You won't believe what YouTube paid me for some of my videos.

I've been a YouTuber for almost ten years now.

What started as a desire to share my goals and habits with others has transformed into a platform comprised of 1,200,000 subscribers.

It's an incredible feeling to know that my content has impacted so many peoples' lives.

In this blog, I talk about how much YouTube paid me for 1,000,000+ views on my videos.

If you want to build a YouTube channel that makes you passive income while adding massive value, read this!

YouTube has been a great stream of income for me.

To be honest, I wasn't aware of how much YouTube was paying me for views until recently. I don't like to get caught up in the analytics of my channel because it takes away from my purpose, which is making an impact on people's lives.

If I get too wrapped up in making money for my YouTube videos, it shifts my intention. I end up feeling disconnected from my passion. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the money I've made on YouTube.

I first started on YouTube before YouTube even had an advertising feature on its platform. Over the years I've been witness to how YouTube has grown. Advertisers spend a lot of money to advertise on channels like mine and others.

On average, a YouTube channel can receive $18 per 1,000 ad views. This equates to $3 – $5 per 1,000 video views. A lot of YouTubers have taken advantage of this opportunity and turned it into a viable business.

Some YouTubers make millions of dollars per year just from the ad revenue of their videos. Jimmy Donaldson, the digital celebrity known as Mr. Beast, and other highest-paid YouTubers secured an estimated $211 million in total earnings from June 1, 2019, to June 1, 2020.

I thought it would be interesting for me to share some of the revenue that I've made from my videos. Also, for those of you who want to become YouTubers, I want to give you some tips on how to build a money-making YouTube channel.

Watch the video above where I share my computer screen and show you the top two videos that have made me the most money on YouTube!

Overall, I've made over $1 million in ad revenue from my entire YouTube channel. However, YouTube is not my primary source of revenue. I have many other business models that I'm involved in, but YouTube makes me a lot of money.

People who enjoy my content on YouTube tend to check out the other offerings that I have. Here are my top 2 highest revenue-producing videos on YouTube.

Highest Revenue-Producing Video #1 – She Makes $40,000 Per Month on Amazon at 23 Years Old

In this video, I interviewed my now wife, Tatiana, about her success on Amazon. After filming the video we thought that it may get 10-20,000 views. We've been blown away to see that it now has almost 6 million views!

This video has encouraged so many people to build an Amazon business. Even better, a lot of people have made a lot of money from this one video. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that your content has changed people's lives.

The estimated revenue that I've made from this video has been $87,000 US dollars. This video didn't even have mid-roll ads, meaning that it probably could've made a lot more money. Keep in mind that if you're a beginner YouTuber, it's difficult to achieve this kind of money.

You can't predict which of your videos is going to go viral. Thus, a video like this is difficult to replicate. If you have a video that has over 6 million views, how much you make from it may be based on the topic and the niche of that video.

With a video like this one, more advertisers may be interested in the topic of selling on Amazon. Thus, they are willing to spend more money to advertise in front of it. The target market of these advertisers may be business owners or people who sell on Amazon.

I also publish a lot of self-development videos. I'm not publishing these videos to make money from. Rather, it's because I want to share impactful content that has the power to change people's lives. As a YouTuber, I share things that are relevant to my life and the lives of others. If I can make money at the same time, that's a bonus.

Highest Revenue-Producing Video #2 – How To Sell On Amazon For Beginners

In this video, I walk people through a step-by-step tutorial on how to build a profitable online business using Amazon FBA for beginners. I am a firm believer that Amazon FBA is one of the most life-changing opportunities available today.

This video has 2.1 million views and the estimated revenue that I've made from it has been $81,000 US dollars. Interestingly enough, this video performed better per view than the first video, since it has half of the number of views and only made $6,000 less.

But there's a danger in obsessing about the number of views you get on YouTube.

This proves that there are more opportunities for advertisers to advertise in front of videos like this one. I have a few other videos in the 5-figure to 1 million view range which is awesome. Keep in mind that certain topics will make you more money on YouTube than others.

Some of these video topics include business, marketing, selling on Amazon, investing, and/or real estate. Typically, a lot of advertisers will advertise in front of any videos that are in the financial sector.

However, if you are a YouTuber, make sure that you're not making videos solely for the money. I understand that making money is great. I could have made way more money if I had made that my intention, but it's not.

Ultimately, you want to create content on YouTube because it's something that can make an impact on someone else's life. It's something that is your passion. At times, I've gotten off track and chased opportunities for purpose of making money.

There's nothing wrong with doing this now and then. However, if you get too obsessed with making money from videos, you fall into a danger zone. This is the trend on YouTube – getting people's attention by resorting to anything that will get their attention.

Unfortunately, taking this path can compromise your values. Balance is key. Yes, see what's doing well so that you can further support people.

However, make sure you stay true to yourself. More importantly, always put other people's needs above your own. If you can do that, I trust you will be successful in your YouTube endeavors.

This is how much YouTube paid me for 1,000,000+ views on my videos.

Building a YouTube channel is hard work. However, the payoff is well worth it once you realize how many lives you've impacted through your content.

When I first started my channel, I would have never imagined that 1,000,000 people would be following me, but here I am.

Anything is possible if you stay consistent and add massive value over the long term. May your endeavors on YouTube be successful. You've got this!

Being a YouTuber helped me build a growth mindset.

When I was 17 years old, I found the world of self-development. I finally believed that it was possible to grow and become more.  Ever since then, I've been committed to learning and improving myself. My YouTube channel has given me a platform to publicly share my story of personal transformation.

Over the years, I've stepped outside my comfort zone in more ways than I can count. I have forced myself to get comfortable being uncomfortable and I have documented the process for the world to see.

Every time that I film a video, I learn something new about myself and the world. I then share that knowledge with others and the ripple effect of learning continues.

One question that I get asked by people, time and time again, is how I'm able to make so much progress in so many different areas of my life. Until last year, I was publishing a goals report on my YouTube channel every single month since 2012.

You cannot achieve anything in life without goals. Without them, you end up drifting through life, with no sense of direction. I owe much of my success to my morning ritual. Since I was 17 years old, I've been engaging in healthy habits every single day. As a result, I have been able to optimize my mind, body, and spirit.

Good habits are important to creating your best self because they keep you moving forward instead of falling into old patterns that don't serve you. When you are operating at your best, you create incredible opportunities. In effect, you get more from your day and your entire life.

I feel blessed to have achieved so much success at such a relatively young age.

When you see someone whom you perceive to be in a better position in life than you are, it's natural to compare your life to theirs. Comparisons are likelier to make us feel bad when we make the error of only comparing ourselves to the best.

As an example, a lot of people who are struggling financially tend to compare themselves to the wealthiest people whom they either follow on social media or know personally. Making such an unrealistic comparison creates unnecessary pain and suffering.

While it's human nature to compare yourself to others, it's important to remember that each of us is on a different life path. Success will mean something different from one person to the next. Don't compare your progress to that of others.

At the end of the day, success is simple. It all comes down to your mindset. Once you have adopted the mindset of success and have optimized yourself for it, almost everything that you do becomes successful! Success and confidence go hand in hand.

A confident person doesn't allow their fears to hold them back from pursuing their goals. They know that they will be successful, regardless of how long it takes them to achieve what they set out to do.

Adopting a fear-based approach to life will only limit your opportunities. Fear tells you that it's better to stay in your comfort zone than risk failing.

This is why I'm such a big believer in setting SMART goals. Once you achieve the goals that you set, you build confidence, which inspires you to keep achieving more. In turn, you start learning how to master that which you want.

This doesn't mean that you won't encounter failures along your journey to success.

Failure is a core part of success.

What matters most is how you respond to your failures. In the words of Winston Churchill, “Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.” Failure is merely feedback. It equips you for future success. That's how every successful person views it.

When I first started filming videos I was terrified. I had a lisp, I stuttered, and I was extremely shy. Sharing my story in front of a camera made me feel very anxious. However, I knew that if I felt the fear and did it anyway, I would eventually overcome it. That's what I did.

Today, I am a motivational speaker who gives speeches in front of thousands of people. Moreover, being a content creator has become one of my greatest passions in life. It doesn't mean that I don't still get nervous now and then when I film a video or talk in front of a group of people.

However, because I've built up my confidence muscle, I can access and embody an empowering emotional state at any given moment. It didn't happen overnight, but I was willing to make mistakes, learn from them, and get better over time.

In short, I never gave up. If you want to achieve success in life you have to be willing to do hard things. Stepping out of your comfort zone builds unshakeable resilience and self-confidence.

I hope my story inspires you to make 2021 the year that you unlock your potential and create a successful life. Don't wait for the perfect time to build your dream lifestyle. Start where you are, take action, and don't stop making progress until you've achieved what it is that you set out to do.

Are you ready to start a YouTube channel?

A lot of people wait for the perfect time to start creating content on YouTube. However, there is no perfect time to start anything. Whether you feel like you're ready or not to dive into the process, I encourage you to just start. I've been a YouTuber for over 8 years now.

When I first started my YouTube channel I had no idea what I was doing. In the beginning, I was filming videos with my iPhone on a stack of books. I didn't have any fancy cameras or equipment, I just had a desire to share and serve. That was more than enough. At the time, I was in the early stages of my self-development journey.

I felt alive and excited for my future, in ways that I had never felt before. The life principles that I was learning and living by were transforming every area of my life. I wanted to inspire others to grow and evolve. That being said, I didn't start creating video content to make make money off of people.

However, fast forward to today and my YouTube channel has helped me build a multi-million dollar business doing work that I love. If you have the desire to impact millions of people through your content, YouTube is an amazing platform to do so.

Read on to get our advice on how to start a YouTube channel…

If you are just getting started, congratulations! This is an exciting journey. What we love about being YouTubers is that we get to add so much value to people all over the world. It also provides us with a unique opportunity to grow and develop ourselves.

As a result, we can add even more value to our audience. Before you get started, it's important to understand that building a YouTube channel is a journey. In the beginning, it can feel disheartening. You may not get any views from the videos that you publish. This is a part of the process.

YouTube rewards consistency. It's a game of momentum. If you are consistent, over time your channel will gain more subscribers and you will develop relationships with your viewers. It's all about figuring out what people want and what they respond to. Eventually, one of your videos will take off and your channel will grow exponentially.

In terms of the content itself, figure out what your niche is and what you are going to offer people. Keep your videos short. In the beginning stage of building your channel, people don't know you well enough yet. Thus, they don't want to give you 30 minutes of their time. Deliver on whatever the title of your videos is.

People appreciate it when you get straight to the point.

Before Tatiana and I create video content, we like to study other peoples' YouTube channels that are similar to our niche. Doing so allows us to determine the kinds of video topics that are performing well. Keep in mind that the goal isn't to copy other people's videos.

You're merely getting ideas. Every successful YouTube video starts with a great topic that others' are interested in. If you're putting out videos that people don't care about, you won't succeed on YouTube. It's not about you. Once you build up your audience you can create longer videos. At that point, your subscribers will have an interest in learning from YOU.

YouTube Tips and Tricks

First and foremost, we recommend that you film your videos in bulk. Once you record one video you will be in a state to record more. You will be more talkative and articulate. I like to take half a day to record a few different videos.

When it comes to your thumbnails, you want to make sure that they are high-quality. You could have the best video on YouTube, but if people aren't intrigued to click on your video, nobody will watch it. A great thumbnail entices people. Different thumbnails will convert differently on YouTube.

For example, a close-up thumbnail may work better versus one that is far away. Sometimes no text is better than text on the thumbnail image. You will figure out what is best through trial and error.

This is why we suggest that you create two thumbnails for each video and then split test them to determine which thumbnail is performing better. If you want to save time, you can hire a designer on Fiverr to design thumbnails for you relatively inexpensively.

The lighting is everything when it comes to creating videos. Natural light is the best for filming videos and taking thumbnail pictures. If you decide to film outside, be weary that noise can impact the quality of your videos, as well as the constantly-changing light.

Good quality audio is also crucial for engagement.

We use the Sennheiser EW 112 wireless microphone. Once you have the money to invest in a great quality camera, do it! We use a Panasonic GH5.

Finally, a powerful tool that we recommend that you use when creating your YouTube videos is TubeBuddy.

This is a great keyword research tool for determining which YouTube videos and their titles are performing the best. In turn, this will help you get your videos ranking higher in the search results, which will result in more views and subscribers over time.

Also, TubeBuddy helps you choose the best tags for your videos and allows you to split test your YouTube thumbnails. In my opinion, every new YouTuber should have this tool.

Make 2022 the year that you start your YouTube channel!

What stops a lot of people from starting a YouTube channel is fear. Don't worry about being perfect. All that matters is that you just start. Take action, stay consistent, and focus on making progress with every video you publish.

YouTube has transformed mine and Tatiana's life in so many ways. If you want to learn more about Tatiana and her work, I encourage you to follow her YouTube channel and Instagram where she shares her best tips and strategies for success with eCommerce.

I believe that everyone can benefit from starting a YouTube channel, whether you have the desire to build a business, improve your speaking skills, build confidence, or create a community of like-minded people.

The question is… are you ready to ditch your fear and share your message?

What is an influencer?

An influencer is someone who has established credibility in a specific area or industry. Today, there are so many opportunities available for people to have their own podcast, blog, Instagram Tik Tok, or YouTube channel. A lot of people are starting their careers as an influencer at a very young age and doing incredibly well.

There are kids in high school that are making 6-7 figures by leveraging different social media platforms. There are so many great companies that are willing to pay influencers to promote their products and get in front of your audience.

As an influencer, I've been able to impact millions of peoples' lives, build a successful online business, and turn my passion into profit. The financial gains that come from being an influencer are obvious, but that isn't what I want to talk to you about today. I want to share with you the 12 little known benefits that I've received along my influencer journey thus far.

I've been a YouTuber for 9 years now. When I started, I didn't know that I could make money doing it. My primary goal was always to share my story and add value to others. I've received so many benefits from being a YouTuber. It's my responsibility to share how this journey has impacted me.

Today, I have over 1.1 million subscribers on my YouTube channel and over 58 million views, not to mention the success I've had with my podcast, blog, and social media. The benefits I've received have far outweighed the money that I've made. Here are the 12 little known benefits of being an influencer. Let's dive in!

1. Helped me overcome my fear of judgment, rejection, and criticism

If you decide to put yourself out there online, you will be susceptible to others' judgments and criticisms. The reality is that people judge people, whether they express it out loud or not. On the Internet, people have the option to be anonymous and can make comments at will. In the beginning, this negative energy may affect you.

However, as you keep going, you will desensitize yourself to the white noise of others' judgments. I've made incredible strides in my life, as it pertains to my fear of judgment from others. Today, comments from haters bounce off of me. This has been a huge benefit that has translated to other areas of my life.

Think about how many people are afraid of what other people think of them, so much so that they live their lives based on what they think they should do instead of what they want to do. Confronting your fears head-on is the only thing that helps you to overcome them.

2. Forced me to continuously learn and evolve.

Because of the nature of my industry, which is self-development, I have to be creative and resourceful consistently. The more that I learn, the more content that I can create, the more I can share with my audience.

Being a YouTuber has forced me to level up and have high standards in every aspect of my life. If I don't grow and evolve, I have nothing to share or give. This is why I'm always learning. It's a core part of my job. I never run out of things to teach or share.

3. Helped me become a leader, a role model, and a positive example to others.

Leadership has taken on an important role in my life. I don't take for granted the reach and the impact that I have. There is a level of responsibility that comes with that. When I publish a piece of content I am influencing people's thoughts, values, beliefs, and behaviors through my words.

I don't take that lightly. There are a lot of people who consume my content and look up to me as a role model. This forces me to level up my game and be a better human being. I want to make sure that the world is better off for me being here.

4. I've become a more confident speaker and a better communicator.

When I was young, I struggled with communication. In high school, I was incredibly shy and quiet. It became such a pain point in my life. Eventually, I decided to devote time and attention to developing my communication skills out of necessity. I decided to sign up for public speaking classes and practice as much as I could. I wanted a career in public speaking.

I'm not smooth and polished in my speaking with every single video that I publish. I still have slip-ups. However, when I speak, I never have a script. Rather, I just speak from my heart. When you put in your 10,000 hours you get better and better over time. That's exactly what happened to me.

5. I've better internalized a lot of self-improvement concepts and principles.

When you teach and communicate something to others in a clear and concise way, you learn on a much deeper level. My career as an influencer provides me with the opportunity to master new concepts and principles and pass on this knowledge to others. In many ways, I'm speaking to myself when I'm speaking to others.

6. I have more empathy, compassion, and love for strangers.

I don't judge anyone. When you're an influencer, you attract so many people from all over the world who have different values, interests, and personalities. I've met amazing people throughout my career. However, in the online world, I've also come across people who are radically different from myself.

You have to be careful that you aren't quick to judge these types of people. Everyone has a story. Being an influencer has helped me better understand the psychology of people. In essence, why people do what they do.

By having empathy and understanding others' belief systems, I have developed a greater appreciation for diverse viewpoints. Coming from a place of appreciation first, I am then able to determine which viewpoints best serve my life.

7.  I get valuable feedback from people.

Sometimes you will get feedback from people online, both constructive and malicious in nature. Be careful when it comes to receiving feedback. It's up to you to decide what you will do with it. I like to try out peoples' viewpoints and then decide whether or not I can apply them to my life. If you can receive constructive feedback and turn it into an opportunity for growth, you win.

8. I'm able to meet and get access to incredible human beings.

As an influencer, I've been able to meet incredible people, some of whom include Robert Kiyosaki, Dave Asprey, and Tony Robbins.  A lot of my friends are successful entrepreneurs and influencers who are doing amazing things in this world.

Over the years I have intentionally placed myself in environments with people who are more successful than myself. I've absorbed their wisdom and knowledge like a sponge. As a result, I have become a better person and a more successful entrepreneur.

9. I get to make a huge impact on peoples' lives.

I've always wanted to make a contribution to the world, but I never knew what that would look like. Early on in my life I was impacted by role models, like Tony Robbins. In particular, his work transformed every aspect of my life. It was then that I knew that I too wanted to provide the gift of transformation to others.

The impact that I've been able to make has been huge. I get messages and emails all the time from people who tell me how much my work has changed their lives. That is something that I don't take for granted. These words of gratitude fuel me to keep giving and serving. When you give to others, you get back in so many incredible ways.

10. I get cool perks and free stuff.

As an influencer, there are a lot of companies who will give you their products for free, in exchange for you sharing them on your social media. I've been blessed to receive a lot of incredible gifts, for free. This includes everything from courses, to books, to trips, to flights.

I don't ask for these things, but I am open to receiving them. That being said, I do like to pay for things because I want to support people who have created something of value. They deserve my money.

11. I've become more aware of my ego and my attachments.

As an influencer, you need to be careful that you don't get too attached to the identity and the feeling of significance. You will get a lot of attention and praise from people, in the form of likes and comments. You need to make sure that all of this attention doesn't get to your head.

Humble yourself and be mindful when your ego starts to show up. At the end of the day, you're just a person. You're not better than anyone else. We all have weaknesses and strengths. My spiritual practice has helped me become more aware of my ego. There is a real danger in getting too attached to the need for significance.

If you make significance one of your top needs you will never be happy. You will always be looking for more significance which creates a toxic cycle of chasing self-gratification. On top of that, you will feel insignificant when you surround yourself with people whom you perceive as more significant to yourself. Self-comparison is a losing battle.

12. I've gotten better at sales and marketing.

The lifeblood of a business is sales and marketing. You have to believe in your product or service, so much so that you are willing to actively promote yourself and your brand. In effect, you have to become a master salesperson.

Your ability to effectively influence others to take action will determine your success as an entrepreneur. When you add massive value and over-deliver on a consistent basis, people start to trust you more and you will have to work less to sell yourself.

These are 12 little known benefits of being an influencer.

Being an influencer has blessed my life in so many ways. I love what I do because of the person I have become.  If you aspire to become a person of influence, work hard to build your audience, add value, and make the world a better place, simply by sharing your message and by being your authentic self.

I've been a YouTuber for over 8 years.

When I first started Project Life Mastery, my intention was to share my goals, rituals, and habits, in the hopes that others would feel inspired to grow and evolve. The fact that 1,000,000 people I don't even know have watched and benefitted from my videos is beyond humbling. That makes everything that I do worthwhile.

If you want to build a YouTube channel I want to pay it forward and share 10 things that I learned from getting 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers. You can apply these 10 universal principles of success to whatever path you decide to take in life. Let's dive in!

1. Consistency Is Key

I've been consistently publishing YouTube videos for over 8 years now. There was once a time when I was publishing 5 videos in one week for one year straight. To be consistent you have to have a long-term vision. This means that you need to know what you want to do with your YouTube channel. Building a YouTube channel takes time to grow.

When I first started my YouTube channel, nobody was watching my videos. It was disheartening, to say the least. However, I knew that if I wanted to be successful, I had to drop my ego and go through that initial phase of discomfort. Every YouTuber starts with zero subscribers. You've got to believe in what you're doing. If you work hard and are consistent, your efforts will be rewarded.

2. Quality Content Is King

The content that you publish must be high-quality. When people watch my videos I want them to feel appreciated and blown away by the content that I'm providing. That is the reaction that I want, especially if it's someone's first time visiting my channel. Not all of my videos will receive this reaction.

However, when you set your standards high from the onset, you will produce high-quality content on a consistent basis. If you're not getting the results that you want, you need to be willing to make adjustments to your video content. Doing so will allow you to become more marketable and relatable to your audience.

You can't expect to grow your channel with low-quality content. Quality content is king. I'm always analyzing my content so that I grow and improve. I study my verbal and non-verbal body language, and I am constantly reviewing my video analytics. This allows me to know at which point people stop watching my videos.

From there, I can step back and ask myself, “Is there something that I said or did that caused this drop to happen?” You want to make sure that you don't fall into a perfectionist trap. If you strive to make your video content perfect, you will create unrealistic standards that will be hard to live up to. Just be yourself and trust that progress will happen over time.

3. 10% Of Your Videos Will Build Your Channel The Most

Right now my channel gets 1.1 million views per month. Most of those views aren't from my most recent videos. Rather, they are from older videos that I published months or even years ago. To this day, they consistently get views. I have certain videos that go viral at different times, while others drop off. I've published over 1,000 videos on my channel.

However, the reality is that probably 100 of those videos built my channel to 1,000,000 subscribers. My top video has over 5.5 million views. The videos that take off are the ones that will help you build your channel and get followers. You never know which video will take off, which is why publishing consistently is key to success.

I can't tell you how many videos I've recorded that I thought would be received well by people, but weren't. On the flip side, I've published videos that I never thought would take off, but they did.

One example of this was my interview with Tatiana on how she makes $40,000 per month on Amazon at 23 years old. Today, this video has 5.7 million views! Be willing to experiment and publish videos on different topics. This will help you determine what kind of content resonates most with people.

4. Give People What They Want, Then What They Need

If you want to build your channel, you have to give people what they want. The way that you figure out what they want is by doing research on YouTube. This helps you determine what people are searching for and watching. The self-development niche is fairly broad, which means that I have many different segments of subscribers.

Some people are interested in building an Amazon FBA business, while others are interested in building a Kindle publishing business, while others want to learn about self-development. This is how I've built my channel, but it's not the best way. It's better to cater to one core audience, versus building different segmented audiences.

If I only focused on one topic for over 8 years, I would be bored. My videos that do well are the ones where I share results or talk about how to make money. Unfortunately, flashy and superficial topics tend to do well. The reality is that I'm not highly driven by money or materialistic things. It's not who I am.

I'm more of a self-development guy. I preach the value of mastering every area of life to grow and become more. Unfortunately, I've learned that it's challenging to get engagement on video topics related to self-development. It's a hard sell because most people don't want to change themselves.

They want money and success without having to do the work to get it.

To rise above the crowd, I know that I have to create content that will get attention on my channel. Research shows that 82% of all customers have a more positive outlook about a business after consuming custom content. In my videos, I make sure that I give people what they need AND want.

It's great to want success and financial freedom, but don't forget about the things that matter most, like spirituality, relationships, mental health, and well-being. My goal is to help people feel whole, happy, and fulfilled. As Tony Robbins says, “Success without fulfillment is failure.”

5. Know Your X-Factor

You are unique just because of how you are – there is only one of you. This is your x-factor. People will connect with you based on your personality and life story. Authenticity is something that a lot of people value. When I publish videos, I don't do a lot of editing, nor do I chop up my videos. I'm a real and raw person.

How I communicate online is the exact same way that I communicate with my friends and family. On my YouTube channel, my goal is, to be honest and transparent about my journey. People follow people who they like, know, and trust.

I want people to feel hopeful, passionate, and inspired when they consume my content. Through my content, I strive to challenge people's belief systems and/or ways of being. I want people to learn and unlearn everything that they've been taught about who they should be and how they should live their lives. This is what makes me different.

My caring nature is my superpower. People don't see it, but I spend a lot of time behind the scenes brainstorming and researching new ideas and topics that can help people grow and develop on a deeper level. Reflect upon and hone in on what your x-factor is. Ultimately, this is what will give you a competitive edge and keep you on top.

6. Don't Take Anything Personally

Being a YouTuber makes you susceptible to criticism and judgment. Not everyone will like you and that's okay. Your success will always make some people uncomfortable, especially if they are unhappy. People who are happy and fulfilled don't feel the need to judge others. When people spread hate online, oftentimes it has nothing to do with you.

Your success is merely triggering their insecurities. This is what causes them to project and say negative things about you. Don't buy into their projections. Stay in your lane, focus on what's important, and send love to negative people from afar.

I don't engage much on social media. Rather, I focus my efforts on being a content creator. I create my videos, deliver my message, and let my team take care of the rest. My primary goal is to add value and be of service to others.

7. Share Your Journey Authentically

I've always adopted the mindset of being a lifelong learner. I'm a regular person who is on a journey of self-development. I share what works for me because I want to help people. Maybe I'm further ahead than some people, but I'm still a human having a human experience.

Being an authentic person goes a long way. Research shows that 86 percent of consumers say authenticity is important when deciding what brands they like and support. Trying to be perfect isn't effective when it comes to relating to others. If you appear too perfect, people won't trust you.

Being vulnerable, raw, and willing to share your mistakes with others makes you relatable. People connect with people, not robots. Share your journey, but don't sugarcoat it to make it sound ‘better.'

8. Test and Optimize Titles And Thumbnails

You have to understand the ins and outs of how to optimize your YouTube videos. When people are scrolling through videos on YouTube, they have to be inspired to click on your thumbnail. Inciting mystery, emotion, or curiosity is a great way to get clicks on your videos. If you don't get attention, people won't benefit from your message.

Some people go over the top to get attention online, in terms of their titles or the thumbnail images they choose. At one point, my team and I were heavily editing our thumbnails to make them more animated.

However, once we started split-testing our thumbnails, using TubeBuddy, we had an “aha moment.” The unedited thumbnails were getting higher click rates. In terms of choosing video titles, I take a lot of time researching other videos to see what people are clicking on.

Keyword research and search engine optimization are very important, especially when you're building your YouTube channel. Most of your video views will come from YouTube recommending your videos. The viral effect is what makes YouTube so powerful.

9. Have a Long-Term Strategy

You need to know what you want to accomplish with your YouTube channel. YouTube has never been my full-time gig. It's only one part of my business. I use my YouTube channel to grow my other business models. When I first started on YouTube, there was no option to make revenue on advertisements.

Today, there are are a lot of advertisers on YouTube, which means greater opportunities to make more money. YouTube wants people to stay on YouTube. The longer they do, the more ads people watch, the more money YouTube makes. I make $30,000 per month just on ad revenue. Crazy, right?

YouTube doesn't want you to have a link in your description that takes people to your course, funnel, or website. Thus, your videos will do better if you don't have links and CTAs.

However, I would much rather get fewer views on my videos so that I can build the backend of my business and my email list. This is how I've been able to build a multi-million dollar business. Again, know what your long-term strategy is and make decisions accordingly.

10. Caring Is Your Ultimate Power

My passion to serve others drives everything that I do. I always ask myself, “How can I create content that adds massive value to people?” At the end of the day, I'm not a YouTuber for the money. There are a lot of other passive income streams I could leverage and make money from.

I'm driven more by contribution. Caring is my ultimate power. YouTube has created a deep sense of meaning and fulfillment in my life. Knowing that I've made a difference in the lives of so many people has been the ultimate reward.

These are the 10 things I learned from getting 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers.

I hope the insights that I've shared help you build your YouTube channel in a way that aligns with the ultimate vision that you have for your business. If you want to learn more tips on how to build a YouTube channel, check out some of my YouTube videos:

I look forward to further growing my YouTube channel and making a greater impact in the future. Let's strive to hit 10,000,000! Until then, I promise to continue serving and adding value to you through my content.

A YouTube channel is a great way to connect with people.

The fact that you are reading this right now proves that you want to start a YouTube channel. I respect and admire your desire because it means that you have the courage to put yourself out there. More importantly, it proves that you want to help and serve others.

I understand that it's scary to talk in front of a camera. By nature, I'm an introvert. It took me a long time to get comfortable and confident with what I do. When I first started my YouTube channel, my family and friends made fun of me because they didn't understand what I was doing.

Here's one thing that I've learned… results speak for themselves. As soon as you start making money from a YouTube channel, all of the sudden the same people who made fun of you are suddenly interested in what you've been able to accomplish.

Tips For How To Get Started on YouTube

I've been a YouTuber for 8 years now and I've learned a lot along the way. I want to pay forward what I know so that you can create a money-making YouTube channel in 2022.

1. Understand that YouTube is a long-term game

Nobody starts a YouTube channel, publishes a few videos and gets views right away. That's not how the process works. When you're first starting, nobody knows who you are. Therefore, you won't get any subscribers or views. It's easy to get frustrated because nobody is watching your videos right away.

How you decide to approach this reality will make or break you. Most people cannot withstand this initial phase. It's important to remember that any new skill or endeavor takes practice. A lot of people are so attached to results on YouTube. They judge results based on views, subscribers, and the amount of money earned. When they don't see results, they get discouraged and give up.

The best way to get through this challenging phase of building your YouTube channel is to acknowledge the benefits that you are receiving from doing the work. You need to understand that, with every video that you record and publish, you are improving your communication skills, confidence, and personality. These skills translate to every other area of your life.

If you can keep publishing content for several months, you will make progress. With every video that you publish, try to adopt the mindset that you are planting a seed. Eventually, your YouTube channel will grow into something that has a core subscriber base that will support you. Unfortunately, there is no shortcut to success on YouTube. Rather, it's a long-term game.

2. Drop the desire to be perfect

A lot of people think that they can't start a YouTube channel until everything is perfect, in terms of the lighting, setup, audio, etc. The reality is that these things aren't as important as you think. Don't overthink things. What matters most is who you are and the message that you're getting across in your videos.

People will overlook the details if your content is good. Share something that can add value to people's lives, so much so that you motivate and empower them to look at the world from a different lens.

I always strive to make the message in my videos as simple as possible. When I first started my YouTube channel, I had a little camera that sat on a stack of books. I didn't have a microphone or a tripod. Eventually, I upgraded and bought the Panasonic GH5. Over time, I got better. It comes down to adopting the mindset of progress over perfection.

3. Decide on the niche you want to build your channel around

If you want to make money from YouTube deciding on a niche is very important. When people create a channel, most often they want to talk about things that interest them. Hence, the desire to vlog. The problem with this approach is that very few people are successful vloggers.

At the end of the day, YouTube is a search engine. People are searching for content that can help solve their problems. You want to ask yourself, “What are people searching for online that I can create content on?” This is the best way to get started with your YouTube channel.

Think of a niche or topic that you have some knowledge or experience in, and then do research to determine what other people are creating in that niche. This is a great way to learn from others, as well as get an idea of what the demand is for that niche.

I don't suggest going too broad with your YouTube channel from the onset. However, if you do, try experimenting with different types of videos. For example, videos on habits, goal-setting, rituals, beliefs, etc. See what people resonate most with and then build an audience from your research. After that, narrow down your content to serve that audience.

How to Make Money on YouTube

The first way to make money through YouTube is through YouTube ads. This happens if you have a Google Adsense account linked to your YouTube channel. If Google Ads turns on monetization for your videos, there will be an ad that pops up, either during the pre-roll before your video is played, or ads can be played throughout your video.

Every time someone watches an ad and clicks on it, you make money from it. However, keep in mind that how much money you make is dependent on how many views your videos get. What's even more important is how many advertisers are advertising on a specific video. Hence, choosing a profitable niche will always make you more money.

For example, advertisers will spend and invest more money on videos related to business than they will on videos related to self-development. Keep in mind that the money that you make from ads is the smallest amount of money that you will make. The real potential lies outside of YouTube.

When you attract an audience of people in a certain market, think about how you can serve them beyond YouTube. The second way to make money on YouTube is in the back end. The easiest way to start on the back end is through affiliate marketing.

The great thing about affiliate marketing is that you don't have to create a product yourself. Rather, you just have to promote it. Every time someone clicks on your link and buys a product through you, you make a commission from it.

This is how to start a money-making YouTube channel in 2022.

Ultimately, you want to start a YouTube channel with the mindset of constantly adding value. People follow people whom they like and trust. Are you ready to build a channel that could potentially make you millions of dollars? There is no better time than now to start!

Steve Raiken has an incredible success story.

It wasn't long ago that Steve was waiting tables at a restaurant and making $15,000 per year. Fast forward five years, he is now making $108k per month with profit margins at over 90%. He is the Founder of Raiken Profit which teaches people how to sell on eBay and Amazon. On top of that, he also has a successful YouTube channel.

Here is a sneak peek of our interview together where Steve and I talk about how he was able to transform his life and create a successful affiliate marketing business.

How did you get started with affiliate marketing?

I started with affiliate marketing 5 to 6 years ago. At the time, I was working at the Cracker Barrel as a server. I started watching YouYube videos about how to make money online and began the process of selling on eBay and Amazon. Once I started to have some success with that venture, I quit my job. It was at this time that I started my YouTube channel. I wanted to share my journey. In particular, the ups and downs that I was going through in my business. Five years later I've published 1,800 videos and I have over 100,000 subscribers.

What is your strategy for promoting other people's products?

In all honesty, I watch your videos, Stefan and I model exactly what you do! The biggest thing that has worked for me has been interviewing people. I like to build relationships in various niches. I'm in the make money online/e-commerce niche.

In particular, eBay and Amazon.

You may think that this is a small niche, but there are so many sub-niches within them. With Amazon alone, there's private label, wholesale, and retail arbitrage, to name a few. I build relationships with people in each of those niches. I never ask for something right away. I always come from a place of adding value, especially when I'm reaching out to people with large audiences. When you build authentic relationships with people, they want to engage with you.

When it comes to YouTube, I'll create content on the front end, in the form of tips, tricks, strategies, and interviews. From there, I drive people to an opt-in page. When people opt-in, they become a part of an email sequence. I've got 50-60 emails that go out over a one-year period. I add tons of value first, and then I promote people's products. It's the jab, jab, jab, right hook strategy.

How did my Affiliate Marketing Mastery course help you grow your business?

It's been awesome. I love how you share everything from start to finish. One really important thing that I learned from your course is that, if you want to amplify your sales, you need to offer people bonuses. I had one product that was doing a couple of thousand dollars per month. That number doubled overnight when I presented people with a bonus offer in my email copy. Keep in mind that you want your bonuses to be congruent with what it is that you are offering.

What are some key beliefs that have contributed to your success?

Consistency is everything. When you are doing affiliate marketing, sometimes you don't get results right away. As an example, let's look at this launch that I just had where I made 108k.

On the first day, I got 19 sales. It was awesome!

However, on the second and third day, I didn't get any sales. All of sudden, I started to get down. My natural instinct was, “It's over.” At that moment, I started to think about what you taught me. I knew that I couldn't allow a temporary defeat to get me down. Rather, I had to trust the process. So many people want results right away. However, that's not how success works. Preparation and consistency are what lead to success in life. On day 3 I said to myself, “If I wake up on day 8 and I don't get any more sales but I do everything that I can and come from a place of making a difference, then I won't have any regrets.” On days 6 and 7 my sales exploded and I made $108,000.

What advice do you have for someone who is eager to create a laptop lifestyle?

Find one person that you trust and resonate with, and then model them. For me, that person was you, Stefan. I'm always watching your videos and trying to figure out how I can put a spin on what you do.

The problem is that a lot of people dabble in too many different businesses. At the end of the day, you need to decide on one thing and focus all of your energy on that. Once you have that figured out, find someone who has already achieved what it is that you want. Whatever you do, don't give up. Being successful takes time.

This is how Steve Raiken made $108k with affiliate marketing in less than 7 days!

If you dream of running your own business and creating the financial freedom you desire, then I highly recommend that you get started with affiliate marketing. Steve's story proves that anything is possible. Now it's your turn to believe it. Are you ready to become a successful affiliate marketer?

YouTube can be a powerful way to make money online. Are you ready to learn which online business format is right for you? CLICK HERE to take my quiz!

My mission as a YouTuber has always been to serve people.

In order to understand how I became a YouTuber, let's take a step back and talk about where my journey began. When I was 21 years old I started a life and dating coaching business called, Lifestyle Transformations. When I was younger I suffered from extreme shyness and social anxiety, which impacted every area of my life.

After years of self-development work on myself, I was inspired to share my story and help other men achieve the same breakthroughs that I had experienced. Through seminars, events, and one-on-one coaching, I taught men skills and strategies for how to condition their mindset and become more confident and attractive to women.

However, I reached a point at which I wanted to make a transition away from the dating coaching business because I didn't feel that it was aligned with my true purpose. That’s what prompted me to start my YouTube channel in 2012.

When I first started filming videos I felt so awkward. Sharing my story in front of a camera was outside of my comfort zone. I was afraid that people were going to judge me. However, I knew that if I put myself on YouTube, I would overcome my fears. If you want to achieve success, you need to conquer the very things that hold you back in life. Eventually, I got into a rhythm with filming and felt more confident.

I use this story as an example that may also inspire you. There are many people that decide not to use YouTube as a format for messages they want to give.

This is a mistake that you don’t want to make.

Get enough courage to go in front of a video camera and to begin sharing any of the messages you think are important.

It’s not only important when learning how to be a YouTuber, but it allows you to connect to your audience.

It’s how someone can be involved with you personally and allows you to connect in a way that is not possible in any other form.

The personalization is something you can’t find anywhere else on the Internet. Writing a blog, sending an email or even talking with others on social media doesn’t have the same impact as someone seeing your body expressions and how you are responding to your message. It shows your passion, committment and how you are trying to add value to someone else’s lives when you can create that level of personalization.

The process of personalization when you learn how to be a YouTuber is so important that it becomes the basis of your brand. I’ve found that my messages on YouTube are more effective than any area of my website or the basis of my business. It has helped me to create a connection to people around the globe that I would have never had the opportunity to do in the past.

When you look at how to be a YouTuber, you will find that it’s not only important to overcome your fear, but also to build the entire identity of your brand.

I used my YouTube channel as a self-development tool. By sharing my content, it helped me integrate the knowledge that I was already learning at a much deeper level while impacting others in the process. More importantly, being a YouTuber gave me the ability to further develop my speaking and communication skills.

At the onset, it didn't feel like anyone was watching my videos, but over time, I received more views and positive feedback from people, which gave me the motivation that I needed in order to keep going.

The greatest benefit that I have received from being a YouTuber is the number of people that I've been able to help, through my teachings. Sometimes it can be really emotional to see the impact that my videos have had on people. A lot of good has come from being a YouTuber, but there have also been challenges along the way.

Any time that you put yourself out there and express your opinions, there is always going to be a percentage of people that will judge you.

When I first started filming videos, it was hard to receive mean and negative comments from people because I grew up with the belief that, if you didn't have anything nice to say, then you shouldn't say anything at all. In the online world, this rule doesn't apply.

You need to understand that, the only reason that people judge and criticize others is that they are suffering. I've learned not to judge people based on their behaviors. All that you can do is send love and compassion to your haters.

At the end of the day, I’m grateful for every negative comment that I have received because they have made me stronger. Be authentic to who you are, no matter what people say about you online. All that matters is that you can look in the mirror and be proud of the person that you see staring back at you.

Another challenge of being a YouTuber is that sometimes your followers can have a level of entitlement, which can create a lot of demand on you, leaving you feeling overwhelmed. By nature, I am a people pleaser and I want to make everyone happy, but in the online world, this is not possible.

There are several ways that this can take place. For instance, new content that follow trends are always more important. When there are many subscribers, there is also an expectation to continue creating the new content, specifically so they can continue learning from you.

When you learn how to be a YouTuber, make sure you look at the logistics and make certain plans for your channel to work for you. While it is not possible to reach all the demands, there are also ways you can manage and work with the online world of video.

5 Steps on How to Be a YouTuber

When you start your journey on how to be a YouTuber, there are certain initiatives you can take for the process to work. These are some things I have done for an effective channel and to keep gathering followers.

1. Find Your Voice. There are millions of videos that are published every day. This means that you need to find your voice in the crowd and stand out. Make sure you are sharing content that is unique to you and that your audience is looking to hear this. I believe that this is one of the most important steps when you learn how to be a YouTuber.

2. Know What Your Audience Needs. Spend time gathering information about your audience. Who is looking for your content? What do they need? Why are they looking for you? Remember that you are creating a personal connection to others. This means that you need to be empathic and speak to their needs first.

Finding audience needs is sometimes complex and takes research. You will want to look at trends as well as general concerns with those who are looking for your video. Ask others why they would look for your products or services and what their needs are. You can also reach out to your subscribers to see if there are topics they want you to cover as you develop your content.

3. Prepare to Entertain. When you create your first YouTube videos, there may not be a tone or structure that you have. To stand out from the crowd, make sure you are able to keep the interest of those watching the video. Entertaining means that you are able to captivate and keep the attention of your audience through the entire video. It doesn’t mean you have to juggle or do something that is out of the way, but know how to keep their attention.

 4. Create a Plan.  One of the easiest ways to produce more content for YouTube is to structure a plan. Develop the types of topics you want to cover, the titles they have and how they will work with your channel and be of interest to your subscribers. As you do this, look at the goals you want to reach when you create the videos, such as how many likes, shares or subscribes you will receive.

 5. Know Your Next Steps. If you decide to learn how to be a YouTuber, then don’t stop the process there. If you put a video online, then it stays online and isn’t necessarily going to reach anyone. You also have to market and share the video that you have created. Use social media, your website, blogs or emails to spread the word about your blog. Find specific groups that you know will respond positively when you share your video with them.

There are several strategies and approaches you want to learn how to do when you are learning how to be a YouTuber.

These are all related to what your message is and how it is associated with your videos. If you are going to find your voice and connect to your audience, make sure you are passionate about what you offer.

I think this is the most important part of building a YouTube channel or promoting any product or service. This is what helps me to override any negative comments that are on YouTube.

When I look at the value I provide others and the messages I send, it overrides any other hesitation I have or any feedback I would receive from being a YouTuber.

When you are passionate about your videos and know your purpose for creating them, then you will find that creating the videos becomes easier and more effective.

I’ve found that focusing on the messages I believe provide more value to others, I am able to build more subscribers and the videos often reach a wider audience. Use this as your basis when you learn how to be a YouTuber and you will create an empowering channel for everyone involved.

At the end of the day, the benefits of being a YouTuber outweigh all of the challenges.

I would not be who I am today without my Project Life Mastery Youtube channel. I'm so grateful to all of my subscribers, who saw value in my content, and who decided to watch, like and share my videos.

I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and being a part of my mission. It's because of you that I do what I do, and it is my honor to serve you. In the words of Gandhi, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

I’m not as concerned about the monthly ad revenue that I receive, as I am about how I can further maximize my profits on the backend of my channel. That is what a lot of YouTubers don’t understand because they lack knowledge in the areas of business and marketing. If you can master these two areas, I believe that there is an unlimited potential for success.

I started my YouTube channel on Feb 7, 2012 as a hobby. My channel is all about how to help people improve and master every area of their lives, which includes their health, physical body, mindset, emotions, relationships, business, finances and spiritual life.

When I first started out I had no idea what I was doing. I put out a video every week. Nobody watched my videos, but then after a few months I got traction and it started to take off. Over the last two years, I have published 200 videos/year.

You may think that making $9,000 per month on YouTube is an impressive feat, but I would not depend on YouTube as your sole income stream. It's not sustainable.

At any given moment, YouTube may change their algorithms, which can affect the amount of money that you make every month. I encourage people to use YouTube as a platform to reach, help, and add value to people, but ultimately you want to use it to build your own brand and your email list.

In doing so, you will be able to consistently communicate with your followers and subscribers. You can make a lot more money this way.

The most important factor is the watch time, which is how many minutes that people watch your videos. I have 9 million minutes in the last 30 days. This is what YouTube looks at the most, and how they reward videos.  Likes, dislikes, and comments used to matter a lot more, but now it's all about engagement.

There are a lot of channels out there that have a lot of subscribers, but that doesn’t mean that their videos are great. My main purpose in using YouTube is to add value; I want to create content that will benefit my audience.

When you are consistent on YouTube and you keep publishing high-quality videos, you will eventually hit a tipping point where things blow up.

Here are some tips that can help you grow and scale up your YouTube channel:

1. Frequency

When you first start your YouTube channel you don’t really know if anyone is going to watch your videos. This is where people give up. In order to succeed at youTube, you need to focus on the process, and not on the results (income, revenue, subscribers, etc.).

Building a business doesn't involve instant gratification. You get rewarded for the seeds that you plant today, but you need to consistently nurture those seeds. There are roots that are growing under the ground, but they aren't visible to you.

As long as you continue to stick with it and publish and promote more videos, those seeds will eventually sprout, which may be in the form of a video that gets 100,000 views. This is when the excitement occurs. Keep the faith, be consistent, and don’t give up! If you want to commit to mastery, you need to focus on the long-term.

2. Quality

The quality of your YouTube videos has to be good and they have to add value to the people in your market. That doesn’t mean that your production has to be amazing.

When I first started my channel, I had no audio equipment or lighting, and I filmed my videos on a stack of books. One of my most popular videos to-date was in 2012 when I received 700,000 views.

In that video, my camera fell over and my production was lousy, but it didn’t matter. People were attracted to my content. As the saying goes, “It’s not what you say, but how you say it.” You can engage people merely by how you communicate something.

Understand the niche or market that you are in, research what other successful people on YouTube are doing, and understand the difference between low and high quality videos. If you are putting out 50 videos and they aren't getting traction, you need to ask yourself, “Why aren’t people watching my videos?”

If you want to be successful, you need to constantly look for ways to improve and optimize your business. Quality always gets rewarded. In the words of Tom Peters, “The formula for success is under promise and over deliver.”

The money that you make is in direct proportion to the value that you add.

3. Keyword Optimization

The most effective way to get people to watch your videos is to master keyword optimization. If you want to drive more traffic to your channel, it is important that you create videos based on the keywords that people are searching for, not just necessarily what you want.

You could have the best video out there, but if you aren’t promoting and marketing it in the right way, nobody will be able to find you.

Watch my YouTube video above in order to learn how you can use YouTube to build a successful business and make a significantly larger amount of money than you ever could solely from YouTube ads!

This is how I make $9000 per month on YouTube and how I doubled my YouTube earnings in 3 months. I hope this information has empowered you to tap into the unlimited earning potential that the backend of YouTube provides.

If you are strategic and committed to the process, I guarantee that you can create an impressive passive income revenue stream on YouTube for years to come. If I can do it, so can you!
