Why Are You Always Tired and Have No Energy? Find Out Now.

Extreme fatigue can wreak havoc on your physical, mental and emotional state.

In today's world, being tired has become a popular complaint among people. However, some people experience fatigue to the point where they are incapable of doing anything.

According to a recent survey of over 20,000 people, about 30 percent of visits to doctors involve complaints about being tired all the time. Can you relate?

Anything that you want in life requires that you have an abundance of energy. Are you ready to learn how you can beat extreme fatigue and stop running on empty?

Watch the video below where I talk about how to avoid burnout and overwhelm:

Extreme fatigue is a productivity killer.

Have you ever tried to do anything of value when you feel like a zombie? Unfortunately, too many people have fallen victim to the exhaustion epidemic. The world never sleeps, which means that peoples' brains are constantly struggling to switch off and slow down. Caught between the ever-increasing demands of work and family, trying to take care of yourself can feel near impossible.

If you are stuck in a busyness trap, it's natural to feel like you are run off of your feet. In the workplace, burnout has become the norm. Increasing workloads and long hours are creating heightened levels of stress, to the point where people are dropping like flies.

Instead of finding the root cause of the problem, a lot of people end up medicating themselves or turning to energy drinks or coffee to boost their energy levels. Can you relate?

As you can imagine, these are only band-aid solutions. Although they may make you feel “better” in the short-term, you are only left feeling more drained and mentally foggy in the long-run. The result is a continual negative cycle of self-sabotage that wreaks havoc on your health.

In his book, Sick and Tired: Reclaim Your Inner Terrain, Dr. Nick Young says that “We are all terrified that if we don't just carry on we might be sacked. People know now that they don't have a job for life, and that if they take time out to recover, somebody else will come along to fill their shoes.”

Unfortunately, what causes extreme fatigue can be challenging to figure out.

Given that it is a multifaceted issue, there are many possibilities for why you may feel tired all of the time. For example, it could be the result of hormone dysfunction, toxins, lack of sleep, poor gut health, poor stress management, and/or nutrient imbalances.

For these reasons, it's important to take a holistic view of your health. You need to realize that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach when it comes to finding a resolution to health problems, like extreme fatigue. When you are able to determine and heal the root cause of extreme fatigue, you will also heal your accompanying symptoms as well. Truly, when it comes to the body, everything is connected to one another.

As a disclaimer, by no means am I a doctor. Rather, my goal is merely to share with you what has worked for me. Hopefully, you will experience some benefit from this knowledge as well. That being said, I encourage you to be a scientist of your own health.

If you cannot find the answer, please don't hesitate to see your doctor so that you can get a more accurate understanding of what is going on inside your body. On that note, let's dive into 6 ways that you can combat extreme fatigue and take back control of your daily energy reserves.

1. Eliminate Sugar And Processed Foods

The old adage, “You are what you eat” couldn't be truer. In my opinion, this is one of the most important pieces of advice that you will ever receive.

Food is fuel. If you feed your body with junk and don't give your body and brain the right nutrients, guess how you are going to feel? Not surprisingly, you will feel sluggish, tired, and depressed. Stay away from sugar and processed foods at all costs.

I believe that a nutrient-rich diet is one of the best ways to ward off low levels of energy and feelings of tiredness. If you have poor eating habits, make a commitment to change your diet. Eat a lot of healthy fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Over time, your mind, body, and soul will thank you for it. In the words of Jim Rohn, “Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.”

2. Get Enough Sleep

In today's world, running on empty has become a badge of honor. Working late hours means that you are “highly productive” and committed to your craft, right? Wrong.

Moving throughout your day with a foggy brain and bags under your eyes is nothing to be proud of. Few people understand the importance of sleep. The effects of sleep deprivation on your body are the real deal – fatigue, impaired memory, compromised cognitive abilities, and mood changes.

A study by scientists at UCLA found that sleep deprivation interferes with the ability of some brain cells to function and communicate with one another.

You spend one-third of your life sleeping, so you want to make sure that you are doing it right. This is why it's important that you adopt healthy habits into your evening ritual that will help you sleep better and longer. Unfortunately, a lot of people expose themselves to varying degrees of artificial blue light a few hours before bedtime.

LED lights, computers, televisions, tablets, and smartphones all confuse your body's natural internal rhythm. One of the best ways that I've been able to hack my sleep is by wearing blue-light-blocking glasses. They block out the harmful lights and rays that prevent your body from releasing melatonin and falling asleep.

When you get a deep and restorative sleep, you wake up feeling refreshed and clear. In reality, this is the perfect recipe for a productive day.

3. Move Your Body

We are designed to move our bodies. Unfortunately, too many people have been forced to adopt a technological sedentary lifestyle. When you add lack of exercise to the mix, you've got yourself a serious problem. Sitting in front of a computer for 8+ hours every day isn't healthy for anyone.

In James A. Levine's book, Get Up!: Why Your Chair is Killing You and What You Can Do About It, he shows that today's chair-based world has negative consequences on our health, and is a leading cause of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

After a long day at work, it's normal to feel tired and sluggish. However, the best thing that you can do is move your body. When you sweat, you increase blood flow everywhere in your body, including your brain. In other words, more blood means that more energy and oxygen is going to your brain.

In the words of Kerry J. Stewart, professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, “Exercise improves the working efficiency of your heart, lungs, and muscles… which is the equivalent of improving the fuel efficiency of a car. It gives you more energy for any kind of activity.”

Instead of reaching for a coffee or an energy drink, go for a run or hit the gym. By exercising, you will instantly feel more energized and less stressed.

4. Drink A Lot Of Water

A lot of people are chronically dehydrated and don't even know that they are. If you are thirsty while reading this article, you are already mildly dehydrated. For anyone that has ever experienced it, dehydration can leave you feeling fatigued.

The importance of water to your survival cannot be overstated – it's the base of all your body fluids. Your body makes up 70% water. In other words, when you aren't taking in enough fluids, all of your organs are working in overdrive.

Do your best to drink eight glasses a day every day. More importantly, make sure that you are always drinking high-quality water. Investing in a water ionizer was one of the best decisions I've ever made. This machine ensures that your water is both micro-clustered and alkaline. By all means, if you can't afford to buy a machine, putting a lemon or a lime in your water is a great way to alkalize it.

5. Reset Your Energy Levels

If you are an overachiever, you may find that it is impossible to stop and take a moment to yourself. Yes, there is so much to do, see, and achieve. However, if you don't restore your tank, you won't be of much use to anyone.

The world moves at such a fast pace that a lot of people have forgotten how important it is to relax. How often do you relax? More importantly, how do you relax? If you are constantly moving, in work and in life, I encourage you to make it a priority to calm your mental and emotional state.

Take a power nap, meditate for 5-minute intervals throughout your day, stretch, unplug from technology for a few hours, or engage in some deep breathing exercises. It must be remembered that, if you don't reset your energy levels, you won't be able to maintain a high level of stamina.

6. Prioritize Your Goals

When you are fatigued, you aren't thinking clearly, which can make everything feel overwhelming. In this state, it's challenging to get anything accomplished on your to-do list. Because of this, prioritization is a skill that you must master if you want to achieve success.

If you find yourself being inundated with texts, messages, and emails on a daily basis, you aren't alone. This has become a normal part of life for most people. To emphasize, if you give away your energy and attention too freely, you will fall into the burnout trap.

In fact, the best way to combat this stress is to learn how to prioritize your tasks. Before you go to bed at night, break down the importance of each task so that you know what needs to be accomplished in the morning. Not only will doing this allow you to sleep better, but it will also ensure that you are prepared for what's to come.

The mistake that people tend to make is that they start their day with the easiest task, which they think will give them momentum. Unfortunately, all this does is make you feel ‘busy', when, in fact, you aren't doing the work that matters most to the achievement of your goals.

Also, make sure that you are celebrating your achievements along the way. If you don't, your motivation will dwindle and you will sabotage your best efforts. This will only leave you feeling depleted and confused as to why you even started in the first place.

Are you ready to beat fatigue once and for all?

Feeling tired all of the time is exhausting. It only makes you want to crawl back into bed and hide from the world. Without energy, you cannot achieve success in any dimension of your life. With this in mind, if you are experiencing extreme fatigue, now is the time to take control of your health. You deserve to experience optimal health.

The secret to success is aligning your mission with your nature. Your nature is your “go to” disposition; it’s the skin that you are most comfortable in.

We tend to categorize ourselves as being either introverted or extroverted. In many ways, our fast-paced, social world was designed for extroverts to thrive, leaving introverts, who prefer solitude and quiet introspection, to fend for themselves.

In her book, The Introvert Advantage: How to Thrive in an Extrovert World, Marti Olsen Laney points out, “What's an introvert to do in such a hostile environment?”

What is your nature? One is not better than the other. It all comes down to your unique personality type. When you know where your strengths lie, aligning your mission with your nature is easy.

The reality is that few of us fit into either of these personality types. Yes, it is possible to be express qualities of both types, otherwise known as “ambiverts.”

Personality psychologist Brian Little, author of Me, Myself and Us: The Science of Personality and the Art of Well-Being argues that ambiverts are able to draw from the strengths of both personality types, and in doing so, have more freedom to shape their lives.

Each personality type has skills that anyone can learn. For example, by nature, I am an introvert, but I have learned extrovert skills.

However, if you take someone whose nature is not aligned with their mission, the likelihood of them sticking with it long-term is unlikely. Why? Because they will never be fulfilled in life.

For example, can an introvert be successful in a sales position? Of course. Anyone can do anything that they set their mind to, however, will they excel at it over the long-term? Probably not.

When it comes to a personal mission, some people are born knowing what it is that they are meant to do, while others figure it out over time. What is my mission in life? This is a question that we ask of ourselves in the process of discovering our ‘why’.

The first step in discovering your mission in life is to have an awareness of the characteristics that define your unique nature.

Each of us is different, based on our individual personalities. In order to thrive in your life and work, you need to tap into your strengths and find environments that allow you to leverage them.

Your strengths are the things that you do effortlessly. If money didn’t matter, what would you do with your time? When you know what you excel at, it can help you create the most effective path to aligning your mission with your nature.

Instead of overwhelming yourself with the question, “Who am I?”, ask yourself, “Which environments bring out my best qualities?”

At the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter if you’re an introvert, extrovert, or someone in-between. All that matters is that you are aligning your mission with your nature. In the words of Oprah Winfrey, “Align your personality with your purpose, and no one can touch you.”

Today I would like to walk you through my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity. This routine allows me to optimize my body, mind, and spirit so that I can perform at my best, every day.

I’m a big believer in the power of rituals. I’ve been doing them since I was 17 years old. I used to struggle with shyness, social anxiety, and depression.

By creating a morning ritual, I was able to recondition my beliefs and transform every area of my life.

The morning is the best time to condition your mindset. Research shows that your mood in the morning affects your productivity all day.

Are you ready to wake up every day, feeling more productive, energized, and happier? My morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity will allow you to make that happen.

Discipline is one of greatest barriers that prevent people from achieving success in life. If you want to build habits that stick, you need to be consistent with them. In the words of Tony Robbins says, “The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.”

How you start the day is how you end the day. If you only engage in a habit once in a while, it won’t stick. It’s what you do consistently that makes the difference.

How do you start your mornings?

If you wake up in a reactive state, you will move throughout your entire day feeling stressed and anxious. A lot of people believe that they need a triple espresso as soon as they get out of bed. This way of thinking is counterintuitive.

My morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity provides me with a natural ‘buzz.' It makes me feel unstoppable, without the negative effects that come from over-use of stimulants.

Do you wake up every morning, feeling tired and sluggish, even though you slept for 8 hours? If so, it’s time to start a morning ritual.

If you want to maximize your productivity, you need to spend the first part of your morning taking care of YOU. If you make your job, your partner, or your friends a priority, then you need to commit to making yourself a priority as well.

Just like you train your body at the gym, you need to train your brain every day. I treat myself as if I am a high-performance athlete. I know that if I want to get the most out of myself, I have to create rituals that will allow me to do just that.

In order to make sure that I successfully complete my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity, I create a list and check-off each activity, as I complete it.

The purpose of a checklist is so that I can visually measure my progress as time goes on. If you don’t have a plan for your life and you just move throughout your day aimlessly, then you’re not going to get the most out of it.

Here is my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity:

1. Smile

The first thing that I do the moment that I wake up is smile. When you start your day with gratitude, it shifts your entire perspective. Every day that you are alive is a gift, and you need to treat it as such. Don’t ever take your life for granted.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t feel happy and positive 100% every morning, but by training myself to smile and start the day in an empowering way, I am setting myself up for success.

Research shows that when you smile, neurochemicals and peptides are released, which tricks your body into raising your dopamine; which in turn raises your spirits and calms your nervous system.

2. Drink Water

After you’ve been sleeping for 7-8 hours your body is dehydrated, and your cells crave water. I’ve got a water ionizer that I use which produces high quality, 9.5 alkaline water.

By drinking water first thing in the morning, you kick-start your metabolism, which will give you immediate energy and flush out toxins from your body.

3. Take Supplements

I start off by taking a shot of apple cider vinegar, which is a great bacteria killer. Then, on an empty stomach, I take a digestive enzyme supplement called, Masszymes. I also take a variety of other supplements, like B12 and Vitamin D3.

Supplements like these ensure that I have energy throughout the day, so that I never have to rely on caffeine or sugar. More importantly, engaging in this body ritual ensures that I will experience optimal health and performance, over the long-term.

4. Read A Book

I spend at least 10 minutes every morning reading an inspiring book on my Kindle reader. Don’t start your day by obsessing over social media, or reading negative things on the news. Instead, try feeding your mind with positive information and commit to learning something new.

5. Write in my Journals

After reading a book, I like to write in my Five Minute Journal, a simple exercise that allows me to focus on what is most important for me to accomplish throughout my day.

I also write in my Productivity Planner, which offers a similar process. I write down what my most important task for the day is, what my secondary tasks of importance are, and then determine what my daily productivity score is.

For those of you who are spiritual, I also write in my Christian gratitude journal.

6. Lie Down On My PEMF Mat

A PEMF mat is a portable mat that produces pulsed electromagnetic fields around an individual’s body. I lie on this mat every morning and do my meditation.

The health benefits of PEMF are amazing, some of which include regenerating nerves, reducing stress and fatigue, and eliminating bodily toxins.

I hope you enjoyed learning about my morning ritual for daily success, motivation and productivity! If you want the more in-depth version, that covers all of my rituals, then join my 7-day course, Morning Ritual Mastery.

Rituals have been the secret to my success, and have allowed me to become the person that I am today. Invest in yourself. Your body, mind, and spirit deserve it.

Do you want to know the secret of being in control of your life? Make a decision. Never underestimate the impact that a single decision can make.

Everything that has happened in your life, to date, has started with a decision. Many people become so fearful of making a mistake, that they end up making a bad decision, or worse, no decision at all.

The beauty of life is that you ALWAYS have options. When you find the motivation to make growth-based decisions, you step into the driver’s seat of your life.

In the words of Paulo Coelho, “When someone makes a decision he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places that he had never dreamed of when he first made the decision.” Are you ready to make a decision?

A decision can go one of two ways – towards a life of happiness or towards a life of suffering. If you want to experience the former, it is important that you make the right decision at the right time. Unfortunately, from an evolutionary perspective, our brains are not designed to make rational decisions.

When neuroscientists examined brain activity during a simple decision-making experiment, they noticed people had often decided on a course of action ten seconds before they were consciously aware of having made any decision at all. The goods news is that we are all capable of change, and it all starts with our mindset.

In his book Get Smart!: How to Think and Act Like the Most Successful and Highest-Paid People in Every Field, author Brian Tracy presents ten different ways of thinking that enable better decision making, one of which includes thinking about the long-term consequences of your decision.

Instead of being plagued by the desire for instant gratification, become more aware of how your actions today will impact your future. The ability to delay gratification is a core principle of success.

The next time you are about to make an instinctual decision, without thinking it through, sit back and ask yourself, “What will be the long-term consequences of the action that I am about to take?” If you want to solve difficult problems in life, you will need to make difficult decisions. Anything that you desire in life requires a lot of hard work, sacrifice, time, commitment, and energy.

It’s supposed to be hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. The master knows that challenges are the norm. When things get tough in life, they keep pushing forward.

They make a decision. They decide to take ownership of their mistakes and don’t let their lows dictate their future. Research by Carol Dweck suggests that the top trait that you will need in order to make a decision into a long-term success is the ability to convert life’s setbacks into future successes.

If you are going through a hard time in your life right now, know that this too shall pass. Trust the process of life and learn how to relinquish control. The only thing that you have control over is your reactions to what life throws at you. The small decisions that we make on a daily basis have the power to dictate the direction that our lives will take.

In the words of Tony Robbins, “It’s not what you do once in a while that shapes your life. It’s what you do consistently.” Make a decision, but choose it wisely.

3 Ways To Hold Yourself Accountable To Your Goals https://projectlifemastery.com/accountable-to-your-goals/ https://projectlifemastery.com/accountable-to-your-goals/#respond Wed, 26 Jul 2017 00:28:07 +0000 http://projectlifemastery.com/?p=6543 Accountability is an inside job. The post 3 Ways To Hold Yourself Accountable To Your Goals appeared first on Project Life Mastery.

]]>
I would like to share 3 ways to hold yourself accountable to your goals. From time to time, all of us have struggled to stay consistent with the goals that we set for ourselves.

It's one thing to set goals, but actually accomplishing them takes commitment, energy, discipline, and hard work. When we don't see results fast enough, it is easy to lose our motivation and fall into a negative thinking trap.

All of us have personal goals that we want to master, but many people become easily distracted by shiny objects or new ideas. The result is that they end up jumping from opportunity to opportunity, without accomplishing anything.

Accountability is an inside job. If you want to create positive change in your life, you need to take responsibility for the decisions that you make. In the words of Stephen Covey, “Accountability breeds response-ability.”

Are you ready to learn 3 ways to hold yourself accountable to your goals?

Do you want to have the support of a mentor who will hold you accountable to your goals every month? CLICK HERE to join my Life Mastery Accelerator program!

1. Find An Accountability Partner

When you are accountable to others, you are more likely to follow-through on your goals. Conversely, when you don't have someone in your corner, cheering you on and checking-up on you, it is easy to make excuses for why you can't accomplish something.

The American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) did a study on accountability and found that you if you have a specific accountability appointment with a person that you’ve committed to, you will increase your chance of success by up to 95%.

An accountability partner, like a coach or a mentor, can give you the motivation that you need in order to take action when you are not where you want to be in life.

George Matthew Adams said it best – ““There is no such thing as a ‘self-made’ man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and of our thoughts, as well as our success.”

2. Develop Good Habits

If you want to achieve your goals, you need to commit to developing good habits. In doing so, it primes your brain for success. Research shows that the best way to improve your overall health and well-being is to start a new regular habit.

The most effective way to transform your goals into habits is to create a morning ritual. In the morning, you have the most willpower at your disposal, and so your motivation is at its peak.

Accountability is about willpower, and willpower is similar to a muscle. If it's possible for muscles to get stronger over time with training, willpower can do the same. In the words of Joshua Miller, “Personal accountability isn’t a trait that people are born with, it’s a way of living that you can learn.”

3. Find Your Purpose

Finding your purpose is a critical element to achieving your goals and experiencing fulfillment in life. By nature, having a purpose breeds accountability.

When you are living your purpose and doing what you love, you naturally want to be accountable to yourself and others because you are committed to something greater than yourself.

Write your purpose down, and read it out loud to yourself every day. When you do so, it will inspire you to stay committed to your goals and take action.

I challenge you to try out these 3 ways to hold yourself accountable to your goals. At the end of the day, mastering any goal in life requires that you make a conscious commitment to take action. It all starts and ends with you.

I want to share with you 5 ways to get motivated. Motivation is the energy that inspires you to set and achieve your goals. It is one of the most important predictors of success in life. Without it, results are impossible.

Anything of value in life requires an immense amount of commitment, hard work, patience, and sacrifice. In other words, the most successful people in the world persevere, despite pain and discomfort.

Can you think of a time when you felt like you were in a slump and had zero energy to do anything? If so, you aren’t alone. Even the most motivated of people can feel unmotivated at times.

Motivation is power; it gives us the ability to shape and create our destinies. Tony Robbins said it best,Change is never a matter of ability; its always a matter of motivation.” What motivates you to work hard and achieve your goals?

Motivation is the foundation of all action in life. Getting motivated can be challenging at times, which is why having success strategies in place to support you will help make the process more manageable. Below are 5 ways to get motivated:

1. Create A Vision For Your Life

Motivation becomes strong when you have a clear image of what it is that you want to achieve. Pursuing my goals doesn’t require motivation. Why? Because I have a clear vision for my life.

Take a moment, go beyond your current state of living, and visualize what your ideal life would look like. Imagine the type of environment you live in, the partner that you have, the experiences you are having, and the type of work that you are doing.

There is no right or wrong. All that matters is that your vision motivates you. At the end of your life, what matters most is not what you acquired, but who you became. Don’t settle.

2. Find Your ‘Why’

Your ‘why' is your purpose; it is what inspires you to get out of bed every day. You need to determine the reasons why your vision is important to you.

For example, let's say that you want to build an online business. What is your ‘why' for wanting to do that? It could be to experience freedom, to be your own boss, or to be able to take care of your family.

Whatever your reasons are, they are what will pull you towards the accomplishment of your goals. When you find your ‘why', use it to channel your motivation.

3. Adopt A Learning Mindset

In an ever-changing world, the single best investment that you can make in life is a lifelong commitment and curiosity for learning. Lifelong learners are motivated to grow because they want to.

Read books, watch videos, invest in training programs, attend seminars, workshops, and networking events – these environments will give you the motivation to make things happen.

For example, if you want to build an online business, read books about people like Warren Buffett, Richard Branson, Sam Walton, and Elon Musk. The stories of successful people like this will inspire you. Investing in your learning is one of the best gifts that you can give yourself.

4. Find a Mentor or Hire A Coach

The best way to harness the power of motivation is to surround yourself with people who have high standards and who are achieving great things in life.

In his book, The Power of HabitThe Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business, Charles Duhigg suggests that the people you surround yourself with can play a role on your habits and behaviours.

Find a mentor or hire a coach who can motivate and hold you accountable. I have many coaches and mentors in my life. These people have helped me achieve my goals faster. In the words of John Crosby, “A mentor is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction.”

5. Fall In Love With The Process, Not The Results

The most successful people in the world understand how to shift their attitude about the journey, so that the process towards achieving a goal is just as fulfilling as actually achieving it.

In order to attain mastery, you need to fall in love with the process. A lot of people want to achieve success, but they aren't committed to taking the steps in order to get there. If you only attach yourself to the results, your motivation will dwindle.

Carl Rogers said it best, “The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” Learn how to fall in love with the learning process, because that is where the magic happens.

I hope these 5 ways to get motivated have inspired you to master motivation and find the drive that you need in order to achieve your goals. Are you ready to take your motivation to a whole new level?

Do you want to be happier and live an extraordinary life? The recipe is quite simple. Life-altering, take-your-breath-away moments are great, but those aren’t the experiences that will bring you the most joy in life.

Happiness is a universal emotion. Unfortunately, a lot of people think that living an extraordinary life is a lofty, unachievable goal, but this is far from true. Financial wealth and materialistic possessions will not bring you happiness.

If you want to be happier and live an extraordinary life, you need to be grateful for the extraordinary things that already exist in your life. Sometimes it’s the small things that mean the most. The reason that something is extraordinary in your life is because of how you feel about it. What you feel, you attract.

In the words of Mandy Hale, “Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like, and celebrating it for everything it is.” What does happiness mean to you?

In Bonnie Ware’s book, The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing, she found that one of the top regrets that people talked about before they died was that they didn’t allow themselves to experience more happiness.

New research suggests that capturing the mundane experiences is actually what may bring us unexpected happiness in the future (Zhang, Kim, & Brooks, 2014). Savour the small moments in life, because in the end they may be the experiences that you remember the most. Every day I focus on rituals that inspire me to live in a constant state of happiness.

Happiness is a daily practice. Once I made the decision to enjoy each day of my life to the fullest and conditioned my mind to experience extraordinary pleasure from the simple things, every area of my life transformed, and so can yours.

True happiness comes from within; it’s an inside job. I believe that we all have a higher self, otherwise known as the person that we aspire to be. Who do you aspire to be? Step into that role with confidence and determination. When you face obstacles or challenges in life, step back and ask yourself, “What would my highest self do?” When you do so, it allows you to be more self-aware and make more conscious decisions.

If you want to be happier and live an extraordinary life, you need to make it a priority to master every area of your life. That is the recipe for true happiness and fulfillment. I’m not perfect, but I do the work by way of making the commitment to continuously grow and evolve in all areas of my life.

In the words of T. Harv Eker, “How you do anything is how you do everything in life.” Do you want to be happier and live an extraordinary life? The truth is, that all you have to do is to act “as if” happiness is already your reality. Only YOU have the power to create it. It's time to take action!

I want to share with you 5 steps to setting life-changing intentions. Are you feeling stuck or not sure how to achieve what you desire in life? If so, you need to start harnessing the power of intentions. Everything that happens in life begins with an intention. It is the starting point of every goal or dream.

An intention is a mental state that reflects a commitment to achieving an action in the future. In essence, it is the creative fuel that satisfies every one of our desires; whether that is for a loving relationship, more money, spiritual guidance, or best of all self-love. When you set an intention, you are utilizing the power of the Law of Attraction so that the Universe can work its magic.

Everything you need and desire is inside of you. Get out of your own way and learn how to tap into the finite potential that resides in you. In the words of Wayne Dyer, “By banishing doubt and trusting your intuitive feelings, you clear a space for the power of intention to flow through.” Are you ready to create the reality that you desire?

By setting intentions, you pave the way for success and happiness in your life. Here are 5 steps to setting life-changing intentions:

1. Create a Morning Ritual

Morning rituals are an amazing way to connect to your inner self and set your intentions for the day. Someone once said, “Some days I feel like I can conquer the world. Other days it takes me 3 hours to convince myself to have a shower.” Can you relate? If so, you aren't alone. Bad habits are hard to break, but if you want to be successful in life, you need to be consistent, because we are defined by what we do every day.

If you don't wake up every day feeling energized, passionate, and excited about your life, it's time to create a ritual. I am living proof that a morning ritual is one of the most powerful ways to manifest your intentions and transform your life. Research shows your mood in the morning affects your productivity all day (Cooper, 2016). When I take time every morning to honour myself and my needs, it sets the tone for how I feel for the rest of the day.

2. Surrender to Resistance

Many people associate surrendering with giving up, but it's actually the opposite. Control is rooted in fear. Nothing positive grows in that space. If you want to manifest your intentions, you need to surrender to what is and let go of control. Always remember that whatever you resist, persists.

Don't try to fight the Universe, because it always wins. Detach yourself from the outcome and find your flow in life. When you do, you will attract what you desire most. In the words of Mooji, “Surrender is not a weakness; it is a strength. It takes tremendous strength to surrender life to the supreme – to the cosmic unfolding.”

3. Think Less, Feel More

When you are too attached to your thoughts and ‘in your head', you aren't able to make authentic decisions from your heart. When you feel as if you have already manifested your intentions, that is when the real magic happens. Why? Because the Universe responds to your thoughts in conjunction with your feelings.

You will not experience true alignment until you listen to your heart. That is where the truth lies. Following your heart is the secret to a fulfilled life. In the words of Denise Linn, “Shift the focus from what you want to do, to how you want to feel.”

4. Get Clear and Be Specific

If you aren't clear and specific about what your intentions are, how do you expect to bring it into your reality? This is where a lot of people get stuck. Are you attracting what you want into your life? If not, you need to be more aware of your thoughts and tailor words in a more positive way. For example, the words, “I will” are more definite than “I hope to” (Schwartz, 2017). The first attracts what you will do, but the second keeps you hopeful.

Know what it is that you want and make a plan to achieve it. If you’re not attracting what you want into your life, you need to monitor your thoughts more and use more positive, affirming language. Clear intentions lead to clear results. The Universe responds the best to certainty.

5. Visualize

One of the best ways to manifest your intention is to visualize yourself actually already having what it is that you want. Psychologists and therapists highlight the importance of VAK — visuals, audio, and kinesthetic modalities — in shaping our mind (Nguyen, 2015). Visualization is a powerful intention-setting tool that helps us align with our purpose and create the life of our dreams. The power of the mind is beyond recognition. When you start to visualize what you want in your life, you begin to see the possibility of achieving it. It creates momentum and inspiration to take massive action. There is no better recipe for success.

I challenge you to follow these 5 steps to setting life-changing intentions. Anything of value in this world requires intention. Setting goals isn't enough. When you set intentions, it allows you to focus on and be in alignment with your values. Furthermore, it raises your emotional energy, which in turn raises your physical energy (Tabaka, 2016). If you want to master your life, commit to setting life-changing intentions. Your dreams will thank you for it.

Our adventures continue on the Gold Coast of Australia! I want to share with you some of the amazing highlights of our trip thus far. Byron Bay has been one of our favourite places in Australia. The beaches are amazing, and it has a very high vibe, health-conscious culture, which we love.

Even though we are traveling, my girlfriend Tatiana and I have stayed consistent with our morning rituals. We have high standards when we travel, so we make sure that we bring all of our best work-out boosting supplements with us, like glutamine, creatine, and l-carnitine, which support our body and mind.

If you want to achieve life mastery, it is so important that you take care of your body. The greatest wealth is your health. Keep in mind that eating healthy while traveling doesn’t have to be difficult. Plan ahead. Go grocery shopping and buy healthy snacks, like nuts, seeds, veggies, and fruits.

Tatiana and I had an amazing experience snorkelling with turtles and manta rays at a place called Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, which is a famous dive spot in Byron Bay. Julian Rocks is one of the few snorkel sites where you can swim with tropical fish that are found on the Great Barrier Reef.

One of our most profound experiences that we’ve had in Australia thus far was at a place called the Crystal Castle & Shambala Gardens, located about 20 minutes outside of Byron Bay. This place was the definition of peace. Three features of the Crystal Castle that had a powerful impact on us were The Crystal Guardians, The Enchanted Cave, and the Peace Room Meditation.

The famous Crystal Guardians are the tallest, most rare crystals in the world. They are comprised of smoky quartz geode with sprinklings of amethyst and calcite crystal flowers, as well as clear quartz and agate. Described as “beacons of hope”, these crystals are considered to be a ‘human charging system'. Standing in between the massive crystals was a breathtaking experience.

The Enchanted Cave is the largest amethyst cave ever discovered in the world. This enormous rock, otherwise known as a geode, was created 120 million years ago in Uruguay, South America when a large bubble formed inside a molten lava flow. Being inside of this cave was like being in an energetic vortex. By nature, I’m very sensitive to different energies. This experience was so grounding and cleansing for me.

Finally, Tatiana and I took part in a 40-minute sound healing meditation, and sacred ‘Kora Walk’ around The World Peace Stupa, which is a rare sacred monument created to protect against negative energies. During the meditation, we received a quartz crystal, which is said to have properties in it that help to create a clear mind and body. This experience allowed us to go inward and deepen our meditation practice. We left feeling centered, speechless, and at peace.

As many of you know, meditation has become an important part of my morning ritual. True happiness is an inside job. The easiest way to find the answers that you are looking for is to go within. There is no better guide than your inner wisdom.

When you are traveling and you want to eat, out, do your research. Find plant-based, organic restaurants, with food that will provide your body with the optimal fuel that it needs in order for you to feel energized.

We found two amazing restaurants in Byron Bay. One was called, Naked Treaties, a 100% raw, vegan, gluten, dairy and sugar-free café. The second place was called, Elixiba, a plant-based boutique herbal bar and restaurant. Everything on the menu is made with whole-food ingredients, is gluten-free, paleo, and cooked with quality oils.

When you travel, find ways to experience the world in such a way that it enriches your life, leaving you feeling inspired and grateful. The Travel Channel said it best, “Travel is not a reward for working. Rather, it’s education for living.”

Please leave a comment below or let me know any questions you have. I’d love to hear what you think!
