How would it feel if you could be happy every single day?

I'm not saying that it's not okay to have bad days. Life happens. However, a lot of people struggle to find happiness.

Herein lies the problem. In today's world, happiness is marketed as a goal in and of itself. The line of thinking is, “If I buy this, I'll be happy.”

You can't buy happiness. Rather, happiness is something that you cultivate internally through daily practice. The ability to feel happy every day is a lot easier than you think.

If you're ready to re-write your happiness rules and experience more joy in your life, read on…

Happiness is elusive.

It's an emotion that we may get a glimpse of at different times in our lives. However, it isn't necessarily something that we feel consistently. Inside this blog, I want to bring attention to why I think this happens. More importantly, I want to help you train your brain to feel more happiness daily, without having to do anything to access this emotion.

What if happiness wasn't something that you had to pursue, but rather, something that could follow you? The reason why people don't experience happiness is that they have rules about what has to happen for them to feel happy.

For example, some people will say, “I'll be happier if I start making $100,000 per year.” What tends to happen is that once this person gets closer to their desired target, they move that target further away. They'll say to themselves, “I'm making $100,000 yet I'm still not happy, so I have to hit 1 million dollars now.”

Other people experience happiness without having to work for it. There are no rules or conditions in place. If you ask this person what has to happen for them to hit the target of happiness, they might say, “I wake up and I realize that I'm alive! It's a waste to not enjoy and appreciate this incredible gift that I've been given.”

The latter person has beliefs that allow them to feel happy consistently.

The richness of what you focus on determines the richness with which you feel life. The way I see it is that, if we want to experience true happiness, we have to stop taking our lives for granted. Appreciation for the small things turns what we already have into enough.

Why is this way of thinking such a difficult concept for people to grasp and implement? Well, we are conditioned to expect something outside of us to make us happy – a fancy car, a new home, a high-paying job, a partner. If you wait for something or someone to make you happy, you're going to be miserable.

Nothing is ever going to be enough. Happiness is not outside of you. Rather, it's a state of mind, but you have to learn how to cultivate it. The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your beliefs. Check-in with yourself – do your current belief systems empower or disempower you?

If you're holding onto self-limiting beliefs that are preventing you from moving forward in life, my invitation to you is to do the work to reprogram your thoughts. Write a new list of rules of what has to happen for you to feel happy. For example, “I feel happiness anytime that I smile” or “I feel happiness anytime that I focus on the good in my life.”

Happiness isn't the reward for the sacrifices that you make to be successful. When you make it a priority to cultivate happiness, naturally you will have more energy, excitement, and passion to pursue your goals and dreams. You can't take action to change your life for the better if you feel miserable.

This is the TRUTH about how to be happy every day.

Commit to re-writing your happiness rules and give yourself permission to create a life of happiness, joy, and fulfillment. Happiness is always with you and it always follows you.

Regardless of whether or not you have achieved all of your goals, you still have so much to be happy about. Decide to be happy right now, no matter what. Give your life the gift of happiness, contentment, and inner peace.

Many of you may be surprised to hear that Tony comes from humble beginnings. He wasn't handed success on a silver platter. Rather, he had to work for it.

Over the last four decades, Tony has become a best-selling author, philanthropist and the world's leading life and business strategist. He has inspired and transformed millions of people's lives, including my own.

Tony Robbins has mastered success.

If you've been trying to figure out how to achieve success but keep coming up short, Tony's 10 top rules for success will put your frustrations to rest. It's important to understand that success isn't an event. Rather, it's a process of becoming the best version of yourself.

The process is what frustrates a lot of people. It causes them to dabble and inevitably, give up. Success takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. If you want to achieve your goals, you have to focus on and trust the process. There are no shortcuts when it comes to mastering your life.

Let's explore how you can achieve lasting success and fulfillment by implementing Tony Robbins' top 10 rules for success and fulfillment.

1. Model Success

Success always leaves clues. Are you looking? If not, it's time to start! Learn and model the success strategies of people who have achieved what it is that you want. As Tony says, “If you want to achieve success, all you need to do is find a way to model those who have already succeeded.” This is exactly what he did.

When Tony was 17 years old he was flat out broke. However, he decided to invest in a $35 three-hour seminar with motivational speaker and coach, Jim Rohn. That decision to invest in himself ended up being one of the best decisions of his life.

Jim Rohn went on to be one of Tony's #1 mentors. Find someone who has achieved what it is that you want and take on their mindset, values, beliefs, and behaviors. This is what has allowed Tony Robbins to compress decades into days.

2. Make New Decisions

Ultimately, decisions shape your life. You are where you are today because of the decisions that you've made. The past is gone. If you aren't happy with the decisions you've made up to now, all that you can do is learn from your mistakes, move forward and commit to making better decisions. You are in control of your destiny. The only way that you can maximize your potential is by making new decisions.

Tony believes that, at any given moment, you can change your life by making a new decision. If you are currently on a path that isn't working for you, make a slight 10-degree shift. It may feel like nothing. However, in 5-10 years from now, that small shift has the power to alter the course of your entire life.

If you want to be the master of your life, you have to make good decisions on a consistent basis. It's not what you do once in a while that determines your success in life. Rather, it's the actions that you take every single day.

3. Take Massive Action

Tony believes that knowledge is not power. It's only potential power to the extent that it is being used. The real power lies in your ability to take massive action towards your goals. Execution will always trump knowledge. If all you do is set goals but don't have a plan for achieving them, you are merely wishing for success.

In his work, Tony Robbins talks a lot about the importance of creating a Massive Action Plan (MAP). He suggests that when you're creating your MAP, ask yourself, “How much”, “By when?” and “For what purpose?”

Just because you create a plan that doesn't mean that you are going to know every single step that you need to take in order to achieve your goal. A plan merely gives you a map of how you are going to reach your destination. The rest is up to you. What action are you going to take today that you've been putting off?

4. Raise Your Standards

Tony believes that you can't change your life unless you are willing to raise your standards. If you want more in life, you've got to expect more from yourself. In effect, you've got to turn your “shoulds” into “musts.” How many times have you told yourself what you “should” do? We all have a list of “shoulds.”

Research shows that, because so much of our behavior is driven by “shoulds,” we are losing our ability to distinguish what we really “want.” As a result, we fail to take action. Stop “shoulding” yourself! It's only when you fully commit to doing something that you are able to step into your power.

Tony says that the secret to success is learning how to leverage pain and pleasure, instead of having it use you. Ask yourself, “What are the negative consequences of not taking action?” Equally important, “What are the positive benefits that will come from taking action?”

5. Create An Hour Of Power Morning Ritual

You need to make sure that you take time every morning to nurture your mind, body, and spirit. Research shows that people whose performance peaks in the morning are better positioned for career success. Why? Because they are more proactive than people who are at their best in the evening. Your success in life depends, in large part, on your ability to maintain a proactive mindset.

There is no underestimating the power of a morning ritual. This is what allows you to take control of your own conditioning. By showing up for yourself, you are better able to show up for others. When I take the time to put myself into a powerful state of mind, I feel unstoppable. By starting your morning with an hour of power, you will be able to perform at the highest level throughout your entire day.

6. Resourcefulness Is The Ultimate Resource

Resources are always available. The only reason why people fail is that they lack resourcefulness. They don't believe that they have the time, energy, money or experience to achieve success. Tony says that resourcefulness is the ultimate resource.

Some of the most successful people in this world started their journey with no resources. However, they learned how to be resourceful along the way. When they couldn't find a way, they made the way. If you are creative enough, you will find the answer to anything. If you are determined enough, you will find the breakthrough. When you tap into and unleash your inner strength, creativity, and curiosity, there is no resource that you cannot obtain.

7. Constant and Never-Ending Improvement

Tony coined the acronym, CANI, which stands for constant and never-ending improvement. This concept originates from the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen, which means “good change.” In short, it is a mindset that focuses on self-improvement and growth.

If you want to become the master of your world, you can't stop learning in any aspect of your life. Tony argues that you can't have a standard education if you want to have an extraordinary life. As a society, he says that we need to change our psychology from, “I'm going to do what everyone else does” to “This is the greatest time to be alive because I can grow, educate, and develop my skills.”

Work harder on yourself than anything else. If you become more valuable, you will be able to give more, do more, and change more. As Warren Buffet says, “The best investment that you can make is in yourself.”

8. The Secret To Living Is Giving

Tony says that the secret to living is giving. He believes that, if you can give, even when you don't have the money to do so, scarcity will leave your life. His entire mission in life is based on contribution. Making an impact and adding value to peoples' lives brings him the greatest joy and fulfillment.

Tony built The Tony Robbins Foundation, a non-profit organization that was created to empower individuals and organizations to make a significant difference in the quality of life of people who have been forgotten. His organization has now fed millions of people around the world. It's fair to say that Tony is someone who sincerely cares about human beings.

Make the act of giving a must in your life. When you give, the rewards of doing so will be greater than you could have ever imagined. In the words of Tony himself,Only those who have learned the power of sincere & selfless contribution experience life’s deepest joy: true fulfillment.”

9. Success Without Fulfillment Is Failure

How many of you have had those days where you achieved a massive goal and then your brain went, “Is this all there is?” There is no worse fate than when you achieve everything, yet you still aren't fulfilled. The human mind is not going to make you happy. It's up to you to create your happiness.

Unfortunately, a lot of people only strive for financial success. They think that by having more money, they will be happy. Tony taught me that you can have all the money in the world. However, if you aren't fulfilled, then you are a failure. As Tony says, “Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure.”

Don't strive to solely master the science of achievement. Rather, strive to master the art of fulfillment. At the end of the day, the quality of your life comes down to the quality of the emotions that you consistently experience. If you can change your emotions, you can change your life.

10. Who You Spend Time With Is Who You Become

Tony Robbins believes that one of the most important decisions that you can ever make in your life is who you decide to spend your life with. Proximity is power. In his talks, he shares a powerful story about the time when he spoke to the U.S. Marines. They were deeply moved by what he had to say to them.

After his talk, the General approached him and said, “These Marines are currently living at the highest standard possible. However, when they leave this high-vibe environment and go back to their normal lives, their standards drop. The General asked Tony why he thought this happened. Tony's response to him was, “It is because people's lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group.”

When you are a part of an empowering ecosystem of people who are living life at a high level, you automatically raise your expectations. However, if you surround yourself with people who have low standards, you will follow suit. If you want to change your life, change who you spend time with.

These are Tony's top 10 rules for success and fulfillment.

Tony Robbins is living proof that his formula for success works. You deserve the opportunity to experience massive success in this lifetime. If you commit to learning and modeling the behaviors of super-successful people like Tony Robbins, I promise that you will accelerate your success tenfold.

In the words of Tony himself, “I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach and who walk their walk.”

When you commit to mastery, the world becomes your oyster. I am living proof that this is true. When I made the decision to commit to mastery, my entire life transformed.

However, mastery doesn't happen overnight. There is no magic mastery pill that you can take. It is a habit that you need to condition, every day. It takes commitment, consistency, and dedication.

At the end of the day, self-mastery is a choice, and it starts and ends with you. Every time that you take a step towards becoming a better version of yourself, you are moving in the direction of your dreams.

Mastery is what sets successful people apart from the rest. In the words of Robin Sharma, “Self-mastery is the DNA of life mastery.” Are you ready to discover what life looks like when you commit to mastery?

I believe that true success starts with self-mastery, which is why I have dedicated my life and my work to it. Let me be clear – I'm not perfect by any means.

I still have bad days, but through my commitment to a never-ending quest for personal growth and learning, I am now in the driver's seat of my life. Trust me when I say it's an awesome place to be.

There is nothing that stands in my of success. Why? Because I commit to mastery. I have done the hard work to master my mind and emotions, and I want to inspire you to do the same.

Below is a sneak peek of my personal mastery manifesto; a set of guiding principles that I live by that have allowed me to master every area of my life:

I am the master of my life. I design and create my future, never settling for mediocrity or being average. I demand the most of myself and hold myself to the highest standard, comparing myself to no one.

I never stop learning and growing, always remaining humble, by learning from others and standing on the shoulders of giants. I invest in myself because I know that I am worth it.

My own self-growth is the best investment that I can ever make. I take massive action, as knowing is not enough. I always apply myself ad act on what I know. I never stop believing in myself and having faith in my vision, capabilities, and unlimited potential.

I focus on mastering the process and enjoying the journey, trusting that it will always lead to my ultimate destiny. I never give up; when a challenge or plateau arises, I always choose to step up and find the way.

I focus on mastering the fundamentals, over and over again, as I understand that repetition is the mother of mastery. I am proactive and strategic about my decisions, not reactively allowing distractions, dabbling, or the novelty of shiny objects to interfere with my purpose.

I defy the odds of what is possible. I create my own standard and determine my own future, not allowing the doubters to tell me otherwise.

I go deep in all aspects of life, as I know that mastery and the rewards lie in the depth, not on the surface.

I live the truth of who I really am and what I'm capable of, not allowing stories or excuses to limit me. I do what I say and I keep my word, for integrity and following through on my commitments builds the self-esteem and character that I pride myself in.

I focus on giving and adding value, and serving the greater good, for I know that my own needs will be met simultaneously, through meeting the needs of others.

I lead by example and walk my talk, because I know that actions speak much louder than words. I lead with my heart, with the purpose of serving and inspiring others of the unlimited possibilities of the human spirit. My caring is my ultimate power.

I live with abundance, having full faith and certainty that there's always something more easily within my grasp, instead of living with fear and scarcity. I reward and acknowledge myself constantly, as praise is the father of mastery, and whatever gets rewarded, gets repeated.

I celebrate every result and outcome, small or big, good or bad, as every result has a higher purpose and intent, allowing myself to fully trust the process of life, thereby surrendering the need for control.

I am positive and optimistic, always searching for the good and creating an empowering meaning, whatever life gives me. I live with joy and happiness today, never willing to delay my happiness to a future event, as I know that happiness is a choice, and I choose to live each day to the fullest.

I commit to mastery in all areas of my life, refusing to settle for anything less than an extraordinary quality of life.

I hope that my mastery manifesto lights a fire in your soul and inspires you to make a shift in your life. The first step towards self-mastery is commitment. Commit to mastery and let go of the limitations and the stories that are holding you back from tapping into your unlimited potential.

Peter Senge said it best, “Personal mastery is the discipline of continually clarifying and deepening our personal vision, of focusing our energies, of developing patience, and of seeing reality objectively.” Are you ready to create your own personal mastery manifesto and become a master of your life?

The post Never Sacrifice Your Happiness For Success | Stefan James appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

Never sacrifice your happiness for success. Happiness and success are two very different things. I’m not saying that we don’t need goals to motivate and inspire us to take action, but the achievement of our goals is not the only thing that determines our happiness.

We have been conditioned to believe that external things are responsible for creating our happiness, but this illusion of happiness is far from true. As long as you believe that your happiness is associated with something that is outside of yourself, you will not be happy.

Do you sacrifice your happiness for success? If so, I’m here to share the reasons why this is a bad idea. Success is not a reflection of happiness. Rather, how happy you are is the truest measure of success. In the words of Tony Robbins, “Success without happiness is failure.”

Never sacrifice your happiness for success, because the reality is that nothing in the external world is going to make you happy and fulfilled. If you base your happiness on the acquisition of temporary things, then your happiness will be temporary.

Dr. Thomas Gilovich, a psychology professor at Cornell University who has studied the relationship between money and happiness, suggests that, “One of the enemies of happiness is adaptation.” He adds further, “We buy things to make us happy, and we succeed. But only for a while. New things are exciting to us at first, but then we adapt to them.”

Oftentimes, once people achieve what it is that they believe will make them happy, they instinctively seek out something else to make them even happier. The never-ending cycle of ‘wanting’ happiness continues.

According to a professor of Psychology at Denver University, Iris Mauss, wanting to be happy can make you less happy and if you explicitly and purposely focus on happiness that can have a self-defeating effect.

Have you ever wondered why some successful people are unhappy?

Research shows that there are now 2,089 billionaires in the world, however the richest people aren’t always the happiest.

A new study co-funded by the Gates Foundation portrays the ultra-rich as lost souls burdened by the fears, worries and family distortions of too much money. This study proves that while money affords us the luxury to have and do nice things, it doesn’t buy happiness. This is why you should never sacrifice your happiness for success.

Happiness is found by understanding your true nature. It is not something that happens to you. Rather, it is a choice that you make every day. When you live in alignment with your true self, it allows you to live out your true life purpose, and that is where happiness lies.

You could decide to be happy right now just by deciding what it is that you are grateful for, and consciously changing your physiology. Doing things like smiling, breathing, and meditating will accomplish this goal. If you are living a life that is filled with things that you are passionate about and you are living in alignment with your mission, then you will feel as if you are succeeding, on your terms.

Never sacrifice your happiness for success, and don’t be fooled into thinking that that happiness and success are one and the same. Above all, choose happiness.

You can play your cards right in the pursuit of attaining success, but happiness is not something that is guaranteed. You need to actively create it and define what it means for you. Decide to be happy right now!

In the words of Ingrid Bergman, “Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get.” When you make the choice to be happy, success will follow naturally.

What it’s REALY like to be a millionaire. Is this something you have ever thought about? Many people have an idealized notion of what it means to be a millionaire.

Just because someone is a millionaire, that doesn’t necessarily mean that their lifestyle aligns with their bank account.

Most successful millionaires do not live how you think they do. Not only that, but they set themselves apart from others by the skills that they have mastered; like confidence, discipline, emotional intelligence, and money management; to name a few.

Becoming a millionaire doesn’t happen overnight. I know that many of you have goals and aspirations of joining the ‘millionaire club’ one day, so I’m happy to share my story with you.

Are you ready to learn what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire? You may be surprised by what I have to say.

Watch the video below:

Since I was 17 years old, becoming a millionaire was a goal of mine. I became a millionaire when I was 28 years old.  When I achieved the label of ‘millionaire', it didn’t mean that much to me, like I thought it would.

A more pivotal moment in my life was the point at which I was making a 6-figure salary. That is when my life transformed. I was able to travel, quit my 9-5 job, and I didn’t have to worry about money. I had finally achieved financial freedom.

This is what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire.

A lot of people get consumed with the idea of making ‘big’ money, fast. Adopting this get rich quick mentality can be a form of ego gratification or an insecurity.

When you are obsessed with making a lot of money, it is easy to lose sight of what really matters most in life – happiness. The fact is that money does not buy happiness.

Research shows that wealth may make it harder for you to appreciate simple pleasures in life, and that’s bad news for your mindset, given that most of life is made up of simple moments that have a lasting impact on our lives.

Michael Norton, co-author of the book, Happy Money: The Science of Happier Spending, suggests that, while this is all well and good, the simple pleasures in life don’t seem as exciting as the extraordinary ones.

However, he points out that you can shift this perspective by giving up a simple pleasure for a period of time, which will allow you to savor it even more when you bring it back into your life.

Oftentimes our favorite moments in life don’t involve extravagant things. Rather, they are simple things, like a conversation that left you laughing for hours with people that you love.

This is what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire.

As many of you know, I preach the value of life mastery. I believe that relationships, health, and positive emotions trump money. You can have all the money in the world, but still be depressed, lonely, and unhealthy. In my eyes, that’s not a definition of success. That’s failure.

I know that I said earlier that I don’t think that money can buy happiness, but there are some circumstances where I believe that it can.

Money allows you to travel the world and experience new and exciting things. Memories of places that I’ve gone and the people whom I’ve shared those experiences with have brought an abundance of joy and happiness to my life.

Money also allows you to invest in yourself. If you aren’t growing, you are dying. The more that you are progressing in life, the happier you will be. For example, I am able to purchase things like a PEMF EarthPulse mat for my bed, which improves my sleep, so that I can perform at my best, every day.

Lastly, one of the biggest things that money provides you with is time. When you leverage it correctly, you can use time to do more of what you really love.

To make a million dollars you need to become someone of value and develop incredible habits that translate to all areas of your life. That is what I am most proud of in my life. The money that I’ve made as a result of the work I’ve done is merely a secondary benefit.

This is what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire.

Jim Rohn once said, “The greatest reward in becoming a millionaire is not the amount of money that you earn. It is the kind of person that you have to become to become a millionaire.”

Are you ready to upgrade your lifestyle? Be proactive and strive to become the best version of yourself. When you commit to life mastery, anything is possible.

Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. The pursuit of happiness is a universal desire. We are all striving to have more of it in our lives.

The challenge that many people face is that they try to find happiness, in the form of external circumstances or rewards. This form of happiness is only temporary.

This idea is supported by research that suggests that only 10 percent of our happiness comes from external factors. The rest of the happiness equation is made up of our genetics, the thoughts, and behaviors that we do deliberately, and our attitude.

People fail to realize that happiness comes from within, and the degree to which you experience it is entirely in your control. In the words of Many Hale, “Happiness is an inside job. Don’t assign anyone else that much power over your life.”

Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. It’s easier than you think.

Happiness flows more easily into our lives when we focus on the positive. Here’s where the problem lies. As human beings, we are hard wired to look for the negative.

This is supported by research that shows that the brain reacts more strongly to negative stimuli. Thus, our attitudes are more heavily influenced by bad news, rather than good news.

It’s easy to blame others for our downfalls, but ultimately we are the ones who are responsible for our lives. We can either rise up, take accountability and change what doesn’t feel good, or we can dwell in self-loathing and despair. Which sounds better to you?

Don’t dwell on the negative. Rather, wake up every day and ask yourself, “What is the good in this situation?” Doing so will allow you to train your brain to continually look for the positive and celebrate life to the fullest.

We all need to get out of our heads and into our hearts more. The head is great for processing information and breaking down thoughts, but our hearts are our compass, our seat of truth, and the place that we go to when we are seeking alignment.

A great way to strengthen the heart muscle is through adopting an attitude of gratitude. No matter what our circumstances are in life, we can all be grateful for something. What are you grateful for?

The feeling of happiness is a state that is achieved by way of being present with yourself and being grateful for what you have. If you actively look for the good, you will find it.

Gratitude has been shown to have countless benefits; some of which include health, happiness, satisfaction with life, and the way we relate to others.

Every single day, as part of my morning routine, I take part in a gratitude exercise in my 5-Minute Journal, which inspires me to start my day with a grateful heart. Take 5 minutes every day and write down what it is that you are grateful for. This is a simple, yet powerful exercise.

Do you want to be more happy? Here’s the secret. Let happiness find you by finding your flow and engaging in valued activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. These are the experiences that contribute to the feeling of happiness.

Happiness is a choice that we have to make every day. Create a morning ritual and engage in something every day that makes you happy. When you make this commitment to yourself, these healthy habits will shift your mindset, allowing you to see the good in everything.

Want to be happy? Here’s the secret. Make the decision to be happy NOW! Focus on it, feel it, and live it.

Take it from David Cuschieri, “Every morning I make the biggest decision of my life: To be happy today. All I know is the here and now. What happened yesterday and what may happen tomorrow is either gone or hasn’t happened yet.”

In this book, The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster: Why Now Is the Time to #JoinTheRide, Darren Hardy says that people who make the jump into entrepreneurship just aren't ready, prepared, or equipped.

I want to share with you the best entrepreneur advice for beginners, comprised of skills that every entrepreneur must master:

1. Believe in Yourself

Making the choice to become an entrepreneur takes courage, especially when family or friends don’t support your vision, which is why you need to believe in yourself.

The most successful people in this world didn’t get to where they are today by doubting themselves. Talk to yourself as if you are a winner.

If you don’t believe in yourself, who will believe in you? This is your life, your choices, and your destiny. Make it count. As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”

2. Master Your Emotions

If you want to succeed at anything in life, it starts with going inward and learning how to master your emotions. Successful entrepreneurs don’t let their emotions drive their decisions. Rather, they remain calm and calculated under pressure.

A business that is based on reactive decisions will only result in failure. Yes, you will get triggered, but it is up to you to learn how to calm your ‘emotional storm’ so that you can master any challenge that stands in your way of success.

3. Enjoy The Process Of Success

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you need to learn how to enjoy the process of success. If you only focus on external rewards from your efforts, you will always be in the rat race. Don’t be a slave to your external environment.

Even when you start making a certain amount of money and become financially free, it won’t be enough. You will always be looking for the next best thing.

The chase will never make you happy, which is why you need to become less attached to the final outcome and enjoy the process of success. That is where the real growth lies.

4. Focus on Contribution

Take a moment and think about how lucky you are to be able to do what you love. Having an appreciation for your accomplishments carries more meaning when you are able to give back and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

At the end of the day, contribution is the ultimate reward in life. I believe that we are all here to give and contribute something, beyond ourselves. Not only does it give you a sense of lasting fulfillment, but it also serves to accelerate your success at a much faster pace.

In the words of Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”

5. Don’t Be Afraid Of Failure

If you have experienced failure in the past, great! Failure is a normal part of the learning process of life. Thank your failures for the lessons and then let them go.

Accept and learn from your past, but don’t live there, because it doesn’t dictate your future in any way unless you allow it to. If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you will get what you’ve always gotten.

It’s easy to feel shitty when things don’t go your way, but if you want to truly succeed as an entrepreneur you have to use pain as motivation, and develop the mindset and the willpower to keep pushing despite the obstacles that stand in your way.

Use failure as a tool for growth and change. It has the ability to propel you forward and prepare you for what lies ahead.

Being a successful entrepreneur doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a long-term commitment, but the payoff is sweet. This is the best entrepreneur advice for beginners. I challenge you to start utilizing these skills in your business. The result? Business mastery.

Are you someone that is stuck in the past? If so, it’s time to live in the now! This is the secret to a happier future.

We live in a world of distractions. We are bombarded with millions of things that take us away from the present moment, and thus diminish our ability to practice stillness.

Buddhist scholar B. Alan Wallace once said that, “We're living in a world that contributes in a major way to mental fragmentation, disintegration, distraction, de-coherence.” The good news is that you have the power to change.

Many people find themselves either obsessing about the future or dwelling in the past. This is a recipe for pain and suffering. Anything that has occurred in your life up to this point in time is ancient history. Your past does not determine or dictate your future in any way unless you allow it to.

What many of us forget is that our ability to create the future of our dreams hinges on our ability to enjoy the present moment. Don’t worry about tomorrow. It’s time to live in the now!

The world is ever-changing, and if you want to succeed you have to change with it. There is no way of knowing what your life will look like 50 years from now.

However, what you can do is take the steps necessary in order to craft the vision for your life, in the here and now. That vision may change and evolve over time, and that is OK. The important thing is that you set goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them.

The problem is that a lot of people are afraid to make any decision at all, for fear that it will be the wrong one. Instead, they prefer to live in their comfort zone because it feels safe. But there is nothing safe about this zone.

We need to examine our fears and make friends with them. Sure, some choices that we make may lead to more painful life lessons, but nothing hurts more than living in fear.

Oftentimes, what you fear most is the one that will bring you closer to living in alignment with your vision, and inevitably, what will set you free. In the words of Pema Chodron, “Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth.”

The best way to overcome fear is to adopt a growth mindset. These types of people thrive off of challenges and see failure not as evidence of their lack of intelligence, but rather as an opportunity for growth and expansion of their current strengths.

Growth and gratitude go hand in hand. By adopting an attitude of gratitude, we are able to move through life in a much more positive way, which contributes to greater happiness and fulfillment in all areas of life. When we are appreciative of what we already have and live in the now, it inspires us to grow and become more.

Oftentimes people get upset over the littlest things. Each day provides you with an opportunity to make new decisions and choices. If you take things for granted it means that you are too focused on yourself. Step outside of yourself and be more grateful for the blessings that already exist in your life. Live in the now!

The next time that you catch yourself in a negative spiral of complaining or expectation, step back and ask yourself, “In this moment, what am I am grateful for? How can I use this experience to better myself?”

What action will you take today in order to create the life that you desire? You have the choice of deciding who you want to be in this moment and what you want to create for your future.

Drop the past. The present moment is life itself. Live in the now! That is the secret to a happier future. In the words of Eckhart Tolle, “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.” Being present is the only way to enjoy life to the fullest.

You don't need to wait for the future in order to create the life of of your dreams. Why not now? A lot of people spend so much time focusing on what they want their desired future to look like, that they never take action in order to make it a reality.

If you wait for the perfect opportunity to arrive in order to change your life, time will pass you by. Peter Drucker, the legendary father of modern management, approached the future with a forward-focused mindset, as something to be created and nurtured in the present moment.

Many of us get so caught in planning our goals, that we forget to enjoy the present moment, which is where true happiness resides.

In the words of Robert Kiyosaki, “Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow.” Each day is a new opportunity to build your desired future. Forget about tomorrow. What are you going to do today in order to change your life?

I believe that every area of life affects one another. If you neglect one dimension, it will negatively impact the others. True personal growth and development are all about balance.

I am passionate about life mastery, so much so that I built a brand around this concept. I believe that mastery is an ongoing process. In order to create your desired future, you need to master every area of your life. Why not now? Doing so will ensure that you are making progress toward your goals.

More importantly, it will give you momentum to keep moving forward, knowing that you are growing and expanding into the future. This is when life becomes extraordinary.

This is what masters do. They understand the value of repetition, knowing that in order to become great at anything in life they need to do something multiple times and internalize information on a deep level.

The only thing that holds people back from living in alignment with their highest selves is self-limiting beliefs. Successful people ask themselves questions that empower them and support them in finding answers and solutions to their problems. This is one of the best ways to overcome negative belief systems.

In his book Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny!, Tony Robbins shares many examples of the power of questions.

For example, instead of asking, “Why can’t I create the future that I want?”, ask yourself, “Why not now?” Why can’t you take action today in order to experience the joy and fulfillment that you desire?

In today’s world, the only constant is change. Nobody can predict what will happen tomorrow. You and only you have the power to shape the direction that your life will take.

In the words of Abraham Lincoln, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” Why not now? Your future self will thank you for it.
