If you want life-long success, commit to life-long learning.

The moment that I committed to improve and maximize my potential as a human being was the moment that everything in my life changed. It's fair to say that I am obsessed with learning and mastering every area of my life. Self-mastery allows you to move toward your goals with discipline, persistence, and focus.

I believe it is one of the core reasons why I have been able to achieve so much success in my life. Anyone can develop self-mastery. It takes the right mindset, strategies, and repetitive practice, but it's possible. This is why I have made it my mission in life to help people like you do just that.

Being able to learn from other people's wisdom is a gift that a lot of people take for granted. For thousands of years, human beings have been sharing their wisdom and knowledge and paying it forward. Fast forward to today's digital world and think about how lucky we are to be able to consume an abundance of information, for free, in the form of books, podcasts, YouTube videos, and blogs.

Whatever problem or challenge you're going through in your life, you can solve it simply by learning from the wisdom and experiences of others who were once in your shoes. How incredible is that?

People always ask me, “Stefan, if you're so successful why do you bother sharing so much of your knowledge with others? Why wouldn't you just keep what you know to yourself?” Simple answer. I am willing to share my knowledge because I have an abundance mindset, meaning that I believe there are limitless opportunities available to everyone.

This is why I don't hoard my knowledge.

Whenever I learn and benefit from something, I share it. Overwhelming research on mindset shows that the way you think about yourself and the world around you can drastically change the way you learn, how you handle stress, and how you create success. I couldn't agree with this more.

I spent years growing and improving every aspect of my life after being in a place of suffering for so long. In my eyes, it is my moral and ethical obligation to pay it forward. Being of service to others has been my greatest gift in life.

There is no better feeling than knowing that your words or knowledge have impacted someone, so much so that they decide to change their entire life. This is why I do what I do. It gets me out of bed every day excited and energized. It's called living on purpose. Before I dive into my daily process for learning and studying, I want to talk about the value of mindset to learning.

My Learning Mindset

Your mindset influences your learning. The beliefs that you have surrounding personal growth will determine your level of commitment to the process. I would like to share with you the three levels that comprise the mastery mentality, which is – knowing, doing, and living.

The first level is knowing. You can know something, but that doesn't mean that you're taking action on it. A lot of people know what they need to do to change their life. However, they aren't doing what they know. Knowledge isn't enough. This is why I have a rule when it comes to my learning process. For every 1 hour that I learn something, I must spend 3 hours taking action on it.

The second level is doing. This is when you are applying what you've learned. However, you can do something once in a while but still not make lasting progress.

This is where the last level comes in – living. This is when you are not only applying what you know, but you are actually achieving results. Ultimately, this is the level that you want to be at. How do you achieve this level of mastery?

You start by humbling yourself and committing to being a student of life. After that, you go deep and focus on one area of life until you master it. As Bruce Lee once said, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” Never underestimate the power of repetition.

How I Learn

When I was young, I hated school. There was nothing fun about learning for me. I didn't know what the benefits were to learning, which is why I never paid attention in class. As a result, I did poorly in every subject. I was a C student who barely graduated high school. In turn, I thought that I was a dumb kid.

It wasn't until I had an interest in learning and a purpose for doing so, that my experience of learning changed. When it comes to learning and studying, the first thing you need to figure out is why you are learning something in the first place. The most value that I've ever received from anything was when I invested in things, even though I didn't have the money.

The more that you pay, the more that you will pay attention. You won't value free information in the same way that you will when you pay for it.

When it comes to learning, everybody does it differently. I am more of a visual learner, meaning that I enjoy attending seminars, going through training programs, and watching videos.

I do listen to podcasts, but I find that I am more easily distracted by what is going on around me. This is why an immersive-style learning environment is my favorite way of learning. There are zero distractions and I can go all-in.

Whenever I learn, I take notes so that I can capture the knowledge.

If you don't write down what you are learning, you won't retain the knowledge as much. This is why I use Evernote on my phone to capture my notes. I'll take a picture of Powerpoint slides or whatever it is I'm looking at. Evernote is great because it syncs with my computer and multiple other devices.

I am also a huge fan of reading. However, when it comes to reading I like to go deeper into certain subjects and take my time. Sometimes I pause when I'm reading something and re-read a chapter to really understand what I've read. Similarly, I will take some time to reflect upon a specific chapter. I'm after comprehension and mastery, which is why I don't like to speed read.

If I am going to learn something, it's not enough for me to just learn it. Rather, I want to get the maximum benefit from consuming knowledge. This is what allows me to understand my knowledge on a deeper level and apply it in my life. I like to use a Kindle because I can store a lot of books on one device. Right now, I've got 1,000 books on my Kindle alone.

A Kindle is great because you can highlight phrases that stand out to you, take notes where you see fit, and review them at a later time. If you have a wifi connection, you can highlight words within a Kindle book that you don't know the meaning of and it will give you the definition of them.

Whenever I come across words that I don't know, I look up the definition on my computer or my phone. This helps me expand my vocabulary and range of communication. Once I've got the definition, I get flashcards out and write down the word on one side and the definition on the other. Every day I will come back to new words that I learn and reflect upon them on a deeper level.

What do you have a passion and curiosity to learn more about?

I engage in the learning activities I've shared with you to educate myself and become a more well-rounded human being overall. In turn, I am better able to show up for myself, others, and the world. I hope you feel inspired to take action and apply some of these activities and tools into your daily life.

Give yourself the gift of learning. Personal development will change the way you live, love, and lead in the most powerful of ways. Your future self will thank you for it.

When you add value, you generate more money.

Whatever money you are currently making, you need to understand that it is in direct proportion to the amount of value that you are adding. You may be thinking, “Stefan, you don't understand. I'm working really hard and putting in a lot of hours per week at my job. I'm adding massive value to my employer.”

This may be true. However, in terms of the demand for the value that you're adding, you are only getting paid in proportion to what that value really is. For example, let's say that you work the cashier at a McDonald's drive-through. It doesn't matter if you work 60 hours per week. There will always be a limit to how much money you can make at that job. Why? Because the skill that is required to work there is not in high demand. This is not how you create wealth and financial abundance.

If you want to make more money, it's your job to develop your skills, expertise, and knowledge. Here is a 3-step action plan for how to master a high income skill that will make you rich.

1. Choose A High Income Skill

Don't try to learn too many skills at once. A lot of people fall into this dabbler mentality trap. They start a lot of projects but they never finish anything. Focus on mastering one skill and leverage the hell out of it before you try mastering multiple skills at once. As Bruce Lee once said, “I do not fear the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once. I fear the man who has practiced one kick, 10,000 times.”

Copywriting is a great example of a high income skill that you can develop. Copywriters are able to turn words into money. Essentially, they influence people to buy. I have friends that get paid 7 figures per year doing consulting work as a professional copywriter. If you got really good at this skill, you could create an entire business model around it. Like I said earlier, don't try to do everything. Choose one skill and master it

2. Spend Two Hours Per Day Developing Your High Income Skill

I recommend that you spend one hour learning about your high income skill. This could be in the form of training programs, courses, or books. Build a daily habit and go deep. Don't dabble and try to consume a lot of information about things that aren't relevant to your high income skill.

After that, spend the second hour actually practicing and applying your high income skill.

You will always learn more by doing, versus sitting down and watching videos. Unfortunately, a lot of people get caught in the trap of consuming too much information. As a result, they don't take action. Studies in psychology and neuroscience reveal that analysis paralysis takes a far greater toll on your productivity and well-being than just lost time. It can eat up your willpower, kill your creativity, and lower your performance on mentally-demanding tasks.

Practice your master skill first thing in the morning. Make it more important than anything else. This is your ticket to financial freedom. If you work for an employer where you can practice this skill on a daily basis, you will be able to accelerate your learning curve even more. Similarly, if you run your own business, choose a high income skill that will help you grow your business. This is what will allow you to make more money over the long term.

3. Generate Results and Revenue From Your High Income Skill

Once you've developed an intermediate skill set, now you need to start making money from it. Let's say that you develop a skill around search engine optimization. Find companies that are in a specific niche. For example, let's say that the dentistry niche. Maybe you come across a company whose search engine presence is mediocre. You could approach the owner of this business and offer them your high income skill.

You could create a personalized video saying, “Hi, I'm a search engine consultant and marketer. I was looking at your website and I saw a lot of things that you can improve upon. In this video, I want to offer some value to you and share some suggestions for how you can boost your rankings.” By the end of the video, you could say, “I would love to hop on a call with you and see how I could further help you grow your business.”

By doing something like this, instantly you demonstrate your authority and expertise. It becomes a no-brainer for a company to hire you. Over time, you can build up a portfolio to the point where you become a contractor and/or freelancer. There is no limit to the amount of money that you can make doing something like this. However, keep in mind that having your own business will always produce higher amounts of money. If you really want to create financial freedom for yourself, start your own business.

This is how you develop a high income skill.

Pick one thing, take action and go deep with it. If you do, I promise that you will start seeing results from your efforts. If your high income skill changes over time, that's OK. Yes, there will be times when you hit a plateau and crave something new. Whatever you do, don't give into this dabbler mentality.

What is the one high income skill that you are committed to learning and mastering? Comment on the video above!

Are you ready to discover how to learn anything FAST?

I recently did a live Q&A session where I answered your questions about this very topic.

Learning is the foundation of personal growth and development. I believe that it is the one habit that everyone should strive to master.

You have the ability to learn anything, and more importantly, retain anything that you want. Now is the time to transform knowledge into action.

Watch the video below:

Learning is the foundation for growth and change.

As many of you know, I have committed my life to personal growth, for the sole purpose of actualizing my potential. I will continue to engage in this ritual every single day until I die. If you are going to invest time, money and energy into developing yourself, it makes sense that you learn how to learn better. Doing so will allow you to retain more of the information that you are consuming.

In today's information age, people are drowning in knowledge and suffering from analysis paralysis. They are learning a lot of great knowledge that has the potential to change their lives, but they aren't applying any of it. This is why learning how to learn is such a valuable skill.

The most important thing that you should ask yourself before you learn anything is, “What is the purpose of learning this?” Oftentimes, what you get from something and how motivated you are is related to your purpose. When I was in high school, I was a horrible student. I put in the effort to study now and then but I wasn't consistent with it. As a result, I didn't get good grades, nor did I even graduate. I didn't get any value from school because I didn't see the benefit of it. As a result, I wasn't motivated to learn.

However, when I was 17 years old, I had a burning desire to change my life.

At that moment in time, my biggest pain point was my lack of confidence, fears, and insecurities. I committed to doing whatever was necessary in order to change my life. Today, I am a very different person. I love to learn. I've read hundreds of books and have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into my personal growth and development.

Before you dive into learning anything, ask yourself the following questions:

 1. What will be the benefit of learning this?
 2. Why do I want to learn this?
 3. What is the consequence of not learning this?”

One of the reasons why people are slow learners is because they approach learning from a place of passivity. I was first introduced to the F.A.S.T. learning method by the learning expert, Jim Kwik. F.A.S.T. is an acronym that teaches you how to learn anything fast. Each letter represents a powerful reminder which, if applied, can take your learning to a whole new level.

F – Forget

Any time that you learn anything, you need to forget what you already know about it. Forget your limiting beliefs and your ego. The three most dangerous words in the human language are “I know that.” The moment that you say this, you close off your mind from learning anything.

Oftentimes, it's your preconceived notions about what you think you know that prevent you from learning more. I always consume knowledge with a beginner's mindset. Children are amazing learners because they are curious. They are willing to try anything new and aren't worried about what people think of them. That's how you need to be.

Unfortunately, as people get older, they become less coachable. You've got to be willing to go through a “suck phase.” Sure enough, you will get better and better over time.

A – Active

Most people are passive learners. This is a problem. Research shows that we tend to lose almost 40% of new information within the first 24 hours of first reading or hearing something. This is why, when it comes to learning, you've got to be active and involved. Whatever you learn, take notes.

The actual act of writing things down improves your attention. I don't want you to waste your time. This is why you need to be more strategic about how you learn. Always take the time to reflect on what you learn and make a plan for how you are going to apply that knowledge to your life. Asking yourself questions is a powerful part of the learning process.

S – State

If I were to ask you, “Do you remember where you were on 9/11?” you would most likely be able to remember where you were and how you felt because your emotions were attached to that memory. However, if I asked you where you were on 10/11, it may not be as easy for you to recall. Information attached to emotion becomes a long-term memory.

If you aren't learning something that excites you, you won't be emotionally invested. Always make sure that you are in a positive state so that your learning gets anchored and associated with the knowledge that you are consuming. This will ensure that you are more likely to remember the knowledge and do something with it.

T – Teach

I am a big believer in teaching what I learn and sharing it with others. In my experience, it's incredibly beneficial to have a learning buddy. Mine is my fiancée, Tatiana. Whenever we learn something, we talk about it with one another. By sharing that knowledge with her, we grow as individuals and as a couple.

By teaching something to someone, you learn it twice. This is one of my #1 reasons for learning. This is why I love what I do. I think that I have the greatest job in the world because I get to share what I learn with my audience and create content with the intention of inspiring others.

Every video that I publish I personally benefit from. It allows me to integrate what I'm learning on a much deeper level and live it every single day.

Your mind is the foundation for everything that happens in your life. When you learn how to become its master instead of its slave, you are winning. There are 3 levels that comprise the mastery mentality – knowing, doing and living. Unfortunately, a lot of people get stuck at level 1, which is knowing. Knowing doesn't have value unless you are doing and living it on a consistent basis.

Level 2 is doing, which means that you are applying whatever it is that you know.

Lastly, level 3 is living, which means that you are living whatever it is that you are doing. I live what I teach people. The knowledge that I consume becomes a part of who I am.

When you know how to learn anything FAST, you accelerate your success.

As many of you know who follow me, my ultimate mission in my work is to grow, give, and serve. A live stream has always been a great opportunity for me to take on your questions and share my knowledge.

Are you ready for a sneak peek of my live #AskStefan Q&A?

Here are some of my answers to the questions that were asked by audience members who attended my live session. I chose a few that I believe will be of benefit to most people.

How can I get more confident?

Confidence is an emotional state. You may not know it, but you can access this state any time that you want. Think of a time when you felt unstoppable. How did you stand? How did you move? What was the expression on your face? How were you using your voice? If you actually mimicked this state, you would start to feel confident again.

As an example, someone who is shy will usually display exaggerated physiology. They don't give good eye contact, they speak softly and they don't use their body a lot. However, if you shift this person's physiology, it will automatically change their emotional state.

What you focus on, you feel.

If you are lacking in confidence, you are focusing on the worst-case scenario situations, like why you can't do something. This will only create uncertainty. Confident people focus on the best possible scenarios. What words are you using when you talk to yourself and others? Language is connected to emotions. Your brain is like a supercomputer. Everything you say is like a command. If you say, “I can't do this” then you've installed that software into your program.

That won't serve you.

This is why I love positive affirmations. When I say them out loud, I speak with intensity and emotion because I want to condition my brain to be the best that I can be.

Is it better to focus on mastering one thing or learning multiple things at the same time?

Everyone has a different capacity of what they can learn. I'm able to do a lot more than most in terms of the number of goals that I have each year. For most people, I've found that they get overwhelmed easily. I enjoy taking on a lot because it forces me to grow in a huge way. This is what has allowed me to get to where I am today.

You need to choose what is realistic for you. I recommend starting small and focusing on one area of your life.

If you were starting a YouTube channel today, would you do anything differently?

Yes, I would have put out a lot more content from the get-go and I would have gone through a training program. I think I would have been able to grow my channel a lot faster if I had a solid strategy in place for doing so. When you are first starting a YouTube channel, it's easier because you don't have an audience yet.

Therefore, you can experiment more and put out a lot of different types of videos.

However, I can't do this anymore. I have to create content that is based on what my audience wants and what they will benefit from them the most. Sometimes I will publish a video on a topic that I love but it won't end up doing very well because I failed to take into consideration my audiences' needs, problems, and goals.

When you learn something new, should you figure out how to do it along the way or plan a lot in advance?

A little bit of both. I'm more of a fan of the mindset of ready, fire, aim versus ready, aim, fire. I see a lot of people that only aim. They wait for everything to be perfect before they take action and fire. Why not fire and learn as you go? Those are the people that get further ahead in life. Whenever I have ideas, I like to put them into action right away.

Life is a never-ending learning process.

When you learn how to master the art of learning the right way, you accelerate your success tenfold. In the words of Jim Kwik, “If knowledge is power, learning is your superpower.” How would your life change if you were able to learn something in half the time?

The post If You REALLY Want To Make Money, Stop Doing These 7 Things appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

Everyone wants to make money, but not everyone wants to do the work in order to get it.

Nobody can do the absolute minimum and then get upset when they don't achieve what they desire. Having unrealistic expectations about financial wealth can make one's life unnecessarily difficult.

Financially successful people don’t build their wealth by accident. They think and act differently from others. Doing so ensures that they are always winning at life. If you REALLY want to start making money, you need to stop doing 7 things.

Are you ready to learn what they are?

Watch the video below, where I talk about the money beliefs that are holding you back financially:

Everyone wants to learn easy ways to make money.

I encourage you to stop trying to learn how to make money online fast. I think that this is the wrong mindset to adopt. Unfortunately, the get rich quick dream is far from realistic. It almost never happens, and if it does, it is short-lived.

Achieving financial success is not a walk in the park. If you want to make money the right way, it will require that you work hard for it. In the words of Harv Eker,“Success is a learnable skill… If you want to be rich, you can learn how to do it.”

It comes down to the relationship that you have with money. If you think of it as the enemy, you will always struggle to obtain it. It will end up running your life. In reality, money is just a tool. When you realize this, you can start making money work for you instead of against you.

How do you do this? It starts with deconstructing your money beliefs. I believe that the #1 thing that will determine your financial success in life is your mindset towards money. By nature, people are programmed to avoid things that cause fear. If you were told that money is a bad thing, you will see it as such.

In her book, Business In Blue Jeans: How To Have A Successful Business On Your Own Terms, In Your Own Style, Susan Baroncini-Moe coined the term “brain junk” to refer to any mental clutter or emotional baggage that holds you back or keeps you from achieving your goals.

Money “brain junk” is all about the way you feel about financial matters.

There is a lot of attention given to the factors that promote success, but what about the things that you need to stop doing in order to be successful? These factors matter equally as much, if not more. Making money puts you in the driver's seat of your life. However, it's important that you understand how to build wealth the right way. This starts by identifying your daily habits.

Let's talk about 7 things that you need to stop doing if you REALLY want to learn how to make money in life.

1. Stop Overspending

Before you can make money, you need to learn how to manage your money. The best way to do this is by budgeting. A lot of people cringe when they think of budgeting because it is associated with sacrifice. However, if you live paycheque to paycheque, you are never going to be able to get ahead financially in life.

Nobody wants to live with a massive amount of debt. It all comes down to learning how to be smart with the money that you currently have. Budgeting is a way of making your money work for you instead of against you. This is the best tool that you have in order to build long-term wealth.

In his book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth, T. Harv Eker teaches a very effective money management method, called the JARS System. This method states that 55% of your income should be put towards your necessities, 10% towards your financial freedom, 10% towards long-term savings, 10% towards your education, and 10% towards fun.

This system has helped myself and many others create financial abundance. Money management is a skill that every successful person has mastered. In the words of Charles Jaffe, “It's not your salary that makes you rich, it's your spending habits.” Ask yourself… is it time to cut back on your spending?

2. Stop Thinking Short-Term

A lot of people are driven by the desire to make money fast. Short-term gratification is pleasurable but it's not sustainable. The secret to building long-term financial success is to think long-term.

After studying a lot of financially successful people, Dr. Edward Banfield found that the most important factor is a particular way of thinking. In particular, those who are successful tend to have a longertime perspective.”

In my experience, successful people are extremely goal-oriented. They actively think and plan for their future and are always considering what the long-term consequences of their actions are. Doing so ensures that they are always getting consistent results.

For example, instead of living for the moment and spending all of their money at once, they save and invest a portion of the money that they have into financial assets, like stocks or bonds. Are you investing your money?

The long-term is where it's at! I encourage you to remove yourself from the “get rich quick” hole that so many people get trapped in. There is no rush. Slow down and enjoy the process of success. I promise that you will get there soon enough if you are patient and do the work.

3. Stop Living In Scarcity

If you are in debt, it's possible that you have adopted a scarcity mindset in relation to money. The money scarcity mindset shows up as a feeling of lack, fear of spending or losing your money. This attitude towards money is largely unconscious and is driven by limiting beliefs around money.

Have you ever experienced a voice inside of your head that tells you, “I don’t deserve wealth” or “I’ll never achieve financial freedom”?

This voice isn't yours in the first place. Usually, these limiting beliefs develop during childhood and are passed onto you from somebody else. If you are living from a place of scarcity, you may have experienced a situation where one or both of your parents spoke about money in a certain way. As a result, it may have caused you to operate from the same limiting perspective as them.

In the words of Stephen Covey, “Most people are deeply scripted in what I call the Scarcity Mentality. They see life as having only so much, as though there was only one pie out there. And if someone were to get a big piece of the pie, it would mean less for everybody else.”

If you want to attract wealth into your life, I encourage you to adopt an abundance mindset. There is enough money for everyone. If you just believe that you can achieve financial success, you are halfway to creating the life of your dreams.

4. Stop Saying “I Know Everything”

Did you know that your thoughts create your reality? Be careful how you speak because your vocabulary becomes a part of your success mindset. Regardless of your education or experience, it’s impossible to know everything. The people that think they do are usually the ones who make the most mistakes in life.

As you start to gain success, you have to be very careful that you don’t develop an ego. I believe that this can be one of the greatest barriers to self-development. When you think you've got it all figured out, you close yourself off to learning. Everything goes downhill from here.

Successful people adopt an attitude of curiosity. They know that there is no such thing as a dumb question. They are open-minded, which allows them to grow and develop, both personally and professionally. I have devoted my life to being a life-long learner.

If you want to make more money, you need to commit to improving yourself. I have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in my education and I will continue to do so even though I don't need to. When you commit to learning, you become a person of value. The more value you create for others, the more financially abundant your life will become. I am living proof that this is true.

5. Stop Resisting Change

Because we are creatures of habit, change isn't something we go out of our way to attract. However, if you don't embrace change and adapt, you will get left behind. As Charles Kettering once said, “The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress.”

Successful people accept this fact and actively put themselves in situations that stretch their comfort zone. As a result, they are always creating new possibilities for themselves. Stepping outside your comfort zone is all about taking a leap of faith and diving in, head first, all while knowing that failure may be a possibility.

For example, if you decide to start your own business you are letting go of everything that is deemed “secure” for the unknown. If you want to remain competitive in an ever-changing business world and achieve entrepreneurial success, you've got to take risks. You will never know your true potential in life if you don't.

The biggest obstacle to change is you. If you struggle with change, it's time to get out of your own way and stop resisting it.

6. Stop Being Held Back By Failure

From an early age, we are taught that failure is a bad thing. As a result, we do whatever it takes to prevent it from happening. Here's the thing… you cannot hide from failure. It's a part of life. If you aren't failing then you aren't trying.

The road to success is never straight. Every successful person has failed. How you handle failures and setbacks will determine your level of success in life. When you fail, you are given an opportunity to learn valuable information about what didn't work so that you don't make the same mistake twice.

I'm not saying that failure is fun. However, it is necessary if you want to become the best at anything life. This is why the most successful people will tell you that their greatest failures have transformed into their greatest triumphs.

We don't win by playing it safe. Don't allow life's failures to knock you down. Instead, use them as leverage to propel you forward.

7. Stop Ignoring Your Health

In today's 24/7 busy world, hard work is the norm. If you aren't rushing from one place to the next and being overly busy, people assume that there's something wrong with you.

To be your best and achieve success, you are expected to overwork yourself. As a result, people are working harder and longer than ever before and are at a risk for burnout. However, working hard doesn’t mean that you have to ignore your health and well-being.

It's all about finding your own version of work-life balance. In order to effectively master life's stressors, it is imperative that you take care of yourself, whether that's in the form of yoga, exercising, reading, or meditation. Find what works best for you.

I prevent myself from ever falling into burnout because I have been practicing a morning ritual every day since I was 17 years old. When you take time every morning to honor yourself and spend time doing things that bring joy to your life, you feel more grounded and in control of your life.

Your health is your wealth. If you are proactive and make health a top priority on a consistent basis, it will ensure that you have more energy to devote to being hard-working and successful.

If you REALLY want to make money, stop doing these 7 things.

Making money is one thing, but if you want to create long-term wealth, you need to drop bad money mindset habits. In the words of Wayne Dyer, “Abundance isn't something that we acquire. It is something we tune into.” Are you ready to start attracting financial abundance into your life?

I want to share with you why you will fail (and what to do about it). Have you ever wondered why you aren't achieving your goals? It all comes down to your mindset.

In my opinion, there has been too much focus on teaching people how to set goals, and less attention on how to actually achieve them. Don't get me wrong. Setting goals is important, but a goal means nothing unless you actualize it.

When it comes to achieving their goals, unfortunately a lot of people end up hitting a roadblock, and their motivation comes to a standstill. This is referred to as a plateau.

At this point, it’s common for people to give up. This is why you will fail (and what to do about it). Are you ready to learn how you can commit to mastery and achieve the goals that you desire?

Oftentimes, when people encounter a plateau, they start to dabble, which starts a negative cycle of procrastination, discouragement, excuses, and laziness. This is why you will fail.

Eventually, this process is repeated and the cycle continues. I call this process the pyramid of pain, because that’s exactly what it creates. People stop believing in themselves because of the pain associated with their failures.

There is only one reason why you haven’t achieved your goals in life. You stopped – believing, trying, growing, learning, and taking action.

The difference between someone that is successful versus everyone else is that when things get tough, they don't stop. What do you do when you hit a plateau?

Everyone hits plateaus on the road to achieving their goals. It’s called life. However, the good news is that there are things that you can do in order to get past them quickly. Commitment is essential for achieving any goal in life, and the only way to achieve your goals is to commit to mastery.

Rather than seeing their goals through, a dabbler jumps from one thing to next, because they struggle with the shiny object syndrome. As a result, they never master anything in life. This is why you will fail! But committing to mastery is what you can do about it.

You don’t master something by reinventing the wheel. Rather, you learn and model the behavior of someone else who has achieved the same result that you are after. This is the best way to accelerate the process of achieving your goals.

The dabbler tends to give up when things get tough, because they don’t have access to resources that will allow them to break through the plateaus that are holding them back.

Alternatively, the master looks for a mentor or coach who can help them anticipate the plateaus that are going to occur so that they can take the necessary steps in order to avoid them.

Sure, you will still hit plateaus, but when you do, it won’t set you back to the beginning, because you will have someone there, helping to put you back on track.

Don’t be a dabbler. Commit to mastery. Be resourceful, learn from the best, and do something every day that moves you closer to what you want to achieve in life. Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back.

In the words of Napoleon Bonaparte, “Victory belongs to the most persevering.” Once you start moving towards your goal, don’t stop. It could mean the difference between success or failure.

Here is a sneak peak of my interview with Tatiana about how she went from $0 to $50,000 per month on Amazon at 23 years old:

For those people who have yet to watch our first video interview together, can you share a little bit about how you got started selling on Amazon?

I was working a 9-5 job and attending school, full-time when I decided to start an online business. I didn't have a lot of freedom at the time, and that became even more apparent when I started to date Stefan, who as you know, works from his laptop and has the ability to travel and work when he wants.

At the onset, I didn't want to start an online business selling on Amazon because I didn't think that I had the skills to do so. There are so many different ways to make money online, so I decided that I would give it a try. I started to sell a product and made some money doing so, but I wasn't passionate about it. Eventually, Stefan and I found a course called Amazing Selling Machine.

From that course, we learned how to build an online physical products business. From the first module of the ASM course, I was hooked. They shared testimonials from people who had been through the course and who had experienced massive success. I wouldn’t have been able to build a physical products business without this course.

What do you see as the biggest struggles that hold people back from starting an online business?

I think that people don't want to invest their money into a business, for fear that something will go wrong. Even if something does go wrong, learn from your mistakes so that you can improve your business over the long-term. People are also scared of quitting their job, but you don't have to, and I don't recommend it. Build your online business in your spare time until you build it up to a place where it is stable and can provide you with an income.

How has your life changed since starting your online business?

My goal with this business was to be able to quit my job and make enough money to live off of and build an online brand. I reinvest a lot of the money that I make so that I can grow my brand. Sure, I am now working a lot more hours than I ever was at my day job, but I enjoy it because it is something that I am passionate about. I'm not just working for a paycheck. Rather, I'm working to build an asset.

That's what is so great about the ASM event, is that you have a community of people that are on the same path as you that support you. Oftentimes, Amazon sellers aren’t as transparent about their success online, which is why the ASM community is so great. My life has changed dramatically since starting my online business, and it wasn't until I attended the ASM event and saw people that were doing phenomenally well selling on Amazon that my mindset shifted and I was determined to make it work.

What advice would you give to those people who want to take a leap of faith and build an online business on Amazon?

Open your mind to believing that anything is possible, work on yourself, find your passion, and take charge of your life. If this is what you want to do, just do it. Freedom has always been a motivating factor for me, and now that I have it, it has changed my life in so many ways. Before I had an online business, I was so time-restricted, but now I have the opportunity to do the things that I love every day. The more that your business grows, the more time that you will have.

I hope Tatiana’s story of success inspires you to take a leap of faith and start your own online business. This is how she went from $0 to $50,000 per month on Amazon at 23 years old.

What it’s REALY like to be a millionaire. Is this something you have ever thought about? Many people have an idealized notion of what it means to be a millionaire.

Just because someone is a millionaire, that doesn’t necessarily mean that their lifestyle aligns with their bank account.

Most successful millionaires do not live how you think they do. Not only that, but they set themselves apart from others by the skills that they have mastered; like confidence, discipline, emotional intelligence, and money management; to name a few.

Becoming a millionaire doesn’t happen overnight. I know that many of you have goals and aspirations of joining the ‘millionaire club’ one day, so I’m happy to share my story with you.

Are you ready to learn what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire? You may be surprised by what I have to say.

Since I was 17 years old, becoming a millionaire was a goal of mine. I became a millionaire when I was 28 years old. When I achieved the label of ‘millionaire', it didn’t mean that much to me, like I thought it would.

A more pivotal moment in my life was the point at which I was making a 6-figure salary. That is when my life transformed. I was able to travel, quit my 9-5 job, and I didn’t have to worry about money. I had finally achieved financial freedom.

This is what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire.

A lot of people get consumed with the idea of making ‘big’ money, fast. Adopting this get rich quick mentality can be a form of ego gratification or an insecurity.

When you are obsessed with making a lot of money, it is easy to lose sight of what really matters most in life – happiness. The fact is that money does not buy happiness.

Research shows that wealth may make it harder for you to appreciate simple pleasures in life, and that’s bad news for your mindset, given that most of life is made up of simple moments that have a lasting impact on our lives.

Michael Norton, co-author of the book, Happy Money: The Science of Happier Spending, suggests that, while this is all well and good, the simple pleasures in life don’t seem as exciting as the extraordinary ones.

However, he points out that you can shift this perspective by giving up a simple pleasure for a period of time, which will allow you to savor it even more when you bring it back into your life.

Oftentimes our favorite moments in life don’t involve extravagant things. Rather, they are simple things, like a conversation that left you laughing for hours with people that you love.

This is what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire.

As many of you know, I preach the value of life mastery. I believe that relationships, health, and positive emotions trump money. You can have all the money in the world, but still be depressed, lonely, and unhealthy. In my eyes, that’s not a definition of success. That’s failure.

I know that I said earlier that I don’t think that money can buy happiness, but there are some circumstances where I believe that it can.

Money allows you to travel the world and experience new and exciting things. Memories of places that I’ve gone and the people whom I’ve shared those experiences with have brought an abundance of joy and happiness to my life.

Money also allows you to invest in yourself. If you aren’t growing, you are dying. The more that you are progressing in life, the happier you will be. For example, I am able to purchase things like a PEMF EarthPulse mat for my bed, which improves my sleep, so that I can perform at my best, every day.

Lastly, one of the biggest things that money provides you with is time. When you leverage it correctly, you can use time to do more of what you really love.

To make a million dollars you need to become someone of value and develop incredible habits that translate to all areas of your life. That is what I am most proud of in my life. The money that I’ve made as a result of the work I’ve done is merely a secondary benefit.

This is what it’s REALLY like to be a millionaire.

Jim Rohn once said, “The greatest reward in becoming a millionaire is not the amount of money that you earn. It is the kind of person that you have to become to become a millionaire.”

Are you ready to upgrade your lifestyle? Be proactive and strive to become the best version of yourself. When you commit to life mastery, anything is possible.

How To Motivate Yourself For Success In Life https://projectlifemastery.com/motivate-yourself-for-success-in-life/ https://projectlifemastery.com/motivate-yourself-for-success-in-life/#respond Wed, 19 Jul 2017 00:30:43 +0000 http://projectlifemastery.com/?p=6521 Everything that we do in life requires motivation. The post How To Motivate Yourself For Success In Life appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

I would like to share with you how to motivate yourself for success in life. Everything that we do in life requires motivation. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to achieve anything.

According to the research of Dr. Anders Ericsson, motivation is the most significant predictor of success. Motivated people are determined to do whatever is necessary in order to achieve their goals. They possess a growth mindset, and their desire to succeed trumps any challenge that stands in their way.

It’s the small decisions that you make every day that matter most in life. From the moment that you wake up, make sure that you are engaging in actions that are aligned with your higher self. In the words of Jim Rohn, “Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.”

Are you ready to take your motivation to the next level and become all that you aspire to be?

People that are intrinsically motivated are pulled, rather than pushed towards new experiences that challenge them to learn and grow. They are driven by what makes them feel alive inside, regardless if there is a reward for doing so or not.

Alternatively, extrinsically motivated people are driven by external rewards, like money or praise. According to Daniel Pink’s research, extrinsic rewards, particularly “if-then” or “contingent” rewards (“if you do this, then you’ll get that”) do away with all self-motivation and creativity, regardless of task or age.

No matter how you look at it, internal motivation is a more sustainable strategy for long-term success in life.

We all strive for more motivation, but unfortunately many people fall short. They get stuck in a trap of focusing on their limitations, fears, and excuses of why they can’t do something. As a result, they make little progress towards their goals.

Your beliefs can either strengthen or weaken your motivation. It all comes down to your mindset. Those that possess a fixed mindset believe that if they fail to achieve their goals, it means that they aren’t good enough.

On the flip side, those who possess a growth mindset views failure as a natural, healthy component of personal growth and development. When you focus on what is good, you will attract good things into your life. When you master your mind, anything in possible. That is how to motivate yourself for success in life.

Motivation is your ‘why’; it is the driving force that determines the direction that your life will take. Everyone needs to have a purpose behind what they are doing.

If you have a strong enough ‘why', the how will take care of itself, and success will be yours for the taking. In essence, motivation is found when purpose manifests itself.

Take small steps every day towards the progress and achievement of your goals, and don’t forget to believe in yourself. Are you ready to motivate yourself for success in life? The world is waiting for you.

Motivational Speech for Success: Step out of Your Comfort Zone https://projectlifemastery.com/powerful-motivational-speech/ https://projectlifemastery.com/powerful-motivational-speech/#respond Tue, 18 Jul 2017 01:09:11 +0000 http://projectlifemastery.com/?p=6513 A comfort zone is safe, but predictable. The post Motivational Speech for Success: Step out of Your Comfort Zone appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

]]>

Today, I have a powerful motivational speech for you. If you want to achieve your goals and dreams in life, you need to wake up and go beyond your comfort zone.

We all have a zone of comfort, which is comprised of a consistent set of beliefs and behaviours that we’ve grown accustomed to. According to Alan Henry, the editor in chief of Lifehacker“Your comfort zone is neither a good or bad thing. It's a natural state that most people trend towards.”

When we live in a comfort zone, we feel safe, but the problem with this place is that nothing ever grows here. Life becomes predictable. If you don’t go beyond your comfort zone, you will never be able to become the person that you aspire to be. Growth and comfort do not co-exist.

It’s time to wake up and go beyond your comfort zone. In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, “Do one thing every day that scares you.” What would you do if you weren’t afraid?

Watch the video below:

(Click here to watch on YouTube)

At one point in my life, I was stuck in my comfort zone. I always knew that the life that I desired was possible, but I didn’t take action. I was distracted, I was a dabbler, and I was fearful.

In order to find some clarity, I decided to write a letter to my future self about my goals, dreams, and aspirations. In that letter, I asked myself:

“Stefan, what are you afraid of? I’m your hopes and goals. I wanted you as much as you wanted me, but you left me with no choice. I simply must move on. Please do not attempt to talk your way out of this. The years of indecision and lack of discipline tells me everything that I need to know. If you really wanted me, you would have found a way for us to be together. I’m so tired of seeing my hopes soar so high, just to see them dashed. I simply must move on.”

This was a letter that changed my life. It really opened me up to doing what was necessary in order to change my life. Sometimes you need to look in the mirror and have an honest conversation with yourself.

Unfortunately, a lot of people tell themselves stories about why they can’t do something, and these negative beliefs keep them stuck in a cycle of despair.

Someone once said that, “The naked truth is always better than the best-dressed lie.” If you want to change your life, you need to get real with yourself. The truth will set you free.

If you want to have more, you need to become more, which is why you need to put yourself in challenging circumstances and get out of your comfort zone. There is no better way to conquer your fears. To this day, I am constantly pushing my limits and engaging in actions that allow me to grow.

In the words of Eddie Harris Jr., “The sooner that you step away from your comfort zone, the sooner you will realize that it really wasn’t all that comfortable.” Everything that you want in life is on the other side of fear. It's time to wake up and go beyond your comfort zone. Are you ready?
