Your purpose isn't something you find.

Rather, it's something that you uncover and build through a process of self-discovery. In effect, your purpose is calling on you to step into your power. However, here's the catch… you cannot ‘think' your purpose into existence. Your “why” is something that can only be felt with your heart.

Once you commit to self-expansion and growth, you open the door to new opportunities. That is the space wherein which you will find the thing that makes you come alive inside. Let's talk about 3 things that can give you clarity about what you want in life.

1. Release the expectation that you have to have it all figured out.

The career path that you've chosen isn't the one that you have to follow for the rest of your life. You're not expected to have everything figured out. It's naive to assume that. Nobody has it all figured out! It's just not realistic.

When life changes, you have to adapt and change with it. Unfortunately, our society puts a lot of pressure on us from an early age to know exactly what our career path is going to be. As a result, a lot of people feel rushed and choose something random for the sake of choosing. Even worse, they choose someone else's path, at the expense of their goals and dreams.

If you've hit a point in your career where you are no longer passionate about what you're doing, that's OK. Instead of putting your head in the sand and thinking that there's no way out, remember that these are golden opportunities to pivot. Take the time to reevaluate your strengths, interests, and skills.

A lot of people have been forced to make a shift in the direction of their careers as a result of the COVID pandemic. While it may feel uncomfortable and create some level of fear, it can also be exciting. It's all a matter of perspective.

As you get older and your life changes, so too will your needs, values, and priorities. In your 20s and 30s, you may be more driven by success and money, whereas in your 40s and 50s you may value your time and freedom more. A shift in values will always lead you down a different path in life. Embrace the shift.

2. Ask yourself questions and journal about what's important to you in a career.

What are your core life values? What is important to you? Freedom is important to me. In particular, to do what I want when I want. Other people don't necessarily value freedom. For them, it may be financial security. Having a consistent paycheck that they can rely on every two weeks makes them feel grounded.

When I was in my early 20s, I didn't have the fear of taking risks. I was willing to do whatever it took to create financial freedom, be my own boss, and build my dream lifestyle. This is why being an entrepreneur was so attractive to me. Take out a journal and reflect on what you want in life.

Connect with your mission and vision. Write it out, feel into it, and recite it out loud. Once you know where you want to go, you can start devising a plan for getting there. Too often, many people doubt themselves because they don’t think they’re ready to begin moving in the direction of what they want to accomplish.

News flash… “ready” is a lie. You'll never be ready for anything. There will never be a perfect time to start, so the best thing you can do is dive in, feel the fear, and do it anyway.

3. Try different things.

When was the last time that you tried something new? You won't achieve big things by playing small. It's a fact. You'll never know what your true path in life is until you get your feet wet and gain experience. The more things that you try, the closer that you'll get to your purpose.

It's only through trial and error do you figure out what you like and don't like. Yes, the act of stepping outside of your comfort zone can be terrifying. A lot of people allow their fear of the unknown to stop them from trying anything.

Trying new things and embracing failure is the very thing that will help you eliminate your fears altogether. More importantly, it will allow you to expand your mind and become a student of life.

Keep in mind that nobody is asking you to be perfect, so be willing to suck. When you experience the buffet of life, you will naturally grow into your purpose. Don't rush it. Trust the process, take action, and whatever you do, don't quit.

Are you ready to find your purpose in life?

If you want to live a life of happiness, success, and fulfillment you must live a purpose-driven life. Choose a path, give it a chance, and then decide if it aligns with who you are and what you value.

In the words of Dr. Steve Maraboli, “You were put on this earth to achieve your greatest self, to live out your purpose, and to do it courageously.” The world is waiting for your gifts. It's time to stop holding back and start stepping into your power.

When you know how to profit from your passion, you're winning in life.

A lot of people have been sold the lie that you have to go to school, get a 9-to-5 job and make money to survive.

We are told that making money is more important than doing something that you're passionate about. This is far from true.

I have built a successful 7-figure business doing what I love. Imagine how it would feel to get paid for your hobby?

I'm going to show you how you can profit from your passion. Keep reading to discover how!

It is possible to turn your passion into profit.

However, society and our school system try to convince us otherwise. As a result, we end up living other people's lives and falling into careers that we hate. What do Walt Disney, Sam Walton, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, and Bill Gates have in common? Not one of them graduated from college when they “should have.” Success in life has zero correlation with your level of education. Let me give you an example to prove my point.

I didn't do well in school. I failed a lot of my classes. It's fair to say that I had zero motivation when it came to studying. The problem was that I never felt like I was learning valuable knowledge in the classroom. When I was 18 years old, I decided to work for my dad's construction business. My dad's goal was for me to take over the family business when he retired.

Even though it would have made him happy, it wouldn't have made me happy. I would have always felt like there was something missing in my life. I didn't want to live with a life of regret so I chose a different path from the one that my family wanted for me. That was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. Today, I have built a 7-figure online business doing what I love. I'm living my mission and I couldn't be happier.

Sometimes you've got to displease others and do what is best for you. Not everyone is going to understand your path in life, even the people who are closest to you. Everyone plays life cards differently, and your journey will never be the exact journey as someone else’s.

Pursue your dreams in spite of peoples' criticisms and judgments.

At the end of the day, it's your life, not theirs. I believe that when you're doing what you love, the money will follow. It won't feel like you've got to do work. Rather, it will feel like you get to do work. As Warren Buffett says, “You've got to tap dance to work every day.” This is why some of the most successful people never retire.

I believe that the Internet is the greatest opportunity of our lifetime. It has allowed anyone the ability to build a business and make money online. If entrepreneurship isn't for you, that's okay. However, if you want to be your own boss and create financial freedom, I encourage you to create an online business. Let's explore two key strategies for how to profit from your passion.

1. Become an expert in your industry

If you want to be an entrepreneur, you have to become an expert in your industry. It's about adopting what I call, the Mastery Mentality. The benefits of being an expert are far-reaching. Not only does it allow you to build your brand and make more money, but more importantly, you will be viewed as an authority figure.

This is what will set you apart from your competition. People buy from people whom they like and trust. Becoming great at anything requires that you go deep instead of just dabbling. Trust me when I say that, when you're passionate about something, going deep isn't hard.

2. Find opportunities that exist based on your passion

If you browse the Internet, you can type in a keyword for whatever your passion is. See what other people are doing in that industry. If there are websites and blogs online that are selling a product or service, you can be sure that that they are making money from it.

Don't reinvent the wheel. Instead, look at what is already working for people in your niche of interest and model their success. Make a list of 50 websites or YouTube channels that have an actual business and are profiting from their passion. Backward engineer it. What do they have in common with one another? This will help you determine the path that you should take based on your passion.

For example, let's say that you typed in “dogs” on Amazon.com. You will find that there are a lot of products associated with dogs. These are people who have built a brand around their passion and they are selling great products that they believe in. In some cases, they are making millions of dollars.

There is no reason why you can't create a profitable business doing the same thing.

You could sell a physical product on Amazon, write Kindle books, sell digital courses, do 1-on-1 coaching, and/or facilitate workshops for dog owners. A lot of people will pay more money for an in-person experience. When it comes to this niche, the most opportunity will revolve around solving the problems that currently exist.

The great thing about creating multiple streams of income is that once you've put in the hard work to set up these business models, you will start making money on autopilot.

Are you ready to profit from your passion and create a massive impact?

If you want to continue living in a comfort zone and doing what is easy and convenient, that's OK. However, if you're ready to live a purpose-driven life and do work that makes you come alive inside, I promise that there is no limit to the amount of money that you can make.

If you are ready to profit from your passion, I have a variety of free and paid resources that can help you jumpstart the process:

If you're struggling to find your passion, you've come to the right place.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have no idea what their passion is. As a result, they wander aimlessly through life, doing work that makes them feel uninspired.

According to a new Gallup study on the American workplace, of the country’s approximately 100 million full-time employees, 51 percent feel no real connection to their jobs.

In my opinion, this is a waste of life. You cannot experience fulfillment in life if you don't love what you're doing each day.

A life without passion is no life at all.

You cannot love your life if you don't love what you are doing every day. This is why you have to make sure that you are living your life with passion. A passion-driven life is one where you are living in alignment with what makes you come alive inside.

Passion is something that you associate a massive amount of pleasure to. If you are passionate about something you will be more likely to repeat it because it makes you feel good. However, you may not experience pleasure right away. The reason why a lot of people can't find their passion is that they try something once or twice, make a judgment based on their experience too quickly, and quit when something doesn't work. They decide that it's not their passion and move onto the next thing.

The truth is that, anytime that you try anything new, you will suck at the beginning. You have to drop your ego and be willing to go through a “suck” period.  Unfortunately, a lot of people allow their past experiences of failure to dictate their present-day choices. The past does not equal the future. Your values, beliefs, habits, and way of being are constantly changing.

Who you are today is not who you were yesterday.

If you've written off passions from your past, I encourage you to reconnect with these activities. Be willing to let go of your preconceived beliefs and allow yourself to be open to new experiences. Anytime I try something new I give it one month and a fair enough effort before coming to a conclusion about whether or not I like it. I encourage you to make it a goal of trying something new every month.

If you want to find your passion, you have to explore the buffet of life. You've got to be willing to try a lot of different things and break free from your current way of being and living. Happiness research shows that trying new things increases dopamine levels in the brain, contributing to sustained levels of contentment.  Approach finding your passion as an adventure.

Take notice of how you feel when you engage in an activity. If you stay in your comfort zone and do things you've always done, you won't grow. In fact, you'll start getting really bored with life. Don't live a limited life based on stories and meanings from your past. Be willing to take risks and actively open yourself to new activities and opportunities.

This is how to find your passion in life.

In my next blog post, I will be talking about how you can turn your passion into profit and make massive impact in the world. It will support and build upon the knowledge that I have taught inside this blog post. Yes, it is possible to make money from doing something that you love to do and I'm going to show you how. Stay tuned for that!

You deserve to live a passion-filled life. Don't stop until you find something that makes you come alive inside and then do everything in your power to master that one thing. Are you ready to find your passion?

Core values inform your thoughts, words, and actions. They determine what you believe and stand for.

Despite their importance, many people choose to ignore their values. Instead, they adopt the values of others in an attempt to be accepted.

One of the most common regrets that people have at the end of their lives is that they did not have the courage to live their truth. When you live in alignment with your values, you embody your true self.

Are you ready to learn 5 reasons why you need core values in order to live a purpose-driven and meaningful life?

Watch the video below, where I talk about the change that I made in my life that led me to become a millionaire:

Core values are the traits or qualities that represent an individual's deeply held beliefs and core driving forces. Everyone has different values that make them who they are, whether that's spirituality, adventure, contribution, health or love.

Values drive your everyday actions and determine whom you end up becoming. When you have well-defined values, and you behave in alignment with them, everything feels good. More importantly, you show others that you are a person of integrity. You become someone that other people look up to.

Being honest with others starts with being honest with yourself. If you want to live a life of integrity, you need to commit to living in accordance with your highest values. But wait…

Do you know what your personal core values are?

If you don't, that is OK. The beautiful thing about life is that we always have the opportunity to start anew and rediscover who we are. The first step to determining what your core values are is to acknowledge and take responsibility for the life that you have created thus far.

Ultimately, it is the decisions that you have made that have led to where you are today. If you are unhappy with certain parts of your life, then it is highly likely that you have lost sight of what is important to you. We all need to be reminded from time to time.

Almost all of us have had the experience where we have done something that went against our core values. It probably didn't feel very good. Am I right?

When you violate your values, it creates tension inside of your body which can result in destructive habits. If your values are not supporting you in the direction of where you want to go, there will always be resistance. It is going to require a lot of willpower, effort, and energy in order to push yourself forward. Instead, why not shift what it is that you value so that you can be pulled towards your best life?

Living your truth is critical to living a life that you love. Research shows that living life according to one’s values and internal motives prevent burnout, keeps setbacks in perspective, and buffers against stress during periods of transition and change.

The more that you understand who you are at your core, the more self-aware you will become.

Without engaging in a self-discovery process, it will be difficult for you to identify what your core values in life are. You may have some ideas about what your values should be. However, accepting what you value is a process that requires you to go inward and do some serious soul-searching.

What are the core values that you live by?

I encourage you to create a core values list. When you write your values down on paper, they come to life. Sit back and analyze what the top 5 values and beliefs are that you hold dear to your heart. Next, identify the times in your life when you were the happiest engaging in activities that satisfied those values. Once you have done this, ask yourself, “Why was each experience meaningful to me?”

Stanford professor Kelly McGonigal says that “It turns out that writing about your values is one of the most effective psychological interventions ever studied. In the short term, writing about personal values makes people feel more powerful, in control, proud, and strong… it increases pain tolerance, enhances self-control, and reduces unhelpful rumination after a stressful experience.”

Let's explore 5 reasons why you need core values in order to live a purpose-driven and meaningful life.

1. They Help You Clear Up What Is Important

If you don't understand what your values are, you will never know what is important to you. You cannot expect to live a meaningful life if you are living someone else's dream. A lot of people get stuck in careers that they hate because they never took the time to explore how they wanted their future to look.

For example, if you are someone that values freedom and travel, a 9-5 job may not be the best path for you. You may be happier following the entrepreneurial route, where you are free to live the laptop lifestyle, be your own boss, and travel the world.

For many years, I lived my life in accordance with other peoples' values and viewpoints. I wanted to make my parents happy. Unfortunately, there were consequences to that desire. It meant that my own values were ignored.

Secretly, I knew that my dreams and the vision that I had for my life were in direct opposition to what they wanted for me. Eventually, I hit my breaking point. I realized that, in order to be happy, I needed to get clear on what was important to me.

I began the process of exploring what made me come alive inside. When I found it, I finally began creating a life that was aligned with my core values.

2. They Help You Make Decisions

Values and decision-making are closely related and drive one another. A decision can go one of two ways – towards a life of meaning or one of suffering. When you know who you are and what is important to you, making decisions are easy to do.

Everything that happens in your life starts with a decision, either big or small. Where people get stuck is that they become so scared that they are going to make the wrong decision. As a result, they end up not making no decision at all. They become paralyzed by fear and fall into a never-ending cycle of procrastination and indecision.

If you struggle with the decision-making process, always ask yourself, “Am I making this decision based on my values?” If the answer is no, drop it and move on.

One of the biggest benefits to making value-based decisions is that your productivity will heighten and you will gain more confidence to strive for bigger goals. Always make decisions that align with your values. When you do, you will be the driver of your life.

3. They Keep You Motivated

Without motivation, everything feels difficult. By definition, motivation is the driving force that inspires you to take action to achieve your goals in life. When your values are aligned with your purpose, everything flows more freely.

Motivation provides the fuel that you need to keep going when you feel like giving up. A 2016 research study found that the values that we all come to realize in life are drawn from our own motivations. As a result, people are able to attain a greater level of meaning in their lives, so long as they remain motivated.

As Daniel Pink once said,  “For artists, scientists, inventors, schoolchildren, and the rest of us, intrinsic motivation—the drive do something because it is interesting, challenging, and absorbing—is essential for high levels of creativity.” Self-motivation is the key to success.

A lot of people can stay motivated over a short period of time. However, it takes a massive amount of commitment and discipline to stay motivated over the long-term. That is where your values come into play.

4. They Help You Find Your Purpose

Knowing what your values are help you better identify your purpose. If you don't have a plan for where your life is going to go, then you will be a part of someone else's plan.

Finding your purpose is the careful process of matching your core values with what makes you come alive inside. When you start to live on purpose, your world opens up. Sometimes you've got to hit your version of rock bottom before you can finally find your true calling in life.

Tune into your inner voice and reflect upon the experiences that have brought you to where you are today. How have they shaped you? What did you learn about yourself in the process?

In their book, Life Reimagined: Discovering Your New Life Possibilities, Richard Leider & Alan Webber say “reflection helps you say no to the less important things that simply clutter up a life and yes to the more important things that define the purpose in life.”

Take your core values list that you create and use it to craft your life purpose statement. Read that statement out loud to yourself every single day so that it becomes a part of who you are. Visualize and imagine that it already exists. Never forget that you can modify it over time as your values change.

If you ever lose sight of your values, your purpose statement will propel you forward. It will give you the momentum that you need in order to keep moving forward.

5. They Support Healthy Relationships

When you first meet someone it can be easy for lust to take over. Don't get me wrong, chemistry is important. However, if you want your relationship to last, you need to determine the values that you and your partner live by.

Healthy relationships are those where each partner's values align with one another. When you care about the same things, you grow together in the same direction. From the beginning, my fiancée Tatiana and I made sure that our values were in alignment. We took the time to create a vision for our relationship.

Being in a relationship with someone whom you have mismatched values with is a recipe for disaster. I've been there in the past, and I promised myself that I would never do it again. One or both partners usually find themselves playing down what is important to them in order to satisfy the other. This can manifest as resentment, anger, or regret. As you can imagine, this doesn't end well.

Make a list of the values that you want in a life partner. Be specific and clear about what you want and what you are not willing to accept. In the words of Ayn Rand, “Love is our response to our highest values — and can be nothing else.”

Make it a priority to determine your life values.

Doing so will help ensure that you are constantly moving forward in life. It's also extremely important that you check-in with your values on a weekly and monthly basis. Life changes, which means that you may change as well. If you veer off track, let your values guide you back on course.

When you live in alignment with your core values you experience greater fulfillment in life. In the words of John C. Maxwell, “Your core values are the deeply held beliefs that authentically describe your soul.” Are you ready to live the life that you want to live?

The secret to true success and happiness if to find your life purpose now.  If you are still trying to find out what your life purpose is, that’s OK. Keep looking, and don’t stop until you find it.  The question is, “How do you find it?”

Part of the problem is the concept of ‘life purpose'. The lofty idea that we were each born for some higher purpose can be overwhelming for many people. Purpose is about finding your authentic self, and setting the intention to live in a way that honors whatever it is you find.  It’s called your ‘why’. When you come alive from within, that is when you know that you are living from a place of authenticity.

The father of Positive Psychology, Martin Seligman expressed that, “The meaningful life is about finding a deeper sense of fulfillment by using your strengths in the service of something larger than yourself and nourishing others.”  Find your purpose now.  The world is waiting.

At 17 years of age I was lucky to find my purpose and calling in life, which was to grow and to give. I have devoted my career to inspiring others to live extraordinary lives and fulfill their potential as a human beings.  Finding your purpose is about listening to an inner calling.  In Let Your Life Speak: Listening To The Voice of Vocation, Parker Palmer says that we should let our life speak to us, not tell our life what we're going to do with it.  Unfortunately, a lot of people look for a career before they listen for their life purpose.

I want to share with you three actionable steps that you can take in order to find your life purpose now:

Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

The desire to play it safe is comforting, but this isn't where real growth occurs. Comfort is the enemy.  At first, growth can be a place of discomfort, but eventually it turns into a place of possibility.  The reality is that you only find your true purpose in life when you take a leap of faith and escape from your comfort zone.

This is where we learn, expand, grow, and reach our full potential.  Karen Salmansohn said it best, “The best things in life are often waiting for you at the exit ramp of your comfort zone.”  This is where the real magic happens. Find your purpose now.

Drop From Your Head to Your Heart

Your heart is one of the best tools at your disposal to access your purpose in life.  One of the main reasons why so many people never find their purpose is that they over-think it.  Your head makes everything messy.  Drop into your heart and ask yourself, “What most excites me in life?”

When you live from your heart, you are guided in a way that serves your highest self, and in turn, your mind will follow. Alignment is the key to finding your life purpose.  Rumi said it best, “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love.”  The result? Ultimate freedom and abundance.

The reality is that nobody achieves success by themselves, which is why it is so important to surround yourself with like-minded people who inspire and support you along your journey.  One person or word of advice could forever alter the direction that your life takes, but you have to ask for help and be resourceful.

Join a mastermind group, hire a life coach, or find a mentor that can motivate you to find your ‘why.'  Life is full of teachers who are there to support you in the realization of your purpose, BUT it is up to you recognize them when you appear. In the words of Shawn Hitchcock, “A mentor empowers a person to see a possible future, and believe it can be obtained.”

Don't strive for a job or a career. Think bigger. Strive for a life of purpose. In the words Mark Twain, “The two most important days of your life is the day you were born and the day you find out why.” I challenge you to rise up and find your life purpose now!
