Big goals mean big rewards.

However, if you don’t know how to set goals, those rewards may never come to fruition. I want you to take a moment and think about a big goal that you want to achieve. Maybe that's achieving financial freedom, finding a life partner, buying a house, or paying off your school debt.

While all goals aim to bring about a positive outcome, you must understand that not all goals are the same. There are two types of goals – results-oriented goals and process-oriented goals.

Results-oriented goals are focused on a specific result, like losing 30 pounds. Results are great because they provide proof as to whether or not you're going in the right direction.

However, if you focus solely on results you can set yourself up for failure. Think about it… if you're not getting the results you desire, it's easy to start feeling defeated. This is why people end up giving up on their goals altogether.

You also need to know the specific steps to take in order to achieve the results that you desire. These are known as process-oriented goals. I hate to break it to you, but you don't have full control over results. You only have influence at best. What leads to the results is the process.

The question is, which are better? Well, I believe that you need both. At the end of the day, the key to lasting success is through consistent and focused effort.

The Power of Sharing Your Goals

When it comes to achieving your goals, if you're only accountable to yourself, it's easy to not follow through. There are no consequences. This is why I publically shared my goals every year for six years. In doing so, I was motivated to accomplish every goal that I set for myself.

If I didn't follow through, I knew that I would lose respect and credibility. Research shows that having an accountability partner with whom you share your goals increases your chances of success by more than 85 percent.

When someone is holding you accountable for your actions, you are less likely to back out because you don't want to disappoint them. Share your big goals with a friend, join a Mastermind group, or hire a coach. Anything that will allow you to stay on track is key.

Change Is A Matter of Motivation

There is no limit to what you are capable of achieving. If you want to change your life, you can do it. Nobody is stopping you. The question is… how motivated are you to change? As Tony Robbins says, Change is never a matter of ability, it’s always a matter of motivation.

Lasting change begins and ends with a commitment to change your attitude and raise your standards. The changes that you want to make in your life can no longer be “shoulds.” Rather, they need to become “musts.”

Make 2021 the year that you achieve your biggest goals!

In a world where we are conditioned to stay safe and avoid risk, setting big goals is a power move. Anything is possible. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Stay focused and devote yourself tirelessly to the achievement of your goals.

If you need to slow down, that's OK, but whatever you do, don't give up.

Do you want the most cutting-edge strategies for achieving your goals faster and mastering every area of your life? CLICK HERE to join my Life Mastery Accelerator program!

Setting goals helps you to achieve your ultimate vision.

Goals give you a sense of direction. When you know where you're going, it's a lot easier to stay on course. Without goals, it's easy to dabble and jump from one thing to another, without ever accomplishing anything. Research tells us that 92% of goal-setters don't actually reach the goals they set. Naturally, this creates a lot of pain and suffering for people.

This is why setting goals effectively is critical to your success in life. However, before you can set goals, you need to have a vision for your life. Take a step back, look at the bigger picture, and ask yourself, “What am I moving towards?” Start with the end in mind.

Goals are merely actions that you need to achieve in order to bring you one step closer to your ultimate vision. If you want to achieve success in life, it's critical that your vision and goals align with one another. If there is misalignment, your motivation will dwindle. In this state, reaching your goals will be unattainable.

This is why I encourage you to set goals in a SMART way. SMART goals are goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. Let's break down this goal-setting strategy for success.

S – Specific

You want your goals to be specific. It is pointless to set a vague goal. If you say to yourself, “I want to be skinny” you're not setting a goal. Rather, you're just stating an unfulfilled desire. Get more specific. How much weight do you want to lose? Once you have a starting point in mind, it will be easier to review your progress along the way.

M – Measurable

Once you have a specific goal in mind, now you want to determine how long it will take you to achieve that goal. When you create a deadline for yourself, you have a plan in place for when you need to achieve it. By measuring your goal it will ensure that you stay motivated to follow through. More importantly, you'll have a better understanding of when you're close to reaching your goal.

Going back to our example above, how many times per week will you need to work out in order to lose X amount of weight?

A – Achievable

Your goal must be attainable, meaning possible to achieve. You want to challenge yourself and stretch your capabilities. However, if you don't believe you'll be able to follow through, you'll quit before you're ahead.

If your goal is to lose X amount of weight, how will you accomplish this goal?

R – Realistic

Where a lot of people get into trouble is that they set goals that are highly unrealistic, meaning that it's unlikely that they will be achieved in a timely manner. Not surprisingly, it's hard to stay motivated if there is no end in sight. There is no point in setting a goal if it isn't achievable.

You need to determine if your goal can be realistically achieved, based on the resources you have at your disposal and the time you have to achieve it.

Are you willing and fully able to commit to losing X amount of weight? If you have a crazy work schedule, maybe it's not realistic for you to go to the gym 7 days a week. If this is the case, you may want to set a more realistic goal.

T – Timely

Every goal needs a timeline for completion. If you don't put one in place, you will only end up procrastinating. It's okay if you end up modifying your schedule along the way, but get clear on your time frame. What is your target date for achieving your goal? If you don't set a date, someday will never come.

SMART goals provide you with the structure that you need to achieve your goals. The reason why I achieve all of the goals that I set for myself is that I follow the above strategy. With every goal that you set for yourself, you need to determine what your level of desire and belief is.

You want your level of desire and belief to be a 7 or above. That is your sweet spot.

Anything below that isn't strong enough. You set yourself up to win when your desire and your belief are aligned with your goals.  When you set goals, it's natural to focus on the outcome. However, the true reward of goal achievement is who you become along the way.

The process of achieving a goal is what ends up changing your life.

Going back to our SMART goal example above, the reward for losing weight isn't just about how your body will change physically. The act of losing weight isn't an event. Rather, it's a process of becoming the person who you truly want to be – healthy, fit, and confident.

More importantly, it's about the journey you will have to go through to build willpower, discipline, and lasting results. In the words of Henry David Thoreau — “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”

Personal growth will always trump the outcome if you're willing to fall in love with the process of becoming the best version of yourself. Focusing on the process is what will allow you to enjoy the results even more.

Are you ready to start setting your goals the SMART way?

The people who achieve their goals in life are the ones who are willing to do anything and everything to achieve them. If you feel yourself being pushed towards your goals, they aren't the right goals for you.

When you want a goal bad enough, you will be pulled towards your dreams and inspired to design a vision for your life that makes you come alive inside. Ultimately, having a burning desire and belief in your goals will prove to be the fuel that drives you forward, despite the obstacles you will face along the way.

Are you ready to discover a system for how to create lasting motivation and consistency towards your goals? CLICK HERE to join my Life Mastery Accelerator program!

How much progress have you made on your goals this year?

Now is the time to get real with yourself. You can't move forward in life until you get clear as to why you are falling short in the first place. The truth will set you free. If you're sitting there thinking, “Omg, I've come up short yet again”, you're not alone.

Science says that 92% of people don't achieve their goals. My intention in writing this article isn't to make you feel bad or feel like a failure. Rather, I want to shed light on the 8% of high achievers who do follow through so that you have a model to look up to. This is where I come in.

My story is proof that whatever the mind can believe and conceive, it can achieve. At 17 years of age, I made a commitment to myself that I was no longer going to settle for a mediocre life. I was tired of being a dabbler because it was getting me nowhere. The consequence of not changing was so dire that I was willing to do anything to create a new life. I took out a journal and I started getting clarity about what I wanted.

When you have a long-term vision, life becomes exciting. When you think about it, goals are created from visions. A vision is an active and on-going dream that you are striving to achieve. A lot of people think I'm so successful because I'm super motivated and driven. This isn't necessarily the case.

I simply learned how to become a master at setting and achieving goals. I want to help you do the same. This is why I've put together this goal-setting workshop so that you have a step-by-step guide for how to set and achieve goals in each aspect of your life. Let's dive in!

Have Results-Oriented and Process-Oriented Goals

There are two types of goals that exist. These are results-oriented and process-oriented goals. You need both. Below I break each of them down and describe why they are important.

Results-Oriented Goals

It's critical that you have a result in mind when you are setting goals. An example of a result is losing 30 pounds. You want to have results that are specific and measurable. At the end of the day, achieving a result is what you want. That being said, you will get yourself into trouble if you solely focus on the result.

The problem with results is that you never have full control over them. At best, you only have influence. What leads to a result is the process. If you've ever set a goal, you know that there is a process of achieving it. A lot of people fail to pay attention to this piece of the puzzle. When they don't achieve a result, they get discouraged and give up on their goals altogether.

Process-Oriented Goals

The process is the roadmap that helps you get to where you want to go. With process oriented-goals, the focus is on the journey towards achieving the result. Goal setting is all about creating a plan of action or a set of behaviors that will help you achieve the goal you desire. You can't expect to reach your final destination if you don't have a plan in place to get there.

Going back to my original example, the process for losing 30 pounds may involve going to the gym 3 days per week. That is what you have control over. Engaging in that behavior will lead to the result of losing weight. If for any reason you don't achieve the result, at least you can celebrate the lessons you learned and the person who you became along the way. The process can change your life.

Step 2: Set Goals For Each Area of Your Life

If you want to live an extraordinary life, I believe that you must master 10 core areas. I call this The Life Mastery Blueprint. These areas of life include Health & Fitness, Mind & Emotions, Relationship, Mission & Purpose, Money, Family & Friends, Fun, Contribution, and Spirituality.

You want to set goals for each area of your life. I encourage you to take out a journal and make notes. When you do this self-reflection exercise, think about what your ultimate vision is for each of the areas. Keep in mind that there is not a right or wrong answer when it comes to setting goals. Reflect upon what matters to you and your life. Let's dive in!

Health & Fitness

Your physical body is the only place that you have to live. If you aren't physically healthy, everything else in your life will suffer. This is why it's so important that you make health your top priority. The key to living a healthy life is knowing what makes you feel good and what gives you the most energy. Think about some of the goals that you have for your health, whether it's a juice cleanse, a metal toxicity detox, or going on a 30-day diet.

Mind & Emotions

Your mental and emotional well-being is the source of your happiness and joy. If you want to master your mind, you have to be constantly feeding it with positivity. Maybe this means setting the goal of reading one book every month, which would mean reading 10 pages of a book every day.

Reading and absorbing this much knowledge has the power to make a drastic impact on the quality of your life. To nurture your emotional self, setting the goal of practicing gratitude every day is a great way to focus on the good. Similarly, reciting affirmations helps to condition your mind with empowering thoughts.

If you have deep-seated trauma that you haven't yet dealt with, working one-on-one with a therapist is a great way to get the help you need to heal. Asking for help is a sign of strength and bravery.

Relationship

We are social creatures. This is why connecting with others is incredibly important. If you're single, maybe set a goal to attract a man or woman into your life. Get clarity on the values and qualities that you desire in a partner. What are your non-negotiables in a relationship?

Maybe your goal is improving your self-confidence so that you are better able to approach and connect with people. When you do the work to improve your personality, not only will you meet more people but you will also create more opportunities.

If you're in a relationship, the goal may be planning romantic date nights with your partner, making love more often, or practicing gratitude for one another. My fiancée and I write on post-it notes one magic moment that we have shared. We put these notes in a jar and over time, we revisit the jar and reflect upon what we wrote. Eye gazing is another beautiful ritual that you can practice with your partner. This is a great way to connect with your love on a deeper level.

Mission & Purpose

Without a life purpose, your goals will never feel fulfilling. The goal of life should be to live a purpose-driven life. Your purpose gets you out of bed in the morning and excited to start the day. Doing work that you love makes you feel alive inside. If you work for someone else, you could set the goal of developing a new skill set that would complement your current role or increase the possibility of you getting a raise. If you have a business, the goal could be launching a new product or improving a certain aspect of your business.

Money

When it comes to your financial goals, think about it in two ways – how much money you want to make and how much you want to save per month. If you have debt that you want to get rid of, the goal may be creating a budget where you write down and track where your monthly expenses are going. If you spend more than you make per month, consider that to be debt. This will mean that you have to start living below your means.

If the goal is to make more money, you could start investing. There is no better way to plan for your future.

Fun, Family & Friends

When was the last time that you gave yourself permission to play? As adults, we get so wrapped up in the stresses of life that we forget how important it is to have fun! Maybe this means taking up a new hobby or activity that brings you joy.

Making an effort to nurture your creative side will make you feel more energized and increase your overall level of well-being. If you have been neglecting spending time with your friends, maybe plan a nice trip or a weekend adventure with them. If you haven't spent enough time with your family lately, make it a priority to connect with them, whether it's in-person or on a group phone call.

Spirituality

Spirituality is anything that is not material or physical in form. Rather, it's metaphysical. This could mean connecting with God every day through prayer, attending church, going to a yoga class, or reading spiritual text.

Whatever you do, cultivate a daily practice to raise your consciousness. Being a part of a spiritual community is a powerful way to connect with like-minded people who share your spiritual values.

Contribution

Every year I travel to third-world countries and build schools and houses for families in need. It's so rewarding to give back to others. I encourage you to create the habit of being a giver. As an example, you could set the goal to engage in one random act of kindness every week. You could give money to a homeless person or compliment a stranger on social media.

Every small act of contribution impacts the lives of others. By being a force for good, you will help make the world a better place.

Set SMART Goals

Oftentimes people set goals that are too general. As a result, they never accomplish them. Setting SMART goals is the name of the game. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. A SMART goal increases the chances of you achieving a goal. After you've set smart goals, make sure that you recite your goals in a way that sounds compelling. As an example, “I will easily make $100,000 per year by September 1st, 2021.”

Specific – Your goal should be specific. If not, you won't feel motivated to achieve it. What do you want to accomplish? Get clarity on it. For example, how much weight do you want to lose in 30 days?

Measurable – You need to determine what your indicator will be if you make progress towards accomplishing your goal. For example, “I will lose 10 pounds within two weeks.” If you don't have a way of measuring your success, you won't know when to celebrate yourself when you achieve your milestones.

Attainable – If your goal doesn't seem possible, it will feel like a struggle to achieve it. When I first started my business, my goal was to make $1. I knew that I could achieve this. It wasn't about the amount of money I made. Rather, it was the symbolism behind it. Once I made $1, I set the goal of making $100 per month, $1,000 per month, and so on.

Realistic – Do you believe that you can achieve your goal? You need to determine if your goal can be realistically achieved, based on your level of commitment, the time it will take to achieve it, and the resources that you have.

Timeline – Your goal must have a deadline. If you don't have a deadline, you won't take action. For example, “I will start going to the gym today, and I will continue going for 4 days a week. Within a month, I will lose 30 pounds.”

Identify Your Most Important Goals

I have a lot of goals. Sometimes too many. Everyone has a different capacity. Don't overwhelm yourself.  Maybe just set 1-2 goals in each area of your life. Focus and prioritize those. Those are the ones that will make the biggest impact.

Determine Your ‘WHY'

You need a reason WHY you want to achieve your goals. This will be the fuel for your fire. The more reasons that you have, the more motivated that you'll be.

What benefits will you receive from achieving these goals? You always want to link pleasure to the process of achieving your goals. What is the consequence of not achieving these goals? For example, if you don't change your body, it may mean that you will gain weight, have a lower quality of life, or be exhausted all the time.

Create An Action Plan

What are the actions that you need to take to achieve your goals? Similarly, what resources do you have that can make this goal possible? Are there books, courses, training programs, or a proven method that you can invest in? When designing my plan of action, I like to create a could-do list.

Reflect upon all of the things that you could do to achieve your goals. Your brain comes up with more options when you think in this way. Once you have your list, look at your key actions, and formulate your plan of attack. As an example, what is the most important thing that you can do on your list that will help you lose weight?

I hope my goal setting workshop has inspired you to take action.

If you apply what I've taught inside this article, you will see results. Set goals that you want to achieve and commit to the process. If you do, your life will transform.

Goal setting is a necessary process for designing your future. You have the power to turn your vision into reality. However, if you sit on the sidelines and wait for life to give you what you want, you're going to be waiting for a long time.

I have created a new and improved version of K Money Mastery which is called, Mastering Book Publishing!

Welcome to my FINAL Goals Report!

Every month since 2012, I write a detailed report about my progress toward the goals and resolutions I publicly stated on my blog earlier in the year. I previously called this my Monthly Goals Report, but for 2019 I decided to try doing a Quarterly Goals Report instead.

Since I started sharing my goals and progress in 2012, I have received such an amazing response from people all over the world. You’ve shared with me how I helped to inspire you by openly sharing my progress. And knowing you’re reading this helps me hold myself accountable to the promises I’ve made to myself.

This is my final Goals Report for 2019. It’s my hope that you can take away something to inspire you in the pursuit of your own goals.

MY 2019 GOALS BREAKDOWN

I’m now going to go into each goal that I committed to for 2019 in detail and share exactly where I’m at with each. For complete context, check out the original 2019 goals and resolution video blog, and my previous Goal Reports.

Every quarter, I may add or modify some goals as well – I've learned that flexibility is important throughout the year, as there's always new opportunities or adjustments you have to make.

Before I dive into the 2019 goals I originally set, I want to first share with you some NEW GOALS that I achieved that weren't even on the original list.

HEALTH & FITNESS GOALS:

1. I will easily eat clean at least 6 days per week to create optimal health, energy, vitality, and physical fitness by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Eating clean 6 days per week

RESULT: Eating clean 4-5 days per week

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

This goal was not achieved in 2019. Theres a few things that I could do better in the future relating to a goal like this.

First, I should've better defined what eating “clean” is. I also should've set a more realistic goal with all of the traveling that I had planned during 2019, as it was too difficult for me to stick to. And I also should've done a better job at measuring this goal on a weekly basis, which I did not do. However, I'm proud of myself for still eating clean roughly 4-5 days per week.

Want to know what I typically eat in a day for unstoppable energy? Read this article and watch this video to find out (this is when I'm not on the ketogenic diet).

2. I will easily detox for at least 7 days to support my body in optimal health and vitality by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Detox 7 days by the end of 2019

RESULT: 4 months detox

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I kickstarted 2019 with a gut-healing detox program that my naturopath put me on, which has lasted 4 months so far!

We did several health tests to identify anything in my body that I could improve or optimize. The tests included:

From these tests, we identified a few things for me to pin-point in healing with modifying my diet and supplements. The biggest ones we've been tackling have been systemic candida and leaky gut syndrome. Unfortunately it can take months, even years, to heal leaky gut syndrome, which is why I've been on this detox for so many months.

I've been on a pretty advanced supplement protocol and have been doing coffee enemas almost daily to help accelerate the healing process.

While I was originally planning only a 7 day detox, I'm glad that I've taken more of a customized approach for my body rather than doing a generic detox that I've done in years past.

3. I will easily do yoga at least twice per month to improve my overall flexibility and physical recovery by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Do yoga twice per month

RESULT: Twice per month

PROGRESS:Achieved!

While I didn't track this goal as well as I should've in 2019, I'm still going to give myself credit for achieving it. There were some weeks where I do yoga several times, other weeks I did not – but overall, I did A LOT of yoga and deep stretching in 2019 which I'll give myself credit for.

4. I will easily get to at least 10% body fat and have my abs showing and celebrate by doing a fitness photoshoot by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 10% body fat by the end of 2019

RESULT: 10% body fat

PROGRESS: Achieved!

In the first quarter of 2019, I've been incredibly focused on my health and fitness. Through the detox I've been on, my body fat has reduced to around the 10% range. I'm not able to measure this as accurately as I'd like (I don't have access to a DEXA scan in Panama), however, I know from past experience that around 10% body fat means your abs are really starting to pop!

Currently I'm in great overall shape, fairly lean and athletic, which is exactly where I like to be!

FINANCIAL GOALS:

5. I will easily save or invest at least $1,500,000 USD by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $1,500,000 USD

RESULT: $2,120,243 USD

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I over-achieved on this goal in 2019, saving and investing a lot more than what I originally planned, which I'm proud of.

In Q3, I over-achieved on this goal by being able to save and invest an additional $1,449,780 USD – bringing the total amount so far for 2019 at $2,120,243 USD. Every month, I've been continuing to invest in stocks (especially dividend paying ones), but have also been holding a lot of fixed income investments. I'm holding a lot of fixed income investments, as well as government bonds and cash, as I'm anticipating a market crash that I want to prepare for. I still want to get SOME return for my money, but don't want to have everything tied up in investments that can plummet if there's a crash. So right now I've been trying to buy some recession-proof investments and make sure I have flexibility to invest if there's a market crash.

I've shared my $3.5M Stock Investment Portfolio in the past, so you can exactly what I own and invest in. I also shared my stock portfolio when it first reached $1,000,000 a few years ago, so you can see my investing progress since. I own everything from bank stocks, to ETFs, REITs, bonds, similar instruments on the Toronto Stock Exchange. In 2019 I've been more focused on buying in the US markets.

MISSION & BUSINESS GOALS:

6. I will easily participate in sharing the Amazing Selling Machine and my ASM Fast Track Bonuses to help support people in building their own Amazon business by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 launch

RESULT: 1 launch

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I achieved this goal in October, when the new Amazing Selling Machine 11 (ASM11) was released. It continues to be the best Amazon FBA training that I've come across and I'm proud to be partners with this great program, recommending it to anyone that wants to get started selling on Amazon. I was also thrilled to provide people with incredible bonuses when they sign up for ASM11 through me, to further help people build their business faster than easier than doing so on their own.

7. I will easily host at least 2 Online Business Mastery Mastermind events to be able to intimately help people build their online businesses by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 2 masterminds

RESULT: 2 masterminds

8. I will easily re-design StefanJames.com by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Redesign StefanJames.com

RESULT: Site improvements made

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

While I made some updates to StefanJames.com in 2019, I did not re-design the website as I had originally planned. With a few other more important goals arising in 2019, I decided to put this goal on pause until I have more time to focus on it.

9. I will easily create and launch Mastering Book Publishing to help publishers make money online by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Create a rebranded book publishing course

RESULT: In process

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

While I didn't achieve this goal in 2019, I've made a lot of significant progress with it and I'm happy to say that it's almost complete! I instead decided to create two new publishing courses: Mastering Book Publishing and Mastering Book Marketing. Right now we're planning on releasing them near the end of March 2020.

I've been a bit of a perfectionist with this goal, wanting to make sure the course and members area is as great as it can be. While I could've rushed this and released the course in 2019, I didn't feel comfortable doing so if it wasn't at the standard I set for myself.

10. I will easily improve Affiliate Marketing Mastery to help members get results while continuing to optimize my webinars and funnels for Affiliate Marketing Mastery by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Improve Affiliate Marketing Mastery

RESULT: Improving community

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

While I did make a lot of great new improvements to Affiliate Marketing Mastery, it still wasn't at the standard that I wanted to. In 2019, we improved the Facebook group community, added new lessons and updated older lessons, which further helps our members build their online business. In 2020, I have plans to make more improvements.

11. I will easily create and launch a new Amazon product and transparently share the process by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 product

RESULT: 0 products

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

This was a goal I decided to no longer pursue in 2019, as I instead dedicated my time and attention towards new goals that came up which were more important.

12. I will easily publish at least 2 new books on Amazon by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 2 books

RESULT: 1 book published

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

In Q1, I published a new book titled 67 Morning Ritual Habits For Your Body, Mind And Spirit which is now available on Amazon as a Kindle book, Paperback book and Audiobook. The launch of this book has been helping me with the last round of Amazon experiments I've been conducting for my new publishing course.

Unfortunately, I didn't achieve this goal as I didn't released a 2nd book, as I instead decided to focus my time and attention towards other goals that were more important.

13. I will easily improve Morning Ritual Mastery to help members get results while continuing to optimize my funnels by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Improve Morning Ritual Mastery

RESULT: Haven't started

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

I did not achieve this goal and instead focused on other goals that were more important.

14. I will easily hire a new social media marketer to help me grow my social media by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 new social media marketer

RESULT: 1 new social media marketer

PROGRESS: Achieved!

This has been a goal that I've been focused on lately, as it's an important role within Project Life Mastery. I actually first hired a graphics designer to help with social media content, who was also supposed to be our Social Media Marketer. Unfortunately they weren't able to handle the load of doing both, so we've kept that person working for us full-time as a graphics designer, and then recently hired a new person that's focused on Social Media Marketing and Community Management. Technically, this goal has been achieved – however, we may move team members around a bit in the future as we're currently seeing how everyone is performing.

15. I will easily hire an assistant to help support my lifestyle and business by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 new assistant

RESULT: 1 new assistant

PROGRESS: Achieved!

In Q1, I offered my existing assistant, Darina, a full-time position with Project Life Mastery and she's now working for me full-time. I've been working with her for several years now, but only in a part-time role, as she was working with other clients. I offered her a full-time position, which I'm happy that she accepted, as she's been a blessing to my life and business thus far.

16. I will easily hire an operations/project manager to help manage Project Life Mastery by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 new project manager

RESULT: 0 new project manager

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

I decided to no longer pursue this goal and instead focus on other goals that were more important.

17. I will easily publish at least 150 videos on the Project Life Mastery YouTube channel by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 150 videos (37.5 per quarter)

RESULT: 171

PROGRESS: Achieved!

In 2019, I published 171 videos on the Project Life Mastery YouTube channel and podcast. I've been consistently publishing 3 videos per week, sometimes more. I've also been focused more on improving our video editing and my content production process, so that I can be more “strategic” about the videos that I'm releasing, so I can add as much value as possible.

18. I will easily publish at least 200 articles on the Project Life Mastery website by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 200 (50 per quarter)

RESULT: 152

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

I didn't publish as many blog posts as I'd like on Project Life Mastery in 2019, coming up short by 48. However, I'm still proud that my team and myself was able to publish 152 blog posts to further build the blog and serve our audience.

19. I will easily host at least 12 Life Mastery Accelerator monthly mentoring sessions by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 (3 per quarter)

RESULT: 12

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I achieved this goal in 2019, hosting 12 Life Mastery Accelerator sessions to serve our members in helping them improve all areas of life.

Life Mastery Accelerator now includes 36 incredible video trainings and more than 68 hours of content. This is the only training program where I go DEEP into my best self-development strategies for each area of the Life Mastery Blueprint: health, mindset, emotions, relationships, money, career, lifestyle, spirituality, etc.

20. I will easily host at least 12 Online Business Mastery Accelerator monthly mentoring sessions by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 (3 per quarter)

RESULT: 12

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I achieved this goal in 2019, hosting 12 Online Business Mastery Accelerator sessions to serve our members in helping them build their online business.

The Online Business Mastery Accelerator now includes 38 informative video trainings, with 78+ hours of additional content. This program shares my most effective strategies for continuously growing my online businesses. The strategies are extremely powerful and useful for ANY online business, but I apply them specifically to Amazon FBA, Kindle Publishing, Affiliate Marketing, and Information Products.

GOAL: 1 course completed

RESULT: 1 course completed

30. I will easily complete a Biocybernaut Training in Sedona, Arizona to optimize my mind and emotions by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 training attended

RESULT: 0 training attended

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to attend Biocybernaut in 2019 as my travel schedule was too hectic. I can improve my planning moving forward.

31. I will easily do an Ayahuasca ceremony in Costa Rica to continue to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 ceremony attended

Unfortunately, I didn't get to do this in 2019 and instead chose to re-schedule it for a later date when things aren't as hectic with my traveling.

32. I will easily hire a new life coach to help me grow and develop myself by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 new life coach

RESULT: 1 new life coach

PROGRESS: Achieved!

In Q1, I hired and have been working with more than one coach:

  • A Life Coach who has been helping me to increase my levels of performance
  • A Naturopath/Health Coach who has been helping me optimize my health and body
  • A Tantra Coach who has been helping Tatiana and I cultivate tantra practices into our relationship

I've always been a huge believer in coaching, as it's one of the most important things that has helped me progress in my life to where I am today.

33. I will easily complete a 30 Day Meditation Challenge using my Muse to continue calming the mind and evolve spiritually by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 30 days

RESULT: 0 days

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

While I meditated several times per week in 2019, I did not complete a full 30-day challenge as I had originally planned.

34. I will easily attend Tony Robbins Business Mastery to continue mastering my online business by December 31, 2019.

RESULT: 1 summit attended

PROGRESS: Achieved!

In August, Tatiana and I attended Tony Robbins Business Mastery event and it was great! It was actually my 2nd time attending and I got a lot of new distinctions from it that will help me grow my business.

RELATIONSHIP & SOCIAL GOALS:

35. I will easily do at least 12 sessions with my Tantra coach to continue creating more intimacy, love, passion and powerful multi-orgasmic experiences by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 sessions (3 per quarter)

RESULT: 3 sessions

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

Unfortunately, Tatiana and I didn't get to do 12 sessions with our Tantra coach – only 3 in 2019. It ended up being too difficult sticking to a consistent coaching schedule as we were traveling so much in 2019 and in different time zones.

36. I will easily do my Relationship Ritual with Tatiana at least once per month to continuously ensure we’re meeting each other’s needs and creating a passionate love affair that is legendary by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 relationship rituals (3 per quarter)

RESULT: 10 relationship rituals

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

In 2019, Tatiana and I did our relationship ritual 10 or 11 times – I know we missed at least one month doing it, possibly two (should've tracked better!). This has been an important ritual that we do to help ensure we maintain an outstanding relationship that is constantly growing!

During this ritual, we review our relationship vision, goals, and bucket list, as well as check in with each other on the 6 human needs and 5 love languages. This proactively grows our connection and communication, and we have found it keeps our relationship forever extraordinary.

If you'd like to learn how to implement a Relationship Ritual into your relationship, check out the training that Tatiana and I did inside the Life Mastery Accelerator.

37. I will easily plan a romantic, fun or adventurous date night with Tatiana at least twice per month by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 24 date nights (6 per quarter)

RESULT: 20, roughly

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

This goal wasn't achieved in 2019. To be honest, I didn't do a good job consistently tracking this goal as I should've. While we did travel a lot in 2019 and had a lot of fun and romantic experiences, I didn't track things accurately enough to fully know whether or not this goal was achieved.

38. I will easily socialize at least once per week with friends or strangers (in-person, Skype or phone) by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Socialize once per week

RESULT: Once every other week

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

I have a tendency to go into “work mode” at times and cut myself off from the world when I'm super focused, or to go in “travel mode”, so I'm a bit behind on the consistency of this goal. Most of my communications with friends is online these days using Skype, since I travel so much, which makes things difficult.

39. I will easily take off Saturday and Sunday from work (exception during events) to allow myself to rest, recover, have fun and create balance in my life by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Take weekends off work

RESULT: Take weekends off work

GOAL: 1 amazing journey

RESULT: 1 amazing journey

Watch my Bolivia Vlog.

41. I will easily travel to Costa Rica and enjoy at least 4 days fully off work by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 amazing journey

RESULT: 1 amazing journey

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

We decided not to go to Costa Rica in 2019 and instead travel to other parts of the world.

42. I will easily travel to Europe for at least 2 weeks and enjoy at least 7 days fully off work by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 amazing journey

This goal was cancelled, as we got invited to instead go to Fiji this year to spend time with Tony Robbins at his resort. We instead traveled in Q3 to New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore and South Africa.

43. I will easily take at least 7 days fully off work in December by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 7 days off

RESULT: 7+ days off

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I ended up taking over a week off work while visiting Tanzania and Kenya on a safari and volunteer trip. We also took more time off work during other parts of the year in our travels.

SPIRITUAL & CONTRIBUTION GOALS:

44. I will easily fund at least 3 new schools to be built with We.org by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $50,000 donated to build 3 schools

RESULT: $50,000 donated in 2019

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I'm thrilled that in 2019, I donated $50,000 to WE.org to build 3 new schools in Ethiopia and Kenya. We also went to Kenya in 2019 to visit one of the schools that I had helped build previously, along with volunteering to build a new one!

Click here to see my Kenya School Building Trip vlog.

Click here to learn more about a trip I did to Ethiopia for a school inauguration that I helped fund.

45. I will easily fundraise or donate at least $10,000 to build 3 new houses for families with TECHO or WorldHousing by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $10,000 raised to build 3+ houses

RESULT: $5267 raised publicly on this campaign

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

I actually only raised $5276 publicly on my fundraising campaign, coming up short on this goal, however I've personally donated the remaining amount to ensure that the $10,000 was achieved and 3+ houses are being built. . I've also matched all donations that people have made on that campaign.

CLICK HERE to learn more and donate!

For the last four years, I've been involved in funding houses for families suffering from poverty with different organizations. I've personally been a part of funding and building 6 houses so far, in El Salvador and Nicaragua. I plan on continuing this campaign and mission for 2019 and beyond!

46. I will easily loan at least $5,000 through Kiva.org to support those suffering from poverty by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $5,000 in microloans

RESULT: $5,000 in microloans

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I've continued to loan money to those in need in 2019, totalling $5,000 with Kiva.org.

47. I will easily listen to 4 audiobooks of the Word of Promise (Old Testament or New Testament) to continue learning about God and the Bible by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 4 complete audiobooks

RESULT: 0 completed audiobooks

PROGRESS: Not Achieved

I didn't achieve this goal in 2019 and instead focused on reading The New Testament from my Bible, which I find easier to follow than the audiobook.

48. I will easily connect with God every day through prayer, gratitude or conversation by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Pray everyday

RESULT: Pray everyday

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I achieved this goal in 2019. I love praying every day and connecting with God. It's one of my favorite things to do, so I find this goal fairly easy for me!

Knowing how to set goals while keeping your life in balance can be tricky.

In today's fast-paced world, it can seem like a far-fetched goal of achieving the ever-elusive work-life balance.

At the end of the day, it comes down to understanding what balance means to you.

Work-life balance isn't about getting everything perfect. Do you want to know how to set goals while still maintaining a healthy lifestyle?

Yes, you can do both. Keep reading to discover how!

Keeping your life in balance can be tricky.

If you struggle with work-life balance, you're not alone. Many of us have competing priorities that need our attention. Finding time to do everything can be challenging. Oftentimes, it's our mental and emotional health that is the first to take a hit.

A Gallup Wellbeing Index study found that 45 percent of entrepreneurs reported being stressed about their job and company and another 34 percent said they “worried a lot.” Can you relate? As an entrepreneur, I know all too well how difficult achieving ‘balance' can be.

However, over the years I've learned that if I don't make my health top priority, my business suffers, as does every area of my life. Don't get me wrong… if you want to succeed as an entrepreneur you have to be willing to ‘hustle.' However, it's equally as important to take care of yourself.

You will not be able to effectively add value and show up in the world if you are constantly living on autopilot. When it comes to creating work-life balance, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. The concept of balance means something different to everyone.

I had the opportunity to sit down with my good friend, Matt Clark and talk about how to set goals while keeping your life in balance. For those of you who don't know, Matt is the Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Amazing.com. This is a company that helps Amazon entrepreneurs build their own physical products business. Here are some questions that he asked me and my responses to them.

Let's dive in!

What does it take to get the most value out of a year? How do you structure things to make sure that you accomplish a lot?

Before I start planning for the year ahead, I like to reflect and debrief the previous year. I have a process for doing that. I look at all of my wins, successes, and accomplishments. If you just take that in, it will help you build momentum that you can carry forward.

I also look at the challenges and the struggles that I faced and what I learned from those experiences. If you don't learn from your failures, you will carry them with you into the next year. When it comes to planning ahead for the New Year, I first like to get clear on what my vision is.

I really believe that your goals are merely stepping stones to the ultimate vision that you have for your life. Your goals should bring you one step closer to where you want to be 10-20 years from now.

I think about the goals that I want to achieve in each area of my life – health, business, finances, relationship, spiritual, and contribution. Once I'm clear on my vision, I do a brainstorming process where I think about the different goals that I want to set in each of those areas.

I narrow down what I'm most excited to accomplish in each area.

Lastly, I make sure that I'm setting goals that are S.M.A.R.T., which is an acronym for specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. I have a system for following up to ensure that I'm on track with my goals. If I'm not making progress, I make the necessary adjustments. Setting goals is easy, but 98% of people who set New Years Resolutions don't follow through on them. I want to be one of the 2% of people who do follow through.

What strategies can people adopt to ensure that they stay motivated to achieve their goals?

Accountability is huge. Oftentimes when we set goals, we say, “Hey I'm going to achieve this”, but because we are only accountable to ourselves, we can easily back out. With my brand, Project Life Mastery, I publically share my goals every year. It's uncomfortable for me to do so because it creates a lot of pressure.

However, it ensures that I am more likely to follow through because I don't want to lose respect and credibility from my audience. Accountability can be found in the form of a Mastermind group, an accountability buddy, a coach or a mentor. You want to find someone who can help you stay on track.

Is it better to be balanced or it is better to be hyper-focused in one area of life?

It depends on what you want in your life and what that looks like. A lot of people want to build an online business so that they can create more freedom and spend more time with their family and friends. I have always valued balance. From the beginning, I knew that spending all of my time and energy on my business wasn't going to fulfill me.

I believe that there are areas of life that are much more important than making money.

For me, that's my health, emotions, relationship, and spirituality. At times, you will have to go out of balance and make sacrifices, especially if you are building a business. Fully being in balance doesn't exist. There are times in my life where I fully immerse myself in a project, to the point where I may be neglecting other areas of my life.

However, it's only for a short period of time. I always return back to the balanced state.  You've got to have a purpose for your day. Being proactive and strategic with your time will ensure that you are present in everything that you do. When you know what the outcome is for each task that you carry out, you will get so much more out of the experience.

This is how to set goals while keeping your life in balance.

Get clear on what work-life balance means to you and then set goals that align with the vision that you have for your life. If you push yourself too hard you will only end up suffering.

However, when you make it a priority to engage in healthy habits every day, you will set yourself up to win. Taking care of your mind, body and soul will give you the energy and motivation that you need to achieve your goals, especially on the days when you feel like giving up.

Setting New Year's resolutions is the best way to ensure that you achieve your goals in 2022.

A new decade is right around the corner. If you're like me, you're getting prepared and excited for a New Year.

Unfortunately, I see a lot of people make goal-setting mistakes when they are in the process of setting New Year's resolutions. As a result, they end up sabotaging their success.

I've been setting goals for many years. Ready to learn from my mistakes and set New Years resolutions the right way?

A New Year is a new chapter in your life.

You always want to make sure that the New Year is better than the year before. If you set that as your standard, it will happen. 2022 is your opportunity to set new goals and commitments that have the power to transform your life for the better.

When I reflect upon what I have been blessed to accomplish in my life, I attribute a lot of my success to my ability to set and achieve goals. When it comes to setting goals, I take a specific direction in each area of my life. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

Over the years, I've learned a lot about setting goals. Like a lot of people, I've made mistakes along the way. I want to share what those mistakes are, as well as what has worked for me. In doing so, my hope is that I will better set you up for success in 2020.

Here are 6 goal-setting tips that will help ensure that your New Years resolutions stick.

1. Set S.M.A.R.T. Goals

You want to make your New Years' resolutions are S.M.A.R.T. This is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely. One big mistake that people make is that their goals aren't specific, meaning that they aren't clear about what it is that they want.

For example, if you want to make more money, get clear on how much money you want to make in the New Year. Write down the dollar amount on a piece of paper.

Secondly, you want to make your goals measurable. This is what will allow you to track your progress over a specific period of time.

For example, if you know exactly how much money you want to make in a 12-month period, you can backward engineer and break down how much you will have to make in 3 months and 6 months' time. You want goals that are both result-oriented and process-oriented.

A result is a specific outcome that you are after. For example, I want to make $100,000. The process is the action plan that you will take in order to achieve that result. Process-oriented goals help you measure whether or not you are on track to achieving your result-oriented goal.

Another big mistake that people make is that they set unrealistic goals that are unattainable. For example, some people set the goal that they want to make $1 million dollars in one year. However, they've never even made $60,000 in one year.

Not surprisingly, they get discouraged and lose momentum. Don't get me wrong, you can achieve unrealistic goals over a ten-year period, but in a short period of time, like one year, it's unrealistic. This is why I always set goals that I know I can achieve.

When it comes to your desire and beliefs for the goals that you set, on a scale of 1 to 10, you want to be somewhere between level 7 and 10. You could set a goal that you have a 10 out of 10 desire for. However, if your belief is lower than a 7, you will be less likely to take action to achieve it.

This is a big reason why about 60 percent of people make New Year's resolutions but only about 8 percent of them are successful in achieving them. My sweet spot is setting goals where my desire and belief is at least at a level 7.

Lastly, you want to have a timeline in place for achieving your goals. Without a deadline, it's just a dream. When you schedule something all of a sudden it becomes real.

2. Write Down Your Goals

Thinking about your goals isn't enough. I recommend writing them down and phrasing them in a way that excites and motivates you. By using language like, “I will” presupposes that you will do something, versus saying, “I want to.”

Dr. Gail Matthews, a psychology professor at the Dominican University in California, found that you become 42% more likely to achieve your goals and dreams, simply by writing them down on a regular basis. Writing down my goals allows me to visually see what it is that I want to achieve, versus just thinking about them.

3. Find An Accountability Partner

A lot of people set New Year's resolutions but never achieve them because they don't have an accountability system in place. If you are only accountable to yourself, you are less likely to follow through. There's no consequence in place.

However, when you tell other people about your goals, it's harder to back out. Find an accountability partner, in the form of a close friend, a coach, a mentor, or a Mastermind group. Share your goals with them and ask them to hold you accountable for the achievement of your New Years' resolutions.

4. Check In On Your Goal Progress

I check in on my goal progress on a weekly basis, but you can do this on a monthly or quarterly basis. Checking in on your goals allows you to accurately assess the progress that you're making. It forces you to course adjust so that you can get back on track.

This is why I'm a big believer in the 100 Day Challenge. This is a goal-setting system that helps you achieve your goals faster. As part of the challenge, you are taught how to carry out an after-action review. This involves checking in on your goals on a bi-weekly basis and evaluating your progress or lack thereof. This is such an important part of the process. You need a system of success in place.

5. Be Mindful of The Number of Goals You Set

Be mindful of how many goals you can handle in each area of your life. If you set too many goals without a track record for achieving them, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Find a manageable amount that you know is achievable. You want your goals to stretch you, but you also want to make sure that they are attainable.

6. Be Flexible

When I first started setting New Year's resolutions, I had a hard time following through. I was a dabbler. With experience, I learned how to become very disciplined to ensure that I would never waiver from my goals and commitments. Over the years, I've learned that being flexible is the secret to goal-setting success. If you're too rigid and you don't allow yourself to adapt, you can miss out on a lot of great opportunities.

Are you ready to start setting New Year's resolutions?

Set goals and do the best that you can to achieve them. Yes, you will come up short sometimes, but that's OK. Don't let it hold you back from setting new goals in the future. At the end of the day, the purpose of setting and achieving goals is who you become in the process.

What are your New Years' resolutions? Make 2022 your best year yet.

Model my approach so that you can too! This is my Quarterly Goals Report for Quarter 3 of 2019. It’s my hope that you can take away something to inspire you in the pursuit of your own goals.

I have created a new and improved version of K Money Mastery which is called, Mastering Book Publishing!

Welcome to my third Quarterly Goals Report for 2019!

This is my Quarterly Goals Report for Quarter 3 of 2019. It’s my hope that you can take away something to inspire you in the pursuit of your own goals.

Before I dive into the 2019 goals I originally set, I want to first share with you some NEW GOALS that I achieved that weren't even on the list.

HEALTH & FITNESS GOALS:

1. I will easily eat clean at least 6 days per week to create optimal health, energy, vitality, and physical fitness by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Eating clean 6 days per week

RESULT: Eating clean 4-5 days per week

PROGRESS: On track

During Q3, it's tough to say exactly how clean my eating was due to the amount of travel I was doing. So far this year, I've travelled to 14 countries, which has made it a bit difficult to eat as cleanly as I'd like. However, if I were to guess, I'd say 4-5 days per week I've been eating clean to my standards. It's not as ideal as I'd like, but overall I'm happy to still be healthy and in-shape while being able to travel as much as I do.

PROGRESS: On track

During Q3, I've been doing yoga and some deep stretching twice per month, which has been great. I'd still like to go deeper with my yoga and stretching, but currently it's a bit difficult with the amount of travel I'm doing to attend yoga cl***es and whatnot.

RESULT: Sharing ASM throughout the year

PROGRESS: On track

In Q3, I've continued to work with my friends at ASM to help share their incredible program and provide some awesome bonuses for people. However, right now they're launching ASM11, which is their newest course which I'm extremely excited about. It's going to be better than ever… and I'm also providing some remarkable bonuses that will help people fast-track their results.

7. I will easily host at least 2 Online Business Mastery Mastermind events to be able to intimately help people build their online businesses by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 2 masterminds

RESULT: 1 mastermind

PROGRESS: On track I recently hosted my Online Business Mastery Mastermind event in July and then have another upcoming in December of 2019, which is now sold out!

I'm hosting one in January 2020, which does have a few spots open right now, but is almost sold out too. 🙂

8. I will easily re-design StefanJames.com by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Redesign StefanJames.com

RESULT: Site improvements made

PROGRESS: On track

In Q1, I was able to make some updates to StefanJames.com – however, we haven't started the official re-design process yet. It's something that will be started later in the year once I complete some other projects that are more important.

9. I will easily create and launch Mastering Book Publishing to help publishers make money online by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Create a rebranded book publishing course

RESULT: In process

PROGRESS: On track

In Q3, I've been making some great strides towards getting my new publishing course ready, called Mastering Book Publishing. It's been taking longer than I'd like, because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and have been going over-board towards making it the best out there.

For example, right now as part of this project I hired a company to create a new membership site called Project Life Mastery University. It's going to host all of my courses and we're going to have badges and achievements that members can win as they go through the courses. This has been a big project taking quite a while to complete, but will be incredible once it's available.

The other challenge is also finding the right time in my schedule to focus on launching the new course, which has been difficult with all of my travel and other projects we've got going on. I'm hoping I can still launch it this year, but I've learned that there's many things that can happen outside of my control to delay things and I'm not going to stress over that too much. When it's ready, it'll be ready – I prefer not to rush things and half-*** it, rather than making sure it's done right!

10. I will easily improve Affiliate Marketing Mastery to help members get results while continuing to optimize my webinars and funnels for Affiliate Marketing Mastery by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Improve Affiliate Marketing Mastery

RESULT: Improving community

PROGRESS: On track

In Q3, the biggest improvements we've made to Affiliate Marketing Mastery have been to our funnel and our Facebook group community. I've been really happy with the progress of AMM so far this year, but there's still a lot more that I have planned that I'd like to focus on later in the year and in 2020!

11. I will easily create and launch a new Amazon product and transparently share the process by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 product

RESULT: 0 products

PROGRESS: Haven't started I haven't started this goal yet due to a few others that I'd like to complete first that are more important.

12. I will easily publish at least 2 new books on Amazon by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 2 books

RESULT: 1 book published

PROGRESS: On track In Q1, I published a new book titled 67 Morning Ritual Habits For Your Body, Mind And Spirit which is now available on Amazon as a Kindle book, Paperback book and Audiobook. The launch of this book has been helping me with the last round of Amazon experiments I've been conducting for my new publishing course.

13. I will easily improve Morning Ritual Mastery to help members get results while continuing to optimize my funnels by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Improve Morning Ritual Mastery

RESULT: Haven't started

PROGRESS: Haven't started I haven't started this goal yet as I'm currently focused on completing a few other important ones.

PROGRESS: Haven't started yet I haven't started this yet. Right now we've been hiring for some other positions and will be re-evaluating things over the next few months to see how things go, along with the new positions/roles that would need to be filled.

17. I will easily publish at least 150 videos on the Project Life Mastery YouTube channel by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 150 videos (37.5 per quarter)

RESULT: 132

PROGRESS: On track

This quarter, I published 38 new videos on the YouTube channel and podcast. I've been consistently publishing 3 videos per week, sometimes more, and would like to continue this habit.

RESULT: 117

PROGRESS: Behind

This quarter, I published 35 new blog posts, which you can find right here on the Project Life Mastery blog. I'm a bit behind on this goal (33 short through Q2), however, we've adjusted this goal as a team and I'm happy about what I've published so far and the quality of content that my team and I are producing.

19. I will easily host at least 12 Life Mastery Accelerator monthly mentoring sessions by December 31, 2019.

In Q3, I've been fairly consistent with my morning ritual – however, there were times during traveling I was off track due to the time zone change. If you're looking for help with your morning ritual, make sure you get my new book: 67 Morning Rituals Habits on Amazon!

30. I will easily complete a Biocybernaut Training in Sedona, Arizona to optimize my mind and emotions by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 training attended

RESULT: 0 training attended

PROGRESS: Haven't scheduled yet This hasn't been scheduled yet. Will need to try to find the best opening for this with my crazy schedule for 2019 so far!

31. I will easily do an Ayahuasca ceremony in Costa Rica to continue to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 ceremony attended

RESULT: 0 ceremony attended

PROGRESS: Moved to 2020

PROGRESS: Haven't started yet I haven't started this challenge yet. I'll be using my Muse and HeartMath Inner Balance devices to help me measure and fast-track my progress.

34. I will easily attend Tony Robbins Business Mastery to continue mastering my online business by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 summit attended

PROGRESS: Behind

This has been behind so far this year, as we've been traveling so much and it's been difficult to coordinate time zones and get back into a routine with our coach. We're planning to get back on track once we're in one place for a longer period of time.

36. I will easily do my Relationship Ritual with Tatiana at least once per month to continuously ensure we’re meeting each other’s needs and creating a p***ionate love affair that is legendary by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 relationship rituals (3 per quarter)

RESULT: 8 relationship rituals

PROGRESS: Behind

Every month, Tatiana and I engage in a ritual together that allows us to ensure we have an outstanding relationship.

RESULT: 8

PROGRESS: Behind

Tatiana and I like to make sure we're each planning a date night for us once a week to add more romance, variety and excitement to our relationship!

However, we are actually behind on this goal – some big projects and travel got us a bit behind on this goal. We're not so much concerned about being “perfect” with this goal, as we often over-achieve on it when we're traveling or in different phases, but we still like to do our best to maintain this ritual.

38. I will easily socialize at least once per week with friends or strangers (in-person, Skype or phone) by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Socialize once per week

RESULT: Once every other week

PROGRESS: Behind

I have a tendency to go into “work mode” at times and cut myself off from the world when I'm super focused, or to go in “travel mode”, so I'm a bit behind on the consistency of this goal. Most of my communications with friends is online these days using Skype, since I travel so much, which makes things difficult.

39. I will easily take off Saturday and Sunday from work (exception during events) to allow myself to rest, recover, have fun and create balance in my life by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Take weekends off work

RESULT: Take weekends off work

PROGRESS: On track

In Q3, I was able to take quite a bit of time off while traveling – not just the weekends, but to enjoy a lot more freedom that living the laptop lifestyle provides. Lots of fun adventures and experiences that Tatiana and I had together!

TRAVEL, FUN & LIFESTYLE GOALS:

40. I will easily travel to South America for at least 3 weeks and enjoy at least 7 days fully off work by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 amazing journey

RESULT: 1 amazing journey

PROGRESS: Achieved!

In May, Tatiana and I traveled to Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. We decided that 3 months was more than we would've liked to spend in South America, we were comfortable with about a month visiting those locations.

Watch my Argentina and Chile Vlog.

Watch my Bolivia Vlog.

41. I will easily travel to Costa Rica and enjoy at least 4 days fully off work by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 amazing journey

RESULT: 1 amazing journey

PROGRESS: On track Hasn't been scheduled yet for 2019.

42. I will easily travel to Europe for at least 2 weeks and enjoy at least 7 days fully off work by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 amazing journey

RESULT: Cancelled

PROGRESS: Cancelled

This goal was cancelled, as we got invited to instead go to Fiji this year to spend time with Tony Robbins at his resort. We instead traveled in Q3 to New Zealand, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore and South Africa.

43. I will easily take at least 7 days fully off work in December by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 7 days off

RESULT: 7+ days off

PROGRESS: Achieved!

I ended up taking over a week off work while visiting Tanzania and Kenya on a safari and volunteer trip.

SPIRITUAL & CONTRIBUTION GOALS:

44. I will easily fund at least 3 new schools to be built with We.org by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $50,000 donated to build 3 schools

RESULT: $0 donated in 2019

PROGRESS: On track

This is currently in the process of being planned for December of 2019 with We.org.

RESULT: $4480

PROGRESS: Behind

In Q3, I've raised $1600 towards building houses for families and matched it with my own $1600, bringing the total amount to $4480 for 2019.

RESULT: $4,917 in microloans

PROGRESS: On track

47. I will easily listen to 4 audiobooks of the Word of Promise (Old Testament or New Testament) to continue learning about God and the Bible by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 4 complete audiobooks

RESULT: 0 completed audiobooks

PROGRESS: Behind

In Q3, I'm behind on this goal and haven't completed any audiobooks. I'll be picking up the slack here!

In 2018, I listened to the audiobooks of:

  • The Book Of Genesis
  • The Book of Exodus
  • The Book of Leviticus
  • The Book of Numbers

48. I will easily connect with God every day through prayer, gratitude or conversation by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Pray everyday

RESULT: Pray everyday

PROGRESS: On track

I'm on track with this goal – I love praying every day and connecting with God. It's one of my favorite things to do, so I find this goal fairly easy for me!

My secret weapon to achieving my goals has been using accountability systems, such as the 100 Day Challenge, which has given me that extra edge throughout the year to push myself harder.

The biggest mistake people make when setting goals is never even checking them again or measuring them regularly, which is what this 100 Day Challenge helps you to do.

I have created a new and improved version of K Money Mastery which is called, Mastering Book Publishing!

Welcome to my second Quarterly Goals Report for 2019!

This is my Quarterly Goals Report for Quarter 2 of 2019.

RESULT: Eating clean 3 days per week
PROGRESS: Behind

During the first half of Q2, I was on a detox plan and eating very clean 7x per week.  However, during the 2nd half of Q2, I've been traveling around South America and Africa, and so I haven't been able to eat clean consistently.  I'd say that I've been eating clean about 3 days per week, which isn't ideal.  Once I'm more back into a consistent travel schedule and routine, I'll be able to get back into a more consistent eating plan.

PROGRESS: On track

I've been on track with this goal of doing yoga twice per month, however, I'd like to go deeper with yoga than I currently am now.

I've mostly been doing my own practice or watching guided yoga sessions online, which has been good – but not the same as being in a yoga class.  I'm proud that I've been on track here, but it's not ideally at the level I'd like it to be at, which means there's room for improvement for next quarter.

4. I will easily get to at least 10% body fat and have my abs showing and celebrate by doing a fitness photoshoot by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 10% body fat by the end of 2019
RESULT:
10% body fat
PROGRESS:
Achieved!

FINANCIAL GOALS:

5. I will easily save or invest at least $1,500,000 USD by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $1,500,000 USD
RESULT:
$670,463 USD
PROGRESS:
On track

So far for 2019, I've saved and invested over $670,463 USD.  While this is still a large amount, it's actually a lot less than what I'd normally save and invest, due to recently paying a departure tax to Canada for 2018.

When you become a non-resident of Canada (and other countries, like the USA), there is a departure tax which is based on capital gains of all your assets as if you've sold them.  This was a big process that required getting a formal evaluation done of my businesses and assets in Canada, then determining the tax I'd have to pay.

So far in 2019, I've been investing more into stocks – especially during some of the market drops in the US markets.

RESULT:
 Sharing ASM throughout the year
PROGRESS:
On track

In Q2, I've been sharing the Amazing Selling Machine (ASM) and my incredible bonuses for those that are looking to start their own Amazon business from scratch.

ASM is the best Amazon training program I've come across and is what started Tatiana and I's journey selling physical products on Amazon.  I'm passionate about their program, which is why I happily share it with those that are looking to start.  So far in 2019, I've been sharing ASM throughout my content and promoting any webinar trainings that they're hosting.

I don't have all the details yet, but I believe they'll be launching a brand-new course later this year (ASM11), which they always give existing members free access to.  One thing that makes them the best is that they're constantly improving and making the course better for their members.

CLICK HERE to learn more about the Amazing Selling Machine.

If you're interested in joining, get my FREE bonuses:  CLICK HERE to find out how to get them.

7. I will easily host at least 2 Online Business Mastery Mastermind events to be able to intimately help people build their online businesses by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 2 masterminds
RESULT:
1 masterminds
PROGRESS:

I recently hosted my Online Business Mastery Mastermind event in July and then have another upcoming in December of 2019, which is almost sold out!

mastermind stefan james

8. I will easily re-design StefanJames.com by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Redesign StefanJames.com
RESULT:
Site improvements made
PROGRESS:
On track

In Q1, I was able to make some updates to StefanJames.com – however, we haven't started the official re-design process yet.  It's something that will be started later in the year once I complete some other projects that are more important.

9. I will easily create and launch Mastering Book Publishing to help publishers make money online by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Create a rebranded book publishing course
RESULT:
In process
PROGRESS:
On track

I've been working on developing a brand-new publishing course, which I don't want to reveal the name of quite yet (it'll be a surprise!).  I'm happy with the progress I've been making here so far – I've been testing a lot of book publishing and marketing strategies lately, which I'm excited to share.

This course will likely cost more money than Mastering Book Publishing does – however, existing members will be getting the new course for FREE (along with a few other perks).

10. I will easily improve Affiliate Marketing Mastery to help members get results while continuing to optimize my webinars and funnels for Affiliate Marketing Mastery by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Improve Affiliate Marketing Mastery
RESULT:
Improving community
PROGRESS:
On track

In Q1, the biggest improvements we've made to Affiliate Marketing Mastery has been starting to improve our community.

We hired a full-time community manager, that will be helping to improve the experience of our Facebook group and the value everyone receives there.  We're in the process of adding new ideas that will help members, such as ways for members to collaborate together and support each other more to growing their online brand.

11. I will easily create and launch a new Amazon product and transparently share the process by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 product
RESULT:
0 products
PROGRESS:
Haven't started

I haven't started this goal yet due to a few others that I'd like to complete first that are more important.

12. I will easily publish at least 2 new books on Amazon by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 2 books
RESULT:
1 book published
PROGRESS:
On track

In Q1, I published a new book titled 67 Morning Ritual Habits For Your Body, Mind And Spirit which is now available on Amazon as a Kindle and Paperback version.

RESULT:
Haven't started
PROGRESS:
Haven't started

I haven't started this goal yet as I'm currently focused on completing a few other important ones.

14. I will easily hire a new social media marketer to help me grow my social media by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 new social media marketer
RESULT:
1 new social media marketer
PROGRESS:
Achieved!

RESULT:
1 new assistant
PROGRESS:
Achieved!

RESULT:
0 new project manager
PROGRESS:

I haven't started this yet.

RESULT:
94
PROGRESS:
On track

This quarter, I published 52 new videos on the YouTube channel and podcast.  I've been consistently publishing 3 videos per week, sometimes more, and would like to continue this habit.

RESULT: 82
PROGRESS: Behind

This quarter, I published 37 new blog posts, which you can find right here on the Project Life Mastery blog.

GOAL: 1 course completed
RESULT: 0 course completed
PROGRESS: On track

I'm currently still completing this course.

25. I will easily complete the Untethered Soul course to continue to develop mentally, emotionally and spiritually by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 course completed
RESULT: 1 course completed
PROGRESS: Achieved!

During Q2, Tatiana and I completed a course called “Living From A Place Of Surrender” by Michael Singer.  I highly recommend this course, especially if you've enjoyed Michael Singer's other work, such as his books The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment.

26. I will easily do a morning ritual at least 6 days per week to be at my best every day by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 6 morning rituals per week
RESULT: 6 morning rituals per week
PROGRESS: On track

In Q2, I've been fairly consistent with my morning ritual – however, there were times during my trip to Africa where I was off track due to the time zone change and waking up early for safari's and volunteer activities.

If you're looking for help with your morning ritual, make sure you get my new book: 67 Morning Rituals Habits on Amazon!

27. I will easily complete a Biocybernaut Training in Sedona, Arizona to optimize my mind and emotions by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 training attended
RESULT: 0 training attended
PROGRESS: Haven't scheduled yet

This hasn't been scheduled yet.  Will need to try to find the best opening for this with my crazy schedule for 2019 so far!

28. I will easily do an Ayahuasca ceremony in Costa Rica to continue to grow mentally, emotionally and spiritually by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 ceremony attended
RESULT: 0 ceremony attended
PROGRESS: Haven't scheduled yet

I haven't scheduled this yet, but am close to finalizing a date for it in 2019 or 2020.

30. I will easily complete a 30 Day Meditation Challenge using my Muse to continue calming the mind and evolve spiritually by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 30 days
RESULT: 0 days
PROGRESS: Haven't started yet

I haven't started this challenge yet.

I'll be using my Muse and HeartMath Inner Balance devices to help me measure and fast-track my progress.

31. I will easily attend Tony Robbins Business Mastery to continue mastering my online business by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 summit attended
RESULT: 0 summit attended
PROGRESS: Haven't scheduled yet

This goal was originally to attend Tony Robbins Life & Wealth Mastery, however, recently Tony invited me to attend his Business Mastery event in Las Vegas as a gift.  So I'll be attending that one now instead (will be my 2nd time attending).

RELATIONSHIP & SOCIAL GOALS:

32. I will easily do at least 12 sessions with my Tantra coach to continue creating more intimacy, love, passion and powerful multi-orgasmic experiences by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 sessions (3 per quarter)
RESULT: 3 sessions
PROGRESS: Behind

Tatiana and I started working with our Tantra Coach again in March and we've completed three sessions so far.  I'm a bit behind on this goal as we started working with her late and also have been traveling around South America and Africa during Q2, but would like to get back into this goal later.

33. I will easily do my Relationship Ritual with Tatiana at least once per month to continuously ensure we’re meeting each other’s needs and creating a passionate love affair that is legendary by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 12 relationship rituals (3 per quarter)
RESULT: 6 relationship rituals
PROGRESS: On track

Every month, Tatiana and I engage in a ritual together that allows us to ensure we have an outstanding relationship.

34. I will easily plan a romantic, fun or adventurous date night with Tatiana at least twice per month by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 24 date nights (6 per quarter)
RESULT: 4
PROGRESS: Behind

Tatiana and I like to make sure we're each planning a date night for us once a week to add more romance, variety and excitement to our relationship!

However, we are actually behind on this goal – some big projects and travel got us a bit behind on this goal.  We're not so much concerned about being “perfect” with this goal, as we often over-achieve on it when we're traveling or in different phases, but we still like to do our best to maintain this ritual.

36. I will easily take off Saturday and Sunday from work (exception during events) to allow myself to rest, recover, have fun and create balance in my life by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: Take weekends off work
RESULT: Only sometimes
PROGRESS: Behind

In the beginning of Q2, I struggled with this one as I was focused on the big launch with Tony Robbins.  However, for the 2nd half of Q2, I brought more balance back into my life and taking the weekends off.

TRAVEL, FUN & LIFESTYLE GOALS:

38. I will easily travel to Costa Rica and enjoy at least 4 days fully off work by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: 1 amazing journey
RESULT: 1 amazing journey
PROGRESS: On track

Hasn't been scheduled yet for 2019.

We instead decided that we'd spend some time in that part of the world, perhaps in New Zealand and Thailand.

GOAL: $10,000 raised to build 3+ houses

43. I will easily loan at least $5,000 through Kiva.org to support those suffering from poverty by December 31, 2019.

GOAL: $5,000 in microloans
RESULT: $2,185 in microloans
PROGRESS: On track

GOAL: 4 complete audiobooks
RESULT: 0 completed audiobooks
PROGRESS: Behind

In Q2, I'm behind on this goal and haven't completed any audiobooks.  I'll be picking up the slack here!

In 2018, I listened to the audiobooks of:
  • The Book Of Genesis
  • The Book of Exodus
  • The Book of Leviticus
  • The Book of Numbers

Before you can design your perfect day you have to know what is important to you.

This starts with understanding what your vision is. I believe that all of us need to have a compelling vision that makes us come alive inside.

Research shows that those who have a vision will be far more successful than those who don't.

I'm going to share with you one of my favorite exercises for figuring out what you really want from life.

What does your perfect day involve?

If you don't know the answer to this question, visualization is the best place to start. Take a moment to close your eyes and imagine what you would be doing, who you would be doing it with, and how you would feel. Get as specific as possible. Without a compelling future that drives you forward, you will lack motivation and excitement.

A new study from psychologists at Washington University in St. Louis found that the imagination has the extraordinary capacity to shape reality. The authors suggest that “this is the first study showing that merely imagining something close to our hands will cause us to pay more attention to it.” I've experienced this first-hand in my own life.

One of my favorite visualization exercises is called “The Perfect Day.”

This is an awesome exercise for gradually building the life of your dreams. It's an opportunity to reflect upon what you love to do if there were zero limitations in your life. I've been practicing this exercise for many years now. When you think about your perfect day, ask yourself some of the following questions. Journal out, hour-by-hour, what it would look like.

  • What time would you wake up?
  • Where would you live?
  • What would your house look like?
  • How would you feel throughout the day?
  • What would you be doing at work?
  • Describe what your relationship would be like with your significant other

These are just a few examples of questions that you could ask yourself. Feel free to create questions of your own that resonate with you. Doing this exercise works. I encourage you to give it a try and see if you are able to start manifesting aspects of your perfect day into your everyday life.

Ready to design your perfect day?

Commit to building the foundation for your perfect day. It is well worth the investment of your time and energy. Yes, it may take time to transform your vision into reality. However, if you want it bad enough, you won't give up on your dreams.

Think of your imagination as a preview of your life's coming attractions. In the words of Albert Einstein, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”

Don't wait. Start designing your dream life today.
