A morning ritual empowers your day.

I'm a big believer that how you start the day is how you end the day. If you roll out of bed every day, begrudgingly hit the snooze button, and throw on a pot of coffee before rushing out the door to work, how do you think your day is going to unfold?

Without a positive morning routine, your day can easily turn out precisely how it started – unfocused, uninspired, and unmotivated with everything becoming a potential distraction.

Unfortunately, a lot of people start their days in this way. In turn, they allow life to happen to them, instead of for them. This is why it's so important to create an empowering morning ritual. Think of it like a prayer or an intention that you set for yourself about how you want your day to unfold.

Rituals have allowed me to transform every area of my life. I've been practicing them since I was 17 years old. I used to be a shy, depressed, and insecure kid. However, once I started spending my mornings reprogramming my mind and emotions, over time I saw massive changes.

I started treating myself as if I was a high-performing athlete because I wanted to get the most out of myself and my life. If you don't have a plan for your life, you won't get the most out of your days. It's that simple. My morning ritual is long and in-depth. However, the length of time that I spend on it all depends on what I have planned each day.

This is why I have a 15-minute ritual, a 30-minute ritual, a one-hour ritual, and a two-hour ritual. Inside this blog, I'm going to provide you with a snapshot of some of the rituals that I engage in daily.

Watch the video above, where I walk you through my in-depth morning ritual and demonstrate what is involved with each one!

Keep in mind that there is no golden standard when it comes to rituals. Each person will have different rituals depending on their lifestyles, values, and needs. You don't need to copy the rituals that I engage in. I just want to provide you with options. Let's dive in!

1. Smile

The first thing that I do when I open my eyes is smile. I can't think of a better way to start the day. You can never take a day of your life for granted. Every day is a gift. I'm not saying that I feel positive and happy every single day. That's not realistic.

However, by training myself to smile first thing in the morning, I'm setting the precedent for the rest of my day. When you smile, your body starts to produce good-feelings. The more you feel good, the more good things you will receive.

2. Drink water

After you've been sleeping for 7-8 hours, your body is dehydrated. Your cells are craving water. By drinking water, you kick-start your metabolism. You'll get energized immediately. I use a water ionizer that produces 9.5 alkaline water.

The ionizer micro-clusters water molecules and turns water into an antioxidant. The water goes through 12 titanium plates that are double-dipped in platinum. I drink an entire liter bottle of water before I eat anything.

3. Take supplements

I start my day with a shot of apple cider vinegar. I am over the top when it comes to supplements because my health is my top priority in life. I'm a big fan of enzymes.

Before I eat any food, I'll take a supplement called Masszymes. Throughout the day, I'll take a variety of different supplements, some of which include Vitamin B12, D3, Magnesium, Oil of Oregano, Colloidal Silver, and Probiotics.

4. Read

I like to spend 10 minutes every morning reading a book on my Kindle. If you only read 10 pages of a book every day, that means you will be reading 300 pages, which is one book per month. Over one year, that's 12 books.  A lot of people start their days by looking at social media or their emails.

I think you should check social media and emails after you've completed your morning ritual. The moment that I check my phone I'm distracted. I'm hit with an insane amount of demands in my business. Not surprisingly, I get stressed. It's all downhill from there. This is why I like to feed my mind with positivity and focus on learning first thing in the morning.

5. Journal

I like to write in my 5-Minute Journal. This is a simple process that helps me to focus on the good. I write down three things that I'm grateful for, what would make my day great, and a daily affirmation. Then I write in my Productivity Planner, which helps me plan out my day so that I set myself up to win.

In the evening, I journal about three amazing things that happened and how I could have made the day better.

6. Lie on my PEMF mat

PEMF mat is a portable mat that radiates pulsed electromagnetic fields around your body. Every morning I lie on this mat for 10 minutes while I'm doing my meditation. I also stretch for 5 minutes on my mat.

There are so many amazing health benefits of using a PEMF mat, some of which include reducing inflammation and improving sleep. I lie on my mat in the morning and in the evening before I fall asleep.

7. Stand in front of my JOOVV red light

The JOOVV device has LED lights on it that emit both red and infrared lights. I spend 5 minutes standing in front of it. While I'm doing this, I practice a heart activation exercise. I focus on feeling grateful for my heart and its ability to beat and keep me alive.

If you haven't yet, I encourage you to read the book The Heart Math Solution by Howard Martin and Lew Childre. Inside the book, the authors talk about how accessing your heart's intelligence can improve your focus and creativity, lower your stress and anxiety levels, and strengthen your immune system.

Red light therapy helps your skin produce more collagen which is great for anti-aging. It also helps to increase testosterone for men. I've noticed great benefits from using this device, some of which include helping with muscle pain and reducing wrinkles.

8. Ask my primary question

We all have a question that we ask ourselves throughout our day. Oftentimes, people's primary question is negative. It may be, “Why am I not good enough?” or “Why can't I do anything right?” Whatever you consistently ask yourself is what you will focus on. In turn, that is what you will manifest in your life.

The primary question that I ask myself every day is, “How can I enjoy and appreciate my life even more, while feeling even more fully alive, growing and making a difference in the lives of others?”

The question presupposes that I enjoy and appreciate my life already which is important. On top of that, there is an emphasis on how I can expand and become more. I usually spend a few minutes reciting this question out loud and reflecting upon my answer.

9. Jump on my rebounder

A rebounder is like a mini-trampoline. I like to have my rebounder positioned in my office, along with my vision board, sports memorabilia, and inspirational photos. When I need a break from working I will hop on it.

While I'm jumping on my rebounder, I will look at my vision board and recite affirmations, while listening to music. Instantly, I get a boost of energy because every cell in my body is getting a workout.

There are so many health benefits to rebounding, some of which include improved circulation, digestion, and flexibility, increased endurance, and reduced back pain.

10. Practice my public speaking skills

I like to find incredible speakers who inspire me. I'll watch videos of their talks and study their verbal and non-verbal communication. From there, I'll pay someone to transcribe their talks. Once I have the transcriptions I'll print them out and practice saying the words from the transcript.

When I do this, I like to imagine that I'm speaking in front of a large audience. As I'm speaking, I'm focusing on strengthening my communication skills.

I'm emphasizing certain words and using my body language while speaking with emotion. Practicing and perfecting my public speaking skills translates to many areas of my life.

This is what the morning ritual of a millionaire entrepreneur looks like.

I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for my morning ritual. The empowering habits that I have created have transformed my entire life. For this reason, the mornings continue to be my favorite part of the day. Becoming a morning person isn't easy at first.

However, once you see the impact that a ritual has on every aspect of your life, you too will be addicted to feeling happy and healthy in your mind, body, and spirit.

If you need help kickstarting your healthy habits, I wrote a book called, 67 Morning Ritual Habits For Your Body, Mind, And Spirit. I have personally tested and utilized each of these rituals at different stages of my life.

If you are ready to develop an empowering morning ritual and start living every day with unshakeable confidence, passion, and energy, check out my Morning Ritual Mastery course. You've got nothing to lose and everything to gain by making yourself a priority every morning.

I would like to share with you 3 ways to start your day with self-love. Did you know that how you choose to spend the first hour of your day sets the tone for how the rest of your day unfolds?

It's easy to ignore your needs and jump into your massive to-do list, but if you don't take care of yourself first, you won't have the strength and motivation that you need in order to master your day.

A report, which examined 79 studies on the link between self-compassion and wellbeing found that people who are kinder to themselves also tend to be happier, proving that happiness is an inside job.

Having a positive and loving morning routine is a great way to nourish your mind, body, and soul. In the words of Louise Hay, “How you start your day is often how you live your life.” Are you ready to learn 3 ways to start your day with self-love?

Do you want to learn how you can create an empowering morning ritual? CLICK HERE to purchase my Morning Ritual Mastery course!

We have been conditioned by society to place more of an emphasis on other-love, instead of self-love. Unfortunately, this leads to a biased view of the self that has many people questioning their self-worth. It all comes down to treating yourself as if you would a good friend – with love, kindness, compassion, and respect.

The morning is your opportunity to spend quality time with yourself. Get to know who you are and what matters to you. When you do, you will have a more positive and healthy outlook on life, which in turn, will inspire others to do the same.

Here are 3 ways to start your day with self-love.

1. Start A Gratitude Journal

Gratitude and self-love are one and the same. Taking a few minutes every morning to be grateful for who you are and what you have accomplished strengthens your self-esteem, allowing you to have more appreciation for yourself and your life.

A great way for cultivating more gratitude in your life is to keep a gratitude journal. Write down 5 things that you are grateful for every day.

Research shows that expressing gratitude improves mental, physical, and relational well-being. Train your brain to focus on the good, and start to notice how this simple mindfulness exercise transforms your life.

2. Recite Positive Affirmations

Affirmations are a great way to start your day off on a positive note. They give you the tools that you need in order to handle your day, with confidence and ease.

When you affirm to yourself how amazing and capable you are, you rewire your brain to focus on what is possible, thereby priming yourself for happiness and success.

Studies show that affirmations can help improve problem-solving under stress, boost well-being, increase self-compassion, and support pro-social behaviors. What you say about yourself has a tremendous impact on the person that you become. Choose your words wisely.

3. Do A Self-Love Meditation

Life can be so overwhelming sometimes. Meditation can be a great way to calm our busy minds and take a deep breath. A study showed that engaging in a loving-kindness meditation, which is a technique used to increase feelings of warmth and caring for self and others, increases daily experiences of positive emotions over time.

Take a few minutes every day to engage in a mindfulness practice that allows you to be present and connect with yourself. From this place, self-love flows freely.

These are 3 ways to start your day with self-love. Commit to integrating these self-love elements into your morning routine, and watch your life transform for the better. In the words of Robert Morley, “To fall in love with yourself is the first secret to happiness.” Self-love is not selfish. Rather, it is a priority, and you deserve it.

I want to share with you why creating your own empowering morning ritual is a precursor for success.

Rituals are consistent actions that you take every day, which eventually become habits. Those habits then effectively help shape your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, resulting in a mastery mindset.

Artistotle said it best – “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.” Have you ever wondered how some people wake up happy, energized, and ready to crush the day?

Mornings aren’t for everyone, but experts have studied and revealed that a person has much more self-control and willpower in the immediate hours after they wake up (Power, 2015).

The world’s most successful people have mastered morning routines. For example, Founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg owns 20 grey T-shirts and blue jeans that he rotates 5 days a week.  Why does he do this?

His busy schedule doesn’t allow for tedious decisions, like picking a new outfit to wear every morning. He masters his time so that he can master his success. The purpose of a ritual is to support you with whatever you need at a given moment.

My morning ritual is a 12-step process, which is comprised of:

  • Waking up with a smile on my face
  • Priming/meditating
  • Drinking 1-2 glasses of alkaline water and juicing some vegetables
  • Moving my body, while saying some incantations and affirmations
  • Speaking my values/rules that I want to condition and make a part of my life
  • Reading out a list of empowering beliefs
  • Speaking out loud my power virtues, my ultimate vision for my life, and my goals for the month or year
  • Asking myself empowering questions
  • Reading at least 10 pages of a book
  • Spending 1 minute celebrating my life and putting myself in a peak state
  • Planning my day and taking action on the highest leverage activity that I have set for that day
  • Exercising

When I do my morning routine, I feel unstoppable.  I have conditioned my mind for mastery. If you don’t take care for yourself, how can you show up for anyone else? Mike Murdoch once said, “The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine.” Imagine how good it would feel if you could be MORE productive, happy, and energetic on a daily basis.

By creating your own empowering morning ritual you are actively changing your life for the better. Commit to a morning ritual. When you master your mind, you master your life.

I would like to share with you four healthy habits to adopt in the New Year.

The New Year brings with it vibrant energy and an opportunity to establish fresh habits and a new outlook on life.

Many people start the New Year by making big resolutions, but they forget that it’s the small things that you do every day that have the biggest impact in your life.

Your daily actions make you who you are.  Robert Kyosaki once said, “Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow”. Positive habits are a great way to nurture your mind, body and soul.

They allow you to continually grow and improve yourself  so that we you can achieve life mastery. You may be wondering – “What is a habit?” According to Dr. Clayton Cook, a professor at the University of Minnesota, “Within the field of psychology, habits refer to behaviors that are provoked somewhat automatically in response to cues embedded in the environment”.

The reason why so many people have a hard time maintaining positive habits is because habits form out of repetition. Most people initially engage in a behavior to form a healthy habit, but don’t repeat it enough to form the habit. Here are four healthy habits to adopt in New Year:

Healthy Habit #1 – Wake Up Slowly

We have been conditioned to jump out of bed, immediately look at our emails, drink coffee, and rush off to work. When you start the day wrong, it effects your mood and nothing flows smoothly. Does this sound like your daily routine?  If so, it's time to change your habits.

Marcus Aurelius once said, “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love”. Slow down and take time each morning to appreciate and show gratitude for yourself and your life.

Start your day with hot water and lemon, take 5 minutes to meditate, write in your journal, or do some breathing exercises. The mind is a powerful thing. You need to condition it every day for optimal success.

Healthy Habit #2 – Sit Less, Move More

When you think of a New Years resolution, sitting less is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. We all know how important it is to exercise, but even more important is sitting less.

New research shows that simply sitting, without much standing or light physical activity, may have negative effects on our biochemistry, whether we’ve exercised or not. The average adult is sitting or sedentary for about 9.5 or 10 hours a day.

Dr. James Levine is credited with coining the mantra, “Sitting is the new smoking”. In his book, Get Up!: Why Your Chair is Killing You and What You Can Do About It, his research shows that today’s chair-based world has negative consequences on our health, and is a leading cause of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.

After reading his book I was inspired to purchase a LifeSpan Treadmill Desk, which has radically shifted my energy levels throughout the day.

If you work from home, this is a great way to get exercise, while making money on your business. Any excuse that you can find throughout your day to stand, walk, dance, stretch or jump, do it.  It’s a great habit to adopt, and its good for your health.

Healthy Habit #3 – Get Unplugged

Do you have a 24/7 technology habit? If so, you’re not alone. Our hyper-connected lives mean that we are available at any time and place. The result? We are more disconnected than ever before. Albert Einstein made a good prediction when he said, “It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity”.

In a study of 1,600 managers and professionals, Leslie Perlow, a professor of leadership at the Harvard Business School, found that:

  • 70 percent said they check their smartphone within an hour of getting up.
  • 56 percent check their phone within an hour of going to sleep.
  • 44 percent said they would experience “a great deal of anxiety” if they lost their phone and couldn't replace it for a week.

Disconnecting from technology is a hard habit to break, but it is a luxury.  Get unplugged.  You will thank me for it. Not only does it allow you to be more present with yourself, but it also strengthens the connections with your work colleagues, partners and family members.

According to a 2011 study published in the Journal of Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, people aren't addicted to smartphones themselves as much as they are addicted to “checking habits” that develop with phone use, including repeatedly checking for news updates, emails, or social media connections.

Silence your phone before bed. Read a book instead. Give your brain and your eyes a chance to rest.

Healthy Habit #4 – Sleep More

We all know how it feels when we don’t get enough sleep – we wake up feeling groggy and grumpy. Lack of sleep impairs your ability to pay attention and retain new information, resulting in a lack of productivity and concentration. Extensive research has been done on the effects of sleep, showing that it is critical for healthy brain functioning, emotional wellbeing, and quality of life. Therefore, it is vital that you make it a top priority.

If you are someone that struggles to get 7-8 hours of sleep, try building sleeping habits into your bedtime routine. Avoid stimulants, meditate, put away your phone or your computer, or make an effort to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.

The Happiness Project: Or, Why I Spent a Year Trying to Sing in the Morning, Clean My Closets, Fight Right, Read Aristotle, and Generally Have More Fun author, Gretchen Rubin, writes about the importance of having a bedtime ritual, which can pave the way for an optimal experience the next day.

Studies have shown that it takes, on average, 66 days to form a new habit. Self-care is so important. Start today, challenge yourself, and watch your life transform for the better.

I would like to share with you something that I’ve been doing every single day for the past two years, as part of my morning routine.  This exercise is called, “The Five Minute Journal”.

Using the science of positivity to improve happiness, this journal is structured in such a way that inspires you to start and end each day with gratitude.

You fill out one page/day. At the top of each page, there is an inspiring quote or some sort of action that you commit to doing at the start of each week.

In the journal, there are three questions that you ask yourself every morning: “What are you grateful for?” “What would make today great?” and“What is your daily affirmation?”

I would like to share with you my responses:

#1 “What are you grateful for?”

Today, I put that I am grateful for Gods unconditional love, the self-help industry, and NLP. Gratitude is so important. Every day you want to think about what you are grateful for. Life is a gift, and we need to focus on the good, and appreciate everything that we have.

# 2 – “What would make today great?”

I put recording videos, working-out at the gym, reading and learning, and setting results for the week.

#3 – “What is your daily affirmation?”

I said, “I love my life”, and I say it like I mean it. I force my brain to believe it. It is important that you repeat your affirmations with conviction, passion and emotion. In the evening, you write down three amazing things in the journal that happened during your day.

These are my responses:

  1. I had an awesome team meeting with Lynette and Tyrone
  2. I recorded videos
  3. I facilitated an awesome webinar for my affiliate marketing mastery customers

When you write down amazing things, you celebrate them, which forces you to focus on the good. Lastly, you ask yourself, “How could I have made today better?”  I responded with, “I could have woken up earlier today”. I am a strong believer in the power of rituals. This is another tool to help make your rituals a lot more effective.

The Five Minute Journal is a simple and effective way of increasing your well-being and happiness every day.  Take five minutes every day to invest in yourself. As Neil Patel once said, “Its not about the time that you devote, but rather what you devote to that time that counts”.

Video transcript

Hey, everyone. Stefan here, from ProjectLifeMastery.com. In this video, I'm going to share with you guys something that I do every single day as part of my morning ritual. Something that has been a part of my morning ritual process now for about the last two years. Something that's really made a difference in my life. As you guys know, anything that's really helped me in my life, that's made an impact on me, enhanced my quality of life, I want to share that with you guys, that's my mission, that's what Project Life Mastery is about.

It's something that a lot of people have asked me about, because I've shared it a little bit on my social media, on my Snapchat. It's actually something that I have actually bought for my family as well, my girlfriend, my sister. They benefit and love it as well.  What it is, is called The Five Minute Journal. You might have seen this before, it's basically a journal. I know the founders of the company, they're in a mastermind group that I'm a part of, and it's a journal that basically helps you every single day, takes five minutes, for me, less than five minutes, and you basically fill out one page a day.

At the beginning of the book, it basically explains how it works. How it works, I'm not sure if you can see this, the different basic principles of it, the power of it. You don't need something like this, you could just have your own journal or do this in Evernote, but I like to have a physical journal like this. I use Evernote a lot for my planning and stuff like that. They actually have something called The Productivity Planner as well, I've got that in my office. I use both. I mean, I just like to have the physical version as well, as well as I do more in depth on my computer.

The Five Minute Journal – how I use it

Anyway, every single day you fill out the page, you put in the date. At the top, there's an inspiring quote or there's some sort of action that you'll do for the week. For example, the quote that I have here: “Society is always taken by surprise and any new example of common sense.” That's by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Here's one by Martin Luther King Jr.: “If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” Great quote.

You get a great quote every day, and then there are three questions here to put in what you're grateful for. Okay, three things what you're grateful for. Give you an example, today I put, “I'm grateful for God's love, God's unconditional love. I'm grateful for the self-help industry. I'm grateful for NLP Neuro-linguistic programming.” I actually put the NLP one because I was actually doing some research and catching up on some NLP stuff the other day.

Three things that I'm grateful for. I try to force myself every day to think of new things I'm grateful for. You guys know the power of gratitude. I've been sharing the power of this in my morning ritual videos, how important it is, and my morning ritual mastery program as well, the power of gratitude. Every day you want to think about what you're grateful for. You want to feel it, you want to associate with it. You want to think about the little things that you can be grateful for in your life. You can do this without a book.

I like to write it down and journal it. I remember Lady Gaga, she was on Oprah one time and she was sharing … Because Oprah's got … She writes down in a journal five things every day that she's grateful for. Lady Gaga does it. It's a life-changing thing. I love it for that reason. I just put in real quick three things every single day I'm grateful for.

The next part is, what would make today great? You put in three things. I like the simplicity of it because you don't need to have this big criteria for the day. All you need to just … What are the three top most important things that would make the day great for you? For me, I put today, “Recording videos”, which is what I'm doing right now. “To work out at the gym. To read and to learn.” I'm reading a lot of great books right now. Also, I actually put one more which was, “Set results for the week.” You could put four if you want.

The next part is putting in your daily affirmation. Every day you force yourself to create an affirmation. It could be an affirmation you already have or use every day, or it could be a new one. The one that I put in today was just, “I love my life. I love my life.” I'll usually say it a few times, so I write it in and then I'll say it a few times, and when I say it, I say it like I mean it, like, “I love my life. I love my life!” Like I really do love it.

Even if you don't love your life, say it like you mean it, right? Force your brain to believe it, that you actually love the life that you have. That's it. That's all you do for the morning. It's as simple as that. What you do in the evening time is, for your evening ritual. Here's for the daytime and then here is for the evening time. What you put in for the evening is three amazing things that happened today.

You've got to be grateful for the days that you have

What are three amazing things?  I'm going to fill it out right now. Right now it's getting to evening time, so I'll fill it out. Three amazing things for me that happened today was, I had an awesome team meeting with my operations manager, Lynette, as well as Tyrone. “Awesome team meeting.” It is a really good team meeting because we did a lot of brainstorming. It was actually a lot longer than we normally have it every week too, so we went really deep into some great stuff. I'm really proud of that, happy for that.

Another great thing is just recording the videos. Today I spent the day just recording a bunch of videos which are really good, I think are really going to benefit you guys. I might have already released some that you guys have seen as well, but I always enjoy this and making a difference in this way. “I recorded awesome videos.”  Third thing was, I had an awesome webinar today, that I did for my Affiliate Marketing Mastery members. It was great. We had an awesome turnout for it. It was about over two hours.

Tons of great questions and people shared a lot of gratitude with me as well, and it was just a really great moment to be able to connect and engage with my customers and hear their feedback and their compliments and their praise is always great as well. That was a really great moment that happened today. I'm going to write, “MM webinar.” You're putting those three things, and when you put them in, the amazing things, you actually celebrate it. I'm like, “Wow, that's amazing. I had an amazing day.”

I'm forcing myself to come up with the good for the day that happened. Because every day, no matter how bad you think it is, it's always just your perception, it's only how you're interpreting the events of the day. You might think, “I didn't do anything today, it was a horrible day.” No, there's still great positive things that happened throughout the day that you've got to be grateful for and appreciate. You've got to be grateful for the days that you have.

The last question is, how could I have made today better? How can you make today better? For me, let's see, what could I have done? I think I could have woken up a little bit earlier today. I'm going to put that in, “Wake up a bit earlier.” Yeah, I mean, if there's anything you also want to add to it, you could put that in. It forces you to also think about how you can improve your future days as well. Great process that you go through. I enjoy it. Less than five minutes a day.

Everybody has five minutes for their ritual

You don't need this book. You don't need a journal like this. You can do it in your own journal, but this is only twenty bucks. Twenty bucks for this. It's really high quality too. It's really good. They ship to Canada. They ship, I think, almost everywhere. A lot of people that I know use it as well. If you guys want to check it out as well as The Productivity Planner, I've got a link below that you guys can click on in the description, or you can go to ProjectLifeMastery.com/fiveminutejournal.

Five as in F-I-V-E minute journal. I'm an affiliate for this, so if you decide to purchase through my affiliate link I earn a commission for it. Some people think that I just do this like I'm sharing these things just to make commissions and stuff like that. It's not. The reason why I do this is because people ask me constantly, for me to share these things with people. If you look at my Snapchat, all the messages that I have, people are just constantly asking me, “What are you using? Where can I get this” Or, “Where can I get that?”

That's why I do these videos. I want to share with you guys the things that have benefited me and helped me in my life. I'm not sharing these things just to make a profit. If I can make some money through an affiliate link, you want to support me through that way and buy through a link, great, I appreciate it. It helps support me, it helps support my business, pay my team, and be able to add more value to you guys as well, but that's not the reason why I do it. The reason why I do it is because people ask me constantly for it.

There's always some people that complain and say, “Oh Stefan, you're just trying to make some money off of people.” No, these are things that I legitimately use every day. You come over to my house, if you were to follow me with my rituals, you see it every day on my Snapchat, all that sort of stuff, I use these things every day. I benefit from them, and I don't share anything that I don't personally benefit from and that I don't believe would benefit you as well.

You don't have to, you can use your own journal if you want, but I just wanted to share this with you guys, because I think it will help some of you and just help make the process a little bit easier. If you guys want to check it out, again, there's a link below. If not, that's totally fine as well. I just wanted to share that with you guys because I think it can help some of you, and if not, just remind yourself to be grateful every day and to plan out your day and to have rituals.

You guys know I'm big on rituals. Morning ritual mastery. I really believe in the power of it, guys. The more that you can spend in your rituals, the more it's going to enhance your life. This has just been another tool that you can integrate to help make your rituals a lot better, along with some of the other things that I recommend, these are all things that have helped me and I think will help you as well.

Are you not a morning person? Let’s admit that for a lot of people, starting their day right can be a struggle. This is why hitting snooze on your alarm is so tempting especially once that alarm goes off.

A lot of us can’t find the motivation to perform our work, especially during the early parts of the day. Regardless if you are an employee, a student or a stay at home parent, these are things that you can change!

A lot of people jump-start their day drinking cups of coffee to enhance mental alertness and focus. Though it is a normal practice, this isn’t something ideal.

After a couple of months, caffeine’s overall effect will most likely wear off leaving you sluggish to start your day. You’ll be surprised only to realize that you’ve been unproductive for the past hours.

Start your day like Tony Robbins

But what if you could start your day like Tony Robbins? Tony Robbins is considered the world’s most popular performance coach. You may have remembered him in Shallow Hal with Jack Black, but he is more than that.

Tony Robbins has already sold millions of books and videos and is selling tickets to his seminars. He has also coached key personalities from Serena Williams to Bill Clinton. Now, why would you want to learn how to start the day like Tony Robbins? Regularly doing events in front of 10,000 people, not to mention dealing with celebrities can be a bit stressful. His usual day could easily last around 12 to 14 hours.

According to Tony Robbins, one integral part of his day to day routine is how he starts his day. Dubbed as the Tony Robbins Morning Routine, it is something that you can follow to make a positive change in your life. Everyone knows that the most important part of your day is to find ways to boost your vitality, get what you need to be done and to move toward success.

If you start your day with a reactive state, then it changes your mood. If you are negative when you wake up, you are going to find that it lasts as a routine throughout the day. If you keep doing this as your natural pattern, and you will find that you are always stressed and in a negative, reactive state.

Tony Robbins morning routine is one of the most effective ways to boost your energy and to become positive. His approaches are known to build every part of the body to stronger and more effective ways of starting your day.

Tony Robbins Morning Routine

Tony Robbins Morning Routine starts with plunging into a cold pool or tub just to wake his body up. According to him, he does this not because he’s a masochist, but he believes that nothing wakes your system better than a radical shift in temperature. In his interview, he even revealed that sometimes, he would even go to a river when it is snowing.

These days, he finds cryogenic therapy as an alternative to the painful ice baths. Cryogenic therapy has been originally used in Japan to treat arthritis. These days, cryotherapy has been used by athletes to recover after a tiring workout.

What it does is to drop the end user’s skin temperature by 30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit within just two to three minutes. This reduces inflammation and signaling the release of endorphins. After waking his body up, he then proceeds to perform the most important part of the Tony Robbins morning routine.

Priming ritual of Tony Robbins

He mentioned that if you don’t have 10 minutes for yourself, then you don’t have a life. Since then, he practiced the Tony Robbins morning routine called priming, which is composed of three parts. Also, he usually incorporates meditative music while doing this.

1. Breathing ritual

Tony Robbin's morning routine starts by focusing on the way he breathes, and the way he moves. This first step allows him to feel good about himself by adjusting how the body reacts. The first part of his priming ritual involves meditative breathing exercises. Though it looks simple, this is a powerful step towards kick-starting your day effectively.

Tony Robbin's morning routine completes three sets of 30 Kapalabhati Pranayama breaths. This yoga exercise is usually done by sitting straight and taking deep breaths. Next, he exhales forcefully by constricting the abdomen.

Every breath is done in quick succession. And in order to conclude the first part of the priming ritual, you’ll inhale deeply followed by deep exhalation. Though a considered by yoga practitioners as a dangerous technique for novice yogis, Tony Robbins incorporated this ritual because it has produced positive changes on how he moves his body.

2. Be grateful for what you have

The next step with the Tony Robbins morning routine involves thinking of three things that he is grateful for. It is pretty common these days that we see a lot of negative people who just can’t help but rant. Instead, what Tony Robbins does is to count his blessings.

This particular exercise can make a huge difference in the way you live your life. It can change the way you perform your work, to how you interact with other people. And all it takes is a small dose of positivity.

You can be grateful for the smallest things and even the big things that happened in your life. For instance, it could be as simple as the weather or the wind on his face. This helps change his attitude throughout his day. It keeps him from being angry, and it also keeps him from being fearful of things in life.

To help you feel grateful over different things, try asking yourself the following questions:

  • Who are the people who love me?
  • What are the things that I enjoy doing?
  • What are the things I accomplished so far?

3. Pray

Tony Robbins believes in the power of meditation. After being grateful for things that he has in his life, Tony Robbin's morning routine proceeds with prayers for his family and friends. He has considered prayers as a spiritual exercise than something religious in nature.

4. Diet.

Tony Robbins Morning Routine starts with feeding his soul and his body. He has what is called an “adrenal support cocktail.” This consists of vitamin C, antioxidants, methylated Vitamin Bs and other high powered superfoods that everybody needs.  His morning routine also consists of free range eggs and coconut bread. This boosts energy levels that Tony Robbins is interested in.

5. Exercise.

For 15 minutes every morning, Tony Robbins’ morning routine is committed to health for his body. His focus is to use processes such as anaerobic exercise, using massive amounts of energy to boost every part of the body. This form of exercise is used because he believes that he can use the fastest method while getting the most results – and without expending too much energy.

6. Stimulating the Body.

As mentioned above, Tony Robbins spends some of his time plunging into cold water with a hot-cold plunge. The approach is to stay in a hot, steamy sauna for a short amount of time, and afterward, he takes a plunge into cold water (at about 57 degrees). He does this in a nearby river to stimulate his circulation, heart rate, and vitality.

Tony Robbins’ morning routine also consists of a back inversion that he will hold for 2 minutes. This assists with decompressing the spine and lowering the heart rate. As a result, the body is able to rebalance and the flow of energy in the body normalizes.

If you have seen Tony Robbins in action, then you know he exerts energy and is able to get massive results. He’s known for working 16 hour work days, attending non-stop events and maximizing his exposure and involvement to the world.

It all starts with the morning routine that Tony Robbins uses. By spending a little time for his physical, mental and spiritual health, he is able to conquer each day and motivate millions of individuals around the world.

Conclusion

Do you usually exert a lot of effort throughout your day that you find it hard to recover the next day? Or maybe, you feel that you haven’t been performing well especially in the morning? If you’ve been wondering how to start your day right, try implementing the Tony Robbins morning routine.

This routine could change the way you live your life from how you interact with your loved ones and colleagues, to how you enjoy your work. Not only does this help you prep your body for a long day, but it also gives you the right state of mind to approach whatever challenge is ahead.

Tony Robbins believes that these small practices can make a huge benefit to how you are going to live your life. Not only do you feel fulfilled on what you do, but you may also even feel happier to do your usual routine.

Planning  the day is a common morning routine of some of the most successful people in the world.

The key everyday is to be proactive, not reactive.  That means to schedule the primary outcomes you want to accomplish for the day, including the reasons why those outcomes are important and all the actions you're going to take.

It's also important to understand leverage, as well as focusing on the highest priority activities first thing in the morning.

Inside Morning Ritual Mastery, I explain how to create a step-by-step morning routine that will benefit your life by proactively setting up the day to be a success for you.

In this video, I share a bit about my morning routine and how I plan the day, which is usually after the first segment of my morning ritual.

My morning routine is the most important part of my day.  Without taking time each morning to prepare myself mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, I'm unable to perform at the highest level and give my all.

By having an empowering morning routine, I start off the day happy, excited, passionate, full of energy, motivated, and productive.  I literally feel “unstoppable”.  I'm unfazed by challenges or problems that might show up, because I'm coming at them from a powerful state.

Not only that, but my morning routine also guarantees that my health and body are taken care of each day.  I'm getting healthier, stronger, faster, and in better overall physical shape through my morning routine.

In this video blog, I share a bit about my morning routine and how I start off the day in a powerful way.  If you want to know more about how to create our own morning routine, then check out my flagship program, Morning Ritual Mastery.

My Step-By-Step Morning Routine

I'm always changing up my morning routine, as I always ensure that my morning routine is relevant to where I'm at with my life and what I'm trying to accomplish.  I often tell people in Morning Ritual Mastery, how you want to create our own personalized, custom morning routine that will SERVE YOU!

What I do each day might not benefit you as much.  Instead, you want to cultivate your morning routine around the emotions that YOU need to cultivate most in your life.  Or around shaping the beliefs that YOU need to develop the most.  Or doing exercises or activities that will bring you closer towards your goals and the life that YOU want.

None the less, by viewing my morning ritual or routine, you'll be able to get some great ideas and see how I start the day.

Here's how it begins…

7:00AM – I usually wake up around 7:00AM, however, sometimes it's earlier and sometimes it's later.  It will depend on the day before, but I often strive for consistency.  I sleep anywhere from 6-8 hours per night.

7:01AM – I always force myself to SMILE in the morning.  No matter what.  Smiling has amazing benefits and helps to change your state.  It also helps you start off the day happy and appreciative.  Some days I automatically smile without thinking about it, other days it takes a bit of effort.  None the less, the simple act of smiling is easy and powerful.

7:02AM – I make my bed and then head to the bathroom to do my business, brush my teeth and wash my face.

7:05AM – I head to the kitchen and drink 9.5 alkaline water from my water ionizer.  I often will mix in some greens powder, liquid chlorophyll, or lemon/lime to alkalize it even further and provide more health benefits.  Hydration is critical first thing in the morning.  I don't drink any caffeine or coffee or anything like that (sometimes might have matcha green tea, but that's it).

7:10AM – I take a few supplements in the morning.  Lately I've been doing intermittent fasting, so I don't typically eat breakfast until noon or in the afternoon (usually a 16 hour fast from my last meal).  Intermittent fasting has fat loss benefits and other health benefits that allow you to perform better.

7:15AM – I put on my shoes, head downstairs to the gym or outside and go for a walk/run.  I always start with a 5 minute walk, doing some breathing exercises.  I then run for at least 30 minutes and then do a 5 minute cool down.  As I'm running, I'm usually listening to or watching something inspirational on my phone.

7:55AM – I do at least 5 minutes of stretching.  This helps my body feel much better, get rid of tension and increases my flexibility.

8:00AM – I come back to my apartment and do some reading and journaling.  I read at least 10 pages of a good book.  I also journal and write out what I'm grateful for, what I enjoy about my life, and a few other things by having a “conversation with myself” as part of my morning routine.

8:15AM – I now work on cultivating my state by asking myself empowering questions, such as “What am I happy about?” or “What am I grateful for?” or “What am I most looking forward to today?”  I'll also often do some incantations to help put myself in a peak state and cultivate empowering belief systems.

8:30AM – To wrap up my morning routine, I'll plan out the day and get ready to jump into work.  I aim to work on the most important, highest leverage things for me to accomplish that day.

At the end of my morning routine, I'll also celebrate and reward myself – an important step for reinforcing habits and developing consistency, which I teach inside Morning Ritual Mastery.

This is my morning routine right now – it often changes, especially when doing my morning ritual while traveling.

However, I aim to cultivate 3 core areas of life, which I teach inside Morning Ritual Mastery.  They are: your body, your mind and your spirit.

Your morning routine doesn't have to be as long as mine.  It can be 5 minutes if you choose.  The physical exercise is what takes up the bulk of my morning routine.  However, you want to again create something that benefits YOU and serves you in your life.

So what is your morning routine? Is your morning routine serving you in your life and empowering you? Do you feel amazing in the morning, happy and productive? If not, then it's time to make a change and raise your standards! How your start the day will determine, or at least influence, the rest of your day.

Start it fast and strong and powerfully! The most successful people in the world all have morning rituals, from Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, and I could go on and on and on. If you want to create our own empowering morning routine, then check out Morning Ritual Mastery by clicking here.

In this video blog, I reveal a preview of Morning Ritual Mastery and share the importance of having an attitude of gratitude as part of your morning routine.

I believe that each morning it's important to be grateful.  You already have an amazing life and so many things to be grateful for right now – it's just focusing on it and taking it in.

There's many people out there in the world that seemingly “have it all”.  They have the success, money, fame, relationship, education, etc… yet they're unhappy because they aren't grateful for all that they have.

At the same time, there's people that have seemingly NOTHING – they're broke, struggling in their life, might be sick or disabled, yet they're happy because they focus on what they're grateful for.

So what are you grateful for in your life?

What could you be grateful for if you wanted to be?
