These 21 habits will help you become the person that you've always desired to be.

We are creatures of habit. Most of our life is governed by unconscious patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving.

According to research conducted at Stanford University, a human being has approximately 60,000 thoughts per day. Here's the shocking part… 90% of these thoughts are repetitive. If your repetitive thoughts are negative, you'll have a rough day.

I want to help you overcome disempowering habits and take back control of your life.

Are you ready to create the habits of the most successful people in this world? Read this!

How are habits formed?

Neuroscientists have traced our habit-making behaviors to a part of the brain called the basal ganglia, which plays a key role in the development of emotions, memories, and pattern recognition. Everyone's brain circuitry is different.

When you repeat a habit or behavior, neural pathways are formed in your brain. The more that you do something, the more that those neural pathways get reinforced and habits become automatic. Most of us are living our lives on autopilot.

If you had to focus on and be aware of everything in your life, you would be overwhelmed. I'm going to guess that you don't focus on the fact that your heart beats one hundred thousand times per day? Or that blood is constantly rushing into your ears?

Your brain filters out distracting thoughts so that you are not overloaded with too much information. Think of your brain as if it were a computer that has an operating system. Inside of that operating system are software and apps, and some of which may be outdated or disempowering.

Here's the great news… YOU have the power to cultivate empowering ways of thinking and behaving. Once you start practicing these new habits, eventually they will become automatic.

How Long Does It Take To Build New Habits?

Your prefrontal cortex is the part of your brain that contributes to your discipline and willpower. For some people, it's easier to develop a new habit (less than two weeks), while for others it takes longer (30-90 days).

The same thing is true with breaking bad habits and addictions. Think about it… if you have an addiction to something and it's a behavior that you've engaged in for many years, neural pathways inside of your brain will be very strong.

When you try to stop destructive behaviors and cultivate more empowering behaviors, the neural wiring is still present. It's been set up in such a way that when you engage in a behavioral pattern, you receive a source of pleasure.

Kind of like a ‘familiar' friend who has always been there. However, deep down inside you know that he or she is not good for your life in the long term. The less that you indulge in destructive habits, the weaker those neural pathways will be in your brain.

Over time, you'll become less impulsive, have more self-control, and your cravings will go away.

Keep in mind that it will probably take 30-90 days for you to develop empowering habits.

You need to train your brain to create a new neural pathway.

On that note, I want to share 21 habits for your health, wealth, & happiness. These habits have personally enriched and empowered my life. Let's dive in!

1. Wake Up At The Same Time Every Morning

It's important for your mind/body to have consistency. When you disrupt your sleeping patterns, it can take a toll on your cognitive and mental health. If you want to test your sleep I highly recommend getting the Oura Ring.

It measures your sleep, activity, heart rate variability, and body temperature. It will even give you indicators on how you will perform for the day based on the measurements that it does for your body.

When you wake up is very important for your circadian rhythm. Pick a time when you want to wake up every day and stick with it. Typically, I like to wake up when the sun rises. Usually, around 6 am. I use a device called the Human Charger that emits blue light through ear pods. It helps with energy production and helps reset your circadian rhythm.

2. Practice Gratitude

If you're not already grateful for what you have, what is the point in attracting more? I always start my day with a grateful heart. I take out a journal and write down 10 things that I'm grateful for. More importantly, I reflect upon what those things mean to my life.

The more that you focus on gratitude, the more rich that your life will be. When I used to do one-on-one coaching a lot of my clients had programmed the habit of focusing on what was not working well in their life. I would ask them to email me 3 things that they were grateful for each morning and evening.

We must learn how to appreciate the small things in life. In the end, the small things become the big things. The happiest people find joy in the simplest of pleasures. Make it a priority to lose yourself in the magnificence of life. There is so much to be grateful for.

3. Cultivate Self-Awareness and Reflection

Self-awareness is the most important life skill. You can't change anything that you're not aware of. I am hyper-aware of anything that prevents me from being my best. I like to think and analyze why I behave and feel the way that I do.

Every morning I journal my thoughts. Through that process, I get altitude on my life. Also, I like to talk to myself. It's a way for me to collect my thoughts and release what no longer serves me.

In the words of Jim Rohn, “A life worth living is worth recording.” The more awareness that you can bring to different aspects of your life, the more likely you will be able to identify stuck points that need changing.

4. Be Positive and Optimistic

If you follow me you know that I'm a positive person. A lot of tragedies will take place in your lifetime. It's a reality that everyone has to face. People you love will die. You will die. Life is fleeting which is why we need to enjoy every moment while we are here.

Unfortunately, we are inundated with a lot of negativity on social media and the news. The news is not designed to inform you. Rather, it's designed to startle you. They are a business so they want to get your views.

They do this by inducing fear inside of you. People pay attention to fear to ensure their survival.

At the same time, there's a lot of joy and beauty in the world. People are achieving great things, babies are being born, people are falling in love and getting married. The list goes on and on!

What you feel is going to be based on what you focus on. If you focus on the positive, you'll attract more good things into your life. I believe that you can find the good in every situation, even the direst circumstances.

In his book Learned Optimism, Martin Seligman demonstrates how optimism enhances the quality of life. He talks about the difference between pessimists and optimists.

Pessimistic people tend to be more accurate about things, but they're also unhappy and less successful in life. On the other hand, optimists tend to be less accurate in how they see things but they are happier and more successful. It's important to be accurate obviously, but also see the good side of life!

5. Plan Your Day/Week/Life

A lot of happiness and joy comes from living in the present moment. However, if you only live in the present moment, you won't plan for your future. It's a balancing act. Thinking ahead allows you to get ahead.

Getting clear on your goals and the vision that you have for your life will give you a sense of direction. If you don't have a plan, you'll fall into someone else's plan. You don't just want to make a living. Rather, you want to design your life. Part of how you do that is through planning.

I like to plan out my week in advance and schedule things inside of my calendar. Every morning I get clear on 3 high-leverage activities that I want to accomplish. I do the best that I can to stick to that plan. However, a plan is not a prison. You can modify and adjust accordingly.

6. Commit to Never-ending Improvement

The most successful people in the world are obsessed with learning and growing. They believe that change is possible, which fuels their desire to become more.

In today's world, you must counteract the negative information that you consume on the news with positive information, which you can find in courses, books, or podcasts to name a few things.

We all learn differently. Find something that inspires you, go deep with it, and commit to learning something new every day. You can overcome any challenge in life with knowledge. However, it's up to you to get resourceful and take action.

7. Exercise

Moving your body is extremely important for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. A lot of studies have shown that exercise has more benefits than antidepressants. Many of us live a very sedentary lifestyle.

We are meant to be active throughout the day. As an entrepreneur, I sit a lot. Once I purchased a LifeSpan Treadmill Desk the game changed. When I'm not traveling, I use my desk daily. It has radically shifted my energy levels, improved my mood, and my overall level of productivity.

8. Meditate

In this crazy world where we are overstimulated daily, learning how to calm our minds is a superpower. The more that you are in your head, the more suffering you will experience. Meditation is the antidote to stress and anxiety.

It allows you to develop your pre-frontal cortex which gives you more control over your thoughts. I like to meditate with the Muse headband which tracks the activity in your brain and measures your meditation session. Alternatively, I also like to meditate with the Calm or Headspace apps.

9. Review Your Goals and Vision

Your vision gives your life direction. You always need something to move towards. If you don't have a compelling future, you'll get lazy. Whenever you're experiencing challenges in life, review your goals and vision.

Doing so allows you to redirect your focus so that you don't lose touch with your why. Maybe this looks like reciting your goals out loud or looking at your vision board. The more you are aware of how you are showing up, the more that you will move in the direction of your dreams.

10. Recite Affirmations

Every day you want to speak out loud about who and what you want to become. Whatever you attach the words, “I AM”, to is what you become. The words you speak have power behind them.

I like to write out the beliefs that I want to cultivate on flashcards and then I express those beliefs using incantations. This means that I use my voice and body to embody the meaning behind the words.

When you do this enough times, you'll start to believe what you're saying and start adopting a more positive outlook. Over time, you will start to embody the person you've always desired to become.

11. Be Disciplined and A Person of Integrity

Being a person of integrity is doing what you say you're going to do. You want to make sure that you always honor your commitments to the best of your ability. When you don't do what you say you're going to do, you lose confidence and trust in yourself.

You may not feel like doing something, but I promise that you'll be proud of yourself for taking action. Start small. Whatever goal you set, make it attainable. Don't make a commitment that you can't keep.

As you get mentally stronger, you will do more because you will have made it a priority to flex your discipline muscle.

12. Do Health Testing

I'm a big fan of being proactive with my health. A lot of diseases and sicknesses can be prevented if people do their research and get health testing. Every year I get my blood work checked.

Also, I do the following tests – gut microbiome, stool, micronutrients, bone density, heavy metal, and hormones. The sooner that I know what I am deficient in, the sooner that I can supplement or change my lifestyle to ensure that I am in optimal health.

Yes, there are some expenses to doing testing, but that comes with the upkeep of having a body. Your health is your wealth. Don't take it for granted and do make it a habit of getting tested.

13. Detox and Cleanse

I like to give my body a rest from the lifestyle choices that I make. All of us are under a lot of stress. Your body is working non-stop. Every time that you eat a meal your body has to digest it. This requires a tremendous amount of energy.

Your body is constantly trying to detoxify and eliminate through your bowels and urinary tract. A lot of times your body can't cleanse itself because you're putting in more toxicity than your body can eliminate. A juice fast or a water fast is a great way to give your digestive system a break.

14. Get A High-Quality Sleep

A lot of people don't get enough sleep. In today's stress-induced world, sleep isn't a necessity. Rather, it's a priority. Sleep research suggests that 7-8 hours is what we need to wake up feeling refreshed. I'm a big proponent of having an evening ritual.

I have a few devices that help me fall asleep, one of which is a chili pad. This is a pad that regulates the temperate of your mattress so that you will never be too hot or too cold, thereby allowing you to have a deeper sleep.

I also like to wear Swannies blue-blocking glasses before I go to bed. These glasses help to block out blue light and help my brain to release melatonin which ensures I get high-quality sleep.

Lastly, I lay on a PEMF mat that produces pulsed electromagnetic fields around my body. This mat programs my body towards deep sleep.

15. Rest and Recover

If you don't take time to rest and recover, you will burn out. Stress is the worst thing for your health and well-being. Have a rest day every week or every month. Or maybe find a time where you can take one to two weeks off with a vacation.

Disconnect from everything. It allows you to get perspective on your life. As an overachiever, I'm always on the go. It's my nature. It is hard for me to take days off. However, over the years I've learned how important it is.

I'm OK with making less money for a specific period if it means that I can get refocused and re-energized. If I don't take care of myself, everyone suffers – myself, my team, my followers, and my business. Rest now leads to more success in the long term.

16. Develop Your Traits or Skills

You want to cultivate the habit of working on some aspect of yourself that can benefit your career or business.

Each of us has a money-making skill. What is yours? Discover what that is and master it. By cultivating this skill, over time it will help you develop your competence which will give you more confidence.

17. Manage Your Finances

All successful people are good with their money because they focus on it consistently. It's best to start cultivating this habit when you don't have a lot of money because it will benefit you down the road when you have more money.

Also, make sure that you get into the habit of saving money. Put 10% of what you make into a savings account for emergency or use that money to invest in your future or yourself. If you can save more than 10%, amazing.

18. Invest

You need to learn how to be an owner, not just a consumer. Most people only consume products. These are liabilities rather than assets. Conversely, an investor invests in assets that appreciate and grow in value over time.

Make it a priority to invest in yourself, your business, or the stock market every single month. Be proactive about your future and create a financial plan. Make sure that your finances are always growing so that you can comfortably retire.

19. Socialize and Network

We are social creatures. Socializing does amazing things for our mental and emotional well-being. As humans, we can't survive without it. Lack of connection can lead to things like isolation, depression, and anxiety.

Socializing allows you to sharpen your communication skills. Networking is a very important success skill. It allows you to build rapport with like-minded people who are doing great things in this world.

Having an empowering ecosystem will do wonders for your life. Make it a priority to meet new people you are in alignment with. Also, put yourself in proximity with successful people and learn from them. You are the 5 people you spend the most time with — make your 5 people the best group possible!

20. Give and Contribute

You want to strive to be a go-giver, not a go-getter. The act of giving to others does amazing things for you. Contribution makes you feel more connected to humanity. Moreover, it makes you more compassionate to others' experiences.

When you give selflessly you are training your brain to be abundant. You are caring about someone else, with no expectation of receiving anything in return. The fulfillment that comes from that is indescribable.

In the words of my mentor, Tony Robbins, “It is not what we get. But who we become, what we contribute… that gives meaning to our lives.”

21. Practice Your Faith

This means different things to different people. Whatever you're fearful of is just your imagination that is undirected. Conversely, faith is your imagination directed. To live a great life requires faith and believing that things will get better.

That is what allows you to get through the hardest of times. I believe that there is a purpose for everything. Whatever you believe in, practice it daily.

There's a lot of things in life that are out of your control. However, if you surrender and trust that the Universe has a bigger plan for you, you'll experience so much more peace in your life.

These are 21 habits for health, wealth & happiness.

Please don't feel that you have to implement all of these habits into your daily routine. Of the 21 habits that I talked about, what is one habit that you feel can enrich your life?

How often are you going to practice this habit? Daily, weekly or monthly? Focus on cultivating one habit and mastering it. You can build more over time. I challenge you to take action and do a 30-day challenge!

When you change your habits, you change your life. When you change your life, anything is possible.

I went from broke to millionaire.

Those of you who follow me know my story. I didn't grow up having a lot of money. My parents went through a really bad bankruptcy, which resulted in them getting a divorce. This experience created a lot of turmoil in my family. Thus, from an early age, I associated pain with not having money.

I never wanted to struggle financially. When I was in my 20's, I made the decision that I would do whatever it took to become a millionaire. For 18 years I've been on a self-development journey. I've been learning and consuming knowledge from the most successful millionaires in the world.

I believe that one of the best and easiest ways to create success is to study success. Millionaires aren't lucky. Rather, they do specific things every single day that contributes to their success.

I intentionally placed myself in the right environments with people who were more successful than I was. Furthermore, I practiced the success habits of the super-rich. As a result, I became a millionaire at 27 years old.

These are the 7 millionaire habits that have made the biggest impact in my life. Let's dive in!

1. The Habit of Goal-Setting

If you want to become a millionaire, you have to know exactly what it is that you want. Nobody becomes a millionaire by accident. If you want to achieve massive success you need to have a millionaire vision. A vision gives you a sense of direction.

Take a moment and reflect upon what you want your life to look like 10 years down the road. Visualize it AS IF it has already become your reality. Activate all of your senses and imagine yourself there.

Create the experience of emotions you’d be feeling if you’d already achieved it. Get clear and specific on your destination. Your imagination is the preview of your life's coming attractions.

Once you have your vision statement, you then need to create goals. Goal-setting is a habit. It's not something that you just do once. I encourage you to break down your vision into yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals.

When it comes to setting goals, you must prioritize them. Also, you should regularly check in on the progress of your goals. Ideally, every single day. Doing so will help remind you what you are focused on achieving. The more that you focus on your goals, the more likely you will achieve them.

2. The Habit of Focusing On Your ‘Why'

What will determine whether or not you achieve your goals is the reason you have to take massive action. A lot of people have goals, but they are lacking motivation. This is why your ‘why' is so important.

You need to create a daily habit of reminding yourself why you want to become a millionaire. I'm sure that you have an idea of what you need to do to create more success in your life.

The reason why you aren't doing what you know you should do is that your ‘why' isn't strong enough. You're linking more pain to taking action than not taking action. That's what procrastination is.

It's not until you want something bad enough that you get what it is that you want. Are you willing to do whatever it takes to become a millionaire? If you want success bad enough, you'll go above and beyond.

I like to make a list of 100 reasons why I will achieve a specific goal. At first, you may struggle with this process. The ego wants you to stay inside your comfort zone. Push yourself and commit to coming up with 100 reasons.

Once you've got your list, make it a habit of reading a few of them every single day. Doing so will motivate you and ensure that you continue taking massive action.

3. The Habit of Massive Action

You cannot achieve anything in life without taking massive action. It is the holy grail. Everything else that we talk about is useless unless you're taking massive action. Massive action is a habit.

It's a muscle that you build every single day. The more actions that you take, the more confident that you will be. In turn, you will become empowered to do more. Every time that you take action, you move one step closer to creating the life that you want.

In today's digital world, knowledge is more accessible than ever before. Don't get me wrong… consuming knowledge is great. However, be mindful that you aren't overloading yourself with information to the point where you do nothing with it.

Analysis paralysis is our tendency to seek more information than is needed to make decisions and take action. If you are not implementing what you're learning, you're wasting your time and energy. Knowledge isn't power. Rather, it's potential power.

Knowledge is only power to the extent that it is used. The real power is taking massive action. Every day you have an opportunity to take action, whether it's exercising, meditating, working on your business, or reading books. When you commit to showing up for yourself, you master your time, health, and energy.

4. The Habit of Reframing Failure and Disappointment

Becoming a millionaire isn't easy. You will experience a lot of challenges along the way. There will be times when you make mistakes that waste your time and money. You'll have goals that you set that won't come to fruition.

What you expect should happen will not happen in the way that you wanted it to. That's called the process of success. Everybody who has become a millionaire has gone through these ups and downs.

The difference between those who succeed and those who fail comes down to meaning and perspective. Any time that you face a setback in life, you have two choices. You can either let your pain prevent you from taking action or you can reframe an event as a learning opportunity.

It's not what happens to you, but how you respond to it that matters. Successful people don't focus on what isn't working. Rather, they are constantly finding ways to leverage their fears.

Failure is a great thing! It tells you what works and what doesn't. Ultimately, this helps you pay more attention to what you are doing. As a result, you won't make the same mistakes twice.

When things get difficult, make it a habit of practicing reframing your failures. Over time, you will start making failure work for you instead of against you.

5. The Habit of Daily Learning

You're engaging in this habit right now! I commend you for it. Daily learning can be in the form of books, podcasts, YouTube videos, online courses, or mentors to name a few things. I have been improving myself on a daily basis since I was 17 years old.

In particular, building the habit of reading every day has helped me create a lot of wealth. If you love reading, check out my top 10 must-read books for creating financial freedom. If you want to be successful at anything, you have to model success.

Self-education will help you get to where you want to go, faster. This is how you will compress decades into days. The more that you learn, the more money that you will earn. It's that simple.

6. The Habit of Long-Term Thinking

Becoming a millionaire is a long-term game. Success won't happen overnight. To become a millionaire you will need to make important decisions. These decisions may not seem important to you when you're making them.

However, when repeated, these decisions can transform your entire life. Most people make decisions with their time and money on things that give them immediate gratification. Unfortunately, there is always a cost to doing so.

Millionaires delay gratification and make sacrifices that will benefit them, long-term. You have to pay a price to achieve success. I've had to make a lot of sacrifices to get to where I am today.

Again, ask yourself – how badly do you want success? Successful people do what others will not.

7. The Habit of Surrounding Yourself With Success

You are the by-product of the average of the five people that you spend the most time with. If those people are broke, lazy, and depressed, they are going to negatively influence your energy, belief systems, and behaviors.

If you want to become a millionaire, you've got to put yourself in environments with people who are already millionaires. You never want to strive to be the smartest person in a room. You won't grow in those rooms!

Rather, surround yourself with people who have already achieved what it is that you desire. In my experience, ultra-successful people are more than happy to share their recipe for success. I understand that it's easier said than done to surround yourself with millionaires. It takes time, but it's possible.

A great way to get in close proximity with millionaires is to attend their live events. If that isn't possible, learn as much as you can from them online, through their courses, podcasts, YouTube videos, books, or training programs.

If you aspire to be mentored by a millionaire, the best way to go about doing this is by adding value. Don't be a taker and just reach out to someone and ask him/her to mentor you. Always strive to be of service first.

Comment on their social media posts, write blog posts, or create YouTube videos where you mention their name and highlight their expertise. Win their respect and make them feel appreciated.

Will you apply these 7 millionaire habits?

Habits are the result of repeated actions. When I look back on my life, these are the habits that have contributed most to my success. Think and act as if you are already a millionaire. Which habit will you take action on today?

I want to share with you the 5 habits of young millionaire entrepreneurs.

Success starts in your mind. If you want to be a millionaire, you need to start thinking like one.

My fiancée, Tatiana, and I were blessed to become millionaires at 24 and 27 years of age, respectively. Early on, we made smart life and business moves.

As a result, today we have achieved financial freedom.

If you're ready to start developing success habits that will help you build long-term wealth, keep reading…

Are you ready to build a successful online business and become a millionaire? CLICK HERE to take my FREE quiz to determine which business is best for you!

Everyone has the potential to become an entrepreneur

In today's digital world, there are so many opportunities to make money online, whether that's selling physical products on Amazon, doing affiliate marketing, or being a Kindle book publisher. What is even more incredible is that you don't need a college degree to become a successful entrepreneur.

Don't get me wrong… a college degree is needed for certain careers. However, entrepreneurship is not one of them. A SurveyMonkey small business survey shows that independent business owners without a four-year degree now outnumber those with a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Tatiana and I are both self-taught entrepreneurs. Choosing this path wasn't easy, but our drive to succeed overpowered every obstacle. Building an online business requires discipline, persistence, grit, sacrifice, and a lot of hard work. At an early age, when our friends were drinking, going out, and having fun with friends, we were building our businesses.

The payoff from our efforts has been well worth it. Today, we have the luxury of financial freedom. Keep in mind that entrepreneurship is not for everyone. At the end of the day, it depends on how bad you want success.

Highly successful people engage in similar patterns of thinking and behaving. Let's talk about the 5 habits of young millionaire entrepreneurs. Both Tatiana and I modeled these habits from successful people whom we looked up to when we were in our 20s.

1. The Habit Of Delayed Gratification

Young people have more time on their hands and fewer responsibilities than adults do. Yet, they aren't always aware of this reality. Practicing self-control and being a teenager sounds like an oxymoron at best. Unfortunately, we live in a society where young people are conditioned to be impatient.

Avoiding a temptation that’s standing right in front of you so that you can hold out for something substantially better down the line can be challenging. However, if you cultivate the habit of delayed gratification early on, it will eventually become second nature to you.

Don't get me wrong, it's still important to have fun when you're young. However, if it's at the expense of building your future, you need to rethink your priorities. In our 20s, Tatiana and I spent most of our time focused on personal growth and building our online businesses.

We purposefully planned our lives, delaying short-term gratification for long-term rewards. Research shows that people who learn how to manage their need to be satisfied in the moment thrive more in their careers, relationships, health, and finances than people who give in to it.

Use your time wisely. Invest in your personal growth, make smart decisions, and build your self-discipline. Your future self will thank you for it.

2. The Habit Of Self-Improvement

Unfortunately, the traditional education system is not designed to help young people become millionaires. If you want to become a millionaire, you need to become an entrepreneur.

However, you won't learn how to be a successful entrepreneur by taking a business course at college. Instead, you have to learn from people who have already achieved the success that you desire. You are the number one resource in your life. The fastest way to succeed is to commit to being a student of life.

This is why I'm a big believer in learning something new every single day. Tatiana and I are always trying to shorten our learning curve by learning from other peoples' successes.

This is how you compress time and achieve success at a much faster pace. Read a book every day, listen to inspiring podcasts, invest in courses, hire a coach, find a mentor, attend seminars – anything that will help you develop a success-oriented mindset. The greatest investment that you will ever make is an investment in yourself.

You never lose when you work on your personal growth and development. In the words of Warren Buffett, who is one of the richest men in the world, “The more you learn, the more you earn.”

3. The Habit Of Taking Action

Younger people tend to be more open-minded and flexible. As people get older, they start building belief systems that aren't always advantageous. Sometimes they become more rigid in their thinking, which inhibits them from taking action. They wait for the perfect time to take action, failing to realize that there is no perfect time to do anything.

Interestingly, one of the reasons why Tatiana was able to become successful at such a young age was her naivety. When she was told to do something by someone she trusted and respected, she took action. She didn't question why something wouldn't work.

This mindset served her well, especially when it came to building her online business. She was a sponge, meaning that she was very curious and was driven to seek out and absorb new knowledge. Today, she has built a 7-figure business herself, helping people create financial freedom through building an eCommerce business on Amazon & Shopify.

If you have the desire to build an online business, I encourage you to follow her YouTube channel and Instagram page where she shares her best tips and strategies for success with eCommerce.

Be an action taker AND a finisher. Dabbling is a bad habit. If you want to be successful, you have to take focused action over a continuous period. This is how you build momentum and create long-term results.

4. The Habit of Contribution

The definition of an entrepreneur is someone who solves people's problems at a profit. The only way that you become a millionaire is by receiving money from others. The only way you receive money from others is by contributing to their lives in an empowering way.

You have to be creative and think outside the box. Create a unique product or service that adds massive value to your audience. Your income is in direct proportion to your contribution. If you want to make millions of dollars, find ways to impact millions of people, or solve the problems of millions of people.

As an example, both Tatiana and I have found ways to add value to millions of people on YouTube. Because of that, we have been rewarded financially. We have leveraged the power of the Internet in such a way that we've been able to scale our online businesses to 7-figures.

In our experience, if you help enough people get what they want, you will eventually get what you want. Take the focus away from yourself, get into the mind of your audience, and determine what their pain point is. Create a product that is so irresistible for them that they are willing to give you money in exchange.

Make your audience feel that they are getting so much more value than what they are paying for. If you can do this, you'll create raving fans and money will naturally flow into your life.

5. The Habit Of Goal Setting

By nature, young people are more inspirational and optimistic about the future. If you're young, use this mindset to your advantage! Set goals for yourself and create a compelling vision for your life. Get clear on exactly what it is that you want your future to look like.

Goals give you a sense of direction. However, your habits are what will determine how far you go and who you become. With so many of your actions controlled by your habits, it makes sense to focus your attention on building habits of success, equally as much as you set goals.

A lot of people fall into the trap of setting unrealistic goals. Not surprisingly, they get disappointed in themselves when they come up short. In turn, they may drop their goals altogether.

When it comes to goal-setting, I suggest that you break down your goals into smaller, manageable pieces and tackle one at a time. Create a list of actionable steps that you will need to take to ensure that you achieve every goal that you set for yourself.

These are the 5 habits of young millionaire entrepreneurs.

If you want to build long-term wealth, focus on building these million dollar habits into your daily life. Be willing to do the work to upgrade your mindset. Foster healthy ways of thinking and behaving that condition you for success.

Anyone can become a millionaire, but not everyone is willing to do what it takes to become one. Achieving success of any kind always comes down to how bad you want it.

It's time to get real with yourself… how bad do you want to become a millionaire?

How would your life change if you could feel confident every day, without fail?

Without confidence, it's hard to achieve much of anything. Where a lot of people get stuck is that they listen to their inner critic.

You know that voice that tells you all of the reasons why you'll fail or why you're not good enough?

I've got great news! This voice isn't you. It's merely a conditioned part of you that can be changed. Even better, you can transform your inner critic into your inner ally.

Confidence is a state of mind, meaning that it can be developed.

If you're ready to feel confident every day, you'll want to keep reading…

On a scale from 1-10, how confident are you?

The quality of your thoughts determines how you feel about yourself. According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive thoughts. Crazy, right? If confidence doesn't come naturally to you, its time to reflect upon how you speak to yourself on a daily basis.

I'm not saying that it's easy to wake up every morning feeling unstoppable, but it is possible. If you commit to flexing your self-belief muscle, you can feel confident every day. However, keep in mind that nobody is born confident. Confidence is something that you condition and create with practice.

The moment that you start doubting yourself is the moment that you have to change your state. One of the best ways to take back control of your day and your life is to create an empowering morning ritual. Every successful person in the world has one. Taking time every single morning to nourish your mind, body and soul is an act of radical self-love. If you don't make yourself a priority, everything else in your life will suffer.

By proactively putting yourself in a powerful state from the get-go, you set yourself up to win. You'll be in a better frame of mind to handle any challenges that you encounter throughout the day. The go-to confidence ritual that I practice every day is reciting incantations.

These are empowering phrases that you verbalize using your entire body. Incantations are about embodying the meaning behind the words. This is how you reprogram your mind and cultivate new and empowering beliefs.

In this proactive state, taking action is effortless.

Challenges become opportunities. Failure becomes feedback. Whatever emotional state that you choose to live in on a consistent basis becomes your default way of being. I used to be a shy and anxious kid. That was a state of being that I conditioned every day by engaging in behaviors that were enabling my shyness.

It's fair to say I had zero confidence or belief in my abilities. I knew that if I wanted to be a more confident person, I needed to practice being confident, even though it felt uncomfortable to do so. Doing hard things builds resilience.

It is what has allowed me to overcome my greatest insecurities in life and build the self-confidence that I have today. If your life feels like it's limited right now, it's only because you're limiting your mind to what is possible. Another effective tool for boosting confidence and training your brain to be unstoppable is to create a daily visualization ritual.

Close your eyes and envision what it would look like and feel like to have unshakeable confidence. Reflect upon a time when you felt really confident. Put yourself back in that place. Imagine all the details. The more you repeat a thought or a feeling, the sooner it becomes a belief, a part of who you are.

The next time you're in a similar situation where you desire to have more confidence, anchor yourself back to that confident experience you once had, and recreate those confident feelings. You'll be amazed at how quickly your emotional state will change.

Are you ready to feel confident every day?

Here's the hard truth – if you don't believe in yourself then nobody is going to believe in you. Believing in yourself doesn't have to be hard. Make it a ritual to show up for yourself every day. Flex your belief muscle on a consistent basis and watch your entire life change before your eyes.

In Steve Jobs' Stay Hungry Stay Foolish commencement speech to the Stanford class of 2005, he said – “For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today? ‘ And whenever the answer has been ‘No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

If today was the last day of your life, would you want to feel how you're feeling right now? Your answer may be the very thing that sets you free.

Rich people share similar habits.

The most successful people in the world don't get to the top of their game by acting like everyone else. Rather, they possess specific traits and behaviors that have helped them create wealth faster than others. In effect, they are willing to do what most won't do. Did you know that habits make up 95% of a person's behavior? You are the sum of your habits.

Everything that you have or don't have today is determined by the quality of your habits. Given that successful people have successful habits, it makes sense to pay attention to what they are doing. What one man or woman can do, another man or woman can do. There's no reason why you can't be rich. Anything is possible.

I've identified 5 rich people habits that have contributed to my financial well-being. If you have the desire to build long-term wealth, adopting these habits will help you achieve your financial goals.  Let's dive in!

1. The Habit Of Money Management

Being a great money manager means that you are on top of your finances 24/7. A lot of people avoid looking at their bank account or credit card statements. Is this you? You may not be happy to see how much money you currently have in your account. However, when you avoid the truth, you have no power to change your financial situation.

Cultivating awareness goes a long way when it comes to managing your money. I check my investments on a regular basis. Doing so ensures that I am on top of my finances and expenses. If I drop the ball, my expenses will creep up and my investments will get off track.

If you cannot manage the money you already have, you will not be able to manage larger sums as you become more successful. The best way to manage your money is to start budgeting. Be mindful of where your money is going every month. Find ways that you can spend less so that you're able to save money for your future.

The most successful people invest time, attention, and energy into their finances. The more that they think of ways to save their money and grow their wealth, the richer they become. Remember… whatever you focus on will expand.

2. The Habit Of Saving Money

If you can't save money, you're not going to be able to get ahead in life. The big mistake that I see a lot of people make is that they live paycheck to paycheck. Whatever money they have coming in goes directly towards their expenses. It's not how much money you make that matters. Rather, it's how much money you keep.

I know quite a few people who make a lot of money but they spend it all. Sure enough, they have zero savings. Hence, their money doesn't appreciate over time. I'm still frugal in some aspects of my life, despite the fact that I've already achieved financial freedom. In order to be a great saver, you have to be willing to sacrifice the present moment for your long-term future.

Start planning for your retirement. Think about where you're going to be in 30-40 years from now. When you start saving your money early, your money has more time to compound. I recommend saving 10% of what you earn. Be willing to delay gratification in the short-term. Your future will thank you for it.

3. The Habit Of Investing

A lot of people consume and spend money on products instead of investing in the very companies that create those products. What I love about investing is that it allows me to invest in incredible entrepreneurs who are changing the world for the better. In his book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki says that you need to invest your money into assets, not liabilities.

An asset is something that appreciates and grows in value over time. What assets can you invest your money into? The key to investing is to just get started! It is equally as important to invest in your personal growth and development as it is to invest your money. Taking care of your health and well-being will ensure that you are able to create more wealth. At the end of the day, your health is your wealth.

4. The Habit of Continual Learning

The more that you learn, the more money that you will earn. The most successful people are constantly upgrading themselves, whether that's from books, courses, or from being in close proximity with successful people. A five-year study of 177 self-made millionaires found that the self-made rich made a conscious effort to only forge relationships with individuals they aspired to be: other rich and successful people.

Successful people ask questions. They leave their ego at the door, never assuming that they know everything. As a result, they are better able to absorb new knowledge and put it into action. More importantly, they don't stop learning. They are up-to-date on cutting-edge trends in their industry which ensure that they are always one step ahead of the game.

If you want to achieve a high level of financial success you must adopt a growth mindset. I believe that everything is learnable. There is so much knowledge that you can consume on the Internet. Your level of income is in proportion to your level of self-development. The more that you commit to expanding your mind, the more money that you will make. It's that simple.

5. The Habit Of Giving

The only way that you make money is by contributing to others. The more that you give, the more that you will get rewarded. If you work a 9 to 5 job and you aspire to get a raise, give more! Think about ways that you can add more value to the company you work for. How can you help the company make or save more money?

This is what will help you stand out from other employees. In turn, you will create more opportunities to expand your skills and make more money. Similarly, if you're an entrepreneur, figure out how you can stand out from the competition.

Create a unique selling proposition that nobody else has. Make it a priority to over-deliver to your audience. In my business, I always focus on giving more than I receive. That is the formula for business success.

Which habit of creating wealth will you take action on today?

Keep in mind that you cannot implement these money habits once or twice and then expect to see results. Rather, you need to consistently practice them over the long-term.

There is one thing that I can be sure of… if you commit to building these rich people habits, wealth and financial freedom will flow into your life.

Everything in life feels difficult when you don't have a sufficient amount of willpower & discipline.

In my opinion, these two skills create the foundation for success in life. They help you make better decisions and inevitably, change your life for the better.

If willpower & discipline are so helpful, then why is it that so many people struggle to implement these skills into their daily lives? Great question.

Inside this blog, I'm going to talk about why these skills feel hard and share my secret to building lasting willpower & discipline.

Success doesn't come to those who sit on the sidelines. If you're ready to get in the game of life, keep reading…

Willpower is like a muscle.

Just like you go to the gym and train to get more muscle, you need to do the same with willpower & discipline. If you want to build mental strength, you've got to make it a habit of flexing these skills on a daily basis.

A lot of people assume that the development of willpower & discipline requires a lot of strain. Hence, they stay away from it. Anything that feels difficult usually creates unnecessary pain and suffering, right? Well, not exactly. The very thing that you don't want to do is the very thing that you MUST do.

However, improving yourself doesn't have to be a chore. It's all a matter of perspective. Research shows that you want to train your willpower regularly, but still, allow yourself to be relaxed from time-to-time. This is what will give your willpower muscle a chance to restore its energy levels.

At its core, willpower & discipline are all about self-control. The opposite of self-control is laziness. Have you ever met a successful person who is lazy? Highly unlikely. People with high levels of self-control are consistent in their thoughts, behaviors, and actions. They don't dabble. When something gets difficult, instead of throwing in the towel and giving up, they persevere. As a result, they are more likely to achieve the goals that they set for themselves.

So, the question is, “What is the secret to building willpower & discipline?” Every single day you've got to commit to doing something that is uncomfortable. This idea was first put forth by author and researcher, Angela Duckworth. In her book, Grit she talks about the “Hard Thing” rule which she practices with her family. It is designed solely to help her family develop grit (perseverance + passion).

Mastery requires deliberate practice.

Duckworth says that whatever you choose to do, “it has to be something that requires practice, something where you're going to get feedback telling you how you can get better, and you're going to get right back in there and try again and again.”

If you want to succeed in life, you have to be willing to do hard things. What are you doing in your life right now that is really hard? Something that you don't feel like doing, but you do it anyway. You don't grow by doing things that are comfortable. You have to be willing to step outside of your comfort zone and stretch yourself.

The more that you push yourself to do things that suck, the stronger you will become. Keep in mind that stepping outside of your comfort zone on a daily basis doesn't have to be an overwhelming activity. The best approach is to slowly build up your resilience for uncomfortable experiences.

An example of an uncomfortable experience is taking a cold shower every morning.

This is the go-to hard thing that I do every day as part of my morning ritual. At the end of my hot shower, I let the water run cold for 30 seconds. This simple act doesn't feel good when I'm doing it, but over time, this willpower transfers to other aspects of my life. Other examples of things that you may not feel like doing, but that will help you build willpower & discipline include:

  • Meditating
  • Waking up @ 5 am
  • Exercising for 30 minutes every day
  • Replacing coffee with tea

Your willpower gets stronger the more that you flex it. Start small. As your self-control grows, you can integrate more hard things into your daily life. Over time, you will feel more focused, confident, and in control of your life. In this state of mind, results come naturally because you've conditioned yourself for success.

THIS is how you build willpower & discipline.

What can you do today that is going to suck, but that will challenge you to grow and become more? If you can commit to this ONE thing, I promise that your life will get better.

What is holding you back in life?

In order to have what you want, you need to be willing to let go of what is no longer working. Knowing what you need to let go of requires self-awareness. Once you start to pay attention to how you move throughout your life, you will start to notice patterns. If these patterns are disempowering, so to will your life.

The truth will always set you free, even when it's painful to accept. If you want to become more, you have to be willing to embrace change. As Marshall Goldsmith said, “What got you here won’t get you there.” By sharing my journey and bringing attention to what I wish I had stopped sooner in my life, I hope it will help motivate you to make a change in your life.

Here are 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

1. Being Scared Of Failure And Rejection

I used to be terrified of failing, to the point that I wouldn't try anything for fear that I would make a mistake. When I was a kid my dad was really negative and critical. My siblings and I couldn't do anything right. I didn't get enough praise or reinforcement from my dad. In turn, I created a story that I wasn't good enough.

This pain fueled my belief that if I failed, that meant I was a failure in every aspect of my life. In effect, I was paralyzed by fear. Eventually, I hit my emoti0nal threshold. I knew that if I avoided failure and pain, I would only live a life of regret so I decided to use my pain as motivation.

A lot of people choose to stay inside their comfort zones because it feels safe. From personal experience, I have learned that nothing grows inside your comfort zone. If you want to become more, you must step into the unknown and get comfortable being uncomfortable. That is where success lies.

Once I started studying success, I found that every successful person endures failure. Not only that, but they fail well, meaning that they perceive every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

This idea was best expressed by Oprah Winfrey who said, “I don't believe in failure. Failure is just information and an opportunity to change your course.” If you want to succeed, you must be willing to fail forward. Never allow your fears to shrink who you could be. You only have so many days to live. Don't waste them.

2. Video Games

When I was a teenager, I was extremely shy. I hated school and I didn't have many friends. As a result, I was extremely isolated. Playing video games helped me escape reality and cope with my social anxiety. However, it also prevented me from developing social skills and self-confidence.

By emotionally numbing myself, I didn't have to deal with my problems which only made my problems worse. Luckily, I got to a point where I was tired of being depressed and lonely. I ended up selling all of my video games and did a 360-degree turnaround. I focused all of my energy and attention on personal growth and development.

3. Negativity and Complaining

Today, I'm a happy and upbeat person. However, I wasn't always this way. I used to be very negative. My immediate reaction was to look for the bad in every situation. I realized that it was all a matter of interpretation. In any situation of life, what is wrong is always available, but so is what's right.

There's a lot of horrible things that are happening in the world right now. The news will constantly point out the negative because that's how they grab your attention. The more views they get, the more ad revenue they generate. We need to remember that there is also a lot of positive things that happen in the world every day.

When you train your mind to look for the good, you attract more good things into your life. When you focus on what you are grateful for in your life, you are better able to see the world in a positive light. In turn, you are less likely to focus on negativity and hate.

Today, when I'm faced with a difficult situation, I ask myself, “What is good about this situation and how can I learn from it?” No matter how awful a situation is, there is always a silver lining, if you're willing to look for it.

4. Trying To Control Life

I used to be a control freak. This was my protection mechanism. If I didn't feel like I had everything under control, I felt helpless. What a lot of people don't realize is that control is an illusion. You don't have any control over the outcome of a situation. Life will happen and people will act how they want to act.

The only thing that you have control over is how you respond to adversity. Learning to surrender and let go is the purest form of freedom. I have learned to trust in a higher power, which for me is God. Everything in my life is happening for a reason and a purpose that serves me.

I don't know why things happen, but I have learned to have faith and trust the process. Adversity is an inevitable part of life. You cannot escape from it. Instead of resisting the pain, surrender to what is so that you can make room for what will be.

5. Eating Junk Food

When I was young, every meal that I ate was junk food, meaning that it had zero nutritional value. By choosing to put toxic foods into my body, I knew that I would pay the price for this way of living down the road. I thought that health was the absence of disease, but it's not.

Just because you don't have a disease doesn't mean that you're healthy. A lot of diseases can be prevented, based on what you're putting into your body every single day. I don't want to be the richest man in the graveyard. I know that by adopting healthy habits and taking care of my body I will get more out of life and, in turn, be a happier person.

6. Pornography

I was first exposed to pornography back when there was dial-up Internet. I saw it as harmless until it started to affect every area of my life. Over time, I began experiencing depression and anxiety. Even worse, pornography was affecting my ability to connect and relate to women. At a certain stage of my life, I even experienced erectile dysfunction.

Pornography trains your brain to experience sexual arousal from pixels on a screen. I could totally relate to this. When I was being intimate with a woman, I used to struggle to connect with her on a sexual level because my mind was obsessed with the images that I was watching on porn videos.

For a long time, I was in denial that I had a problem. When I tried to stop porn altogether, I couldn't. This was a huge red flag that I was addicted to it. Once I did a dopamine detox, my entire life transformed. Not only did I stop pornography, but I had more confidence, I felt happier, and I became more attractive to women.

7. Caring What People Think Of Me

I used to be a people-pleaser, meaning I wanted to make everyone happy, at the expense of my happiness. This was because I was insecure. I wanted people to like me, even if that meant saying yes to things that went against my values. I wasn't comfortable within myself.

Once I started creating better boundaries and loving myself more, I no longer felt like I needed validation from others. When you feel whole and complete, you stop caring so much about what people think of you.

Today, when people criticize me I know that it has nothing to do with me. It speaks about what someone is going through in their world. They are suffering and projecting their pain onto me. The best thing that I can do is send them love and compassion and continue staying in my lane, trigger-free and happy.

These are the 7 things I wish I stopped sooner.

If you find yourself repeating unhealthy behavior patterns that are keeping you stuck, never forget that you have the power to change the narrative. One decision can change the trajectory of your entire life. What are you ready to let go of so that you can make room for something better?

When you change your habits, you change your life.

Before you can break destructive habits you first have to commit to change. It takes a lot of willpower and determination to stop engaging in learned behaviors. Sometimes you have to hit your emotional threshold before you're ready to change.

This is the moment at which settling no longer becomes an option. The pain of staying in the same place becomes so much to bear that you become empowered to take action. Self-awareness is the first step to changing anything in your life.

A lot of people suffer from blind spots. They aren't even aware that they are engaging in disempowering habits. In effect, they rationalize and justify their behaviors because the truth is too painful. If you want to change your life, you must be willing to get to the truth.

Who am I today is very different from my younger self. I was in a very dark place when I was a teenager. My bad habits were limiting my potential and preventing me from being the person I knew I could be. Eventually, I got to a point where I was tired of being stuck and feeling depressed. I mustered the courage to look in the mirror and be honest with myself.

The truth set me free. Now is the time to get real with yourself…. what kind of life do you want to have? Is the way you're living now leading you in the direction of your dreams? If not, it's time to change your habits because you deserve to have an abundant and prosperous life.

However, if you do not engage in daily habits that foster that state of being, you will continue to stay stuck. I think you will agree with me that being stuck gets you nowhere in life. Because habits are processed in the brain thousands of times faster than intentional behavior, the only reliable way to change a bad habit is to replace it with a good one. The mere act of engaging in a healthy habit is more important than the habit itself.

The key to forming new habits is repetition.

I'm not going to lie… integrating new habits into your daily life is really hard at first. However, when you start doing something consistently, over time it becomes automatic. A lot of people make the mistake of diving headfirst into a new habit and then wonder they it's so hard to stick with it.

You need to start by making small incremental changes. This is how you will increase your willpower and ensure that your habit sticks. One of the most effective ways to develop new habits is to commit to a 30-day challenge. I've done challenges related to my exercise routine, waking up early, planning my days, and building my business. Pretty much every aspect of my life.

If you can commit to practicing one new habit over 30 days, it will give you the momentum that you need to start making long-lasting changes in your life. Lastly, I encourage you to find people who have overcome the same thing that you are struggling with. Have them be your role model. If they were able to change their bad habits, so can you.

This is how to start new habits that can change your life.

You can change any aspect of your life. If you tried in the past to overcome bad habits with no luck, the beauty of life is that you always get a second chance to try again.

You know deep down inside what is good for you, but nothing will change unless you do. Whenever you engage in habits of success that empower your mind, body, and spirit, you will be inspired to keep doing them.

What new habit will you commit to adopting into your daily life?

Writing in my gratitude journal every day has changed my life.

Gratitude is a powerful emotion. Reflecting and writing down what you are are grateful for primes your brain for joy and happiness.

Studies suggest that writing in a gratitude journal three times per week might have a greater impact on our happiness than just journaling every day.

What are you grateful for?

If you're struggling to come up with something, it's highly likely that you need a gratitude journal. However, there's a deeper reason for why gratitude isn't at the forefront of many people's minds. By nature, our brains are wired for negative thinking. Research shows that negative events have a greater impact on our brains than positive ones do, otherwise referred to by psychologists as “the negativity bias.”

It's a lot easier to focus on what we don't have than what we do have. Unfortunately, this default mode of thinking causes a lot of pain and suffering. Instead of dwelling upon what is missing in your life, what would happen if you took a few minutes every day to document what you're thankful for?

By consciously creating a morning ritual that allows you to look for the good, you rewire your brain so that it starts working for you instead of against you. This is why I'm a big believer in the power of a gratitude journal. Journaling about what you're grateful for is a proactive way of conditioning your mind to focus on the good.

Gratitude is an integral part of my daily morning ritual.

Every day I write in The 5 Minute Journal. This journal is designed in such a way so that you to start and end each day with an attitude of gratitude. As part of this exercise, one of the questions that I ask myself is, “What am I grateful for?” When I'm reflecting upon what I'm grateful for, I take the time to feel a deep sense of appreciation for each of the things that I write down.

I would like to share with you 10 things that I'm grateful for today.

1. God's unconditional love for me.

2. To share my life with Tatiana, my soulmate.

3. My body's immune system and relentless effort towards health and balance.

4. The mentors and role models that inspire and generously share their gifts with me.

5. To be able to live in a beautiful home in Panama.

6. The amazing friends that I get to experience fun things with.

7. My ability to travel the world.

8. The innovative geniuses of this world that create amazing technology that I get to benefit from, such as the Internet, my phone, and YouTube.

9. Access to clean water.

10. The chair that I'm sitting in right now.

I hope that I have inspired you to make a list of what you are grateful for. I encourage you to focus on the small things that we so often take for granted. Also, find different things to be grateful for each day.

If you have the desire to implement more empowering habits into your life, repetition is key. Adopting an attitude of gratitude is a great place to start. A grateful heart fosters a mindset of abundance which allows you to attract more of what you want into your life.

Are you ready to start a gratitude journal?

Make a conscious effect to appreciate and give thanks for each moment of your life. When you focus on the positive, you attract more joy, happiness, and love into your life. Albert Einstein said it best – “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

Make gratitude a daily practice. If you do, I promise that it will transform every area of your life.
