It is imperative that you have an unshakeable belief and faith in yourself. Anybody can make the invisible, visible if they believe it is possible. However, a lot of people are stuck in a negative cycle of limiting beliefs. Trust me, I've been down this road.

I used to hold a lot of limiting beliefs about who I was as a person. From an early age, we can be negatively influenced by our parents, social media, or society to believe that we aren't good enough. As a result, we develop negative thought patterns that hold us back in life.

The good news is that we have the power to change our beliefs. I believe that belief and faith are two of the most overlooked superpowers. Without them, we can't take action to achieve our goals.

Without belief and faith, many of the world's greatest inventions would never have existed.

Do you think any of the most successful people in this world, like Steve Jobs or Oprah Winfrey, lack belief in themselves? Absolutely not. As many of you know, I am addicted to personal growth and development. I study and learn from these people. What I have found is that they all possess an unwavering belief in their ability to succeed.

There is a famous saying that reads, “When you see it, you believe it.”

This is far from true. When you believe in yourself, then you will be able to visualize what it is that you want to create. Everything that you desire in life starts in your mind – a thought, an idea or a goal – that excites you so much so that you pursue it.

In his book, Psycho-Cybernetics, Maxwell Maltz reveals that negative habits can be changed. In his own words, “The ‘self-image' is the key to human personality and human behavior. Change the self-image and you change the personality and the behavior.” 

Belief and faith are choices. When we take responsibility for our lives, we are accountable for the principles that we live by. With this line of thinking, if we have control of our beliefs, then that means we have the power to create our worlds. From this place, anything is possible.

I believe that faith is the ultimate belief.

Belief and faith are closely related but are not the same. A belief is something a person perceives is true, whereas faith is a matter of trust that inevitably leads to action. Faith is about trusting the process of life, and knowing that everything is unfolding exactly as it should.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't have faith that they can create a better tomorrow. As Tony Robbins once said, “Your past does not equal your future”, so it's time to stop living there!

Just because you failed in the past, whether that was in the form of a failed relationship or business venture, doesn't mean that the same bad things are going to happen again. I believe that life lessons are designed to make us grow and evolve. I don't let failures define who I am or dictate where I am going to go in my life.

Let's explore 8 strategies for how to develop unshakeable belief and faith in yourself.

1. Commit To A New Way Of Thinking

The past is over. You can't go back and change anything. However, you can empower yourself to commit to a new way of thinking, believing, and acting. If your belief and faith in yourself are limiting, acknowledge those feelings, thank them for showing up, and then do the work to move through them.

The power of choice is a beautiful thing. Today you can choose to move beyond anything and everything that no longer serves your highest self. How would your life change if you knew that you could do and be anything that your heart desired? Feel into that.

2. Uncover The Root Cause Of Your Limiting Beliefs 

We all have limiting beliefs that hold us back from success. Are your beliefs limiting you? If so, you are not alone. I know how debilitating limiting beliefs can be. For years I struggled with a belief that I wasn't good enough.

There was a time in my life where I was broke, unhappy, extremely shy, and alone. In order to make a change in my life, I had to hit rock bottom. That is when I decided to recondition my mindset to focus on the good. When I made this shift, my belief and faith in my abilities skyrocketed.

How did I do this?

The best way to crush your limiting beliefs is by getting to the root cause. Look back to your childhood. What were you conditioned to believe about yourself and why? Once you start figuring out the answers to these questions, then you can begin the process of undermining your limiting beliefs with evidence that shows that they aren't true!

I hate to break it to you, but the only person in your way is you. Don't be a victim of your false beliefs. They don't have to control your life. It's your choice.

3. Be Kind To Yourself 

We all know that our minds can be our friend or our foe. Developing the resilience that it takes in order to develop belief and faith in yourself takes time. Be kind to yourself. Change doesn't happen overnight.

Reconditioning old ways of thinking is a process. If you are looking for a short-term fix, you are going to be looking for a long time. When you have a good day, celebrate yourself!

Go to the spa, buy something nice, or treat yourself to a beautiful dinner. What gets rewarded, gets repeated. That includes empowering thoughts.

4. Drop Negative Self-Talk

Words are powerful. Be more aware of how you speak to yourself on a daily basis. Do you wake up in the morning and tell yourself that you capable of success, or does your monkey mind take over and point out all of the reasons why you aren't where you should be in life?

Coulds, woulds, and shoulds are the killers of dreams. Negative thinking fosters negative emotions, like anxiety and worry. In this place, it's easy to lose belief and faith in ourselves. Discipline yourself to think positively, even if it doesn't feel natural at first.

5. Create A Morning Ritual 

Many of you who follow me know what a big believer I am in the power of rituals. I’ve been doing them since I was 17 years old.

I can confidently say that a morning ritual changed my life. I used to struggle with shyness, social anxiety, and depression. By engaging in positive habits every day, I was able to create a belief and faith in my abilities that I could have never received from a book, a course, or a seminar.

Did I see results overnight? Absolutely not. It takes time to get rid of bad habits.

If you want to build habits that last a lifetime, you need to practice them consistently. In the words of Tony Robbins, “The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.”

Positive affirmations are a great way to kickstart your confidence for the day ahead. I encourage you to integrate them into your morning routine and watch your beliefs shift. They are a great way to reprogram your mindset for positivity.

If you don't wake up every day feeling happy, energized, and confident, it's time to make a change. A morning ritual is an answer.

6. Embrace Failure 

If you want to have belief and faith in yourself, you need to embrace failure, knowing that it is OK to fall. When we fail, it's easy to fall into a trap of thinking that we aren't worthy of achieving success. Wrong. Don't ever allow failure to hold you back from accomplishing your goals.

Failure is a normal part of life. I've failed thousands of times in my business. However, that doesn't mean that failure feels good. It can bring up a lot of limiting beliefs in people. When challenges arise, you need to shift your mindset and have belief and faith that you can keep going.

What matters more is that you learn from your mistakes. Find opportunities amidst failure, so that you come back more knowledgeable and stronger than ever before.

An MRI study by the University of Southern California found that having the opportunity to learn from failure can turn it into a positive experience IF the brain has a chance to learn from its mistakes.

The only thing that differentiates a successful person from one who fails is grit, otherwise known as a perseverance and passion for achieving one's goals.

7. Create An Action Plan

Belief and faith in yourself is an achievable goal only if you set up an action plan. Tailor your plan to fit your values and needs. It's all about learning how to fall in love with the process of becoming.

Building belief and faith in yourself is a never-ending journey that you need to develop and work on. Learn how to enjoy the ride.

When you are able to design a plan that supports your new beliefs, success is yours for the taking! If you need some help making sense of how you can put your plan into action, seek out the guidance of a coach or mentor.

8. Ignore The Noise From Others

Sometimes it can be hard to believe in ourselves when we don't have support from others. You need to have an unwavering belief and faith in your journey, no matter what anyone else says to you.

Don’t allow anyone to ever have that much power and control over your life. At the end of the day, it's your life. We all have different journeys in life. All that matters is that you stay committed to your vision.

Having belief and faith in yourself is the first step to creating positive, lasting change in your life.

When you have belief and faith that you can achieve anything in this world, you become unstoppable. If you change your belief about what you are capable of, limits will no longer exist. Whether you think you can or can't, you're right.

I hope I have inspired you to tap into your potential as a human being. Don't ever let your fears and insecurities define who you are. If your mind slips back into limitations, don't beat yourself up. Just get back up, keep building up your belief and faith, and find your calling in life.

As Aaron Sorkin says, “Act as if ye have faith, and faith shall be given to you. To put it another way, fake it till you make it.” What would you do if you weren't afraid? When you harness the power of belief and faith, fear is no longer a part of your vocabulary.

A lot of people ask me whether their goals should be unrealistic or realistic. When it comes to this debate, there are many different schools of thought.

I have applied both type of goals in my own life and I have found a goal setting formula that works best for me, which I want to share with you.

When it comes to goal setting, I believe that you need to set both unrealistic and realistic goals.

Realistic goals are those that you know you can achieve. On the flip side, unrealistic goals are the ones that you dream about. They are long-term in their scope and connected to your larger vision.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of people set unrealistic goals in a short-time frame, like wanting to lose 30 pounds in 10 days or making $1 million in less than one year. If this is your mindset, you are setting yourself up for failure.

When you feel like a failure, it causes pain, which results in you not wanting to set more goals in the future.

You should never be in a situation where you are not achieving your goals. That is telling me that you are doing something wrong, either with your process or if the goal that you set for yourself is too unrealistic.

If you keep coming up short with your goals, that’s your way of telling your brain, ”I’ve failed so many times, what is the point of even setting goals?” I believe that this is detrimental to your success because it leads to self-sabotage and learned helplessness.

When I set goals for myself, they are goals that I know and believe that i can achieve. In fact, most of my goals are inevitable, because I’m already making progressing in crushing them.

I want to share with you my goal setting formula that has allowed me to achieve so much success in life. I learned this process along time ago when I was studying the Law of Attraction.

With every goal that you set for yourself, there has to be a formula for it. I want you to take out one of your goals and assess it, using this goal setting formula:

Desire

When you build a strong desire to achieve your goals, you generate momentum to take massive action.

Whatever goal you set, on a scale from 1-10, you want your level of desire to be a 7 or above. If it’s less than a 7, than you need a new goal.

Belief

Belief is what inspires people to keep moving forward towards the achievement of their goals.

You need to believe that you can achieve your goal. It also has to be a 7 or above. For example, you may have a desire to make $1,000,000 a year, but if you have never made $50,000 a year your level of belief may be a 1 or 2. If it’s that low, this is not a good goal. You need to find your sweet spot.

If you take a look at my monthly goals reports, I achieve about 80-90% of the goals that I set for myself. Do your goals hit this sweet spot?

I don't set unrealistic goals that are beyond what I think I believe that I can achieve. I’m not taking big leaps. Rather, I’m focusing on making progress, month after month, and year after year. This is the goal setting formula that works for me.

Don’t buy into the get rich quick, unrealistic goal way of thinking that is obsessed with immediate results and instant gratification. Rather, when it comes to achieving your goals, strive to be consistent and always have a forward-thinking mindset. I believe that being slow and steady always wins the race.

In the words of Confucius, “It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop.” Take small steps every day towards achieving your goals, and don’t forget to celebrate yourself along the way. Doing so will give you more confidence and motivation to keep growing and setting bigger goals in the future.

Even when you start making a certain amount of money and become financially free, it won’t be enough. You will always be looking for the next best thing.

The chase will never make you happy, which is why you need to become less attached to the final outcome and enjoy the process of success. That is where the real growth lies.

4. Focus on Contribution

Take a moment and think about how lucky you are to be able to do what you love. Having an appreciation for your accomplishments carries more meaning when you are able to give back and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

At the end of the day, contribution is the ultimate reward in life. I believe that we are all here to give and contribute something, beyond ourselves. Not only does it give you a sense of lasting fulfillment, but it also serves to accelerate your success at a much faster pace.

In the words of Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”

5. Don’t Be Afraid Of Failure

If you have experienced failure in the past, great! Failure is a normal part of the learning process of life. Thank your failures for the lessons and then let them go.

Accept and learn from your past, but don’t live there, because it doesn’t dictate your future in any way unless you allow it to. If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you will get what you’ve always gotten.

It’s easy to feel shitty when things don’t go your way, but if you want to truly succeed as an entrepreneur you have to use pain as motivation, and develop the mindset and the willpower to keep pushing despite the obstacles that stand in your way.

Use failure as a tool for growth and change. It has the ability to propel you forward and prepare you for what lies ahead.

I would like to share with you 5 ways to break bad habits. You are what you repeatedly do every day. If you allow bad habits to take over your life, they have the power to dramatically hinder your journey towards success.

In his book, The Habit Change Workbook: How To Break Bad Habits and Form Good Ones, James Claiborn describes a bad habit as, “Learned, almost automatic thoughts or behaviours that have become somehow problematic in our lives.”

Some of you may be wondering, “Why is it so difficult to break bad habits?” By nature, we are creatures of habit. Our brains work on a trigger and reward basis – the so-called “habit loop” – which means that it is easy to slip into a routine and difficult to fight back when the undesired behaviour occurs. Another words, it can take time for the brain to adapt to new ways of doing things.

In the words of Warren Buffett, “Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” How are your bad habits holding you back in life? It's time to change your life for the better.

Below are 5 ways to break bad habits:

1. Be aware that you have a bad habit

If you want to change a bad habit, you need to become aware that it actually exists. Start monitoring your bad habits and get to know the frequency and circumstances wherein which you tend to engage in these behaviours.

2. Understand what triggers your bad habit

Step back and take a look at the triggers that cause you to engage in a bad habit in the first place. When you are equipped with this information, it is easier to know what actions you need to take in order to change your life.

The best way to avoid encountering a bad habit in the future is to remove yourself from environments that trigger it from occurring. For example, if you smoke when you drink, don't go to a bar. In the words of Robert Kiyosaki, “One of the best ways to make changes in your life is to change your environment. This then changes you.”

3. Replace A Bad Habit with a Good Habit

Todd Herman, the Founder of The Peak Group, argues that when you’re breaking old habits, your cells get overwhelmed with new information that they aren't used to, and your body begins to resist the changes.

In order to lessen the blow when this occurs, choose a substitute for your bad habit. Plan ahead. For example, what will you do if you get the urge to smoke? Perhaps you could do pranayama breathing exercises instead. Focus on slowly building new habits into your daily routine.

4. Set Realistic Goals

Your bad habits have been in your life for a long time. Breaking them altogether won't happen overnight. Rather than dive in head first, set realistic goals and implement small changes to your daily routine.

When you do so, it will be easier for those good habits to stick, long-term. If you push yourself too hard, you will become overwhelmed. Start slow and make a plan.

5. Be Kind To Yourself

Change can be difficult, so don't get down on yourself if you revert back to your old habits now and then. As long as you don't stay there, that's all that matters. Don't ever be afraid of making mistakes.

They are merely proof that you are trying. Forgive yourself and keep moving forward. Steve Kamb said it best, “When you screw up, skip a workout, eat bad foods, or sleep in, it doesn't make you a bad person. It makes you human. Welcome to the club.”

“Warren Buffett has become one hell of a better investor since the day I met him, and so have I. If we had been frozen at any given stage, with the knowledge we had, the record would have been much worse than it is, so the game is to keep learning.”

If you want to become the best that you can be, you need to adopt the mindset of a lifelong learner. I attribute most of my success in life to my love of learning. It has brought so much joy to my life, and it has allowed me to grow and evolve my online business at a much greater speed. If you look at my May 2017 Monthly Goals Report, you will see how much I invest in myself.

Who I am today is vastly different from the person that I was many years ago. I was a shy, depressed, insecure teenager who was broke and struggling, BUT I was committed to investing in myself.

If I wanted to master all areas of my life, I knew that I had to stop doing what I had always done. I found mentors, read books, attended seminars, went to workshops, and created networking events, all with the purpose of learning. I realized that what one man can do, another man can do.

Finally, Warren Buffett also believes in the power of investing in an index fund, otherwise known as a type of mutual fund with a portfolio constructed to match or track the components of a market index, such as the Standard & Poor's 500 Index (S&P 500).

From a historical standpoint, the stock market has always gone up, no matter what is going on in the world. The beauty of index funds is that they allow you to own 500 of the biggest companies in the U.S. There is no better way to create a simple plan for building your retirement savings.

How much time and money do you invest in yourself? The reality is that the more you learn, the more you earn. When asked to reflect on Warren’s success, Charlie Munger said, “Warren is one of the best learning machines on this earth. The turtles who outrun the hares are learning machines. If you stop learning in this world, the world rushes right by you.”

I would like to share with you 3 mindset mistakes to avoid when starting an online business. There is nothing more exciting than making the choice to start an online business, however a large % of people crash and burn. Research shows that more than 90% of all Internet business start-ups end in failure within the first 120 days (Patel, 2015).

In order to maximize your chances of success, you need to be aware of the common mistakes that people make that end up killing their online business dreams. Once you master these common misconceptions, you boost your chances of being one of the 10% of people that do succeed. The choice is yours.  In the words of Debbie Auger, “Before you can master your business or your life, you must first master your mindset.”

Get Rich Quick

Some people believe that you can get rich quick, or are sold or marketed to believe this is true.  Every aspiring entrepreneur is inspired to make money fast so that they can have financial freedom.  However, if you want to achieve massive success in your online business you need to put in the hard work.  Success doesn’t happen overnight. Being an online entrepreneur can be a difficult road in the beginning stages.  A lot of people adopt the belief that if they take short cuts, they will make money faster. This is far from true. Doing so will only cost you down the road.

Sure, a lot of people are able to make decent amounts of money rather quickly, but these businesses don’t last. Soon thereafter these people are onto their next business venture because they didn’t invest the time and energy into building their business over the long-term. They become dabblers. Don’t you want to build a business that stands the test of time? If so, you need to invest in yourself and your success.

The reality is that if you build a business on a faulty foundation, it will fail. In the words of John D. Rockefeller, “If your only goal is to become rich, you will never achieve it.” You need to learn to enjoy the process and not be so attached to the outcome.

If I Build It, They Will Come

Some online entrepreneurs have the belief that if they simply build a website, customers will magically appear and buy their products or services. Guess again. In the current digital age, competition is high. Millions of other businesses are fighting for the top spot in the search engines. According to Google, 97% of consumers use the web to search for local businesses (Holden, 2013).

If people can't find you online, what is the point? Having a strong online presence is a critical component of your marketing strategy. One of the most powerful ways to attract more traffic to your website is through creating valuable content that adds massive value to peoples’ lives. This is what has allowed me to build a 7 figure online business. In the words of Tony Robbins, “If you add the value, you will become the brand. Find a way to add more value than anyone else does.”

Failure is Final

Failure is a reality of life, and a normal part of the learning process when you are starting an online business. Successful entrepreneurs understand that failure is one of the most important educational tools at their disposal. Behind every success story in business, is a challenge or a failure that was overcome. If you want to have an online business, you have to take risks; it allows you to experiment with what works and what doesn’t.

Oftentimes your greatest failures become steppingstones to success. Take it from me. I’ve failed multiple times in my business, but I have conditioned my mind to view those challenges as opportunities to grow, learn, and take my business to the next level. The master is one who has failed more times than the beginner has even tried. If you want to achieve success in your business, you need to fail more.

A 2017 report by Mu Sigma shows that failing fast and often is the best approach and the key to success in many areas of business. The Mu Sigma researchers define this in their analysis as “the power of extreme experimentation”, claiming that science can demonstrate that failure drives forward innovation. This research is proof that failure may be one of your most important assets in your online business.

Take it from Michael Jordan, who said, “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

These are 3 mindset mistakes to avoid when starting an online business. If you want to be successful in business and in life, you need to cultivate a mastery mindset. Shift your mindset and watch your business grow exponentially. Mastery is the only path worth taking.

The book is based on the principle of replacing negative thinking with strengthening thoughts in order to build confidence. In the words of Abraham-Hicks, “You are the creator of your own reality because you are the chooser of the thought right now”. The next step is to state your goals in a positive way, by saying, “I am successful”, and then to visualize yourself as already having achieved your goals.

When I state my goals or intentions out loud, it gives me confidence and motivation. Hundreds of academic papers have been published studying the health effects of expecting good things to happen, which researchers call “dispositional optimism” (Villarica, 2012).

There was a point in my life when negative thoughts created a reality that was not supporting my growth and development. When I was 17 years old, I decided to change the direction of my life and I committed to mastery. I conditioned my mind for success by dropping my limiting beliefs. When you think, “Im a failure”, this energy will attract its likeness, and so you will attract negative experiences.

Alternatively, when you think high-vibrational thoughts like, “I’m successful”, you exude confidence, which will attract opportunities into your life. When you start to visualize what you want in your life, you begin to see the possibility of achieving it.

Tony Robbins said it best – “Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in life”. Visualize your results and you WILL SUCCEED.

What is the one quality that all successful people have in common? They have unshakable confidence.

Confident people don't spend time wondering if they are going to be successful. They know that success is inevitable. They have an incredible amount of belief and certainty in themselves and their abilities.

I have been successful in multiple areas of my life because I made it a priority to cultivate confidence within myself every day.

You have to believe that you can make anything happen, no matter what obstacles or barriers may stand in your way. Always remember that your perceptions shape your reality.

If you adopt the mindset that anything is possible, you will be unstoppable.

Brian Tracy once said, “confidence is a habit that can be developed by acting as if you already had the confidence you desire to have.”

By consciously taking specific actions, like having a daily morning ritual or investing in yourself by way of a training program, a coach or a mentor, you can train your mind to behave more confidently.

If you want to be successful, you need to work harder on yourself more than anything else. Nothing will work unless you work.

You need to believe in your potential and act on it. Confidence is just an emotional state. It is up to you to make that state a reality!

Hey everyone, this is Stefan from projectlifemastery.com. In this video, I want to talk to you about confidence, having confidence in yourself, having confidence in the process, having confidence in your business, having confidence in a goal, a result, a dream, and vision. Whatever it is that you want to pursue in your life, you have to have confidence. You have to have belief. You have to have certainty in yourself and the belief that you can make anything happen.

Whatever it is, no matter what the obstacles, no matter what the barriers, no matter what it is, you have to believe in yourself that you can make it happen. You have to believe in yourself that you can be successful, that you can achieve the goal or the result that you're after, but you also have to have belief and confidence in the process, in the journey, in the business, in the opportunity, in the goal, and in the vision that you have.

If you have this incredible vision where you want to make millions of dollars, you want to live on the beach, and you want to travel the world, you have to actually believe that that's possible for yourself. To take it a step further, don't just have that belief, but also have the conviction that that will be a reality for you one day. You might not even know how, but if you have that belief and you have that faith in yourself that you will be able to make it happen, and that anything is possible for yourself.

Faith means that you believe when there's no reason to believe at all

You have to have faith, and oftentimes, having faith means that you believe when there's no reason to believe at all. I've been getting emails from people and working with people, and I see so much lack of confidence, a lack of belief. They're not even really sure that they're going to be successful. They're not even sure whether or not they can.  They've got the training and they've got everything step-by-step, but they don't even believe in themselves that they can actually implement it.

They don't believe in themselves that they can create their business and have success. If you don't even believe in yourself, I don't know what to say. There's no hope for you, because nothing will work unless you work, right? If you know certain people out there, everything they touch turns to gold.  Everything that they pursue, they're successful at, and the reason for that is because of them, their belief and their confidence in themself.

If you look at the most successful people in history, the top achievers in the world, the top athletes, the top celebrities, the top 1% of anything, they all have an incredible amount of confidence, belief, and certainty within themselves that translates to every other aspect of their life.

For myself, I've been able to be successful in multiple areas of my life, not just financially and in my business, but I also made an incredible change and transformation in myself for dating and attracting people in my life, for meeting and approaching random strangers, to become a confident public speaker, to be able to transform my body and do two fitness shows called the WBFF and transform my body, get up on stage and do fitness modeling.

I've been able to transfer that confidence to different aspects of my life and be successful in multiple areas. That's all because of the confidence that I've been able to cultivate within myself. You need to have that. You need to condition that every day. How do you develop it? There's a few ways I can share with you.  A few things that work for me.

Morning rituals as the driving force in my life

Number one, you have heard me say this again and again, but I've been doing morning rituals since I was 17 years old.  I contribute morning rituals to being the driving force in shaping my life. Because it's what you do every single day, how you condition yourself daily that shapes who you are, not something that you just do once in a while. You can't just go to a seminar once in a while and expect your life to change for the better. You need to have a daily practice, a daily ritual of conditioning and shaping who you want to be.

If you want to transform your body, it's not like you can just go to the gym for a weekend and expect your body to be transformed for the rest of your life. You have to condition every day. You've got to work out and build that muscle. That's what a morning ritual is.  I take that time every single day no matter what since I was 17 years old to condition my mind, my body, and my spirit to shape and create who I am.

What you see before you right now is the result of daily conditioning and having that morning ritual. Every morning, today was no exception, I woke up, I got on my rebounder. I was jumping up and down. I'm conditioning myself through affirmations, through asking myself questions, through feeding my mind, reading and learning. That gives you an incredible sense of confidence. It makes you believe that anything is possible.

I have certain affirmations where every single day I say to myself, “I Stefan, see, know, hear, and feel that I am confident, that I am determined, that I am unstoppable,” and when you say that to yourself every day with intensity, with emotion like you really mean it, then you take that on as a belief system. You carry that power, that energy within yourself, and you believe it. Whatever you say to yourself enough times, again and again with repetition and emotional intensity, you will believe, right?

How else do you think you believed all the negative stuff that you have in your head anyways? It's because you conditioned that again and again. You kept saying to yourself over and over again that you're not good enough, that you're a failure, or someone else said that to you. Maybe you had a parent, maybe you had a family member or a bully or whatever that every day or frequently was saying that you're not good enough or nothing was ever good enough, and so you don't have any confidence.

Even though when you're younger you don't really have control over the influences in your life, at the stage of life you're in right now, you have full control and you can reprogram and recondition yourself to be whoever you want to be. Having that morning ritual every day where I condition my mind and speak out loud what I want, who I want to become, who I am, and what I stand for, that's an incredible way to shape my belief systems.

Model and adopt the physiology of successful people

Also, you have to understand that confidence and certainty are just an emotional state and that you can put yourself in that state at any moment that you choose. Right now in this moment, you could stand the way you would stand if you're totally confident.

You can change your physiology. You could put a look in your eyes. You could breathe fully. You can model and adopt the physiology of other people that are successful and confident just by modeling, just by faking it until you make it. The truth is, when you fake it, you have made it, because that moment that you change your physiology, you're going to feel more confident and just be more aware of your emotional state. You can change your confidence just through visualization, by visualizing the result that you want.

A really great book for that is called “Psycho-Cybernetics: A New Way to Get More Living Out of Life“. It basically teaches you how the top athletes envision themselves every single moment making that shot or being successful or winning the trophy or achieving the result or the goal that they're after. The more that you see it in your mind, the more it becomes real for you, then the more certainty that you have.

You could develop your confidence just by reading every day, reading these incredible stories of those people that went from zero to hero, from rags to riches. I've read Sam Walton's book, “Made In America“, the founder of Walmart. I've read Jeff Bezos's, “The Everything Store”. I've read all these incredible biographies and these self-help books, and when I do that, what happens is I'm taking on the beliefs and the positive message of the authors and the people in these books.

I take that on myself and I start to believe it. When you see enough role models, enough examples of people that became successful, then you start to believe that you can be successful as well. That's an incredible way. Also, there are videos and interviews that I provide here on my YouTube channel of other people that built up successful online businesses, and that provide a role model and a reference for you, that if all these other people have been able to do it, then you can as well, right?

You've got to start now and you build that as you go

The more references that you have, the stronger that your belief will be. That's a great way to condition and build that confidence, that certainty within yourself, is by having rituals like this – reading, feeding your mind, and also investing in yourself. That's why I'm huge on learning and improving myself, because when I invest in training when I go to a seminar, or when I have a coach or a mentor, they give me confidence, right?

Right now, you might feel lost, like you don't know what to do. You don't feel like you have any confidence in yourself, but if you actually have a step-by-step program, a training that can guide you from A to Z, that thousands of other people have already been through before, and have gotten results with, that you're learning for someone that created it that has the results that you want, than that gives you a huge edge and a huge advantage.

You don't have to worry about competition and all that sort of stuff because you believe in yourself and you believe in the process. Whenever people say, “Oh, I'm worried about competition. I'm worried about saturation.” What they're really saying is they are lacking confidence. A confident person doesn't have any fears or worries about that, right? They just have belief in themselves. They believe that no matter what it is they pursue or go after, they're going to be successful at no matter what.

I see so many of these fear-based questions that people have.  It's like, if you don't have confidence, what can I tell you? How are you going to make anything work in your life? You've got to develop that, and if you don't have to develop that person, then pursue it because often times people use that as an excuse. They say, “Well, I don't have the confidence right now, so I'm going to develop that first, and then I'm going to start a business.” No, you've got to start now and you build that as you go.

Another great way of doing that is by achieving your goals. That's why I'm a big fan of setting these little micro goals, these monthly or weekly goals, that when you set a goal, you achieve it. It's an attainable, realistic goal for yourself. When you achieve it, you get confidence. You get references. You start to believe, “Wow, you know what? I set something on my mind and it was just an invisible thought, and then I made it real. I turned invisible into the visible”.

I turned something that was in my head to reality

When you do that, it's like, “Oh my God, I created that. Now, what else can I create?” You set the next goal and you achieve that. You see, most people set these crazy unrealistic goals that they never achieve. Sure enough, they just keep bailing again and again because their goals are like, “I want to make a million dollars,” and they never even made a dollar online.  Sure enough, they don't achieve that goal, and so they don't feel good about themselves. Their self-esteem goes lower.

The confidence goes down, and then soon enough it's like every other goal you set.  You're not going to believe you're going to be able to make happen because you kept failing time and time again. That's why I say to people, your first goal is to make $1 online in your online business. You achieve that, you get confidence from that, and then the next goal, you make $100, and you get confidence from that. Then $200, you get confidence from that. You slowly build it up, instead of just setting these crazy unrealistic goals that you have a 99.9% chance of failing to achieve. Don't get me wrong.

It's great to have those goals, but those are the long-term vision goals that you have 5 years or 10 years from now, right? Where the short-term ones are the ones that you are just trying to set yourself up to win, to build that confidence within yourself. All of these are different ways to build that confidence, but in a lot of cases, you've just got to believe. You just got to have that faith. Whenever you catch yourself operating from fear, you've got to be able to cut that off and say, “No, I will make this happen. I will be successful. I'll find a way. If I can't find a way, I make the way.”

You've got to have that belief in yourself, and that's something you just got to decide to have. You've got to cut off that weak limiting factor, that fear, because that's not really you. That's not who you are. That's just a part of yourself that wants to survive and be safe and protect yourself. You're capable of so much more, and you have incredible potential, you've just got to believe in that potential and act on it. That's it.

Create a practice. Create a ritual. Do all of the things you've got to do to invest in yourself, to help get that confidence and belief, but you've got to be developing that and work harder on yourself than on anything else. Work harder on yourself than on your business, on your job, on your goal, whatever it is.  Develop that confidence and certainty as you're pursuing your goals, because, at the end of the day, that's what's going to make the difference between success and failure, is that confidence, that belief that you have in yourself. I'm in Machu Picchu, Peru and it's one of the most breathtaking views that I've ever experienced in my life.  Being here has been a powerful experience for me, as it's really blown my reality of what human being are truly capable of.  The idea that I'm at a place that was built in the 1400's without any machinery or tools that we have today is astounding, especially since Machu Picchu is around 2000 meters above sea level.

Visiting Machu Picchu was a reminder to me of the power of belief and faith.  It made me think about and realize that without belief and faith, we wouldn't be able to experience most of what we do today.  We get to enjoy electricity today and drive automobiles and fly in airplanes, simply because OTHER PEOPLE had incredible visions and had 100% belief and faith behind those visions.  With that belief in their vision, they turned it into a reality.

Any goal or vision you want to manifest in your life requires 100% belief and absolute faith.  You have to BELIEVE it's going to happen, before making it happen.  Some people say, “When I see it, I will believe it”, and I can't tell you how much that is bullshit!  The truth and reality is, “When you BELIEVE IT, you will SEE IT.”  It all starts with your belief first.

Without belief in your goal or vision, you have no reason to take any action.  You will be immobilized – stagnant.  No long-term progress is possible without your belief.

How do you get that belief?

There are many ways.

For me, personally, I have so many references and experiences from the past, that they give me a lot of confidence and belief in myself that I can make anything happen.  I've built successful businesses, I've transformed my body and competed in fitness competitions, and I've faced a lot of fears and challenges in my life.  Because I've reached many other goals in the past, I BELIEVE and have FAITH that I can make my current goals a reality.  I've built up a proven track-record of success.

Another way is that I look for role models and people that have already achieved the goals that I want.  I read biographies and get around others that are successful.  What that does for me is it gives me the belief that it is POSSIBLE.  I think to myself, “If they can do it, I can too.”  A great example of this is Roger Banister, the first man who ran the 4 minute mile.  The moment he achieved that goal, dozens of other people achieved it because they now had that belief that it was possible. Today high school kids can run a 4 minute mile, despite the fact that it was once an “impossible” goal to be achieved in the past.

I also envision my goals daily.  I visualize and see myself having lived and achieved that goal, as if it's already happened.  I learned this from the book Psychocybernetics by Maxwell Maltz.  This is something that all great professional athletes and peak performers do.  They have already won the championship thousands of times in their head, which gives them the certainty and belief that they can make it happen.

And finally, I put myself in a STATE each and every morning to be unstoppable and believe that I can make anything happen.  This is something that is illustrated in my morning ritual video.  I make sure that I walk, move, breathe, and speak with absolute certainty and never doubt myself.  In this state, when obstacles show up, you break through them.  Nothing can stop you when you DECIDE to put yourself in the state necessary to achieve your goals – and this is also something that all great athletes and performers do before any big game or event.

Ultimately, you have to have FAITH – just trusting completely that things will work out the way you want.  And more often than not, it does.  With that faith, you will take that first step and keep taking action, despite the fact you may not be seeing results.  But because you believe so much, you're not discouraged and keep taking action.  With this mindset, you will turn your wildest dreams into a reality.
