YouTube has been a great stream of income for me.

To be honest, I wasn't aware of how much YouTube was paying me for views until recently. I don't like to get caught up in the analytics of my channel because it takes away from my purpose, which is making an impact on people's lives.

If I get too wrapped up in making money for my YouTube videos, it shifts my intention. I end up feeling disconnected from my passion. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the money I've made on YouTube.

I first started on YouTube before YouTube even had an advertising feature on its platform. Over the years I've been witness to how YouTube has grown. Advertisers spend a lot of money to advertise on channels like mine and others.

On average, a YouTube channel can receive $18 per 1,000 ad views. This equates to $3 – $5 per 1,000 video views. A lot of YouTubers have taken advantage of this opportunity and turned it into a viable business.

Some YouTubers make millions of dollars per year just from the ad revenue of their videos. Jimmy Donaldson, the digital celebrity known as Mr. Beast, and other highest-paid YouTubers secured an estimated $211 million in total earnings from June 1, 2019, to June 1, 2020.

I thought it would be interesting for me to share some of the revenue that I've made from my videos. Also, for those of you who want to become YouTubers, I want to give you some tips on how to build a money-making YouTube channel.

Overall, I've made over $1 million in ad revenue from my entire YouTube channel. However, YouTube is not my primary source of revenue. I have many other business models that I'm involved in, but YouTube makes me a lot of money.

People who enjoy my content on YouTube tend to check out the other offerings that I have. Here are my top 2 highest revenue-producing videos on YouTube.

Highest Revenue-Producing Video #1 – She Makes $40,000 Per Month on Amazon at 23 Years Old

In this video, I interviewed my now wife, Tatiana, about her success on Amazon. After filming the video we thought that it may get 10-20,000 views. We've been blown away to see that it now has almost 6 million views!

This video has encouraged so many people to build an Amazon business. Even better, a lot of people have made a lot of money from this one video. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that your content has changed people's lives.

The estimated revenue that I've made from this video has been $87,000 US dollars. This video didn't even have mid-roll ads, meaning that it probably could've made a lot more money. Keep in mind that if you're a beginner YouTuber, it's difficult to achieve this kind of money.

You can't predict which of your videos is going to go viral. Thus, a video like this is difficult to replicate. If you have a video that has over 6 million views, how much you make from it may be based on the topic and the niche of that video.

With a video like this one, more advertisers may be interested in the topic of selling on Amazon. Thus, they are willing to spend more money to advertise in front of it. The target market of these advertisers may be business owners or people who sell on Amazon.

I also publish a lot of self-development videos. I'm not publishing these videos to make money from. Rather, it's because I want to share impactful content that has the power to change people's lives. As a YouTuber, I share things that are relevant to my life and the lives of others. If I can make money at the same time, that's a bonus.

Highest Revenue-Producing Video #2 – How To Sell On Amazon For Beginners

In this video, I walk people through a step-by-step tutorial on how to build a profitable online business using Amazon FBA for beginners. I am a firm believer that Amazon FBA is one of the most life-changing opportunities available today.

This video has 2.1 million views and the estimated revenue that I've made from it has been $81,000 US dollars. Interestingly enough, this video performed better per view than the first video, since it has half of the number of views and only made $6,000 less.

But there's a danger in obsessing about the number of views you get on YouTube.

This proves that there are more opportunities for advertisers to advertise in front of videos like this one. I have a few other videos in the 5-figure to 1 million view range which is awesome. Keep in mind that certain topics will make you more money on YouTube than others.

Some of these video topics include business, marketing, selling on Amazon, investing, and/or real estate. Typically, a lot of advertisers will advertise in front of any videos that are in the financial sector.

However, if you are a YouTuber, make sure that you're not making videos solely for the money. I understand that making money is great. I could have made way more money if I had made that my intention, but it's not.

Ultimately, you want to create content on YouTube because it's something that can make an impact on someone else's life. It's something that is your passion. At times, I've gotten off track and chased opportunities for purpose of making money.

There's nothing wrong with doing this now and then. However, if you get too obsessed with making money from videos, you fall into a danger zone. This is the trend on YouTube – getting people's attention by resorting to anything that will get their attention.

Unfortunately, taking this path can compromise your values. Balance is key. Yes, see what's doing well so that you can further support people.

However, make sure you stay true to yourself. More importantly, always put other people's needs above your own. If you can do that, I trust you will be successful in your YouTube endeavors.

Building a YouTube channel is hard work. However, the payoff is well worth it once you realize how many lives you've impacted through your content.

When I first started my channel, I would have never imagined that 1,000,000 people would be following me, but here I am.

Amazon book publishing was how I got my first taste of success.

Before I discovered book publishing, I was a dating coach. When I was 21 years old, I started my first company called Lifestyle Transformations. I coached thousands of men on how to build confidence so that they could attract a partner into their lives.

Even though I loved my work, it was challenging to market my business and find clients. On top of that, I was trading my time for money. Therefore, there weren't a lot of opportunities to scale my business.

When I discovered the world of Internet marketing and learned about passive income, the game changed. Instead of helping just one person, I realized that I could take my knowledge, package it into an information product and sell it on the Internet.

With this route, I quickly learned that there was no limit to how many people I could reach. One of the first products I ever created was a dating eBook called Creating Success With Women. Inside the book, I shared my story and different strategies that I was teaching through my 1:1 coaching. I spent a year writing that book. 

At the time, I didn't know about Amazon book publishing. I put my book together as a PDF and published it on my website. At first, I tried to sell my book to my clients.  I made a couple hundred bucks from it, but it wasn't life-changing money. However, it proved that publishing books online could be a viable passive income stream. 

I came across Amazon book publishing while trying to figure out how I could make money online through blogging and affiliate marketing. I would write high-quality articles that promoted affiliate products.

To be honest, I never thought that I could make a lot of money from Amazon.

I thought that I could make more money selling my books on my website. Amazon is a search engine. People type in keywords and look for products and books. The only difference between Amazon and Google is that people go to Google to look for free information, while people go to Amazon to buy products. 

I decided to take all of my blog content, compile that knowledge into a series of eBooks, and publish them on Amazon. I soon realized that it was easier to rank a book on Amazon than it was on Google. Surprisingly, I started making money right away.

To make the publishing process easier and scale my business faster, I hired ghostwriters via Upwork.com to write my books. Also, I found designers on Fiverr.com to create book covers for me. During this process, my goal was to experiment and gain a lot of experience in a variety of niches.

I published over 100 books. That was my introduction to Amazon book publishing.  Over the years, the popularity of Amazon has exploded. More people buy and use Amazon than ever. As such, the potential to make money on Amazon is much greater.

However, Amazon has become more competitive in the sense that there are more book publishers. The good news is that Amazon's platform has grown over the years. Today, they have a lot more tools and analytics to help you succeed.

I want to share with you a few strategies for making money by publishing books on Amazon. Let's dive in!

Strategy #1 – Build A Book Publishing Business 

With this strategy, you're creating and publishing books in a certain niche or a variety of different niches. The goal is to make passive income from your books. If you love writing, you can write books yourself.

However, when you're writing a book yourself, it will slow down how many books you can publish because everything is dependent on you. Conversely, you can just focus on publishing and marketing your books. By hiring a ghostwriter you own 100% of the rights to your books.

You have the right to publish your books with whatever name you want. Also, you collect 100% of the profits from your sales. The goal of scaling in a business is that you want to work ON your business instead of IN it. In my opinion, this is how to work smart.

Kindle books are a growing market. A lot of people prefer reading eBooks instead of paperback books. That being said, the biggest market is paperback and hardcover books. There's also a growing market for audiobooks, especially with the emergence of podcasting.

Keep in mind that you get paid differently on each platform. You can make the most money with paperback books. Realistically, you can charge anywhere between $20-$30. Conversely, with Kindle books, you can only charge between $2.99 and $9.99.

You want to consider publishing all three – Kindle, paperback, and audiobook.

A lot of books on Amazon might make you a couple hundred or a couple thousand bucks per month. However, it's hard to make a full-time income from publishing books. Nonetheless, it can be life-changing for some people to make some extra passive income. 

Strategy #2 – Use Your Book To Generate Leads On The Backend

If you don't care as much about the money that you make from a book on the front end, you can use your book as a way to generate leads. If you have a call to action inside of your book, you can funnel people into the product or service that you want to promote on the backend.

A book can be looked at as a form of in-depth content that builds a relationship with people. If your content adds massive value, a percentage of people who buy your book may become customers.

For example, I published a book called 67 Morning Ritual Habits on Amazon. In my business, one of my niches is morning rituals. Back in 2012, I published a video on YouTube that went viral.

I decided to publish a book and made a list of everything that I do for my mind, body, and spirit as part of my morning ritual. I worked with a ghostwriter who wrote about these 67-morning ritual habits.

At the end of my book, I have a call to action that takes people to my website where they can buy my Morning Ritual Mastery course if they want to. Also, inside my book, I share links to affiliate resources and products that I use as part of my morning ritual.

My goal is to get as many people as possible to buy and read my book to acquire customers. A book is a great way to build your credibility and your brand. Tips To Make Money on Amazon KDP

1. Identify Your Niche

If you want to tap into Amazon's search engine, you must do research to make sure that there is a high enough demand for the book that you want to publish. Also, you want to look at the other books that show up and see their Amazon Best Seller Ranking. This will help you determine how much money they are making.

If you publish a book that nobody is searching for on Amazon, you won't make money from it. There are keyword research tools like KDSPY that can help you determine how profitable a niche is. 

Keep in mind that you should market your book outside of Amazon. You've got to build your marketing channel to funnel people into your book. If you do that, Amazon can simply be a platform where you sell your book, and then drive traffic to your book elsewhere.

2. Design An Eye-Catching Title & Cover

You can have a great book in a great niche, but if your title and cover don't grab people's attention, they won't click on your listing. Your Amazon listing is like an advertisement.

A big mistake that people make is that they don't test their title and cover. I like to create three different covers to see which one converts best. I do the same thing with the book title and the price. You need to constantly test, track and optimize. 

3. Write A High-Quality Short Book

When I first started publishing books on Amazon I thought that a book had to be 300 pages long. This is what stops a lot of people from starting. What people don't realize is that you can write a book that's 30-50 pages long and it can still be high in value.

This is a smart strategy in the short term because it allows you to see whether or not your book is selling. If it does, you can go back, make it longer and charge more money. A lot of books that have impacted my life were shorter in length. The best way to perfect a book is to publish something short, get feedback and refine your book over time. 

4. Master Marketing 

If you master marketing, you can sell anything online. The most important skill is getting people's attention, whether that's through running advertisements or creating content. My main skill has been creating content. When I have people's attention I always make sure that I over-deliver.

When you consistently add value to people they will naturally want to buy from you. There are many ways to market your book. You want to utilize what Amazon gives you, which is Amazon search and Amazon ads.

However, what will help you rank in Amazon search is marketing outside of Amazon. Amazon wants you to promote Amazon and help them make more money and get more customers. If you have a money-making book, Amazon will rank your book high in the search results because that book is making them money. In effect, if you scratch their back, they'll scratch your back.

This is how to make money publishing books with Amazon KDP in 2022.

This is a great business model. Look at it for what it is. Don't expect to make millions of dollars from it. Rather, think of it as a passive income stream that can generate leads for your business while building your credibility. It's a win-win.

This is Aymeric Monello's Amazon success story.

Amazon is one of the BEST opportunities for anyone to make money online. Almost 90% of consumers are more likely to purchase a product from Amazon than any other website. Aymeric Monello wanted to get his piece of the Amazon FBA pie and decided to take action with the Amazon wholesale model.

In our interview, Aymeric talks about how he got started with reverse source wholesaling. More importantly, he shares how he used this model to make $700k in sales in his FIRST year on Amazon. Let's dive in!

How did you discover reverse source wholesaling and what inspired you to start selling on Amazon?

Back in 2016, my girlfriend at the time came across a video about selling on Amazon using The Wholesale Formula. I've never done anything business-related. When I first learned about Amazon I was a web designer.

After doing some research, Dan and Dylan's model really resonated with me so I decided to take their course.

What does the reverse source wholesaling model involve? 

It's a pretty simple concept.

It involves looking at what is already selling well on Amazon and sourcing those products. Reverse source wholesaling is a reselling model whereas traditional wholesaling is a manufacturing model. There is no brand creation involved with reverse source wholesaling

When you first started, how much money did you invest? Did you sell one product or multiple products? 

In the beginning, I didn't have a lot of money so I started with a zero percent credit card. I'm not saying that everyone should do that. People need to assess their level of risk.

However, it worked well for me.

I sold everything from supplements and appliances to coffee. The range of products was very eclectic. There was nothing in the same category.

Do you mind sharing the successes that you've had with this model? 

During my first year, I made $700k in sales. In terms of volume, it was REALLY good. Selling supplements was a huge success for me. When you set up a relationship with a supplier, some of them can last a long time while some of them are just mid-term.

It depends on what's happening in the market. I've had connections with suppliers for years. As soon as you have solid connections in place, you can create a consistent stream of income.

My biggest order was around $20,000-$30,000 from one supplier. Of course, it depends on your capital and the velocity of your product. You can build it up over time. That's what I love about this business model.

Were you able to get exclusive partnerships with suppliers, or were you competing with other wholesalers on the same listing? 

I did both. Because I'm originally from France and English is my second language, I experienced some hurdles. In the beginning, it was a new venture for me. I wasn't familiar with all of the business terms.

Sales have never been my strong suit.

I still did it and was successful with it. My strength is diving into one supplier and one listing and making it better over time.

If you're competing for the buy box, how does Amazon determine how much you get paid versus other sellers on that same listing? 

There is a formula that they use to look at the listing and determine how many sellers there are. Also, they have tools that allow you to determine what your share of the buy box is or what the potential share of the buy box will be.

How much time did it take you to set up this business? How much time do you spend on your business now? 

I had a full-time job when I started my Amazon business. The only time that I could work was in the evening. Eventually, I started working on my business while I was working at my 9-5 job.

I took the Wholesale Formula course in Feb of 2016 and I quit my 9-5 job in August of that year.

At the same time, I bought a house. I did everything at once!

Once you are working full-time on your Amazon business, you can dedicate as much or as little time as you want. That decision is always dictated by money. If you don't have a lot of money, you'll want to spend more time researching products so that you have a higher margin.

Conversely, when you have more money, you want to spend it as fast as possible.

The goal is to make your money back and make a profit from it. Back in April of 2019, I had an exclusive brand relationship with a supplier. I ended up selling that relationship for over $400k. What's cool about it is that I retained a relationship with the buyer for business consulting in exchange for a percentage of the profit.

Today, I make $60-80k per year in profit from that consulting deal. My time commitment on that gig is probably 3-5 hours per week. Why? Because at the start of 2018 I started outsourcing and took advantage of virtual assistants.

By doing that, I was able to free up 80% of my time over 3 months. I got my life back. If you have a team of VAs to support you, you can work as little as 5-10 hours per week and still be successful with this business model.

What are some of the biggest challenges that you've faced in this business? 

For me, it has been the language barrier and doing sales. However, following the steps outlined in the Wholesale Formula allowed me to land plenty of accounts.

With regards to the business model, I had to learn what competition was.

More importantly, I had to learn how to handle competition when it arose. Also, I had to learn how to spread my risk and not dive too deep into one product. Keep in mind that I had zero business experience when I started so everything was new for me.

What was your experience going through the Wholesale Formula course?

What advice would you give to someone who has the desire to start an Amazon business?

As I said, I had no experience in business before I started with the Wholesale Formula. I had no idea how to sell on Amazon. What helped me is having mentors and a foundation to follow.

By learning from successful Amazon sellers, I was able to avoid the mistakes. I would have never come up with this business idea had I not found the Wholesale Formula. I would have wasted so much time and money figuring it out on my own.

In our interview, Ian talks about how Amazon wholesaling works. More importantly, he shares how he used this model to create a $90,000 MONTH selling on Amazon. Let's dive in!

How did you get started selling on Amazon, and how did you discover reverse source wholesaling? 

I've been a chef my entire life. I got a full scholarship to culinary school. My entire life I have identified as a chef. It was a huge part of my identity. I always knew that I wanted to own a business. However, I always imagined that I would own a restaurant.

Thank god that didn't happen!

I stumbled into Amazon FBA when I was looking for ways to accrue reward points.

I've always wanted to travel and see the world.

I learned about retail arbitrage and I thought it was a cool opportunity. However, I'm not someone who likes to shop so I suggested that my wife take it on. That's how we got started.

That being said, the moment that she had to create a spreadsheet or do things like bookkeeping, she was done. We started looking for alternative ways to supply inventory. That's when we came across reverse sourcing wholesale.

How does the reverse source wholesaling process work? 

The idea behind reverse source wholesaling is that you go on Amazon to find products that are already selling well.

You identify those products based on a set of criteria. From there, you reach out to the brand owners and ask them if you can buy their product wholesale and sell it on Amazon. Once the brand owners approve you, you can start making money on Amazon.

How would this process work if the products that you want to sell are already selling on Amazon? 

The product needs to be selling on Amazon and should be selling well. If a product is not already selling it won't meet your criteria.

However, if other sellers are selling at the same time as you, you'll need to calculate what your buy box share will be. The buy box will rotate amongst the sellers who are prime eligible. So if there are four sellers you'll get 25% of the total sales, for example.

When you're first getting started, what does the process involve? 

Getting started is pretty simple. You want to scrape Amazon, do a bunch of research, and go through the different products on Amazon.

You're looking for a set of criteria. You'll want to insert all of the products that match the criteria you're looking for into a spreadsheet or CRM software.

When a brand owner agrees to sell you their product, a negotiation process will ensue.

They will send you their price list and have you fill out a new account application.  Typically, brand owners have a minimum order that they want you to place. It could be as little as $250-$500. However, some will be $3,000-$4,000.

If those numbers are too high for you, simply find a new brand owner. In the beginning, I recommend that you order as little as you possibly can. When you're doing this process, the initial step is an estimate. You're using software that guesses what the sales velocity will be.

You don't want to get stuck with inventory that you can't sell. In the beginning, we placed test orders and sent them in, which gave us sales data that helped us confirm if our estimates were correct. Once that is good, you'll want to order one month of inventory at a time.

It took me about one 1-2 months to land my first wholesale account. They are still my wholesale account to this day. That's one of the benefits of the reverse source wholesaling method. Once you find a wholesale account, as long as you're providing value to them, you can keep that account.

Did your success all happen at once or did it take some time? 

Reverse source wholesaling is an inventory-based business model which means that some of your primary restrictions are always going to be your available capital. If you're starting with $1,000 on a credit card, you're going to be able to grow it into something big.

The best month I ever had on Amazon was $95,000.

It took me about 3 years to get to that place. Most months my business settles in at $50-$55,000 in revenue. Once you grow to that point, you can reinvest or start taking a paycheck.

How much time does your business require from you?

It depends on the trajectory and the goals that you have for your business. Initially, I was spending less than 5 hours per week because I was a full-time chef. I was pulling 70-hour workweeks. When I wasn't working, I was spending time with my wife and children. I just didn't want to spend that much time on this business.

The moment that I was able to hire virtual assistants to work for me, the game changed. This proved to be rocket fuel for the growth of my business. They started working 40 hours per week on my business. I quit my full-time job in 2017, which allowed me to invest even more time as well.

Today, I spend 5-10 hours per week working on my business. I'm not actively growing my business right now. Rather, I am going deeper with the accounts that I already have and providing better services so that I can hold onto them, long-term.

As Amazon continues to grow, do you think that the Amazon wholesaling model will be of value to sellers?

It is getting more competitive, but that has always been the case. The rate of competitiveness is not meeting the rate of Amazon's expansion. Most Amazon sellers don't stick around for very long, so that competition falls off.

Persistence pays off. Also, brands are always coming to the Amazon marketplace. They don't know what they are getting into sometimes.

Thus, there is a tremendous opportunity to provide value to them.

I manage five brands in total. You don't need to have a gigantic slice of the Amazon pie. It's your job to carve out a place for yourself. If you get a handful of great brand accounts, you could potentially replace your income.

What is considered a good profit margin with the Amazon wholesaling model?

I'll assume that your business is up and running and you've already got a few brand accounts. When you're at this place, you can expect to see 15-20%.

This profit margin will depend on how much PPC advertising you're running, the rate you negotiate with the brand owner and shipping costs. When you're first starting you have to absorb some fixed costs. The more revenue that you have, the smaller your software subscription percentages become and the bigger your margins are.

How did you come across the Wholesale Formula and what has been your experience with it? 

I first came across the Wholesale Formula inside of a retail arbitrage group that I was a part of. At the time, I was complaining about how I disliked retail arbitrage. Someone inside of the group introduced me to Dan Meadors and Dylan Frost, who are the founders of the Wholesale Formula.

They taught me everything that I know about reverse source wholesaling.

Everything from the criteria that you need to look for, how to identify great products and brands, and how to land great accounts. However, it goes a lot further than that. The model teaches you how to build relationships with brand owners so that you become more valuable to them.

Ultimately, the goal is to have an exclusive right to sell a brand's products on Amazon. Getting to this place in your business means that you've eliminated other Amazon sellers on a listing and you now have 100% of the buy box sales. The Wholesale Formula teaches you how to do that.

What advice would you give to someone who has a desire to make money on Amazon, but isn't sure how to get started? 

I came across a study that said small business owners who start a business while working full-time have an incredible advantage over those who start without a day job. There has never been a better time to start a side hustle.

Amazon FBA presents a huge variety of opportunities. Of those opportunities, I believe in the power of the Amazon wholesaling model. It's the least risky way to start, in the sense that it doesn't require a huge time or monetary commitment.

What was your driving motivation to create success with this business model?

I don't like working for other people. That was my strongest WHY.

I'm very possessive over my time. I want to use my time in my life the way that I want to use it. I always felt that I had a boss that felt entitled to my time. Ultimately, this is why I decided to quit my day job and pursue this business opportunity, full-time. It was the best decision I've ever made.

Are you ready to get your slice of the Amazon pie?

Amazon has provided an incredible opportunity to make money on its platform. The pandemic has accelerated the growth of Amazon's marketplace. Today, shopping online has become the norm. Amazon is fast becoming the largest U.S. retailer in the world.

Analysts project that Amazon's overall revenue for 2022 will be $580.2 BILLION. If you've been wondering if now is the best time to start selling on Amazon, let these numbers be your proof that it is!

Some of the business models are more lucrative than others. Nevertheless, all 5 models can make you money online. Let's dive in!

1. Private Labeling 

When you private label a product, you're simply putting your brand name and logo on it. With private labeling, you're not inventing a new product to sell on Amazon. Rather, you're researching to determine which products are already selling well on Amazon.

Once you've decided on a product that you want to sell, you want to look for a manufacturer, locally or internationally, that is already producing that product. When working with a manufacturer, you will need to determine your ordering quantity.

Most suppliers have a minimum order quantity (MOQ). Depending on the number of units that you buy, you can negotiate the price with the supplier. Once you have placed your order with the supplier, you ship your products to an Amazon fulfillment center. You can find these centers all over the U.S., as well as internationally. Amazon fulfillment centers will then pick, pack and ship your products for you, at a price.

Private label selling is a hands-off process because you're doing a lot of the work from your computer. In reality, you don't even have to touch the product. Once you set up your Amazon listing, you can start selling and generate sales!

Amazon knows when an order has been placed for your product and they ship it to the customer. What's amazing about private labeling products is that you can buy them at a discounted rate and sell them at a higher price.

Typically, the profit margins are 30% and higher. What we love about private labeling is that you get to build your brand. When you're building a brand, you're building an asset. You can earn a big payday in the future if you decide to sell your brand. This is the model that Tatiana followed.

She built a 7-figure Amazon business by private labeling products from China. At one point, she made $500,000 in sales in ONE month. Recently, she sold that business. Her story is proof that private labeling is the most lucrative opportunity on Amazon.

2. Amazon Book Publishing 

Amazon book publishing is an inexpensive and newbie-friendly business model. First, you need to sign up for an account on Amazon's self-publishing platform, called Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).

On this platform, you can publish a Kindle book or a paperback version. They have another platform called ACX, which allows you to publish an audiobook version.

You can either write your book or hire a ghostwriter to write it for you. We highly recommend browsing for writers via Upwork. If you take the ghostwriting route, keep in mind that you still own the rights to your book. You can publish it under your name, a pseudo name, or a pen name.

Also, you'll need a book cover. You can design it on your own or you can hire someone fairly inexpensively on Fiverr to do it for you. Once your book is published on Amazon, you can utilize Amazon's search engine and its advertising platform.

Of course, you also have the option of marketing your book outside of Amazon. The one challenge with Amazon book publishing is that it's harder to scale because you're selling a low-ticket product. However, you can still make a couple of $1,000 per month in passive income.

3. Reverse Sourcing Wholesale

With reverse sourcing wholesale, you are selling someone else's brand. The benefit of this business model is that you don't have to financially invest as much as you do with private labeling. To understand this business model, you have to understand how traditional wholesale works.

With traditional wholesale, you find a manufacturer, at which point they send you their catalog. Your job is to choose several products that you want to sell and place your order. The challenge with traditional wholesale is that you don't know if those products are going to sell.

Reverse sourcing wholesale does the opposite. It involves doing research on Amazon and finding products that are already selling well, or that have the potential to sell well. Once you find a product that you want to sell, you want to contact the manufacturer or brand owner.

You want to ask them if you can buy their products at a wholesale price and sell them on Amazon. This business model is risk-free, which is why it's a great way to get started selling on Amazon.

You don't even have to create your own Amazon listing. Rather, you just have to piggyback on what an Amazon seller has already created. Keep in mind that if you want to be successful with this model you have to contact A LOT of brand owners.

You've got to have a compelling reason as to why you want to sell their brand. The goal is to add value. This may look like helping brand owners build their social proof on Amazon or improve the quality of their listing.

Eventually, someone will say yes. However, it will take time and patience. Currently, Tatiana and I are learning how this business model works from Dylan Frost and Dan Meadors.

They are the founders of The Wholesale Formula Method. They have made $30 million in Amazon sales with reverse sourcing wholesale, proving that there is a lot of money to be made with this business model.

4. Amazon Affiliate Marketing 

Amazon has an affiliate program called Amazon Associates. Anyone can join. However, to be approved, you need to have a website. If you don't have a website yet, it is fairly easy to set one up.

Once you get approved for Amazon's affiliate program, you can earn an affiliate commission by promoting ANY product on Amazon. When people click on your affiliate link and purchase a product through you, you will earn an affiliate commission from it.

Unfortunately, the downfall with this business model is that affiliate commissions are quite low. Usually less than 5%. However, if you're promoting high-ticket products on Amazon, like TVs or jewelry, your commissions will be higher.

Also, with Amazon affiliate marketing, you need to get your own traffic. This means that you may have to set up a blog, write articles and learn how to attract people to your blog. Alternatively, you could promote Amazon products on a YouTube channel.

If you want to achieve success with affiliate marketing, you must learn how Internet marketing works. The great thing about Amazon Affiliate Marketing is that it complements any of the other business models.

If you're building a brand, you can recommend other similar products that complement yours, and be an affiliate for those as well. Oftentimes, Amazon Associates is used for people who are already selling on Amazon, whether that's through private labeling or books.

You can be an affiliate for your products. This is a great way to make some additional money. More importantly, it helps you set up tracking links to see where your Amazon sales are coming from. 5. Retail Arbitrage

Retail arbitrage involves buying products at a discount from garage sales or thrift stores and reselling them online for a profit.

Amazon has an Amazon Sellers app where you can scan barcodes to see how many products are selling on Amazon. This will help you determine what your estimated profit would be if you bought a product at a certain price.

The challenge with his model is that you've got to hustle. There are no guarantees. However, it is a good way to make some extra cash.

A more scalable route is online arbitrage. It's similar to retail arbitrage except that you're doing it online. This involves going to websites like Walmart.com and looking for items in the clearance or sales section.

You want to determine how much profit you could make if you were to buy a product at a discounted price and sell it on Amazon at the full price. If the profit is significant enough, you can buy a certain number of units of that product on Walmart.com. From there, you would ship those products to an Amazon fulfillment center and sell them on Amazon for a profit.

This business model can be time-consuming, but it's a great side hustle if you're committed to it.

If you want to create financial freedom, Tatiana and I both recommend that you pursue private labeling. Reverse sourcing wholesale is also a lucrative option. At the end of the day, you need to decide which model suits you best.

However, not everyone is willing to do what is required to achieve success. If you are ready to go all-in, I want to share 3 things that you need to think about before starting your entrepreneurial journey. If the concept of making money online is new for you, it may feel like it's too good to be true.

I know that's how I felt when I read the book The 4 Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. Most of us have grown up in environments where we've been conditioned to believe that success means going to university to get a 9 to 5 job. The expectation is that when we're 65 years old, we'll finally be able to retire and enjoy life.

The Internet has transformed the way that people work. In today's digital world, there are endless opportunities to make money online from the comfort of your home. If you are ready to start designing life on your terms, let's dive into 3 things that will help fast-track your entrepreneurial success.

1. Get Clear On What You Want 

You need to get clear on what you want out of an online business and why you want to build one. First and foremost, you must identify which business model is the best opportunity for you to pursue.

There are endless opportunities to make money online, so much so that it can be overwhelming to choose one. However, you will have a higher probability of success if you pursue the right one for you. Knowing which business model is most in alignment with your goals/values will save you a lot of failures.

How much money do you want to make online? If you want to make 7-figures per year, there are specific opportunities that will help you achieve that goal. However, if you just want to make some extra money on the side, the direction that you take will look very different.

What kind of lifestyle do you want to live? Do you want to make active income or passive income? Active income requires that you trade your time for money, whereas passive income requires little work or no active involvement to generate ongoing revenue.

Don't get me wrong… you can still make a lot of money as an influencer, a YouTuber, or a coach. However, if your goal is to become financially free, you want to focus on earning passive income. 

What is your long-term vision?

When you start a business you want to get clear on your long-term vision. There are a lot of people online who sell get-rich-quick schemes. Don't be seduced by these false promises. Instead, adopt a long-term mentality and strive to build a passive income stream that will scale and grow over many years to come. 

2. Identify Your Niche

An entrepreneur is someone who gets paid to solve people's problems at a profit. It's your job to identify which demographic of people you want to serve. When it comes to identifying your niche, start by writing down a list of skills, areas of expertise, or passions that you have.

If you have a passion for whatever niche your business is in, you'll be more motivated. In turn, you'll be able to grow and scale your business faster. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? What is it about these activities that make you come alive inside? Answering these questions will help you determine what you're passionate about. 

If you try to build a business that you don't have any interest in, you'll lose momentum. This is why a lot of people give up too quickly. From my experience, money is not the best long-term motivator.

I recommend choosing a business opportunity that is in alignment with the vision that you have for your life. This is why I decided to build Project Life Mastery. I love personal growth and development and I wanted an outlet where I could share and help others.

My work fulfills my needs at the deepest level. That is something that money cannot buy. If you can align your passion with your work, you'll have a huge competitive advantage.

Once you've decided on your niche, research entrepreneurs who have already built successful businesses in the niche that you've chosen. Learn from their experiences and model their success. 

3. Find An Online Course Or Coach

I recommend that you find cutting-edge courses or a coach that can help you build your business the right way. You want to get access to the best strategies that will give you a roadmap to success.

This is how I have learned how to build an online business. I would not have achieved the success that I have today if I tried to learn everything on my own. To be honest, I probably would have given up. I used whatever money that I had to invest in the right training and education.

Yes, you can build a business through trial and error and figure everything out on your own. However, taking this route will cost you a lot of time and energy. On top of that, it will be very challenging. This is why a lot of people end up giving up on their business altogether. 

Building a business is like going into the jungle and trying to find the treasure. You know a treasure exists. However, if you don't have a map, it will be really difficult to find the treasure. You'll likely get lost and run into a lot of dead ends. Eventually, you may find the treasure but it will probably take a lot of time.

On the other hand, what if I told you that I could give you a map to help you navigate your way through the jungle?

You'll be guided down the right path so that you don't take any wrong turns. Even better, imagine that you had a guide that walked you through the jungle to find the treasure. Which option would you choose? I think the answer is obvious. 

If you want to make money online, do these 3 things first.

These 3 things will require that you are laser-focused, committed, and determined. If you take action on them and adopt a long-term vision, you will set yourself up for entrepreneurial success.

Making money online can be one of the most life-changing decisions you'll ever make. Go all-in from the beginning and whatever you do, don't quit. You've got this!

That being said, you can be successful with ANY of the 7 business models that I talk about. However, it will come down to your capacity to implement, execute and take massive action. Nothing will work unless YOU do the work. On that note, let's dive in!

1. Freelancing 

Since the onset of the pandemic, a lot of companies have transitioned their businesses online. They are looking to hire people from all over the world. Being a freelancer is when you operate as an independent contractor and provide a service for other companies online.

Freelance services may include things like graphic design, copywriting, data entry, or customer support. The most popular freelance websites are Upwork and Fiverr. If you explore these websites you will get an idea of what kinds of services you can offer, based on your experience and skillsets.

Freelancing is a great option for a lot of people. Yes, you're still trading your time for money. However, this mode of working allows you to change your lifestyle. You no longer have to go to a 9 to 5 job. Rather, you can work from home, or anywhere in the world for that matter.

2. Becoming An Influencer 

An influencer is someone who has a strong following of people online, whether that's on YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook. The key to being a great influencer is choosing one platform that you want to attract people through.

On this platform, you want to create a lot of high-quality content. I love to speak, teach and coach. This is why YouTube has been the most effective platform for me. I take my YouTube videos and turn them into podcasts which I publish on Apple, Spotify, and Google Play.

Being an influencer is a skill. It might not resonate with you. Some people have the personality for it, while others do not. If you like the idea of being in the spotlight, you'll love it. If you can attract a sizable following, there's a lot of opportunities to make money as an influencer.

Companies will pay influencers to promote their products through sponsored content. Influencer marketing uses endorsements and product mentions from individuals (aka, influencers) who have a dedicated social following and are viewed as experts within their niches.

As an influencer, you can be selective about which companies you want to promote. Some platforms already have built-in advertising systems. For example, YouTube has advertisements on every video.

If you have content on YouTube, you can make money from other advertisers who are bidding for placement on your videos. Every time those ads get displayed, you make money.

The three platforms that I would recommend (in order of power) would be YouTube, podcasts, and blogging.

If you have a sizable following or you get a lot of traffic on your blog, you can take advantage of advertising opportunities with Google Adsense or individual sponsorships with companies.

Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok are also effective social platforms. However, because you can only create shorter form pieces of content on these platforms, it's tougher to make as much money.

3. Affiliate Marketing 

This is the process where you promote someone else's product. You get paid a commission every time someone clicks on your affiliate link and buys a product. Many companies have free affiliate programs. This is one of the best ways for companies to market their products.

For example, if you become an influencer and you have a large following of people, affiliate marketing can allow you to monetize. You can find great quality products that you believe in and share those products with your audience, using an affiliate link, in a blog post or a YouTube video.

Affiliate marketing is one of my favorite ways to make money online because you don't have to create a product. Also, it's inexpensive to get started. Your only responsibility is to promote someone else's product to the existing traffic, audience, or following that you have.

4. Book Publishing

As a book publisher, you can sell and publish books on Amazon. As many of you know, Amazon is the largest online book retailer. They have a platform called Kindle Direct Publishing which allows anyone to publish any book that they want on Amazon.

You can publish a book as a Kindle book, a paperback, or an audiobook. All three ways of selling a book online can allow you to make passive income. 

With book publishing, there are two ways to create a book. One way is by writing your book. The second way is by hiring a ghostwriter to write your book for you. You can publish a book under a company name or as a pen name. Nobody has to know who you are. Alternatively, you can use your name.

The great thing about book publishing is that it doesn't cost a lot of money to start. If you decide to write your book yourself, all you need to spend money on is a book cover. I would suggest spending some money on marketing and promoting your book. 

Before you start writing your book, you need to identify a niche, topic, or genre that you want to write a book on. Also, you'll have to do some research to ensure that there is enough demand for the niche that you choose.

There are many different ways that you can do book publishing online. However, Amazon is the best way because of the opportunities that they provide. Amazon is the go-to place to buy books.

They have created trust with millions of customers around the world. On top of that, they handle a lot of the heavy lifting for you. If you know how their search engine works and how to rank your book for different keywords, you can get traffic and sales to your book. Amazon also has an advertising feature that allows you to advertise your book on their platform.

The one challenge with selling books is that you're selling a low-ticket product. Books sell for $10-20. You need a lot of book sales to make a lot of money.

If you want to grow a 6-7 figure income, selling books isn't the best way to go. However, the way that you can grow and scale your book publishing business is if you combine some of the different models that I talk about above.

For example, if you're a blogger, you can promote your book on your blog. At the same time, you could also do affiliate marketing. Strive to make multiple streams of income.

5. Amazon FBA

Amazon FBA is the process of selling physical products on Amazon. As I mentioned above, Amazon is the biggest online retailer in the world. It's where people go to buy stuff online. They are called “the everything store” for a reason.

You can be a third-party seller on Amazon. This means that you can sell any product that you want if you sign up for an Amazon Seller Central account. The best way to sell products on Amazon is through a process called private labeling.

This means that you'll find products that are already selling on Amazon and source that product from a supplier. Once you've done that, you will ship the number of units that you order to Amazon's fulfillment center. Once you've set up your Amazon listing, you can start selling your product online and make money from it.

Amazon has hundreds of millions of customers that you can tap into, which is why this is the best platform to start selling on. Eventually, you can move over to Shopify and have your own store.

Keep in mind that it will cost you a couple thousand dollars to get started selling on Amazon. Also, it can take about 3 months to launch a product on Amazon. That being said, I believe that Amazon FBA offers one of the best opportunities to make money online.

6. Info Products

In today's digital world, if people want to learn something, they go to the Internet. Self-education has become the new norm. If you have a specific skill set or expertise, you can create a step-by-step online course.

You can include a membership feature and sell it online as an info product for whatever amount of money that you want. Selling online courses can be quite profitable.

The one downside of this model is that it is not beginner-friendly and there are more expenses involved. Not only do you need to have valuable knowledge that you can teach, but the overall creation of a course is a lot of work.

I would suggest waiting until you have more experience selling online before launching an info product. Nonetheless, this is a great way to make money and help a lot of people at the same time.

7. Coaching 

Coaching is all about inspiring people to grow and become the best versions of themselves. If you have the desire to make a difference in the lives of others, I celebrate you.

The best way to build a client list is by driving organic traffic to your website. The secret to engaging with your audience and building your brand credibility is delivering high-quality content consistently via social media, YouTube videos, live streams, etc. Once you've created trust with your audience and they have benefited from your free content, eventually they will come to you for coaching.

Keep in mind that coaching will not lead to passive income. However, it is very fulfilling work. There is no greater feeling than knowing that you have made a positive impact on someone's life.

These are 7 proven ways to make money online in 2022.

Reflect on each of these opportunities and identify which niche you want to build a business around. You don't want to do all of these business models at the same time. Rather, you want to start with one, master it, and then add more over time.

Eventually, I recommend combining these models into one online business. Creating lasting multiple streams of income is the best way to build a lifetime of wealth.

Why should you get into affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is the process whereby you earn a commission by promoting someone else's product.

Here's a quick breakdown of how it works:

You find a company that has an affiliate program and then join that program and get an affiliate link. Your goal is to share this link with any many people as you can. For every person who clicks on your affiliate link and buys the product that you're promoting, you will earn an affiliate commission.

Not only is affiliate marketing beginner-friendly, but you can also add massive value to a community by promoting others' products and services. Herein lies the beauty of this business model – you aren't responsible for creating a product.

Trust me when I say that it's not easy to create a product from scratch. There are a lot of risks involved. As an affiliate marketer, your only responsibility is to bring traffic to a product and promote it successfully.

I want to walk you through the steps of what it takes to start making $10,000 a month with affiliate marketing. Let's dive in!

1. Find a quality product & offer

This is where your money is going to be made. When you're first starting, you may have to try out a few different affiliate programs and products to determine which one is going to generate the most sales for you.

You want to pick one product and get behind it. What has allowed me to achieve so much success as an affiliate marketer is that I act AS IF a product is my own. I only promote products that I believe everyone will benefit from.

An example of this is the Oura Ring. This is a product that I am an affiliate for. It's an incredible device that I use every single day. I believe in it so much because it has drastically improved the quality of my sleep and overall life.

I've even gone so far as to gift the Oura Ring to my friends and family members. When you have this kind of passion for a product, you will put in the effort to promote it to as many people as you can. 

When it comes to promoting products, you have to be careful that you don't dilute your focus. You have to decide which products will be the best opportunities for you to pursue and generate the most revenue.

Oftentimes, I try to double down on products like these, instead of trying to promote a million different products at once. When you're looking for a great quality product to promote you want to make sure that it has amazing marketing and a great affiliate program. I would focus on mid or high-ticket products that pay you a great affiliate commission. 

2. Master marketing 

The good news is that you don't have to master everything. Whatever product you decide to promote, you only have to master one way to drive traffic to that offer. When I first started, I got good at blogging and search engine optimization. I learned as much as I could. That being said, I didn't achieve success right away.

As an example, at the beginning stages of building my YouTube channel, I didn't get thousands of views and subscribers right away. It took several months to get people to even notice me, let alone watch my videos. None of this would have been possible had I not been consistent with my efforts.

Once you get your traffic strategy down pat, all you need to do is rinse and repeat, and scale-up. One of the most powerful strategies for making money with affiliate marketing that has worked for me has been creating A LOT of content.

The content that I publish on my blog or YouTube channel is evergreen, meaning that it's there forever. I have pieces of content that I created 7 years ago that continue to provide me with passive income to this day. That's pretty awesome.

3. Build an email list

If you want to build a $10,000 a month affiliate marketing business, you need to be making money consistently. The way that you do this is by building a funnel. If you're creating content and you're getting traffic, you want to direct people into a funnel where you can collect their email addresses.

Building an email list gives you the ability to get consistent sales because you can write out an email follow-up series. Within these emails, you can promote affiliate offers. This can help you create a consistent stream of revenue, and eventually scale your business to $10,000 a month.

4. Create an irresistible offer 

Once you have a product that is converting well and making you money, the way to ramp that up is to make your offer even more irresistible. Incentivize people to buy a product by giving them MORE than what they are paying for. This is when you're stacking the deck in their favor.

When I get behind certain products, I always think about how I can complement a product. I ask myself, “What else can I offer or give?” I may even create complimentary bonuses, video training, PDFs, cheat sheets, or checklists to help support a product. Whenever I've done this, I've created raving fans.

This is how you make $10,000 a month with affiliate marketing.

If you decide to build an affiliate marketing business, remember that it is not a way to get-rich-quick. It takes time to create revenue. However, if you're committed to the process and don't give up, there is no limit to how successful you can be.

An online business is a life-changing opportunity.

Over the last decade, I've built multiple six-figure online businesses. As a result, I've been able to travel the world, live a laptop lifestyle, and create financial freedom. I'm not going to lie… I had to fail a lot before I was able to create the success that I have today.

Instead of putting my head in the sand, I consistently failed forward, meaning that I purposefully used my failures as opportunities for growth. In short, I was willing to do ANYTHING to achieve success. I don't want you to make the same mistakes that I made.

The high rate of failure of small businesses is in great part because most people pursue the first business model they come across without taking the time to reflect upon what kind of business best suits their values and lifestyle.

I want to provide you with some empowering questions that will help to leverage your success. Before you take action to build a business, I want you to take out a pen and paper and reflect upon these 7 questions.

Ultimately, your answers to these questions will set you up to win and will save you a huge amount of time, energy, and money. Let's dive in!

1. What's your experience?

If you are a newbie to the online business world, there are some great easy-to-start business ideas like Amazon book publishing or affiliate marketing. The great thing about affiliate marketing is that you don't have to create anything yourself. Rather, you just have to promote other peoples' products and services.

Conversely, if you already have experience with Internet marketing, you could explore more intermediate business opportunities, like selling physical products on Amazon.

If you're already making money online, and are looking to make more passive income, you could create online courses or software. However, I wouldn't recommend these two business ideas if you're a beginner. It can cost a lot of money and there are a lot of moving pieces involved.

First, determine whether you are beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Then, based on what your current level of experience is, reflect upon the existing skills or knowledge that you have that you can leverage to your advantage.

For example, before I created my YouTube channel, I was a coach. As part of that business, I facilitate workshops and events. At the time, I was also doing a lot of personal development work around public speaking. I wanted to improve my communication skills. Thus, when I started my YouTube channel in 2012, I already had knowledge, skills, and abilities that I could leverage. That gave me a leg up and a head start in building my YouTube channel to where it is today.

2. How much money is required? 

Every business will cost you money to run. If you don't have money to invest in your business, you can still start a business. However, keep in mind that it will take a lot longer to build. If you had to choose between spending money to save yourself time or spending time to save yourself money, I would always choose to spend money to save time.

Time is more valuable than money.

You can always make more money, but you can never get more time. Whatever business model that you decide to pursue, do research to determine how much money you're going to need to successfully run it.

For example, selling physical products on Amazon can cost thousands of dollars to start. It all depends on how much inventory that you start with, on top of the tools and software you may need. You don't want to start an opportunity that you don't have money for.

On the other hand, affiliate marketing doesn't cost much money to start. All you need is a way to get traffic, which you can get for free by creating a blog or a YouTube channel. There is no physical inventory involved with this business model. Rather, your sole responsibility is promoting other peoples' products and services.

Similarly, you can publish a book on Amazon. If you write the book on your own, the only expense you will have is hiring someone to create a book cover. This can be done very inexpensively. In 24 hours or less, you can publish your book on Amazon for free and have it available for purchase.

3. What or who can help you?

I encourage you to find mentors, coaches, or online courses that can help you create online business success. There are people who have achieved the success that you desire. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Why not shortcut your learning curve and get to where you want to go faster?

Don't get me wrong… it's not that you can't succeed on your own. However, trust me when I say that this is a great way to lose a lot of time, energy, and money. This is why a lot of people give up. Whenever I start a new business venture, I always look for experts I can learn from. This is what gives me a competitive advantage.

4. How much time can you commit? 

Committing to the idea of starting an online business is just the beginning. If you want to grow a profitable business, you must take massive action on a consistent basis. Some businesses may only require that you work a couple of hours per week, while others may require 10-30 hours per week.

Work at whatever your pace is. If you only have a few hours every week to work on your online business, that's OK. However, if you take this route, you have to accept that it will take longer for you to achieve success. The more time that you have to invest in your business, the further ahead you will get.

That being said, regardless of how much time you have to invest, you must embrace a long-term view. If you're a newbie to the online business world, make sure that you set realistic expectations from the onset and be flexible in your approach.

An online business is NOT a get-rich-quick opportunity. You have to be willing to delay instant gratification and be patient with the process. Will there be times when you get frustrated and want to give up? Absolutely.

Every time that you face an obstacle, remind yourself of why you started in the first place, dig deep, and keep moving forward. It doesn't matter how slow you go, just don't stop.

5. What is your goal?

You need to figure out why you want to start an online business. Your WHY guides every single thing that you do in your online business. Your WHY is your purpose and the one thing that will inspire you to take action every day and not give up when things get tough.

As Simon Sinek says, “People don’t buy WHAT you do; they buy WHY you do it.” Do you want to start an online business because you want to quit your 9 to 5 job and work from home, or do you merely want to make some passive income on the side?

Thinking bigger, do you have the desire to create a massive impact in the world through your work, or to become a multi-millionaire and retire at 40? Anything is possible! Based on how you answer this question, there will be certain online business models that will be a better fit for you.

6. What business are you most excited about?

I could tell you which online business model I think that you should pursue and make money with. However, the reality is that if you don't believe in the model, and you aren't excited to do it, you won't take action on it.

Tatiana's first way of making money online was through Amazon book publishing. She made some money with that business model, but she was more drawn to selling physical products on Amazon. Having a physical product felt more real for her.

She was more excited about this business opportunity. Thus, she was more motivated to take massive action. As a result, she went on to create huge success.

So, which business model excites you the most, and why? At the end of the day, whatever business model that you believe in is the best one for you.

When you are passionate about the work that you do, it won't feel like work because you will be living on purpose. In the words of Confucius – “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.

7. Are you willing to commit?

Whichever online business model that you decide to pursue, you need to ask yourself if you are willing to commit to it for at least 6-12 months. Anything less than that, don't bother.

If you're just looking to get rich quickly, you'll only dabble and waste your time. Building an online business takes a lot of time, energy, money, and grit.

You are not going to see results right away. However, if you consistently take action and stay committed to your long-term vision, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to succeed. Hard work always pays off.
