Are you frustrated with your lack of results in life? The root of your frustration can be traced to your mindset.

Your mindset is a powerful tool. It determines your success or lack thereof. A scarcity mindset is usually the culprit for people's inability to achieve their goals.

Instead of focusing on what you already have, a scarcity mindset forces you to ruminate on what you are lacking.

If you want to step into your power and become the person you've always wanted to be, you have to reprogram your limiting beliefs.

Sometimes that means hitting your emotional threshold before you're finally ready to change your life. If you've had enough and you're ready to shift your mindset, read this…

This is why you aren't getting the results you want.

It starts and ends with self-belief. If you want to achieve success at anything in life, you first have to believe that success is possible. Your mindset is comprised of your beliefs. These beliefs shape your thoughts and behaviors. If these beliefs are limiting, so too will your experiences of life.

What you believe will either empower or disempower you. The biggest difference between successful people and unsuccessful people isn't intelligence, opportunity, or resources. Rather, it's the belief that they can do, be, and have anything. If you've invested time and money into strategies for getting better results in life, but you are still coming up short, it's time to check-in with your mindset. You can have the best strategies and still not succeed if you have not mastered your mindset.

A lot of people take action on something but when they don't get the results that they hoped for, they give up. Instead of persevering, they jump from one thing to the next, constantly seeking out the next best thing that will make them successful. This creates a failure cycle where they end up going in circles but getting nowhere.

As a result, they shy away from new experiences because they are so afraid of failing again. Life will throw you curveballs. Things aren't always going to go as planned. Don't allow these moments to be the end all be all.

Everybody makes mistakes.

It's a part of being human. I make mistakes every day in my business. Failure is your greatest asset. It tells you what works and doesn't work so that you can improve and get better over time. Nobody likes to make mistakes. It causes people a lot of pain and suffering. I get it.

However, just because you fail at something doesn't mean that you're a failure. Research shows that failure makes your mind trick you into believing things that aren't true. This is why you must change your relationship with failure. Leverage your failure and use it as a tool for motivation.  This is what is known as failing forward.

When you can turn your mistakes into stepping stones for success, there is no limit to what you can achieve. I've achieved the success that I have today because I didn't give up when things got tough. When I couldn't find a way, I made the way. Don't be afraid to experiment in your business and your life. Failure is merely an experiment that didn't work out.

The more that you try new things, the more successful that you'll become. The world is constantly changing. If you don't stay one step ahead of the game, you will get left behind. This is why you must commit to self-mastery.

Self-mastery isn't about being perfect.

Rather, it's about committing to never-ending improvement. It's about adopting healthy habits and new ways of thinking, and conditioning them every day. Go deep and create a vision for the life that you want. If you can stay committed to the process of becoming the best version of yourself, the results will come naturally.

Are you ready to shift your mindset and start getting results in life?

Today is a brand new opportunity to start fresh. You are one decision away from a different life. Decide who you want to be and what you want to create for your future. Commit to shifting your mindset so that it works for you instead of against you. There is nothing you cannot achieve so long as you believe in yourself and trust the process.

Tony Robbins has mastered the art of planning.

Super successful people like Tony understand that time is their most valuable resource. You cannot get time back which is why you need to maximize it. Unfortunately, a lot of people get caught up in the “I'm too busy mindset” but still don't get anything accomplished. One of the main reasons why this happens is that they don't know how to plan their days effectively. The secret to being productive lies in choosing what to do and doing it right, instead of doing more and more.

Tony Robbins' Rapid Planning Method (RPM) is a simple system that teaches you how to plan your day and manage your time. The acronym RPM stands for results, purpose and massive action. This is a way of thinking for conditioning your brain to focus on the outcome and result that you're after. I'm going to walk you through his 5-step action plan for taking back control of your life.

Step 1: Capture

Before you go through the RPM process you want to capture everything that you need to do in a given day. Naturally, you may assume that this involves making a to-do list. A lot of people get overwhelmed by lists because they don't know how to chunk and organize them in an efficient way.

You want to take your list and ask yourself, “What are the results that I want to accomplish today?” You may not be aware of it, but a lot of tasks on your list may be related to one another. Once you determine what those are and chunk them together, now you want to clarify the outcomes.

My favorite way of engaging in this process is through using Evernote. This is a productivity app that you can download to any of your digital devices. This is how I plan my day. The app allows you to keep notes, projects, ideas, and daily inspirations and synchronizes them to all your digital devices.

Step 2: Create An RPM Plan

R – Result

A question to ask yourself – “What do I really want?”

When you are planning out your day, you need to have a solid understanding of the specific and measurable result that you want to achieve. If you don't have a solid target in mind, how are you supposed to know where you are going? Clarity is power. The more clear you are on what you want, the faster your brain will get you there.

P – Purpose

A question to ask yourself – “Why do I really want it?”

A lot of people aimlessly achieve throughout their day but don't have a reason for why they are doing what they do. You need to know why you want to achieve a specific result. Tony believes that if you have enough reasons to achieve something, you can get yourself to do anything. Your purpose is the fuel that drives you towards achieving something. The next time that you find yourself lacking in motivation, connect back with your purpose. In the words of Tony Robbins, “Activity without purpose is the drain of your life.”

M – Massive Action Plan

A question to ask yourself – “What is my massive action plan?”

Now that you know what your result is and you have a purpose for it, you need to determine what your massive action plan is. The Pareto Principle states that 20% of actions are responsible for 80% of a plan's effects. This means that 80% of your output comes from 20% of your work. When you know where to devote your efforts you increase your productivity and chances of success.

Step 3: Commit And Schedule

Now that you have the specific outcomes that you want to achieve throughout your day, you need to schedule the most important things first and commit to engaging in these activities. When you schedule something you commit to doing it.

I know that it is unrealistic to assume that I am going to accomplish everything on my list in a given today. This is why I like to get clear on my “must items” and put a star beside them. My “musts” are the 20% that is going to make 80% of the difference in my life. Anything that doesn't get accomplished is moved to the next day or next week.

Throughout this process, I am constantly re-adapting my result, reminding myself of what my purpose is, and reprioritizing what is the most important thing that I need to focus on next. Once I do this, I then look at my list and determine what I can delegate to someone else.

Step 4: Complete And Achieve

The secret to getting things done isn't just getting them done. Rather, it's knowing what your outcome and purpose are, and looking for how you can leverage your work as much as possible. You want to complete the most important, highest leverage activities on your list. Ideally, I like to accomplish 3-5 activities. This will help you achieve your goals much faster.

The process of leveraging is when you are working with someone to produce your desired result. In my business, my goal is to leverage as much as possible to other people. While others may be doing most of the work, I am still actively involved in the process.

I always make sure that the people who are helping me have a solid understanding of my desired outcome, my purpose for doing so, and the actions that need to be taken. Using the power of leverage is one of the most effective ways to get more done in less time.

Step 5: Celebrate

At the end of the day or week, you need to celebrate what you've accomplished, as small as it may be. You may not get everything done that you set out to do and that's okay. Focus on the progress that you made because whatever gets rewarded, gets repeated.

When you take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the magic moments of your day, it will create the momentum that you need in order to keep going.

This is how to plan your day like Tony Robbins.

I highly recommend that you integrate his Rapid Planning Method (RPM) into your daily life. RPM has allowed me to take my productivity to the next level and achieve results faster.

If you want to dive deeper into this method, Tony has an awesome audio program that I suggest you check out on his website called The Time of Your Life. This is a 10-day program that is designed to help you create more time to do what truly matters in your life. You will learn the strategies that Tony uses in order to maximize every minute of his day with his Rapid Planning Method (RPM).

I also recommend his RPM Life Management System Journal. This planner will guide you through the RPM process and help you develop the necessary resources so that you can integrate the massive action system into your everyday life.

When you know what you want, why you want it, and what you need to do in order to achieve it, it gives you a feeling of fulfillment that transfers to every area of your life.

Are you ready to master the art of planning so that you can take back control of your time and your life?

Do you know how to be consistent, so that you are making progress towards your goals, all the time? Let’s face it, consistency is the key ingredient for success in all areas of life. Without it, you won’t be able to master anything of value.

Sure, it’s easy to get sidetracked from time to time, but if you want to take your life to the next level, you need to learn how to be consistent. Although the concept of consistency is an easy one to grasp, a lot of people struggle with it.

If you find that you get distracted easily or aren’t getting the results that you want, you aren’t alone. According to research by the University of Scranton, 92 percent of people that set New Year's goals never actually achieve them. Why? Because they haven’t learned how to be consistent. I'm here to show you how.

The best way to learn how to be consistent is to get an accountability partner, whether that’s in the form of a coach, a mentor, or a mastermind group. I believe that this is one of the most effective ways to stay committed to your goals. Personally, it has been the best solution for maintaining lasting consistency in my life.

You get more out of yourself when you have other people holding you to a higher standard. Nobody wants to report back to their mentor or coach and say, “Hey, I didn’t do ANY of the things that you told me to do this week.” Letting someone down sucks. Knowing that you are accountable to someone else will motivate you to take massive action and up your game. This is the antidote for how to be consistent.

The American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) did a study on accountability and found that you have a 65% chance of completing a goal if you commit to someone. Furthermore, if you have a specific accountability appointment with a person that you’ve committed to, you will increase your chance of success by up to 95%. In short, accountability + consistency = massive success.

I recommend having an accountability trio, because if you only have a buddy, and one person isn’t doing well, than he/she will be easier on the other person. That third person helps to ensure that everyone stays on track.

Your environment is a powerful playing field. It can either help or hinder your success in life. When you find an empowering ecosystem of people who expect high standards from you, it will force you to consistently live up to those standards. Tony Robbins once said, “People's lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group. If your peer group doesn't expect much, it's just a matter of time before you lower your expectations of yourself.”

Nobody expects you to be perfect and to do it all on your own. Ask for help, but be strategic with regards to whom you ask for support. This is the secret to lasting consistency. The most successful people in the world have mastered consistency, and so can you. Make the conscious decision to remain consistent, no matter what.

In closing, the best way to do this is to leverage the power of accountability, in the form of a mastermind group, a coach, or a mentor. You will surprise yourself how much faster a support system can help to accelerate your progress. If you want to get notified of my upcoming events, click here!

It’s up to you to create the environment and the people that will challenge you to level up your life and crush your goals. This is how to be consistent in your life. If you take consistent actions, every day, I promise that you will see the results that you desire. Make the commitment to yourself. Why? Because you deserve success.

Do you want to learn my goal setting strategy for success? Setting goals is an important part of our everyday lives. At the end of the day, it is the only way that we get anything done.

The research is clear. People who set goals are more successful. However, if you don’t know how to set goals properly, it can have the opposite effect.

Unfortunately, a lot of people never achieve their goals. When they don’t see any progress, they get discouraged and give up. Sure enough, they feel like a failure for doing so which diminishes their desire to set any new goals in the future.

It all comes down to learning how to set goals properly, and I’m here to show you how. In the words of Tom Landry, “Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and sticking with that plan.”

Are you ready to learn my goal setting strategy that will help you crush your goals?

Before you can start setting goals, you need to understand the types of goals that exist. I believe that there are two types of goals:

Results-Oriented

It is important that you have goals that are focused towards a specific result, because ultimately a result is what you are after. However, I believe that focusing solely on the end result is a big mistake. In order to achieve the results that you desire, you need to pay attention to the process of getting there.

Process-Oriented

Process oriented-goals are little milestones that serve as signs of progress that you are on the right path. How do you expect to reach your destination if you don’t have a roadmap for getting there?

The reality is that you don’t have 100% control over whether or not you will achieve the result that you are after. You have influence, at best. All that you have control over is the process.

If you take a look at my 2017 monthly goals report you will see that I have results-oriented and process-oriented goals. The results goal that I set for myself in 2017 is to make $2 million in revenue in my business.

Keep in mind that I don't have 100% control over that result, but I do have control over the actions that I can take that will lead me to that end goal.

For example, some of my process-oriented goals for achieving my results-oriented goal were as follows:

Launch my Life Mastery Accelerator program

Launch my Online Business Mastery Accelerator program

Create my new PLM website

If you want to achieve true, lasting success in life, you need to focus on and enjoy the process. This is my goal setting strategy for success.

Whatever result that you have for yourself, you need to break it down into smaller chunks and celebrate your wins along the way. Oftentimes people are making progress, but they aren’t aware of it because they don’t take the time to enjoy the process.

Research supports this intuition, showing that people need to feel like they are making meaningful progress in their work. Celebrating wins is one way of doing so.

Every time that you achieve a process-oriented goal, celebrate yourself! When you do, you will be more likely to continue to make progress towards achieving the result that you desire.

When you shift your perspective and master the process, you improve yourself and move closer towards becoming the person that you desire to be.

In the words of Henry David Thoreau, “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.” Learn to enjoy the process and the person that you become on the road to crushing your goals.

I have exciting news! Amazon millionaire Ryan Moran is ready to teach you how to build a $10,000,000 online brand on Amazon. How would your life change if you made $10,000,000?

After I spoke at the Amazing Seller Summit event in Las Vegas earlier this year, I got to the opportunity to interview my good friend, Ryan Moran.

Ryan is the Founder of Capitalism.com, and the CEO and Host of Freedom Fast Lane, a podcast that helps high achievers build businesses and then invest the profits. You can also check him out on his YouTube channel.

Ryan has built and sold many successful online businesses. This Amazon millionaire reveals how to make $10,000,000 on Amazon.

To this day, he believes that the most predictable path that you can take in order to create a 7-figure business is by building a physical products brand.

Here is a sneak peek of my interview with Ryan Moran. This Amazon millionaire reveals how to make $10,000,000 on Amazon:

Can you share a little bit about your story? How did you get started, and how did you get to where you are today?

When I was 15 years old, I heard my Mom in the other room crying because I had broken the washing machine. This baffled me. I worked at Dunkin Donuts at the time and I knew that I could just take the money from the tip jar and pay for the washing machine. From that day forward, I decided that I never wanted to have that type of life.

One of my customers at Dunkin Donuts gave me a copy of the book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What The Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!. In that book I learned one thing – that rich people acquire assets. I started my first business in college. I did affiliate marketing, which is where I made my first $100,000 and then my first $1,000,000. Ultimately, I wanted to get to the point where I was building something that was mine, rather than someone else’s. Five years ago, I took the skill-set that I learned as an affiliate marketer and started to build physical products brands.

Why do you think that Amazon is such a great opportunity for someone that is brand new and that wants to build an online business?

I don’t. A lot of people think that Amazon is “the way.” It’s a tool to get whatever it is that you believe in, out to the world. You can get married to an opportunity, but it still requires you define who you are going to be and what your business is going to be about.

Amazon is the best opportunity that I’ve seen for being a vehicle for making that real. Have you ever heard of the “be, do, have” breakdown? It asks, “Who do you want to be, what do you want to do, and what do you want to have?” There is an order to that, but most people start with what it is that they want to have. Let’s say it's making $10,000 per month. In my opinion, the fastest way to make that money is to say, “Who do I want to be, who do I want to be around, what is my business going to be about, and what can I do within that business?”

Can you share what the benefits are of building a brand?

I’ve sold my brands for millions of dollars and that was because I had an online brand instead of a bunch of random products. A brand can sell the exact same product for twice as much because it is a brand, and people will choose that because they believe or identify with it. One is sellable and one is always going to be price-sensitive and review-sensitive.

The reason why most people don’t build a brand is because it takes more thought. People want to be told what to do, rather than put a stake in the ground and say, “This is what I’m going to be about.” The Amazon formula is helpful once you know who you are going to be.

What do you think are the biggest mistakes that people make when starting a business?

The biggest mistake that people make is that they think short-term. I always take the approach, “What do I want my business to look like 5-10 years from now?” If I have that as my guiding light, I’m wiling to navigate the bumps along the way.

If your strategy is that you want to hustle your way to achieve your first X, and you run into a roadblock, there is a high chance that you will quit, if you don’t have something pulling you through that. I won’t start any project that I am not willing to commit at least one year to.

What is your advice for someone that wants to start an online business?

The habits that you practice over a long period of time are what get are going to get you the results that you desire. One of the best books I’ve ever read is called, The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success and Happiness, by Jeff Olsen. It’s main thesis is that the results that we get in our lives don’t come from big leaps, but by the constant habits that create big leaps. You need to swing and miss a lot in order to hit that home run. I have swung and missed many times, but most people only see my home runs. I was willing to suck until I didn’t suck anymore. Entrepreneurs are the best shot that we have at creating change in the world. Start a business and take control of your life.

Let’s talk about online marketing 101: The first rule you MUST know when marketing online.

Online marketing is imperative to the success of an online business. Someone once said, “Ignoring online marketing is like opening a business but not telling anyone.” This statement could not be more true.

It’s no longer a question of “Should I do online marketing?”, but rather, “How do I make sure that I do it effectively?”

With the large amount of information that is available online, consumers have become savvy researchers, who actively engage with content in order to influence their buying decisions.

Research shows that 94% of consumers have done their research online, and have become familiar with your products or services, before they even connect with you.

Are you ready to learn the first rule you MUST know when marketing online? You are one click away from discovering the secret to creating a successful online marketing campaign!

Let’s dive into the basics of online marketing 101. The end goal of any business is to convert traffic into sales. If you aren’t selling your products or services, your business won't survive.

There are countless ways of getting traffic online, whether that’s from Google, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, guest posting, press releases, or elsewhere.

Once you attract people to you, you want to direct them to a sales page, which promotes the product or service that you are offering. A campaign like this is most effective if the product that you are selling is less than $100.

In terms of pricing your product, it will depend on the niche or market that you are in. If it’s business or marketing, and it’s around a topic that helps people achieve a certain result, you can charge more.

However, it can be challenging to charge more than $100 in other niches, like health, fitness, or self-development, because the product or service isn’t targeted around a specific result. Whether or not your traffic will convert, and who will buy, is dependent on two factors.

The quality of the traffic

There are three different kinds of traffic – cold, warm, and hot. Cold traffic involves somebody who doesn’t even know who you are. Given that the trust hasn’t been developed yet, they haven’t warmed up to you or your product.

Warm traffic is someone who has already consumed some of your content. They recognize your brand and they have received value from you. Hot traffic is someone who has already purchased something from you or has consumed so much of your content that they are really eager to buy.

This is why I’m a big fan of value-added marketing, which involves adding value, upfront, in the form of free videos, articles, a podcast, a guide, or other forms of content. Adding value is one of the most important strategies that you can utilize in order to acquire and retain more customers, increase awareness of your brand, and differentiate yourself from your competitors.

Bob Hooey said it best – “If you aren't taking care of your customer, your competitor will.” Adding value is what turns people from cold, to warm, to hot, which will then make them more inclined to buy one of your products or services.

The quality of the sales page

The quality of the sales page comes down to the actual offer and the product itself. Do people perceive your product as valuable? Is it worth the cost? Is it adding more value than what you are charging?

In my experience, if you have quality traffic, then regardless of your sales page people are going to buy from you. The buying process will be even smoother if you already have followers and subscribers on your email list. In this case, you can simply direct them to your sales page because trust has already been established.

They have already decided that there is value in following you; so buying is an easy decision for them to make. The reality is that people do business with people that they know, like, trust and value. You could have the best product on the market, but if you aren’t generating leads, your business won’t grow.

The ability to convert traffic into sales is the first rule you MUST know when marketing online. If you can master this rule, you will master your online business.

I would like to share 3 benefits of minimalism that extend to all areas of life. Through life's ups and downs, it is important that we remember to take the time to enjoy the simple things in life. We need to be grateful for what we have, and focus on finding meaning in our lives.

Life is meant to be enjoyed, not filled with stress and frustration. Minimalism is a state of being, a simple approach to life, that can help us do more with less.  In the words of Vernon Howard, “You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.”

That is why I wanted to invite Will Chou, the founder of Will You Laugh, a self-development blog that focuses on the secrets to success, to write a guest post to talk about 3 benefits of minimalism that extend to all areas of life.

Take it away, Will!

When I first discovered minimalism, I was a mess of a person and I thought it was stupid. But everything has changed now.  To explain my change of opinion, we have to go back to the beginning. When I first discovered minimalism, I really wanted to travel the world for a living.

At the time, I was disillusioned with my career paths and confused about my future. I was struggling to find work I could enjoy and the job opportunities that I was offered, sucked. To put it simply, like many Millennials, I had chosen a tough college major that I loved (pre-med Biology) but realized too late that it wasn’t my passion (after graduation).

My days of despair led me to seek escapism on the Internet. I discovered a large group of online bloggers that had a huge following and who called themselves, “travel hackers.”

Essentially, they would travel to exotic places for a living and make their living by “hacking life.” They were able to achieve a level of financial freedom that most people would envy. At first, I wasn't sold on this whole idea of minimalism, but that soon changed. Today, I want to share with you the three benefits of minimalism that extend to all areas of life:

1. You Will Stay Organized and Clean

I had always been a messy person. Despite my best efforts to stay clean, my room would quickly morph into a mess of junk. To put it simply, the more items you have, the more opportunity it is for it to make you feel and appear messy.

When you only have a couple of items on your desk, it’s never going to look that messy no matter how long you delay cleaning it up. It’s shocking how few people understand or use this habit. Nowadays, I have applied this minimalist philosophy to every area of my life.

2. You Will Achieve More By Working Less

A lot of people make the mistake of approaching their daily to-do list with a reactive state of mind. They take on too many tasks on a daily basis, many of which are unimportant. When they look back at what they have accomplished, they are surprised by their lack of progress.

A solution is a form of minimalism called essentialism. The concept is simple. Focus on one to three tasks per day. Make sure they are the most important tasks that will make the biggest impact on the accomplishment of your goals. If you do this right, you will realize that you’re doing less work but getting more results by prioritizing and cutting out the unnecessary.

3. You Feel Happier and Less Stressed

Not so long ago, I was frustrated with my progress, both professionally and personally. I didn’t have quality friends, I wasn't earning much, and I was lost and without direction in my dating life.

It was confusing because I had always worked super hard in school and “done the right things.” After doing a lot of research on success, happy people, and the science of happiness, I came up with a simple mantra that has helped me a lot. It goes something like, “As long as I have air, water, food, a healthy mind, and a healthy body, I am happy.”

This mantra reminds me to lead a simple, happy life. By living this philosophy, I have become a much happier, more relaxed, and lighter person.

I Am Not A Minimalist And I Don’t Want You To Be.

Wait, what? After all, I have said, I’m now revealing that I’m not a minimalist, I don’t intend to be one. Why? I can't say that I would be happy with living a lifestyle of extreme minimalism, and that’s OK. What I love about some minimalist influencers out there is that they’re not telling you to become a minimalist.

Rather, they are encouraging that you adopt the minimalist practices that work for you. That’s where I stand. I will be rich one day and I will buy expensive experiences, but the items and services I do buy will be fewer than the average person, and they will be focused on memorable experiences, rather than a desire to hold onto possession.

It’s important not to swing from one extreme perspective (“Everything you buy has value so you should hoard it.”) to the other (“Nothing has value so get rid of it all.”). The truth lies closer to the middle.

Do you want to learn about the 5 areas of life where persistence pays off? If you want to master all areas of your life, you need to understand the value of persistence. However, it's not enough to know something. Life mastery requires that you actually live it, every day.

If you want to achieve anything in life it will require that you possess a killer combination of sheer willpower, determination, and desire.

When it comes to personal development and dating, I understand how important it is for men to develop the communication and confidence skills that are necessary in order to attract a partner into their lives.

When I was 21 years old I started a dating coaching business, that was designed to help men overcome the confidence challenges that I had faced in my own life.

That is why I wanted to invite Eddy Baller, a men's personal development and dating coach, to write a guest post to talk about 5 areas of life where persistence pays off.

Take it away Eddy!

I want to share with you 5 areas of life where persistence pays off. How many of us have embarked on a new journey to accomplish something big, only to become disillusioned and quit when it didn’t work out?

The human mind is notoriously bad at making time predictions for complicated goals. Even showing up on time seems to be a challenge for some people. “I have time, I’ll just finish a few emails…”

The biggest challenges in life usually require a lot of time, and it’s hard to predict how much time. The key ingredient which separates the cream of the crop is persistence – the raw determination and grit that comes from sticking to your goals.

Here are 5 areas of life where persistence pays off:

1. Dating

Anyone who’s ever gone on dates can attest to the fact that dating isn’t always easy. If you’re interested in finding the love of your life, it means going through a lot of ‘candidates’. Shyness and social anxiety can become a serious handicap for someone when it comes to dating.

Being successful in the dating world requires a number of skills, some of which include, learning how to approach women or men, conversational skills, body language, confidence, assertiveness, boundary setting, and more.

If you want to find a partner that is right for you, it will require persistence, in addition to mastering the above skills.

Action step: Get a dating coach or connect with someone who seems to have their dating life together. Learn how they’ve created an abundant love life and emulate their best practices.

2. Relationships

Dating skills are just the first part of our romantic journeys. Once we’ve found a long-term partner, we need a new tool box to keep the romance alive.

A lot of dating skills still apply; confidence, body language, boundaries to name a few, but now we have to learn how to share our space, grow together, and keep it exciting in the bedroom.

It also requires paying attention to our partner's communication style and learning their habits, so that we can avoid unnecessary clashes. This shows that we really understand them.

Action step: Dedicate at least one night per week as a ‘date night’. It’s too easy to get caught up in the business of life and family. Put aside time for a quality get together so that your bond continues to grow.

3. Business

Building a business is tough. There are a myriad of setbacks that are designed to test your ability to persist, which include lack of know how, lack of resources, not having the right people when you need them, bootstrapping, and more.

For those who stay in the fight, the turning point shows up as a change in focus, experience, and a new direction, which may not have been clear in the beginning stages.

Action step: Invest in business and marketing training. Too many people try winging it and end up quitting when it doesn’t work.

4. Mindset

At the age of 20, I was an extremely negative person and all of my friends were negative too. Every day I played the same record in my head. It was always, “people suck”, “rich people suck”, “everything is expensive”, “the weather is no good”, and on and on.

I became tired of my own attitude and wanted to change. I knew that if I kept hanging out with the same people I wouldn't be able to grow. So I decided to start from scratch and distance myself from my old friends.

I set out to learn better social skills to make friends, meet women, and change my mindset. It took years to make serious progress, but the alternative was unthinkable.

Action step: To create a more positive mindset, work on reframing negative thoughts on a daily basis. Just look for the positive angle to the thought you were in the middle of. Do this daily and soon you will start thinking in a different way.

5. Emotions (EQ)

Emotional intelligence, or EQ, has a huge effect on our social success. It allows us to read other people's feelings, understand ourselves, and communicate effectively. People that have a low EQ have weak connections with others.

On the other hand, people with a strong EQ have healthier friendships, romances, and business relationships. When you learn how to master your emotions, you master your life.

Action step: Start by learning more about your own habits and emotions. How do you react to different situations? What happens to your body language when you’re feeling positive or negative emotions?

These are 5 areas of life where persistence pays off! What is one area of your life where persistence has paid off for you? Comment below and let me know!

I want to talk with you about when to upgrade your lifestyle. To upgrade means to raise who you are and what you do to a higher standard.

Dreaming is great, but at the end of the day, it’s the decisions you make that determine your success, health, well-being, love, and happiness in life. The more decisions that you make, the more in control of your destiny you will be.

Look back on your life to date and think about all of the decisions that you’ve made that have led you to where you are today.

If you are currently struggling in life, it is because of the choices that you have made. Stop playing the blame game. You need to take responsibility for your life. You have the power to create your own reality.

I would like to answer a question that a fan named Regina recently asked me on Snapchat. She asked:

“What should I do if I want to change my life? My mother thinks I’m crazy for wanting expensive things that I cannot afford. I feel like a dabbler, but I don’t want to be one.”

Regina, first and foremost, it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help, so I commend you for being vulnerable and sharing your story.

One of the most important decisions that you will ever make is the decision to live well below your means, which means spending less than what you earn. Don’t upgrade your lifestyle if you can’t afford it.

The reason why a lot of millionaires are so successful is that they have ascribed to this way of life. They have made a series of strategic and smart decisions, with regards to their finances.

How do you expect to pay for a lifestyle that you haven’t yet earned? Financial freedom and success takes a lot of hard work, commitment, consistency, and sacrifice. It requires that you add value and create impact in the world. Strive for that, above anything else.

Upgrade your lifestyle only when you are worthy and deserving of it. At that point, you can celebrate and reward yourself.

Rather than wonder how you can upgrade your lifestyle, ask yourself this question: “What actions do I need to take in order to have what I want most in life?” Whether that’s starting a business, saving money, getting a promotion, or proving your worth.

When I was 18 years old I remember reading the book, The Wealthy Barber: Updated 3rd Edition: Everyone's Commonsense Guide to Becoming Financially Independent, which taught me about compounding, putting money aside, investing in mutual funds, etc.

I just put into action what the book told me to do. If people applied what they learned, they would get the results that they desired.

Don’t be a dabbler. Commit to mastery.

A lot of people make short-term decisions and neglect the long-term consequences. These people are known as dabblers. They start something, but they never finish it.

They think short-term, and expect instant gratification, without having to put in the work. If you operate this way, I guarantee that you will always make poor decisions in life.

I never make impulsive decisions. If anything, I’m more conservative with the decisions that I make. Sure, I take risks here and there, but for the most part, I’m hyper-aware of how I choose to spend the money that I have.

I used to live in a small apartment in downtown Vancouver and at that time, I was doing a lot of online marketing and was doing pretty well financially. In 2012 I was making $100,000/year, but you didn’t see it based on my quality of life because I was saving and investing my money.

I always focus on achieving specific milestones before I upgrade my life. It may be once I’ve saved a certain amount of money or reached a certain level of my investment portfolio.

I am continuously striving to upgrade my lifestyle, but I do so in small increments. When I master one level, I strive for the next. In doing so, I am constantly making improvements in my life and my business, which allows me to achieve and become more.

Always keep your ultimate vision for your life in mind when you make decisions. I have been able to achieve so much success in my life because I am always focusing on my future.

Regina, I challenge you to sit down and write out your vision and goals for your life, because that is what is going to determine the actions that you take, like whether or not you go to school, start a business, or get a coach.

You also need to determine what your core life values are. Dig deep and ask yourself questions. Above all, commit to investing and learning.

That is the best way to discover who you are and what is most important to you. It will give you the clarity that you need in order to make good decisions in life.

Regina, the best way to upgrade your lifestyle, is to downsize it. If you take this route, you will achieve success faster. I know that this sounds counterintuitive, but it’s true. Set goals, believe in yourself, keep growing, and take action.

In the words of Napoleon, “Action is the true measure of intelligence.” You have your whole future in front of you. Make the right decisions now, and you will set yourself up for success for the rest of your life.
