Are you ready to enjoy life more? If so, it's time to let go of control and start trusting the process.

If you want to reach your desired destination, it is imperative that you surrender to the process, no matter how difficult it is.

Unfortunately, a lot of people get obsessed with the final outcome and forget about the journey altogether. Not surprisingly, they give up when things get tough.

Don't allow fear to get in the way of your success. By allowing life to reveal itself to you, you will live more in the present moment. That's where the magic lies.

Watch the video below where I talk about how to overcome the fear of starting a business:

What is stopping you from trusting the process?

For a lot of people, fear can play a huge role in this resistance. Fear is a natural response to life – fear about money, relationships, health, career. The list goes on and on. You may not realize it, but your brain is wired to always be on the lookout for potential threats to your safety. Research shows that the “fight, flight, freeze” message it sends to the body is still operating on that hair-trigger response to your surroundings.

Despite this, you cannot use this as an excuse to not try. Don't allow fear to control every decision that you make in life. I see too many people that allow fear to stop them from following their dreams, achieving their goals, or making changes in their lives. In short, they give in to fear's grip and accept whatever is given to them. Here's the thing… failure is a critical component to achieving success in life. If you're not failing, that means that you're not trying hard enough.

When it comes to achieving goals, don't get caught up in the need for things to happen right away. This mentality is what causes a lot of people to give up altogether. If you want to experience success in life, you cannot dabble. Instead, you've got to be willing to go all-in.

Why? Because the journey to success is never linear. It's a bumpy road with a lot of unexpected twists and turns. If you are constantly chasing shiny objects and searching for the next best thing, you are going to miss out on a whole lot of life. In today's fast-paced world, the more people have, the more they want. This creates a messy downward spiral of discontentment.

Living for tomorrow doesn't create long-lasting happiness.

I'm not saying that it's not important to dream big and get excited about what is yet to come, but if you are too future-focused, you won't win the race. Let go of the need to control the outcome. Success doesn't happen in the blink of an eye. Great achievements take time, patience and sacrifice. This is why you've got to be a master who flows with life instead of resisting every obstacle that comes your way.

In his best-selling book, The Secret Of Letting Go, Guy Finley says, “Any moment you feel resistance or pain, look for, and then let go of, the hidden expectation. Practice giving yourself over to what you don't want. Let the nervousness make you shake. Be where your body is, not where your mind is trying to take you.”

Trusting the process is a journey in and of itself. What would happen if you started to embrace change, be okay with the unknown and stopped trying to control everything? That may sound like a lot, but it comes down to a decision. A decision to commit to the process.

You may not realize it but you are exactly where you need to be. Sit with that and let it sink in. Let's explore 4 ways that you can let go of control and trust the process, which will, in turn, allow you to enjoy life more.

1. Embrace The Unknown

By nature, humans dislike ambiguity of any kind. Anything that doesn't feel safe, stable and comfortable feels dangerous. In his book, Nonsense: The Power Of Not Knowing, Jamie Holmes explores the notion that people have an impulse to want to understand, reach conclusions, and take control. In his words, “Not knowing doesn't leave us without a compass, in some relativist neither land. Owning our uncertainty makes us kinder, more creative, and more alive.”  There is power in the unpredictable.

When everything is predictable, you end up living your life based on a series of familiar patterns. Hence, you end up attracting the exact same experiences over and over again. This way of living only ends up shutting you off from the many possibilities that life offers. If you want to grow, you can't be safe. This is why you need to learn how to embrace the unknown and get comfortable being uncomfortable.

The fact of the matter is that we don't know what life will present us with. All that we can do is be open to what life has to offer and trust that life is happening for you, not to you. Be okay with not always knowing how things are going to work out. All that you have control over is your emotional state. Focus on that and you will thrive.

2. Live On Purpose

When in doubt, focus on your purpose. Trusting the process is about not dwelling on the challenges that will occur on your journey to success. Rather, it's about having belief and faith that every lesson is bringing you one step closer to living in alignment with your purpose in life. The problem is that a lot of people get caught in the trap of achievement.

If you aren't careful, achievement can become very addictive, to the point where it is easily mistaken for fulfillment and happiness. In my experience, achievement without fulfillment leaves you feeling lost and sad. Early on in my career, there was a point where I was making a lot of money but I wasn't happy because I wasn't doing meaningful work. My identity was attached to what I did for a living, instead of who I was. When I finally found my purpose the game changed.

You have a gift that is unique to you.

You didn't have to achieve anything in order to access this state. Unfortunately, I hear a lot of people tell me that they can't find their life purpose. Here's the problem. It isn't something that you need to find. Rather, your purpose is something that finds you, but in order for that to happen, you have to be open to it. It's the inner voice that is begging you to listen.

Don't get caught up on needing to know where your purpose will lead you. That is just your ego trying to control the direction of your life will take. Just find something that makes you come alive inside and allow life to unfold without worrying about the outcome. If you can trust the process of becoming the best version of yourself and live every day on purpose, you will be supported in the most beautiful of ways.

3. Practice Gratitude

Our perspective on life dictates the thoughts that we feel and the decisions that we make. Oftentimes, it's the need for wanting more that causes a lot of people to live their lives from a place of lack. If you don't think that there is enough of anything in your world, naturally you will assume that this is a normal way of life. The line of thinking is, “Life is hard.”

What is worst, this mentality takes people away from the present moment, where the good resides. This is why it's so important to express gratitude for yourself and others. When you do so, it's a way of thanking the Universe for supporting you, which allows you to soften into your life instead of feeling like you need to control everything in it.

Let's face it… there are some things in life that we cannot change. However, we always have control over our state. Research shows that feeling grateful has been associated with less frequent negative emotions and thoughts, more frequent positive emotions, greater meaning in life, more positive coping, and a great appreciation for life. What are you thankful for?

Make gratitude a daily practice. The more gratitude that you show, the more that you will enjoy your life. It's that simple. The next time that something isn't going as planned, step back, take a deep breath and remember how blessed you are.

4. Stay In The Here and Now

People are always worrying and planning for the next thing that's going to happen in their lives. Too much time is spent lost in thought, reliving old memories, or daydreaming about what could be. There is only one place where you have any control over and that's in the present moment, so why bother ruminating about what hasn't even happened yet? Where you currently are is more than enough. You don't need to go anywhere else.

A great way to be more present is to start your day slowly, which is where a morning ritual is helpful. Instead of diving into your day and getting stuck in negative thought loops, find stillness in simple activities that allow you to connect with yourself on a deeper level.

This could be in the form of meditating, drinking hot water with lemon, walking in nature, reading a book, or reciting mantras to yourself. As Buddha once said, “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”

You cannot stop your thoughts from happening, However, you can become more mindful of them. Become an observer of your thoughts, acknowledging that they come and go. This is a great way to calm the inner chatter that tries to take you away from the present moment. The reality is that true happiness in life isn't found through achievement. Rather, it's about being comfortable in the here and now and finding beauty in the simple things in life.

Slow down and enjoy life to the fullest.

If you can slow down and allow life to unfold instead of controlling everything, the Universe will reward you for it. As Emmanuel Teney says, “As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit.” When you are able to master the process, the results come naturally.

Never sacrifice your happiness for success. Happiness and success are two very different things. I’m not saying that we don’t need goals to motivate and inspire us to take action, but the achievement of our goals is not the only thing that determines our happiness.

We have been conditioned to believe that external things are responsible for creating our happiness, but this illusion of happiness is far from true. As long as you believe that your happiness is associated with something that is outside of yourself, you will not be happy.

Do you sacrifice your happiness for success? If so, I’m here to share the reasons why this is a bad idea. Success is not a reflection of happiness. Rather, how happy you are is the truest measure of success. In the words of Tony Robbins, “Success without happiness is failure.”

Never sacrifice your happiness for success, because the reality is that nothing in the external world is going to make you happy and fulfilled. If you base your happiness on the acquisition of temporary things, then your happiness will be temporary.

Dr. Thomas Gilovich, a psychology professor at Cornell University who has studied the relationship between money and happiness, suggests that, “One of the enemies of happiness is adaptation.” He adds further, “We buy things to make us happy, and we succeed. But only for a while. New things are exciting to us at first, but then we adapt to them.”

Oftentimes, once people achieve what it is that they believe will make them happy, they instinctively seek out something else to make them even happier. The never-ending cycle of ‘wanting’ happiness continues.

According to a professor of Psychology at Denver University, Iris Mauss, wanting to be happy can make you less happy and if you explicitly and purposely focus on happiness that can have a self-defeating effect.

Have you ever wondered why some successful people are unhappy?

Research shows that there are now 2,089 billionaires in the world, however the richest people aren’t always the happiest.

A new study co-funded by the Gates Foundation portrays the ultra-rich as lost souls burdened by the fears, worries and family distortions of too much money. This study proves that while money affords us the luxury to have and do nice things, it doesn’t buy happiness. This is why you should never sacrifice your happiness for success.

Happiness is found by understanding your true nature. It is not something that happens to you. Rather, it is a choice that you make every day. When you live in alignment with your true self, it allows you to live out your true life purpose, and that is where happiness lies.

You could decide to be happy right now just by deciding what it is that you are grateful for, and consciously changing your physiology. Doing things like smiling, breathing, and meditating will accomplish this goal. If you are living a life that is filled with things that you are passionate about and you are living in alignment with your mission, then you will feel as if you are succeeding, on your terms.

Never sacrifice your happiness for success, and don’t be fooled into thinking that that happiness and success are one and the same. Above all, choose happiness.

You can play your cards right in the pursuit of attaining success, but happiness is not something that is guaranteed. You need to actively create it and define what it means for you. Decide to be happy right now!

In the words of Ingrid Bergman, “Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get.” When you make the choice to be happy, success will follow naturally.

Today I would like to walk you through my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity. This routine allows me to optimize my body, mind, and spirit so that I can perform at my best, every day.

I’m a big believer in the power of rituals. I’ve been doing them since I was 17 years old. I used to struggle with shyness, social anxiety, and depression.

By creating a morning ritual, I was able to recondition my beliefs and transform every area of my life.

The morning is the best time to condition your mindset. Research shows that your mood in the morning affects your productivity all day.

Are you ready to wake up every day, feeling more productive, energized, and happier? My morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity will allow you to make that happen.

Discipline is one of greatest barriers that prevent people from achieving success in life. If you want to build habits that stick, you need to be consistent with them. In the words of Tony Robbins says, “The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.”

How you start the day is how you end the day. If you only engage in a habit once in a while, it won’t stick. It’s what you do consistently that makes the difference.

How do you start your mornings?

If you wake up in a reactive state, you will move throughout your entire day feeling stressed and anxious. A lot of people believe that they need a triple espresso as soon as they get out of bed. This way of thinking is counterintuitive.

My morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity provides me with a natural ‘buzz.' It makes me feel unstoppable, without the negative effects that come from over-use of stimulants.

Do you wake up every morning, feeling tired and sluggish, even though you slept for 8 hours? If so, it’s time to start a morning ritual.

If you want to maximize your productivity, you need to spend the first part of your morning taking care of YOU. If you make your job, your partner, or your friends a priority, then you need to commit to making yourself a priority as well.

Just like you train your body at the gym, you need to train your brain every day. I treat myself as if I am a high-performance athlete. I know that if I want to get the most out of myself, I have to create rituals that will allow me to do just that.

In order to make sure that I successfully complete my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity, I create a list and check-off each activity, as I complete it.

The purpose of a checklist is so that I can visually measure my progress as time goes on. If you don’t have a plan for your life and you just move throughout your day aimlessly, then you’re not going to get the most out of it.

Here is my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity:

1. Smile

The first thing that I do the moment that I wake up is smile. When you start your day with gratitude, it shifts your entire perspective. Every day that you are alive is a gift, and you need to treat it as such. Don’t ever take your life for granted.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t feel happy and positive 100% every morning, but by training myself to smile and start the day in an empowering way, I am setting myself up for success.

Research shows that when you smile, neurochemicals and peptides are released, which tricks your body into raising your dopamine; which in turn raises your spirits and calms your nervous system.

2. Drink Water

After you’ve been sleeping for 7-8 hours your body is dehydrated, and your cells crave water. I’ve got a water ionizer that I use which produces high quality, 9.5 alkaline water.

By drinking water first thing in the morning, you kick-start your metabolism, which will give you immediate energy and flush out toxins from your body.

3. Take Supplements

I start off by taking a shot of apple cider vinegar, which is a great bacteria killer. Then, on an empty stomach, I take a digestive enzyme supplement called, Masszymes. I also take a variety of other supplements, like B12 and Vitamin D3.

Supplements like these ensure that I have energy throughout the day, so that I never have to rely on caffeine or sugar. More importantly, engaging in this body ritual ensures that I will experience optimal health and performance, over the long-term.

4. Read A Book

I spend at least 10 minutes every morning reading an inspiring book on my Kindle reader. Don’t start your day by obsessing over social media, or reading negative things on the news. Instead, try feeding your mind with positive information and commit to learning something new.

5. Write in my Journals

After reading a book, I like to write in my Five Minute Journal, a simple exercise that allows me to focus on what is most important for me to accomplish throughout my day.

I also write in my Productivity Planner, which offers a similar process. I write down what my most important task for the day is, what my secondary tasks of importance are, and then determine what my daily productivity score is.

For those of you who are spiritual, I also write in my Christian gratitude journal.

6. Lie Down On My PEMF Mat

A PEMF mat is a portable mat that produces pulsed electromagnetic fields around an individual’s body. I lie on this mat every morning and do my meditation.

The health benefits of PEMF are amazing, some of which include regenerating nerves, reducing stress and fatigue, and eliminating bodily toxins.

I hope you enjoyed learning about my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity! If you want the more in-depth version, that covers all of my rituals, then join my 7-day course, Morning Ritual Mastery.

Rituals have been the secret to my success, and have allowed me to become the person that I am today. Invest in yourself. Your body, mind, and spirit deserve it.

Are you someone that is stuck in the past? If so, it’s time to live in the now! This is the secret to a happier future.

We live in a world of distractions. We are bombarded with millions of things that take us away from the present moment, and thus diminish our ability to practice stillness.

Buddhist scholar B. Alan Wallace once said that, “We're living in a world that contributes in a major way to mental fragmentation, disintegration, distraction, de-coherence.” The good news is that you have the power to change.

Many people find themselves either obsessing about the future or dwelling in the past. This is a recipe for pain and suffering. Anything that has occurred in your life up to this point in time is ancient history. Your past does not determine or dictate your future in any way unless you allow it to.

What many of us forget is that our ability to create the future of our dreams hinges on our ability to enjoy the present moment. Don’t worry about tomorrow. It’s time to live in the now!

The world is ever-changing, and if you want to succeed you have to change with it. There is no way of knowing what your life will look like 50 years from now.

However, what you can do is take the steps necessary in order to craft the vision for your life, in the here and now. That vision may change and evolve over time, and that is OK. The important thing is that you set goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them.

The problem is that a lot of people are afraid to make any decision at all, for fear that it will be the wrong one. Instead, they prefer to live in their comfort zone because it feels safe. But there is nothing safe about this zone.

We need to examine our fears and make friends with them. Sure, some choices that we make may lead to more painful life lessons, but nothing hurts more than living in fear.

Oftentimes, what you fear most is the one that will bring you closer to living in alignment with your vision, and inevitably, what will set you free. In the words of Pema Chodron, “Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth.”

The best way to overcome fear is to adopt a growth mindset. These types of people thrive off of challenges and see failure not as evidence of their lack of intelligence, but rather as an opportunity for growth and expansion of their current strengths.

Growth and gratitude go hand in hand. By adopting an attitude of gratitude, we are able to move through life in a much more positive way, which contributes to greater happiness and fulfillment in all areas of life. When we are appreciative of what we already have and live in the now, it inspires us to grow and become more.

Oftentimes people get upset over the littlest things. Each day provides you with an opportunity to make new decisions and choices. If you take things for granted it means that you are too focused on yourself. Step outside of yourself and be more grateful for the blessings that already exist in your life. Live in the now!

The next time that you catch yourself in a negative spiral of complaining or expectation, step back and ask yourself, “In this moment, what am I am grateful for? How can I use this experience to better myself?”

What action will you take today in order to create the life that you desire? You have the choice of deciding who you want to be in this moment and what you want to create for your future.

Drop the past. The present moment is life itself. Live in the now! That is the secret to a happier future. In the words of Eckhart Tolle, “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.” Being present is the only way to enjoy life to the fullest.

I would like to share with you why happiness is an inside job. Nobody wants to suffer. We all desire to be happy and are constantly striving to pursue it, but in the process of cultivating this emotional state, sometimes we forget to strengthen our inner selves.

We have been conditioned to believe that happiness is derived from people, events, or outcomes. All the ‘things’ which give us pleasure are simply mirrors, reflecting back to us idealized notions of who we think we might be, rather than who we truly are.

If you believe that your happiness is connected to things outside of yourself, you will never experience true fulfillment in life. Chasing happiness only leads to pain and suffering.

You already have everything that you need in order to be happy and live an extraordinary life. It resides within you. In the words of Democritus, “Happiness resides not in possessions and not in gold. Happiness dwells in the soul.” What does happiness mean to you?

Happiness is a state of mind; if you want to live a happy life, you need to train your brain for happiness every day.

Shawn Achor, the best-selling author of, The Happiness Advantage: The Seven Principles of Positive Psychology That Fuel Success and Performance at Work says that, “If you can raise somebody's level of positivity in the present, then their brain experiences what we call a happiness advantage.”

Happiness isn’t conditional, but rather it is a choice. In every moment, you have the power of determine whether you will view events in your life from a positive or negative lens. This is why happiness is an inside job.

When we look to the future for happiness it takes us away from the present, which is where happiness resides. If you want to experience more happiness, you need to be grateful for the extraordinary things that already exist in your life.

Gratitude is one of the most important rituals that I practice in my daily life. I believe that it is through the process of gratitude that we experience the purest form of joy. In doing so, we are able to cultivate a mindset that focuses on the positive.

Self-love is the key to happiness. The best way to honour yourself is by listening to what it needs. This is where the power of a morning ritual comes into play.  It is one of the secrets to success of some of the happiest people in the world.

Research shows that your mood in the morning affects your emotional state for the rest of the day. What makes you happy first thing in the morning? Commit to doing it because you deserve the love that you so freely give to others.

When will you choose to be happy? You can be happy right now! In doing so, you will set yourself up for success in all areas of your life.

Denis Waitley said it best, “Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is a spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.” Don’t wait for the perfect moment to experience fulfillment and joy. YOU have the power to look for the good in life, despite what's going on around you.

I want to share how you can be more grateful in life. Gratitude is the simple practice of observing and appreciating all of the amazing gifts and blessings in your life.

To have an attitude of gratitude means that you choose to focus on what you have, rather than dwell on what you don’t have. The result? It can improve your physical, mental, and emotional health.

Recent research shows that a daily gratitude practice can lead to increased concentration, optimism, improved sleep quality, and a greater sense of connection to others. Despite these benefits of practicing gratitude, many of us take so many things in our lives for granted.

In the words of William Arthur Mode, “Gratitude can turn common days into Thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” Are you ready to be more grateful in life?

In their search of experiencing the exciting highs of life, many people have lost sight of the reality. Most of life is comprised of a series of small moments.

Instead, they spend their lives pursuing goals like making more money, paying off bills, or attracting a partner. Some people believe that these things will make them feel happy. If you don’t already feel grateful for what you have, how do you expect that you will be happy with more?

If you want to experience true happiness, learn to appreciate the small moments, as they are the ones that will have a lasting impact on your life.

Gratitude is one of the most important rituals that I practice in my daily life. As part of my morning ritual I do a 5 Minute Journal exercise, which inspires me to start and end my day with gratitude. In this journal, there are 3 questions I ask myself every morning:

  1. “What am I grateful for?”
  2. “What would make today great?”
  3. “What is my daily affirmation?”

This exercise primes my brain for happiness. Research shows that a five-minute a day gratitude journal can increase your long-term well being by more than 10 percent, which is the same impact as doubling your income.

Spend a few minutes every morning feeling grateful. When you condition your mind to focus on the good every day, your entire perspective on the world around you will change. The simplest way to feel gratitude is to ask yourself empowering questions.

In his book, “Emotional Time: The Importance of Gratitude” Carl De Wet says that Practicing gratitude daily is important because the intentions you hold for your day influence your day.”

There are so many things to be grateful for every day of our lives. All you need to do is focus on it and feel it. In this moment, what are you grateful for? Life is a series of a thousand tiny miracles. Notice them. This is how to be more grateful in life.
