Are you curious about how I've been able to successfully grow my business using Fiverr?

Inside this blog, I explore 7 of the best Fiverr gigs that will help make your life easier.

Fiverr is an online marketplace where you can find freelancers from all over the world who offer a variety of services.

As an entrepreneur, you need to wear many different hats in your business. I know all too well how overwhelming this can be. By outsourcing tasks, you have more time to work on your business instead of in it.

If you're ready to find great Fiverr gigs that will help you move your business forward, keep reading…

Fiverr makes life easier for entrepreneurs.

One of the biggest mistakes that a lot of entrepreneurs face when growing their businesses is that they try to do everything themselves. From personal experience, this is the fastest way to burnout. Understand that you can't do everything by yourself, nor should you.

Successful business owners maximize their strengths and talents and hire people who are better at fulfilling the objectives they are weakest in. If you want to grow your business the right way, I encourage you to outsource your tedious, everyday tasks.

Some of these things may include answering emails, scheduling, research, and development, content writing, or graphic design. Yes, you could learn these skills on your own, but you've only got so much time in the day to work on your business. Outsourcing saves you time, energy, and money. You only want to focus on learning high-income generating skills.

On Fiverr, you can search for literally any task that you want to outsource to a freelancer. Some of the most popular services to outsource include web and mobile design, voice-over, WordPress setup, logo design, and dropshipping.

One thing that I love about Fiverr is that you're able to see how many reviews someone has. When you're outsourcing this gives you a level of certainty that you can expect something of quality. Every freelancer will charge a different rate for their services, based on their skills and number of reviews.

I've been using Fiverr for many years now. Below are the 7 best Fiverr gigs that I've paid for that have helped me grow my business.

1. Protecting your brand with a U.S. Trademark application

In my business, I own a lot of different trademarks for different brand names that I have and use. I used to be able to file a trademark myself through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. However, they've changed the rules.

Today, you have to be a U.S. resident to be able to file your trademark. If you live outside of the U.S., which I do, you have to hire a trademark attorney to do it for you. I decided to hire a trademark attorney via Fiverr.

It cost me $300 and the lawyer that I hired delivered my trademark application in 7 days. This route was a lot cheaper than if I had found an attorney elsewhere.

2. Designing an eye-catching eBook or Kindle cover

You can hire high-quality designers on Fiverr to design a book cover fairly inexpensively. When I'm preparing to publish a book, I'll hire three different people to design the same cover for me.

This will allow me to determine who designs the cover that I like the most. It may cost me $30-40 total for the three covers, but it's worth it. I can test the covers on different platforms to see which one converts the best.

When it comes to designing a book cover, you don't want to be stingy. People judge your book based on the cover. It is the first thing that people see so you want it to be enticing. Make sure that you have an engaging title, clear text, a professional font, and a good choice of colors.

3. Formatting a Kindle, eBook, or paperback book

Formatting a book is a very tedious task. It requires a lot of trial and error until you finally get it right. When it comes to people reading your book, first impressions are everything.

The last thing that you want is bad reviews as a result of a book formatting issue. There are so many better things that you can be doing in your business that can make you more money.

4. Designing a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation

Putting together a high-quality PowerPoint can be a lot of work. Whenever I'm giving a speech I like to hire someone who can convert my presentation notes into a PowerPoint.

Outsourcing a task like this allows me to focus solely on my talk instead of worrying about the design component of the presentation.

5. Sharing your site to SEO bookmark sites

Getting bookmarks is beneficial for SEO so that your content and website rank better in the search results.

Be mindful that there are some blackhat gigs on Fiverr that can get you into trouble, especially when it comes to SEO. If someone is using illegal software or blasting your website with thousands of unnatural backlinks, it can hurt your website.

Do your research and make sure that a freelancer is using whitehat SEO, meaning any practice that improves your search rankings on a search engine results page, while maintaining the integrity of your website and staying within the search engines' terms of service.

6. Writing a press release

Creating a press release is a great way to build your brand's reputation or get media attention for a new product or service that you want to promote.

A press release can be very time-consuming to write. Hence, this is why it's great to leave this task to a content writer who specializes in helping businesses and entrepreneurs grow their brands.

7. Paying Instagram influencers to do a shout-out for you

Shout-outs are a smart influencer marketing strategy. This is a totally legit service. It doesn't involve buying followers. Basically, it's like getting promoted by a top Instagram user.

You can find people who have 500,000+ Instagram followers and pay them $5 or more to make a story about your content and tag your handle.

This is a great way to increase your following, boost your engagement, grow your brand, and inevitably make more money selling whatever it is that you're offering.

These are the 7 best Fiverr gigs for building your business.

Fiverr is an amazing platform that helps you save time and money. Experiment with different gigs and find what works best for you and your business. When you get your mindset around this new way of delegating and working, there is no limit to how successful you can be.

Building an online business is your ticket to financial freedom.

The advent of the Internet has been the greatest breakthrough and advantage of our lifetime. Thanks to the Internet, making money from the comfort of your home is possible. Once you know how to tap into the abundant opportunities that exist online, there is no limit to how much money you can make.

This is why we are seeing a trend towards younger people getting richer faster. A new report shows that 93% of millennial millionaires have a net wealth between approximately $1 million and $2.5 million. These numbers prove that anything is possible if you leverage the Internet in the right way.

At the of the day, getting rich starts and ends with your mindset and your beliefs around money. According to Steve Siebold, who is a self-made millionaire, “Getting rich begins with the way you think and what you believe about making money.” Do you believe that you deserve to be wealthy?

Becoming a multi-millionaire or billionaire doesn't happen because of luck. It takes self-belief, hard work, and tenacity to succeed. Mark Zuckerberg's story is a testament to this. He built his brand, Facebook, from his dorm room and dropped out of college to become one of the richest men in the world.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it… building a business is hard work. If you don't like hard work, you may want to rethink becoming an entrepreneur. Your business never sleeps. It is constantly moving, which means so do you. The more time, energy, and hard work you are willing to invest in building your business, the more money you will make and the greater impact you will have. An online business can truly change your life.

I've been an online entrepreneur for 10 years now.

I've worked with thousands of people, who have been through my courses or whom I've worked with 1:1 in my workshops and seminars. There have been people who have gone on to succeed and those who have gone on to fail. Unfortunately, more have failed. These people wanted success only if it was easy and convenient. This isn't how success works.

Successful people aren't special. Rather, they are just willing to do what others won't. How bad do you want it? When you want success as bad as you want to breathe, you know you're ready. It's about becoming the creator of your destiny and refusing to settle for anything less than what you deserve. What is your purpose for building an online business?

More importantly, what is the consequence of not living a purpose-driven life? The alternative should terrify you and create a lot of pain. For me, it was working a 9 to 5 job doing work that I hated for the rest of my life and never being able to get out of debt.

For a lot of entrepreneurs, their why connects back to their desire for freedom.

When you know what is driving you, you will be less likely to quit when things get tough. You cannot treat your business like a hobby. If you don't take your business seriously, you won't see results. A lot of people build their online business part-time, while they are still working their 9 to 5 jobs.

If this is you, make sure that you focus on your online business equally as much, if not more, than your current job. Yes, your current job provides for you, but your online business is what is going to help you create the financial freedom that you desire.

Over the next decade, the number of people who will have access to the Internet is expected to increase to 7.5 billion people. No matter what online business you decide to pursue, you are guaranteed to benefit from the sheer number of new consumers who will be buying online.

Don't wait to start an online business. Your time is now!

Building an online business isn't for everyone. It's hard work to build something from scratch, especially if you don't have any previous business experience. However, it's a journey that is worth embarking on.

Along your journey, you will be forced to grow and evolve beyond your current state of being, to overcome your limiting beliefs and fears, and start taking massive action.

The world is waiting for your gifts. Don't let the economy dictate your financial future. It's time to show yourself and the world who you are and what you have to offer.

If you've been struggling to come up with a brand name for your business, I'm here to help you.

Your brand is your reputation. It communicates who you are and what you stand for. More importantly, it tells your customers what your business promises to deliver.

Did you know that 77% of customers make purchasing decisions based exclusively on the name of a company? This proves that the name you choose for your brand is critical to the success of your business.

In the words of Jeff Bezos, “Your brand is what other people say about you when you're not in the room.” In short, your brand name is everything, so let's make it something that people won't forget.

If you want to know eight criteria for choosing a great brand name, keep reading!

A brand name can make or break your business.

This is why I recommend that you do your due diligence and take the necessary steps to establish a great name. The last thing that you want to do is invest time, money, and energy into building a business around a name that someone else is already using.

Moreover, ineffective branding can turn people off, so much so that they forget what your brand represents altogether. Research shows that 51 percent of consumers will automatically unfollow a brand that does something they dislike, and 27 percent will block or report them as spam. This is why building and maintaining a positive brand reputation from the onset is so important. Let's talk about eight criteria for choosing a great brand name.

1. Be Memorable

You want people to remember your brand name, in such a way that they associate meaning to it. This is why it's important to do research to understand who your target audience is. Think of your brand as a representation of what you have to offer them. Also, you want your name to be easy to understand, spell, and pronounce. These factors will give you a huge competitive advantage from the get-go.

2. Define Your Brand Identity

When people hear your brand name, you instantly want them to know what your brand represents. Using keywords that are relevant to your target audience will spark curiosity, making people interested in learning more about what you have to offer.

Here are some examples of great brand names – App Empire, Strength Camp, and Campfire Guitar Star. The moment you hear these names, you immediately get a sense of what these companies are about. What do you want your brand to say and how do you want people to feel when they experience it? People become emotionally connected to a brand when it stands for something that is important to them.

3. Decide To Self-Brand or Establish A Company Brand

A question that I get asked a lot is whether or not people should build a brand around their personal name or a company brand name. Those of you who follow me know that I chose the alternative route. Instead of using my name, Stefan James, I chose to build a brand called Project Life Mastery.

The reason why I decided to go with a company brand is that I didn't want to build a business that was only dependent on me. If I decide to bring in other influencers, coaches, or speakers to educate my audience, under my brand, I can do so. Also, if I want to sell my business one day, there is an option for me to do that.

People are more likely to buy a brand name versus one that is purely dependent on someone's personal name. The decision that you make will depend on the long-term vision that you have for your business. If you decide to use a personal brand name, I suggest that you change your name slightly, if it's one that will be difficult for people to remember, pronounce or spell.

4. Create An Emotional Connection

A brand is a name that people recognize and associate emotions with. Your brand identity is comprised of what your brand represents, what your values are, and how you want people to feel. I encourage you to take out a journal and write down whatever words come up for you that you associate with your brand.

Those words will help determine what your brand name will be. When I was brainstorming ideas for my brand, Project Life Mastery, these words spoke to me – inspirational, motivation, success, mastery, transparency, and freedom. As I've built my brand and created content with my audience, people have come to associate these feelings and emotions to my brand.

5. Research Your Competition

Make a list and analyze your competitors' brand names. These brands will be operating in the same target market as yours. Type in keywords that are related to your business and make a list of those company names as well. I recommend taking the words that your competitors are using and adding them to your list.

I would also make a list of whatever words resonate with you. Go to Thesaurus.com and explore other variations of a word that you could use as part of your brand name. When I originally thought about Project Life Mastery, I loved the concept of mastery.

Since 2012, I have made it my mission to continually improve every area of my life. That's what I call Life Mastery. Years ago, I read the book, The Game by Neil Strauss. Inside his book, he talked about a self-development house he created called Project Hollywood. This is where a bunch of guys lived together for the purpose of improving their dating and social skills.

In my early 20's I started my own self-development house called Project Vancouver. The concept of life mastery can feel intimidating for people. However, the word, project depicts life mastery as a journey that one embarks upon, which is both tangible and possible. This is why I decided to integrate that word into my brand name.

6. Get the dot com version of your brand name

When people think of a brand name, they usually google the dot-com version. If someone owns the dot-com version of the brand name you are considering, you could encounter problems down the road.

Let's say that you decide to settle on a dot-net version. As you grow your brand, a lot of your audience members will automatically go to the dot-com version of your brand name. In turn, you will probably end up losing some of your audience members and customers.

Ideally, you want to own the dot-com version of your brand name, as well as the dot-net, the dot-org, and the dot-ca so that others can't take them.

7. Do A Trademark Availability Search

I encourage you to research the availability of your brand name ideas to ensure that nobody else has already trademarked them. We all have the ability to trademark our brand name in any country. If you choose a brand name and later find out that someone else owns the rights to it, you will be violating a trademark.

This becomes a huge pain. Someone can file a cease and desist letter and force you to stop using the name. Even worse, they could sue you. On top of that, you will be forced to re-brand which will confuse your customers and audience. If you live in the U.S., you can do a trademark search or file for a brand name trademark on The United States Patent and Trademark Office website. Other countries will have their own trademark website.

Keep in mind that you don't need to own a trademark right away. If you're just starting out and don't have any followers or customers yet, there's not much to protect. Filing a trademark costs money. I recommend trademarking once you've built up your brand to the point that it needs protection.

8. Create a Brand Logo

You can create a logo inexpensively at Fiverr. Alternatively, you can go to 99Designs where you can get logos, graphics, images, or artwork done for your business.

Also, I suggest that you set up social media pages for your brand name on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. Reserve the name and get your accounts set up, even if you don't use the pages. Doing so gives your brand name an added level of protection.

This is how to come up with a great brand name for your business.

Your brand name is the face of your business. It represents who you are and what your business stands for. Instead of choosing a brand name based on what you like, consider the eight criteria that I spoke about above. If you do, I trust that you will be able to build a successful brand and business.

Have you been trying to figure out how to get traffic to your website?

A big mistake that a lot of business owners make is that they believe that if they build something, people will come.

Hence, they invest a lot of time, energy and focus, and money into creating a great product or service, without recognizing that this is only half the battle.

As a business owner, trust me when I say that the Field of Dreams motto does not apply in the world of business.

I want to help you generate more traffic and grow your business the right way. Keep reading to discover how.

Traffic creates website visibility.

If you want to have a successful online business, the first thing that you need is traffic. Web traffic is measured in visits and is a common way to measure online business effectiveness at attracting an audience. This is a big pain point for a lot of business owners.

The challenge is that the eCommerce industry has become an oversaturated market. Everyone is vying for attention online.  How do you expect to stand out if nobody knows how to find you online? This is why you must become a master at marketing your products and services. The more traffic that you get, the more money that you will make. The question is, “How do you do this?”

I am going to walk you through the steps of how to get traffic to your website and sell your products. Keep in mind that this information applies to any business model. The first thing that you need to know is that there are three different types of traffic – cold, warm and hot.

Not all traffic is equal.

Each visitor is a human being. They will be in a different state of mind when they visit your website. Depending on where they are at, your traffic will convert differently when they get in front of your product or service.

Cold traffic is someone who doesn't know who you are yet. They've never heard of your brand or seen your face before. If you get in front of cold people, it will be difficult for you to convert them.

Warm traffic already knows who you are. Maybe they've followed you online and have heard of your product or service before. Thus, when you get in front of them, it will be easier to convert them into customers.

Hot traffic is people who are ready to buy. They are raving fans. Ideally, you want to warm people up and get them to the point where they are “hot.” When you can do this, your job will be so much easier.

Interruption Marketing

Interruption marketing is a model of product promotion where you are interrupting people online. Essentially, the goal of this type of marketing is to capture the attention of anyone and everyone to generate interest in your product or service. You can do this in the form of paid ads on Instagram, YouTube or Facebook.

When it comes to interruption marketing, the question is, “How do you gain people's trust?” The 3-step framework that I am about to share with you comes from my friend, Russell Brunson. He recently wrote a new book called Traffic Secrets, which he is giving away for FREE. I highly recommend it.

When you are driving people to your product or service, you want to engage in a 3-step framework.

Step 1: The Hook

You have to say something or write something in your advertisement or content marketing to hook people. The key to hooking someone is to enter into their world and know what they are thinking and feeling. It's all about grabbing their attention.

As an example, maybe you say something like, “Do you have an epic product, but are struggling to get people to purchase it?” If people don't connect with your hook, they will leave your website. It has to be personalized and incite interest. Remember, it's about them, not you.

Step 2: The Story

A story is a way of establishing trust with your audience. You want to tell a story that allows you to relate to people, which hopefully, will lead to an offer.

Going back to our first example you could say, “I understand where you're coming from. I used to struggle with selling my products too. However, today I've created a 7-figure business selling products online. I would like to help you solve this problem. Here is something that I want to send you, for free, to help you get started.”

Step 3: The Offer

Once you have hooked your audience with a powerful statement that relates to them and told them a story, now you can set up an offer. This can be in the form of a free eBook, a sale, or signup to your email list.

Search Marketing

Search marketing is a strategy that uses paid and unpaid techniques for gaining traffic via search engines, like Google, YouTube, or Facebook. Millions of people search online every day for solutions to their problems. If you want to get your products or service in front of them and increase your brand visibility, you have to take advantage of search marketing.

Both interruption and search marketing are incredibly effective. However, for a lot of online business beginners, it can be very overwhelming to know where to start. There is a simple process that I recommend you go through called the Dream 100. Again, this is what I learned from Russell Brunson in his book, Traffic Secrets.

Take a step back and get clear on who your dream customer is by creating a customer avatar. This is who you are trying to reach and market to. When it comes to figuring out who your dream customer is, Russell suggests that you research the following:

  • Websites your ideal customer visits
  • YouTube accounts they watch consistently
  • Blogs they visit
  • Podcasts they listen to
  • Influencers they follow
  • Keywords they search for in Google

Once you understand who this person is, the strategy becomes a lot easier. The next step is to spend time following your competition. Get on their email lists and learn from them. Watch their videos, follow their blogs, listen to their podcasts. They have paved the way for you and are already successfully selling their products and services. Figure out which marketing strategy is working in their business, go deep with it, and apply that strategy in your own business.

This is how to get traffic to your website and sell your products.

Attention is the most important thing that you can have online. If you don't have people's attention you can't market or sell your products. What strategy will you work on to generate more website traffic?

The post Mistakes I Made When I Got Started With Internet Marketing appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

I want to talk about the mistakes I made when I got started with Internet marketing.

Building an online business isn't easy. There are a lot of factors to think about and decisions to make.

A lot of online businesses fail because people make poor decisions that hurt their potential for success.

I want to help you avoid the mistakes I made so that you can set yourself up for entrepreneurial success from the onset.

Ready to discover how to build an online business the right way?

Watch the video below:

(Click here to watch on YouTube)

[smart_track_player url=”http://www.buzzsprout.com/9299/2496871-plm-752-mistakes-i-made-when-i-got-started-with-internet-marketing.mp3″ background=”default” ]

Mistakes happen in an online business.

However, they can be prevented if you know what to look for. Preparedness is the key to success. I want to be vulnerable with you and talk about the mistakes that I've made in the past. Hopefully it will help you avoid going down the same road that I did and, ultimately, help you build a thriving business.

I started my entrepreneurial journey 12 years ago. I was 21 years old. At this stage of my life I was broke. I was $15,000 in credit card debt and living on my friends couch. I was in a really dark place in my place and I hated my life.

When I first discovered Internet marketing, I didn't care about doing what I loved or helping anyone. Rather, I merely wanted to get out of pain. I was willing to do anything to make money. I ended up learning from the wrong people. They tempted me with get-rich-quick schemes.

This is a very dangerous mentality to adopt because you risk compromising your values and what is ethical in order to make money. That's exactly what happened to me. I looked for loopholes, gimmicks and tricks. Thankfully, a lot of what I was doing didn't translate into success. When I look back, I realize how desperate I was. I didn't know who I was.

When I started my brand, Project Life Mastery, 8 years ago my mindset shifted entirely. Instead of focusing on making money, I focused on serving, contributing, and adding value to people. When I made this change in my life, I became a millionaire because I made the choice to live on purpose. I continue to do so to this day.

Getting rich should never be your end goal.

Rather, your goal should be freedom; having the ability to do the things that bring your life the most value. Financial success is merely a byproduct of that. When you're starting an online business, you've got to clear on what your values are. More importantly, you can never compromise those values. 2022 is the best time to start an online business.

Anyone is capable of starting an online business. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is built for it. Every entrepreneur has a unique journey, but I've yet to meet one person who didn't encounter failures and challenges on their road to success.

The entrepreneurial journey is paved with a lot of highs and lows. If you decide to take this path, you've got to be all in. I've been an entrepreneur for over 10 years now. When asking about my experience as an entrepreneur, a lot of people say to me, “Wow, you're so lucky”, as if I magically created success. This is far from true.

I endured years of hard work and had to sacrifice a lot to achieve the success that I have today. Success isn't a matter of ability. Rather, it's a matter of motivation. Nothing came easy for me. Although I've been able to create a 7-figure online business, being an entrepreneur still has its challenges.

Whether your business is booming and there’s a bubble throughout the sector, or there’s no money around and you can’t make ends meet, being an entrepreneur will be difficult. At the end of the day, you've got to decide how bad you want success and then you've got to do whatever it takes to get it.

If you are ready to embark on the entrepreneurial journey, I want to best equip you for the road ahead.

Sometimes you don't know what the best online business model is until you've tried a few different ones. Don't get me wrong… all of the models work. However, some of them will work better than others. One of the best ways to figure out what path to take is to invest in yourself and learn from others.

I was able to fastrack my entrepreneurship journey by investing in training programs and courses. However, keep in mind that there are people out there who will try to scam you into get-rich-quick schemes. You have to use your judgment to determine whether or not something is a good fit for you.

When it comes to online courses, be wary of any claims or guarantees that are made. I recommend doing an investigation into a course creator before you invest money into anything. Look for testimonials, success stories, and a 30-day money-back guarantee option. If you end up deciding that a course isn't legit, then you can at least get a refund.

For most people, starting an online business is hard, especially if they've never had any experience in business or have a disempowering mindset.

However, I've always believed that an online business is a great journey to embark upon. It forces you to grow beyond your current state of being and become more. Although it's been hard, I have loved the entrepreneurial journey. I'm so proud of the person I've become and the lives that I've impacted along the way.

You need to know why you want to start an online business.

Your purpose will motivate you, help you break through the difficult times, and keep you moving forward. When I first started my online business, I believed in my vision so much so that I was willing to do whatever it took to succeed. I didn't want to give up because the alternative was painful.

Going to school, getting into debt, and working a 9 to 5 job that I hated until I retired wasn't appealing to me. Pain can move you forward and motivate you to take action and change your life. It pushes you when you are not happy with what you have or who you are.

You won't get results right away in your online business. It will take time, energy, and money before you get rewarded for your effort. You've got to pay the price upfront for success. It took me three years to start making any sustainable income in my business. However, I always trusted in the process. I knew that, if I continued to work hard, I would eventually prevail. That's exactly what happened.

Lastly, make sure that you dedicate time to building your online business. This will look different for everyone. Your online business has to be more important than your current job. Hence, you've got to treat it as such. It's not just a hobby. Show up every day and commit the time to it, as if you had a boss that was riding your butt to finish a deadline. Be willing to sacrifice today for tomorrow's betterment.

This is what you need to know about starting an online business in 2022.

Now that you know what is to be expected, the question is… do you want success bad enough? If so, take massive action and start building your online business today. This is your year. Create a life that you never need a vacation from.

Have you been trying to figure out a simple & easy way for how to make a website in 2019?

I'm going to walk you through, step-by-step, how to set up a website, from stratch.

If you want to start an online business, it is imperative that you have a website. This is a representation of your brand and online presence.

The good news is that building a website has never been easier and it's fairly inexpensive. Let's dive into the process now!

Watch the video below:

Are you ready to create a website for your business? CLICK HERE to get started with BlueHost!

This page contains affiliate links. If you purchase a product through one of them, I will receive a commission (at no additional cost to you). I only ever endorse products that I have personally used and benefitted from personally. Thank you for your support!

A website is vital for your business success.

Statistics show that 93 percent of online experiences begin with a search engine. If you're not online, you can't expect people to find you. More importantly, you cannot expect to convert first-time visitors into long-term customers. In the beginning stages of building your business, you need to know what purpose of your website and what kind of website you want to build. Here are three different website options that you can choose from.

Wix

If all that you need is a simple home page, an about page and a services page, a website builder like Wix.com is a great option. They have a lot of templates and themes that you can choose from and they are newbie friendly. Their pricing plan starts from as low as $14 per month. Conversely, a business package ranges from $20-35 per month.

Shopify

If you're an e-commerce seller, I recommend Shopify. This is a great platform if you want to sell physical products. They have a lot of great free themes. However, there are limitations in terms of customization.

WordPress

If you are looking to build a brand and customize your site, I suggest using WordPress. This is what I use for my website, Project Life Mastery. It is a free service. They have a lot of great themes to choose from, one of them being StudioPress.

With WordPress, the only thing that you need to pay for is the domain name and hosting. You can use GoDaddy to purchase a domain name. I recommend that you purchase the .com version. This will be a valuable asset for you if you want to scale your business or sell it in the future.

Before you register your domain name, make sure that you do a US Tradmark search to ensure that you aren't violating a trademark. If someone else owns the trademark for the domain name that you choose, he or she can come after you for all of the money that you make.

Your domain name needs to be linked to a hosting service.

I recommend BlueHost, especially for beginners. They have a one-click WordPress install feature. When you sign up with them, they give you a free domain name for the first year.

If you're looking for a designer or a developer to customize your website, Upwork is your go-to place for finding freelancers. Designers bid on your job and they have portfolios that you can review. Otherwise, you can also go to Fiverr.com. This is a great service for getting your logo designed inexpensively.

Another great service is 99 designs, which I use a lot. It costs more money but it's worth it. This gives you the ability to host a contest online where a lot of talented graphic designers submit their concept to you for review. You get to pick which one you want on your website. Whomever wins the contest gets your money.

This is the simple & easy way for how to make a website in 2019.

Watch the video above where I walk you through a step-by-step process for how to install WordPresss, sign up for BlueHost, get your domain name, and link the two together! I also show you how you can install free and/or paid WordPress themes, as well as plugins.

Mastering copywriting is a craft.

Becoming a great copywriter isn't easy. It's taken me a long time to master this skill. I'm still learning to this day. However, by consistently working on my writing, I've gotten better and better at it. My efforts have drastically improved the conversion rates in my business.

It's important to understand that copywriting is not about your business. Rather, it’s about consumers' view of your business. It gives consumers an opportunity to learn more about who you are and what your brand represents. In the words of George Gribbin, “A copywriter should have an understanding of people, an insight into them, and sympathy towards them.”

If you want to become proficient at anything, you need to invest time and energy into studying it. Why reinvent the wheel when you can learn from people who have mastered their craft? This is why I decided to invest time learning about copywriting from the best of the best. Doing so has enabled me to accelerate my results.

This is why I'm such a big fan of Jon Benson. Some of the world's top marketers learn and study from him, including me. He has influenced my business in countless ways. He is the Founder of Sellerator, which is a video sales letter and sales copy software. He is also the Founder of Email CopyPro, an email creation software designed to create and enhance your inbox brand.

Ready to discover how you can turn your words into cash?

I encourage you to watch the video above, where Jon and I talk about his process for mastering copywriting. If you don't know why copywriting is important, or how to apply it in your business, listen to Jon Benson!

If you want to achieve massive success in the business world, you need to be perceived as a go-to expert.

The online learning industry has exploded. People are investing up to $350 million dollars on self-education every single day. Forbes estimates that this number will triple in the next five years.

Are you ready to turn what you already know into next level success and impact? CLICK HERE to join Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi’s Knowledge Broker Blueprint!

This page contains affiliate links. If you purchase a product through one of them, I will receive a commission (at no additional cost to you). I only ever endorse products that I have personally used and benefitted from personally. Thank you for your support!

The knowledge business is a $129 billion dollar per year industry.

Self-education has become the new norm, in large part, due to the Internet. More and more people are consuming content online, via blog posts, YouTube channels, and podcasts. More importantly, they are taking action with the knowledge that they are consuming. They are doing things like investing in training programs and courses, attending seminars and joining Mastermind Groups.

In many ways, self-directed learning is more efficient. Whereas traditional education focuses on broad knowledge, self-directed learning focuses on specialized knowledge. In the words of James Altucher, “We’re in an idea-based economy and a skill-based economy, not a certificate-based economy.”

The knowledge industry provides a lot of opportunities for you to grow. In his book, Talent Is Overrated: What Really Separates World-Class Performers from Everybody Else, Geoff Colvin argues that niche expertise is essential to become a top performer and reach your highest potential.

The benefits of being an expert are far-reaching. Not only will you be deemed as credible by others, but the skills that you offer will set you apart from industry competitors. Even better, people will pay you more for your products and services.

Ultimately, the #1 reason why you should learn how to become an expert in your industry is for the impact that you will make on peoples' lives. At the end of the day, that's the most rewarding part of the entire process towards becoming an expert. If you make it your focus to serve others,  you will naturally get rewarded with the credibility, respect, and money that you deserve.

Here are five steps that will allow you to become an expert in your industry.

1. Study

Once you've identified the niche that you want to be an expert in, you've got to study. If you want to become an expert, you've got to take your own self-education very seriously. You can't just read a few books and call yourself an expert. Rather, you have to go deep with knowledge so that you know a subject inside, out.

I take what I do very seriously. My work is more than just a hobby or a passion. This is why, over the last 15+ years, I've been working on myself every single day. I am always investing in coaches, trainers, and joining Mastermind Groups. By investing in myself, I am also investing in my expertise, which in turn, allows me to add more value to others.

2. Apply

I believe that the best way to to learn is by doing. Knowledge means nothing unless you apply it. There's a big difference between absorbing information and putting what you've learned into practice. Without doing the latter, the training you've received will go to waste. Don't be a seminar junkie, otherwise known as someone who consumes information but does nothing with it. This will only limit your experience and your ability to actually impact people.

When I went to University in my early 20's I took one marketing course. I dropped out in the first semester because the professor that I was learning from studied marketing out of a textbook. He had never actually run a business before. I would much rather learn from someone that has actually applied whatever it is that they are talking about. I ended up dropping out of college. It was the best decision that I've ever made.

3. Get Results

People are looking for people who are getting results in their lives. You can do something once in a while, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to get results from it. This is why you've got to apply what you learn on a consistent basis. Doing so allows you to show others that you actually know what you're talking about. This is where expertise comes into play. In the words of Jill Koenig, “Results will show up when you do.”

4. Share Or Teach

If you want to become an expert, you must share or teach what you know. This is one of the best ways to learn and master something. Knowledge isn't meant to be hoarded. Rather, it is meant to be shared with others. Research shows that in the information age, sharing knowledge and connecting with people is critical for success, innovation and picking up on the early signals of change.

When you share something that you teach, you learn it twice. The information that I share forces me to practice what I preach every single day. I can't expect people to do what I say if I'm not doing it myself. I teach things that make a difference in peoples' lives, which in turn, supports my personal growth and development as well. It's a win-win.

When I first started Project Life Mastery in 2012, I wasn't an expert. I was just sharing my goals, successes, failures, and challenges. By no means did I wait until I was an expert to share my knowledge. I simply came at it from the position of being passionate about things that had personally benefitted me. Once people started getting results from the content that I was sharing, they perceived me to be an expert.

5. Get Credibility

You gain credibility and are viewed as an expert once you've established yourself in the first four levels. Doing things like publishing books; speaking to large audiences; and being a guest writer on different online magazines, like Forbes or Entrepreneur, all help to elevate your credibility.

Even having a certain number of followers on your social media channels helps. It shows people that you are someone who others want to follow. More importantly, it shows that you are someone who has built a brand, which further supports your message.

Now that you know how to become an expert in your industry, it's time to take action!

I encourage you to follow the above five steps. The world needs more people like you that want to serve and become a leader in their industry. Whether you know it or not, you already have value to give to people. Share your knowledge and wisdom with others. That is what will allow you to help others while building your expertise at the same time.
