly accept your debt. Oftentimes, the reality of debt is too painful to acknowledge or accept, so the natural response is to avoid that it exists. I speak from personal experience.

When I was in my early 20’s, I was in a lot of debt. I had to make sacrifices in order to manage my money more efficiently and become debt-free. It was the acceptance of my reality that allowed me to make a change in my life. If you are serious about becoming debt-free, you need to acknowledge its existence. Be proactive. Don’t live in fear. Instead, take action.

2. Decide To Change your Spending Habits

Making a decision implies that you are about to take action. When you make the decision to change your spending habits, you are halfway there to financial freedom! Saving money is about changing spending habits. What are your spending habits?

In order to become debt-free, you need to address the actual money management habits that you are struggling with, that led to the debt in the first place. Ramona Pearson, a certified public accountant and personal financial advisor said that “Money habits are formulated at a very young age for most people.” Take the time to figure out why you're spending habits are the way they are.

Sure enough, this is the reason why a lot of people that win the lottery end up losing it all. They don't take the time to develop the discipline in order to manage their money properly.

Focus on cutting your expenses or your overhead in some way. This will allow you to have some extra cash flow every month. Then, you can use that cash flow to start paying off your debt.

3. Track Your Expenses

If you want to free yourself from debt, you need to start tracking your expenses. The best way to work out what you spend your money on and how much you have left at the end of every month, is to keep a record of all your expenses.

According to Pick The Brain, for two weeks you should write everything down that you spend. Record the time, the place, and how much it costs. Doing so will help you identify your spending patterns.

If you haven’t done something like this before, there is a good chance that you will shock yourself. How often do you track your money? If the answer is never, it’s time to get out a calculator and start doing the math!

4. Don’t Spend What You Earn

Once you start making money, don’t be tempted to spend MORE money. This is where people get themselves into trouble. You have to discipline yourself to NOT engage in this behaviour.

In his book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What The Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!, Robert Kiyosaki said, “Invest in assets, not liabilities.” An asset is something that puts money into your pocket, while a liability is something that takes money out of your pocket. Which category does everything in your life fall into?

If you can’t manage the money that you currently have, then there is no point making more money. If you adopt the mindset that making MORE money will be the answer to your debt issues, you are wrong. This is a recipe for disaster.

5. Reward Yourself

Adjusting to a new style of living involves sacrifice. Breaking bad habits, especially when it comes to spending money, is hard work. This is why it’s important that you reward yourself when you have practiced self-discipline.

Be kind to yourself and engage in mini-celebrations, now and then. Why? Because the MORE that you acknowledge and reward yourself for your successes, the more success you will have.

Charles Duhigg, New York Times reporter and author of The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Businesssaid “First, you have to pick a cue, like every single time that you get a pay check, you’ll move 5% of it into savings.” The key to making your habit stick is to give yourself a reward every time that you engage in a positive behaviour.

Debt is debt, but don’t feel that you have to punish yourself because of it. Honour the small achievements that you make every day, on your journey towards financial freedom. How you choose to manage and spend your money can have a profound impact on your life. I encourage you to follow these money management tips for getting out of debt.

Your ability to make good money decisions will end up shaping the direction that your life will take. Are you ready to be free of debt? Take control of your financial future now!
