This is my anxiety story.

When I was in high school, my anxiety was so crippling that I would skip school. I felt anxious being around anyone, to the point that I couldn't even speak. It was so bad that I would rather fail my classes than stand up in front of a group of students and do a presentation.

I was anxious about anything and everything. After a lot of inner work, I was able to overcome my anxiety, with no medication. Through trial and error, I found 5  strategies that work best for me.

Don't get me wrong… I still get anxious now and then. However, I am better able to stop anxiety dead in its tracks. The reason why a lot of people struggle to overcome anxiety is that they don't heal the root cause of their anxiety.

Instead, they focus on their physical symptoms without addressing the psychological issue. When I used to feel anxious, I would look for ways to escape or avoid negative emotions. In short, I didn't want to feel.

Instead, I numbed my pain through video games. Researchers have found that using video games as a coping mechanism for anxiety predicts symptoms of gaming disorder. I received short-term relief from my anxiety when I played video games. However, it created a myriad of problems in my life, long-term.

It wasn't until I learned how to effectively feel and cope with painful emotions that I was able to heal my anxiety from the inside out. I want to help you do the same. Let's dive into 5 ways that I am able to overcome anxiety.

1. Meditation and breathwork

Anxiety is only experienced when your mind is focused on the future. The fear of what could happen keeps you removed from the present moment. It doesn't feel like it, but anxiety is designed to protect you from a danger that may occur in the future.

If you have experienced pain or trauma in your past, it's natural to worry that you may experience it again, which will cause you to feel fear in the present and imagine the worst-case scenarios.

Most often, the things that we fear never come to fruition, even though we spend countless hours feeling anxious about them. Meditation takes you away from the future and brings you back to the present moment.

The purpose of meditation isn't to try and stop your thoughts altogether. Rather, it's to become an observer of them. Every time that you notice your mind getting the best of you, bring yourself back to your breath.

The goal of meditation is to train your mind to refocus and calm itself. Give yourself the gift of silence and inward reflection each day, even if it's just 10 minutes.

I like to use guided meditation apps to meditate. Two of my favorites are Calm and Headspace. Your mind is a muscle. The more that you meditate, the less anxiety you will have.

Breathwork is an active form of meditation for releasing anxiety. Think of your mind as if it were a kite and your breath was like the wind. Taking deep diaphragmatic breathing (wind) helps to calm the mind which brings you back to the here and now.

When you engage in deep and rhythmic breathing, you activate the vagus nerve, turn on your parasympathetic nervous system, and pump the brakes on anxiety. There are two different breathwork techniques that I would recommend.

Box Breathing:

This is a powerful technique for bringing the breath back to its regular rhythm. You breathe in through your nose and inhale for 5 seconds, hold your breath for 5 seconds, and then exhale for 5 seconds. When you exhale, pause and hold your breath for 5 seconds. I recommend repeating steps 1 through 3, three to seven times.

Wim Hof Breathing:

Wim Hof is known as The IceMan. He has broken Guinness World Records for withstanding extreme temperatures and holding his breath for long periods of time. He created a powerful breathing practice that involves taking 30 deep breaths, where you inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

After those 30 breath cycles, you hold your breath for 1 minute and then take another deep breath in and hold that for 15 seconds. I like to repeat that process twice. This is one of my favorite ways to relieve anxiety and put myself in an optimal state.

2. Move Your Body

Moving your body is another great way to relieve anxiety. Emotion is energy in motion. When you change your physiology, you change how you feel. Most people feel their anxiety when their breathing is shallow.

The best way to counteract this uncomfortable physical sensation is through radical movement. I like to put on music and dance each morning. Instantly, I feel amazing.

Your body and your mind are connected. Whatever feels stuck or stagnant in the body can be released through movement.

3. Heal Your Pain

Oftentimes, people have anxiety in adulthood because they have yet to heal their unresolved trauma. Early evidence of cellular memory shows that when we experience trauma, our brain and body’s cells hold an imprint of the traumatic event.

When a child experiences something traumatic, it is common for them to detach from their emotions as a way of coping with their pain. The anticipation of future trauma can manifest itself as anxiety because the mind and body are in a constant state of fight or flight.

Yes, trauma can change the brain, but so can healing. Even though the pain inflicted on us was not our fault, I believe that healing that pain is our own responsibility. There are many ways that you can heal trauma.

Working with a licensed therapist who specializes in trauma recovery and abuse is a great way to heal emotional wounds and turn your pain into power.

Another option is doing psychedelics or plant medicine like Ayahuasca to heal trauma. I recently had a life-changing Ayahuasca experience at the Soltara Center in Costa Rica that allowed me to heal my past trauma on a much deeper level. Only you can decide which healing modality works best for you.

4. Surrender and Let Go of Control

Anxiety comes from trying to control things in your life. Control is an illusion. We don't have full control over anything. We have influence at best. Life is unpredictable. You may have a plan for how you want your life to look, but life doesn't always like your plans.

It will hit you with twists and turns that will force you to change course and go down paths you never thought you'd take. People get into trouble when they resist the redirection.

The key to overcoming anxiety is learning to release the need for control. Whatever you resist, persists. When you are able to surrender to what is and trust that everything that is happening in your life has a purpose, you set yourself free.

The most painful events of my life have shaped me into the person I am today. If I hadn't gone through the worst days of my life, I would have never started investing in my personal growth, which inevitably led to me creating my dream life.

When painful things happen in our lives, it's easy to instantly judge the events as “bad”. However, when you adopt the mindset that everything is happening for you, you are no longer a victim of your circumstances.

In turn, you are better able to bounce forward from adversity and recognize an experience, either good or bad, for what it is – an opportunity to grow and become more.

If you want to learn more about what it means to surrender, I encourage you to read Michael Alan Singer's books, The Surrender Experiment and The Untethered Soul. If you want to do some deeper inner work on this subject, Michael has a great online course that I recommend called Living From A Place of Surrender.

5. Dopamine Detox

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter in our brain that gets released whenever there is an anticipation of a reward. In fact, marketers of different companies are aware of this. They get you addicted to their products by stimulating your dopamine levels.

Dopamine is healthy and natural. It's what gives us motivation. However, the problem is that we live in a world that is constantly overstimulating our dopamine levels. Whenever you have a spike in dopamine, there will always be a crash.

This manifests itself as a dopamine hangover. It can take almost two weeks for your brain to normalize after you've experienced a dopamine spike. When you come down from a dopamine spike, your dopamine levels are low. This can negatively impact your mood and create long-term mental health challenges.

The solution to all of this is doing a dopamine detox. Cutting out and/or eliminating whatever is stimulating your dopamine is key. This is what allows your brain to reset itself so that anxiety and depression dissipate.

This may mean spending 24 hours or more without technology. I use a screen time blocker on my phone and computer. This allows me to limit how much time I use certain apps. For example, I give myself 30 minutes max scrolling on Facebook and Instagram.

Keep in mind that you will experience withdrawal symptoms when you're detoxing from dopamine. You'll feel worse before you feel better. As you are resetting your biochemistry, it's helpful to create an empowering morning ritual.

A morning ritual will help you stay energized, focused, and motivated.

For the last 15 years of my life, I've been studying the rituals of the most successful people in the world. I've compiled these rituals into a book that I wrote called 67 Morning Ritual Habits For The Body, Mind, and Spirit so that you can benefit from them. A lot of these rituals will help relieve your anxiety so that you can take back control of your life.

If you want to reprogram your mind and take your life to the next level, I've got a 7-day Morning Ritual Mastery program that shows you how you can model the most successful morning rituals of the most successful people in the world. The program consists of daily video lessons, downloadable MP3 audios, and worksheets.

These are 5 ways to overcome anxiety.

You don't have to live with anxiety forever. Do the inner work to get to the root cause of your anxiety and trust that you have the power to heal yourself. There is life on the other side of anxiety and it's waiting for you with open arms.

How would your life change if you knew how to get rid of anxiety naturally?

Anxiety is a debilitating condition that can affect every area of one's life. If you struggle with it, you know how difficult it can be to live with. When it strikes, everything feels like it is out of your control and you are unable to think clearly. As a result, you feel helpless.

If you think that you are fighting this battle alone, you are not. Globally, anxiety facts show that 260 million people suffer from anxiety disorders.

The tricky thing about anxiety is that a lot of people don't even know what they are anxious about. This can make it difficult to seek out support from others. Moreover, there is a heavy stigma that exists about anxiety. This causes a lot of people to feel shame and embarrassment.

You don't need to live with anxiety anymore. There is a cure, and it is staring back at you in the mirror. Close your eyes and imagine waking up in the morning, anxiety-free. Anything is possible. It all starts and ends with you.

In the video below I talk about how I overcame shyness and social anxiety.

Are you ready to learn how to get rid of anxiety naturally?

It starts with making a commitment to yourself that you are ready to heal your life. I hate to break it to you, but there is no magic pill that will get rid of anxiety overnight. It will require that you make some major changes to your lifestyle.

You are already on the right track, just by reading this blog post.

In the medical system, medication is the golden rule for how to relieve stress and anxiety. However, this is only a band-aid solution. Instead of prescribing pills, we need to address the root of anxiety.

By doing so, we empower people to learn how to get rid of anxiety naturally and take back control of their lives.

Anxiety isn't something that you want to manage. Rather, it's something that you want to remove from your life forever. Throughout my 20's, I struggled with shyness and social anxiety, to the point where I was unable to talk to people. On top of that, I also had depression.

As a result, I was bullied and picked on by my peers. This went on for many years. Anxiety became a part of my identity. I thought it was who I was. That turned out to be BS.

A lot of people put too much effort into ignoring or avoiding their anxiety. Unfortunately, that's not how you rid yourself of it.

Researchers have found that people perform better when they acknowledge their anxiety. Labeling their emotions and accepting that feeling anxious can be part of the process, helps them devote their time and energy to their goals.

The best way to eliminate anxiety is to explore ways that you can address your symptoms.

Yes, your anxiety still may pop up from time to time, but knowledge is power. When you know how to catch it before it starts, you empower yourself. It's all about being one step ahead of the anxiety game.

Here are 7 ways for how to get rid of anxiety naturally.

1. Exercise Regularly

How you use your body determines how you feel at any given moment of time. Think about what happens to your physiology after you go for a run or do a sweaty yoga class.

I'm assuming you feel great! Your mind is clear and you feel unstoppable.

A regular exercise routine can be a natural form of medication. According to some studies, regular exercise works as well as medication for some people to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. More importantly, the effects can be long-lasting.

2. Eat A Well-Balanced Diet

There is a connection between what you put into your body and how you feel. Have you ever heard of the adage, “You are what you eat?”

Be mindful of what you are putting into your body because it may be negatively affecting your physiology.

Some great foods to reduce anxiety include leafy greens, healthy fats, like avocado or coconut oil, seeds, legumes and organic meats. More importantly, do your best to avoid all sugary foods, caffeine, and alcohol. This is one of the most holistic ways to get rid of anxiety naturally.

It may sound like a death sentence, but if it means you don't have to experience anxiety anymore, isn't it worth it? On top of that, you will live a healthy and well-balanced life. It's a win-win.

3. Face Your Fear

I overcame my anxiety naturally by facing it, head on. It wasn't easy, but I quickly learned that the only way out of the dark place that I was in, was through it.

The idea is to work slowly at facing the thing which you fear the most until you reach your final goal.

When we are forced to step outside of our comfort zone and live uncomfortably, we stretch ourselves. Your success in overcoming anxiety, depends in part, on your willingness to purposefully experience it.

I encourage you to not shy away from anxiety. Instead, learn how to make friends with it.

4. Practice Mindfulness

Learning how to be calm is an inside job. How would it feel to start your day feeling calm and grounded? You have the power to control how you feel.

Meditation is a powerful medium that can help you achieve this state of being on a daily basis.

Meditation connects us with our anxiety, and that is why it is such an important practice. I'm not a meditation guru by any means, but it has been something that has transformed my emotional, mental, and spiritual state over time.

We don't always have control over how a situation plays out, but we can mindfully change our response to that situation.

You have the power to choose a more constructive way of coping with stress, rather than a way that leaves you feeling depleted, anxious, and overwhelmed.

5. Seek Out Help

Oftentimes people who have anxiety suffer in silence, for fear that they will be judged as “mentally ill” or “damaged.” This is far from true. Reaching out for support from a friend, loved one, or a therapist is one of the best ways to cope with anxiety and other life stressors.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an extremely effective treatment for anxiety. This is an approach that works with changing the way that you think, feel and behave, through the modification of old thinking patterns and habits.

At the end of the day, you need to find something that works best for you.

6. Engage In Positive Self-Talk

Oftentimes we are not even aware of our self-talk because it is unconscious. If you struggle with anxiety, you need to be mindful of the dialogue that is going on in your head. Why?

Because negative self-talk can aggravate anxiety, sending you down a rabbit hole of ruminative thoughts and reactive behavior. Our inner critic feeds off of our worries.

When you engage in positive self-talk, over time you can consciously shift your state of mind so that you feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions.

Instead of saying, “I am helpless”  focus on more empowering thoughts like, “I am in control of how I feel.” In this place, there is no room for anxiety to run free.

7. Master Your Emotions

If you are someone that experiences anxiety on a regular basis you know how easily your emotions can spiral out of control – your heart begins to race and your thoughts go in circles.

Oftentimes, the source of one's anxiety isn't so much the experience that is making them anxious. Rather, it's the emotions that are connected to the experience.

From personal experience, when I tried to fight against my anxiety, that is when I felt more of it.

According to psychologist Erin Olivo, “If you want to stop stressing, you need to be in charge of your emotions, rather than your emotions being in charge of you.”

The next time that anxiety strikes, be proactive. Stay calm, pay close attention to what is happening in your body, and acknowledge your emotions. We may not have control over the physical symptoms, but we can control how we react to them.

In doing so, we have the power to shift our mindset and stop anxiety dead in its tracks.

When you master your emotions, you master your life.

My anxiety did not define who I was, and it does not define who you are either. In the words of Seth Godin, “Anxiety is nothing but repeatedly re-experiencing failure in advance. What a waste.”

If you commit to practicing these lifestyle changes, you will see a massive shift take place in your life.

Now that you know how to get rid of anxiety naturally, what strategy will you commit to starting today?

You can read all the anxiety advice out there, but none of it means anything unless you take action. Visualize what your life would be like if you didn't have anxiety anymore and hold onto that feeling.

Change begins with a single step. Are you ready to master your anxiety and take back control of your life?

Do you want to know how I hit emotional threshold and changed my life? We all cope with emotions in different ways, based in part on our nature and how we are conditioned to respond to challenges in our environments.

John Medina, author of New York Times Bestseller, Brain Rules: (Updated and Expanded): 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School, says that each of us has a unique reaction to stress, which makes it difficult to quantify it.

An emotional threshold is the tipping point at which we perceive a stimulus, threatening or not, and act on it. Depending on the situation, sometimes we have the ability to effectively manage our emotions and make rational decisions, while other times our emotions overpower us, which ends up dictating our decisions.

Research consistently shows that the skill of self-regulation is necessary for reliable emotional well-being. Your emotional threshold can expand or contract throughout your life. If you want to master your life learning how to express, experience, and regulate your emotions needs to be at the top of your list. Are your emotions driving you or destroying you?

When I was in high school I was a very shy, introverted kid, who was obsessed with video games. The online gaming world satisfied my nature and provided me with a comfortable means of non-human enjoyment. I felt safe not having to interact with others in social settings, because that is what made me most anxious.

I was also a very sensitive kid, so when I fell head over heels in love with a girl and she broke my heart, I was devastated. The pain from that experience was a wake-up call. I didn’t want to live a life of suffering, so I made a decision to change my life. Between the ages of 19-21, I would force myself to go out to clubs.

I didn't want to drink and party, but rather I wanted to place myself in these uncomfortable situations so that I would force myself to engage with others and develop the social skills that I desired. I knew that if I placed myself in enough uncomfortable situations, I would eventually get comfortable being uncomfortable. Actions like these are what drove me to improve my social skills, mindset, and confidence.

I remember another experience that made a large impact on the direction that my life would take. At the beginning of my online business, I was really struggling financially. During this time, I was in traveling throughout Cambodia and one day I felt compelled to give back to the people. I gave $20 to one of the poverty-stricken children that were begging on the side of road. Once I gave the money to the child, about 30 other children surrounded me and asked for money as well.

That was a life changing moment for me because I realized that I never wanted to be in a position in my life where I couldn’t give. From that day forward, I made a decision that I never wanted to live from a place of scarcity because it had created so much pain and worry in my life. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest, and so I set out on a journey to create the life that I desired.

One day I looked at myself in the mirror and said, “Enough is enough.” The pain that I was experiencing motivated and inspired me to shift the way that I was living, and take the steps necessary in order to change my life and achieve success. These were the experiences that led me to hit emotional threshold and changed my life!

Many people are victims to their emotions and believe that they have no control over how they feel. I used to adopt this scarcity mentality, but once I realized that only I am in control of my choices, everything in my life changed. Most people cover things up because they don’t want to face the reality of their lives, and they make it acceptable to settle. If you can get to the truth, you can change anything.

If you want to have a larger emotional threshold, you need to learn how to channel negative energy into something positive. Condition your mind so that you approach challenges in life with a proactive mindset. When you do, you will master your emotional state and feel more in control of your life.

In the words of Paul Wong, “The biggest challenge to self-control is emotional regulation. Successful people know how to make their emotions their servants rather than their masters.”

I would like to share with you how to make stress and anxiety your friend.

There are so many negative associations with the words, ‘stress’ and ‘anxiety’. These emotions are real and can be very debilitating for many people.

I want to offer you a different way of looking at these emotions. What if you could use stress and anxiety to your advantage, and proactively change your life for the better?  I’m here to show you how.

I experience stress and anxiety in my life, but I don’t view them as bad things. Why? I believe that in order to grow and achieve your goals, you have to step outside of your comfort zone.

The comfort zone, as defined by Lifehacker, is a “behavioural space where your activities and behaviours fit a routine and pattern that minimizes stress and risk” — the operative words here being “stress” and “risk”. We all have a zone of comfort that is safe. We are wired to seek out comfort, which is why it is so hard to break away from it.

When we step outside of our comfort zone that is when we experience the most stress and anxiety. You might be wondering, “Then what is the point? I want to minimize negative emotions, not increase them.” Because in order to be the person that you desire to be, you need to take a risk. Those who are willing to do so will achieve the greatest rewards.

The magic happens when we place ourselves in challenging environments, when we are pushed to achieve our goals. Psychologists that have found that, when we challenge ourselves, we tend to rise to the occasion (Beck, 2012). T. Harv Eker said it best – “Nobody ever died of discomfort, yet living in the name of comfort has killed more ideas, more opportunities, more actions, and more growth than everything else combined. Comfort kills!”

Living uncomfortably is the only way to live. When you are uncomfortable, it makes you grow and stretch yourself. I am willing to purposely experience stress and anxiety. I know that my success depends, in part, on my ability to embrace these emotions with an open heart.

These emotions provide me with opportunities to do more, in my business and in my life. Unfortunately, too many people play it safe on a daily basis, and people wonder why they don’t achieve their goals. You need to place yourself in challenging situations. When you push yourself and embrace the unknown, you conquer your fears.

How would it feel if stress and anxiety were your friend? What would happen if you changed your perception of these stereotypically negative emotions? I always want to create more in my business, and sometimes that makes me nervous. However, I know that it is what I need to do in order to achieve more success.

For example, public speaking still makes me a little anxious, but I do it because it helps me grow as a speaker, it makes a difference in the lives of others, and it fulfills my mission. It’s a win-win.

I was very socially awkward in my early years. People always ask, “Stefan, how did you overcome your shyness and social anxiety?” Simple. I faced it, head-on. Don’t shy away from stress and anxiety. Move through it. Challenges in life are normal. They are blessings in disguise, which exist in order to make us better people.

When you change your perception and view challenges as opportunities to enhance your life, instead of worsening it, you master your life. You can’t always control the events that happen in your life, but you can control the meaning that you ascribe to those events.

Have you ever looked back at a stressful time in your life and been grateful for the experience because it allowed you to be the person that you are today? I know I have. Life is designed to teach you valuable lessons so that you can learn and grow from each experience.  Life is the greatest teacher of all. Make stress and anxiety your friend, not your foe.

I hope my words shed light on how to make stress and anxiety your friend. Trust that whatever happens in life, you can handle it. Be brave, take risks, and be fearless under pressure.

Do you struggle with fear, anxiety and worry?

Most people in today's society struggle with some form of fear and anxiety.

It could be fear of failure, fear of rejection and anxiety about things not working out.  Have you ever felt that? If the answer is yes, then don't worry – you're normal.

Fear is a survival instinct that is built into all human beings.  It's a GOOD THING because it's kept us safe and alive up until this point of our lives.  It protects us.

How To Overcome Fear And Anxiety Once And For All

In order to overcome fear and anxiety, you need to understand that fear and anxiety are emotions.  They're emotional patterns, similar to any other emotion you'd experience – anger, frustration, depression, happiness, confidence, excitement, passion, etc…

A common misconception is that these emotions are often experienced as the result of the outside world.  That it's their job, their boss, the economy, or something outside of their control that is making them feel the fear and anxiety.

This is 100% not true! While outside events can trigger anxiety and fear, they are not responsible you experiencing them.

Anytime you put something outside of your control and put blame on it, you have no power to change it.  Instead, I want to invite you to take responsibility for every emotion you experience, because as you'll about to learn, YOU are the one that creates it.

In order to learn how to overcome fear and anxiety, it's critical to understand that there's 3 things that determines how you feel at any given moment of time.  Tony Robbins calls this the “Emotional Triad”.

1. Physiology

Your physiology, or how you use your body, is the first factor that determines how you feel in any given moment of time. EVERY emotional state has a pattern of physiology associated to it. If you're fearful and experience anxiety, what is the physiology that you use during that time?

I can almost guarantee that your breathing is shallow, there's tension in your body, your voice becomes quieter, you avoid taking up much space, have less eye contact, and have slouched shoulders. The way you use your body is determining how you feel.

What if you radically changed the way you're using your body in that moment? What if you went for a run?  Or exercised intensely?  How would you feel after 30 seconds of that? By intensely using your body, you experience an entirely different set of emotions and states.

Going for a run or exercising isn't always a practical way for overcoming fear and anxiety, however, it works and proves to be an example for changing your physiology. Alternatively, what if you just starting breathing more fully?  What would that do for your fear and anxiety?

Put your shoulders back.  Put a big smile on your fear.  Elevate yourself, speak loudly, and start taking up more space.  Now how do you feel?  Likely completely different. Begin practicing your physical response to specific situations. Be aware of how you respond and why.

Are you moving into a negative state of fear? Or, are you able to look fear in the face and conquer it with your boy movements alone. Practice using your physical space to immediately begin to transform how you are reacting to certain situations and understand how to overcome anxiety and fear.

You will find that being aware of and changing your physical response also alters your thoughts and perspectives. To understand how to overcome fear and anxiety, it starts with how you're using your physiology.  Become aware and master your body in any given moment and you'll master your fear.

2. Focus

What you focus on in any given moment will determine how you feel. If you're focused on things not working out and the worst case scenario, then it's a given to how you're going to feel.  Your focus produces your emotions.

“Whatever you focus on you feel”.

To learn how to overcome fear and anxiety, you must master your focus and thoughts.  You must direct your focus on what it is you want, not what you fear. Someone that is confident in any given situation is focusing on entirely different things than the person that is fearful.

To learn how to overcome fear, focus on only positive thoughts.  Focus on and see things working out.  Focus on the good in the situation.  Make a picture of it and visualize it. As you focus on your thoughts, be aware of what changes about the situation. You will find that your mindset begins to change.

How does your focus change as you look at what you want? Do you see a difference between a state of anxiety and your new picture? Look at how the focus and mastery of your thoughts changes your perspective. Often, the emotions of fear and anxiety overtake your perspective. With this method, fear has a place in your mind that becomes insignificant. Instead, you are working with a stronger, laser like focus that can conquer any situation.

You will find that as you turn your focus, it immediately changes your decisions and eventually, the outcome. This is an easy way to learn how to overcome anxiety and fear. Sure enough, if you do this, you'll feel entirely different about the situation.

3. Language

Your language patterns or beliefs also influence how you feel.  To be able to conquer your fears and anxiety, you must be able to change your beliefs and the words that you speak to yourself. What are the most common beliefs or phrases you use when you experience anxiety and fear?

“This won't work.”

“What if I fail?”

“I'm not good enough.”

“Maybe another time…”

“What if I get rejected?”

These common phrases or beliefs also influence how you feel in any given moment. To learn how to overcome fear and anxiety, you must be able to take control over the words you speak. What are more positive words or phrases you can say instead?

“I can do this!”

“Things always work out for me.”

“I am unstoppable!”

“I make things happen.”

“I am confident.”

If you say these phrases and words, you would feel entirely differently. The key is to speak them with a strong physiology and to focus on them simultaneously. If you can do this and take control over these 3 areas of influence, you will be able to overcome any fear or anxiety that is holding you back.

How to Overcome Anxiety and Fear: Next Steps

Continue to practice your responses to fear as it arises. Are you aware of your thoughts and emotions as it comes up? Overcoming fear takes practice. Practice every day, continuously. Look at your responses and be aware of what you are responding to and why.

As you become more aware, you begin to master the dynamics of fear and how it appears in your life. By learning how to overcome anxiety and fear, you not only change your thoughts and emotions. You will find that other areas of your life begin to transform. The road blocks you faced before disappear. The things you had about anxiety before are now enjoyable.

Without fear or anxiety in the way, you may start working on your ideas or dreams. Maybe you will decide to work towards the relationship you desire. Without fear or anxiety, what was before a limitation becomes unlimited. To truly understand how to overcome fear and anxiety, you need to become a master of your state.

You need to condition yourself daily to be who you want to be.  That's how you make it lasting. Life mastery is a process. It allows you to dive deeper and to find solutions. It allows you to take responsibility with what happens to you.

When you work with certain rituals and practices, it is easier to master anything that is stopping you from what you want, whether it is success, relationships or a happier life. With these steps, you have a pivot point to complete mastery. I'm a big fan of morning rituals or a daily rituals to condition yourself everyday to experiencing what it is that you want.

If you consistently take control over your emotions and condition the states of confidence, that will now become your new base-line, default state of being.

Give it a try!
